Eternal Creatures

The first episode of a new show hosted by Eternal Creatures.  After Lizz’s recent move to New Jersey, she is back with her own series based on her Substack name ela.ink.  In this series, Lizz brings you her personal insights on the art, writings and ideas that inspire her.  Today, she and Andrew discuss Hillary Duff’s tour, Music that is meaningful to Lizz and lessons from her recent move.

Season 2 is officially here!  And we are beginning the season with our new friend Jacqueline!  In this episode, Andrew and Lukie P introduce you to their new co-star with a quick round of questions, new music and a talk about Christian men being feminine.

Andrew returns for the final episode of Season 1 of Eternal Creatures.  He opens the show with a quote from the book “Room for Good Things to Run Wild” by Josh Nadeau.  This line is the first sentence of Josh’s “Liturgy of the Ordinary Saint” and this is Andrew’s first attempt at a new series that explores each line of this modern liturgy and how it relates to his life personally.  In this episode, Andrew examines the quote “Find Life, Depart the Realm of the Dead” by discussing his path to realizing that God is more of a need that he once thought.  He ends the episode discussing his hopes for the series and his excitement toward Season 2 as a whole!  

The Gang is finally back!  The Tan Hat Gang has returned to Abide in God Studios for Lizz’s last in-person episode.  This special episode is an interview that gives yall the opportunity to learn about this special cast member!  Lizz talks about her history with music, path to ministry, and experience being adopted from China.

Today, Lizz joins Andrew at his home studio!  The two catch up on what has been happening in Lizz’s life and how she has been preparing and processing her move.  They then discuss the spiritual gift of Faith and how it applies to Andrew’s struggle with disillusionment.  This leads to a conversation about the need for imagination in a life of faith in God.

Today, Andrew has another solo episode where he discusses his fear of animals, the joy of crying and his observations on the components of a beautiful life.

Today, Andrew records his first solo episode from his new apartment!  He opens with a talk about the World Cup and his past experience with Argentina!  He then moves on to talk about the difficulty he has had moving to a new space and some thoughts he gained while thinking of his own spiritual blindness.  No answers to this one, just thoughts to ponder.

In Today’s Episode, Lizz and Andrew have quite a coming-of-age episode as they discuss some new developments in their personal lives.  Followed by Lizz introducing a segment from another podcast about your last meal.  Then the two discuss the cultural discussion around the marriage and pregnancy of Alex Cooper, host of the Call Her Daddy podcast.  Finally, Andrew and Lizz ponder on what they want to be when they grow up and what life has taught them about work and identity.

In today’s episode, Andrew B., Lukie P., and Lizzie A. come together for more riveting discussion.  Starting with Andrew promoting  the new book by producer and Abide in God Studios owner, Keith McMinn called “No One Like Him” and sharing his time at the book signing.  Then the cast try to figure out if they care about current events involving Meg Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson, Russell Brand, and Forrest Frank.  After, they give their new music suggestions.  Finally, Andrew asks the cast about what it really means to rest in difficult times leading to a discussion about the importance of play.

Brooklyn and Lizz return to the podcast!  They join Luke and Andrew in presenting their artist of the week.  Andrew discusses the pitfalls of perfectionism with his Artist of the Week nomination.  Then a discussion of Ella Langley’s new album “Dandelion” leads to a conversation about comparison among Christians.

After a long week for everyone, Andrew decided, we just need a chat.  Lizz is back with the boys to talk new music and ask some questions that make them think a little.

Today, for the first time ever, it’s just Da Boyz!   Andrew and Luke take over the pod to discuss future plans for fatherhood and a new article by rapper Jon Keith about how Christianity is a religion, not a relationship.

Today the crew is back with all 3 members of the cast!  They are back with updates on life and a difficult discussion surrounding Pastor Mike Winger’s video series exposing the dirt behind Bethel church!  Led by Luke and Lizz, they talk about Bethel itself and what this says about a lack of accountability in the charismatic church.  They also highlight new music and a new book by Josh Nadeau “Heaven Meets Earth”.

Andrew’s had a rough day!  He didn’t do so great at work.  And he’s not feeling his best.  Sit with him at the Tiny Table and discuss those days when you don’t feel the most useful and you would like to do greater things for God.  Let him remind you that, no matter what, you are loved and important!

When Luke is away, Lizz and Andrew will play!  The duo start with updates about their lives, the incredible mediocrity of Cook Out, and Lizz’s beef with the New England Patriots.  Then they give their opinions about the month’s major music events.  First they give credit to Christians who won at the Grammy's.  And finally they discuss the Super Bowl halftime show with Bad Bunny, the response of many conservatives and the alternate halftime show hosted by Turning Point USA.
