Whether or not you know it, we are at war. All day and everyday there are dark forces doing battle with the Kingdom of the Living God. I remember when my kids were little, they were constantly imitating me. Sometimes they were being cute, other times they were being sassy. I loved it either way. A father loves to see his actions, his heart and his values on display in his kids. The same is true of you and I. Our father loves to see us live as “imitators of God, in everything we do”. We don’t live our faith out in a vacuum. There is no such thing as a Lone Ranger, or Marlboro Man in the family of Christ. We need one another. Period. So, is our role simply to police and discipline one another? No. God’s man needs men to call him up, not simply call him out. We have been saved. Rescued. Brought back to life. But for what? What were we saved to? To amass things? To obtain power, possessions or new and higher positions? No! We exist to make sure Heaven is a crowded place. How do we move from seeing the sharing of the Gospel as a burden and a chore, into the truth that it is a beautiful privilege?
