The Deceitful Heart
The heart is the control center of a person, and it is always deceitful...without YHWHLike we said in this weeks episode, the concept here is simple. The heart will always lead us the wrong way- but YHWH will always lead us to His truth.Application of this is where we get tripped up- it requires incredible patience and fortitude to stop and pray before making any decision. Especially in those high emotion moments when the last thing we want to do is put our emotions away. That is all apart of the refining process though, we must walk right into it ready to be changed from the inside out. Letting scripture define scripture, we see this concept is woven all throughout scripture from beginning to end. It is repeated time and time again for a reason- He wants us to grasp it. He is begging us to understand.YHWH's wisdom is perfection- lean into it. Recognizing the Donkeys in our Life
Sometimes, the Delay is Deliverance. We need to be repeating this phrase daily. Every time you feel as if YHWH isn't paying attention- or not moving quick enough- or maybe even He just doesn't care about the situation you are praying over....get into the habit of looking at every area of your life how YHWH does. What is He delivering me from? Is this roadblock actually His mercy? Is He calling me to slow down and hear Him more?Have I fumbled the blessings He has given me?Is this a Holy interruption? We need to stop trying to force our way forward on the path WE want, and start understanding that the wilderness is most often for our own good. We need to start recalling that faith means trust- trusting that His will His plan His way is far better than we could ever understand. We need to start accepting the Fathers refining fire- embrace that process and allow yourself to be changed mightily. If you are someone - like Amanda- who is currently satruggling through a very real life scenario that is tearing you apart. Something that is causing you to question. Something that makes you feel like you cannot possibly continue on....perhaps it is time you show that faith you have deep in your soul. Ask Him what it is He needs you to do/learn/change and then do it. What a way to end a trial faster than you were before! Let us all walk in faith this week- remembering that YHWH is calling us somewhere for a VERY good reason. Just put one foot in front of the other and let it be. Sowing Mustard, Growing Faith
Faith is divinely inspired by the spirit through the word of YHWH...So it's time to get in it.As you heard in this weeks episode, this topic came about in such a simple- small as a mustard seed- kind of way. And then it grew deep rooted in all of our hearts. Because what YHWH does best is create. We drop a seed- and He tends it like only He can. If you are like the three of us, you have spent your entire life thinking the reference to mustard seed faith meant small faith. Tiny faith doing big things. But hopefully after this weeks dive into the meaning behind such simple words- you are clearly able to see the profound meaning that has been there all along. When we allow the Father to tend to the seeds- the garden grows behind anything we could ever imagine. Much like the mustard plant, taking over everything around. But just as Amanda warned us, we are made to be here tending to that garden as well. We have to pluck the weeds of doubt. We have to be watchful for fungus and root rot. We have to be vigilant in actively planting our belief and allowing it to grow into a tree that gives shade and shelter to everyone around us. Its a lot of responsibility right? But it comes with the most magnificent reward. Its worth it. Oh so very worth it. Psalm 23
We've all heard this verse more times than we can count. In this weeks episode we took one of the most recognized Psalms and looked at it through a few different lenses. Isn't that what we all do with scripure- look at it through our own lens? We must be careful in doing so, as we don't want to lose the most important lens- YHWHs. While looking at Psalm 23, we applied the ancient Hebrew lens, Messianic lens, the lens of motherhood, and the lens we all apply when we are going through the muck at the worst parts of our lives. Whatever you are struggling through- remembering the words of Psalm 23- and how they point us to Messiah- will always be a healing salve on our wounds. He is there. He cares. He is walking with us. He wants us to be with Him. He forgives us. He loves us. So embrace the Shepherd's call to trust His provision and leadership. Resisting Temptation
Temptation is not sin in itself, but yeilding to it is.We are all grownups here- people who are actively seeking out how to live life the way YHWH has asked us to...so I am going to be blunt here, just as we were in the episode itself. You have been given a job. Read His scripture, understand His word, apply it to your life. So thaty is exactly how we defeat our flesh. That is exactly how we resist temptation. We learn to hate it as He would hate it, and then we wont be able to imagine a life where we give in to those temptations. Will they disappear and never knock on our door again? Absolutely not. We will have to make this hard choice every single day. The choice to follow Him and deny this world. The choice to not live in rebellion. The choice to keep digging deeper and find His narrow path. The choice to seek other- better- things to do with our time than give in to temptation. As Amy reminded us in this weeks episode, we are guiding our children to live in righteousness. To do so better than we ever did ourselves. Thats the mission. As Amanda reminded us, Our "feelings" happen...but how we respond to those feelings matter. Whether you are suffering from the ever lurking sexual temptations on this world, or battling the emotional ones. Standing toe to toe with the physical temptation that threatens to take over your life, or falling to the social temptaion to "fit in"- it is time we stop holding sin to our chests. We must let it go and place our faith- and our trust- in YHWH the Most High and in His promises. He is our defender. He is our redeemer. He is our shalom. He is our strength. SO put down your high hand- and stop willfully and arrogantly rebelling against YHWHScriptures referenced in this episode:📖Luke 22:54-62📖 Exodus 32:1-6📖 James 4:7📖 Ecclesiastes 4:12📖 James 1:14-15📖 Proverbs 22:6📖 Matthew 4:1-11📖Matthew 26:41📖Psalm 101:3📖 Genesis 39:12📖 Proverbs 13:20📖 1 Corinthians 10:13📖 Galatians 6:9📖Hebrews 10:26-27📖 Numbers 15:30-31📖 Deuteronomy 8:2📖 1 Corinthians 6:18📖 Psalm 119:11📖 2 Corinthians 10:4-5📖 Galatians 5:16-17Resources mentioned in this episode:You can find us all here on our social accounts, Amanda FB, Amy FB, Tracee FB, Tracee IGOr shoot us an email at [email protected] We would love to hear from you! {Prayer request, topic ideas, just to say hi, anything at all}Also, you can find us all involved in the Rooted in His Word Ministry You can contact the Ministry to join us in small group settings! Living Out His Truth: Introvert Style
Living out YHWH's Truth- boldly- might be the most important thing we can do on this Earth. Being an introvert has a way of making this life mighty difficult for so many of us- the anxiety, the loneliness, the overwhelm, the fear, etc etc etcBut our Elohim is bigger than that, right?!We read many verses in this weeks episode that speak on the importance of walking out our faith in a way that invites others to join us on the journey. That is exactly what Yeshua did when He came here- and it is exactly what He asked us to do when He had to leave. He even gave us a helper to do it. His Holy Spirit- The Ruach Hacodesh. This character trait of ours- the one that makes us prefer quiet intimate relationships, or makes us shy away from the mental load of being on the go all of the time- isnt a "downfall". It is, however, something the enemy is also keenly aware of. Unfortunately, we often give the enemy the power to twist and enlarge this character trait into something dark and fearful. Rather than utilizing it as the Gift of YHWH that we should use it as. We never want to fall in the snares of the enemy- I think every believer alive today can agree on that- but what are you going to do to stop it? Step 1: recognize it for what it is. The enemy taking your gift- your walk with Our Father- and using it against you by making you think it is a downfall, making you anxious, making you fearful, making you close your mouth rather than preach His glory and goodness from the mountain tops. We did not have many resources for this episode- aside from a long list of scripture references that I will list below- we hope that you found this weeks lesson helpful and encouraging. We pray you will find the strength to seek out ways to share His good news with this world that so desperately needs it. Seeking out the Narrow Gate.
In order to find the Narrow Gate- we must shed the weight of this world. This is quite often a difficult topic to discuss, but that just means we need to do it more often. We must get comfortable with hard conversations- mainly with ourself- that will convict us and lead us to repentance. Many will find the path to distruction- but veryfew will find the path to everlasting life in the Kingdom.VERY FEW.i cannot speak for you- but I know I do not want to let this fallen world and all of is temporary comforts keep me from seeking out, finding, and staying on the narrow path. I want to allow the light of Yeshua to illuminate the way to His narrow gate and then follow Him along the narrow path right to the Kingdom of Heaven. Right to everlasting life with YHWH.If that means looking like I'm crazy to this world, or putting away the idea of ease and comfort while I am in this fleshy body- so be it.I will stay in His word.I will honor His commands.I will praise His name daily.I will put away the ways of this world.I will be set-apart.How about you?Scriptures referenced in this episode:📖Matthew 7 (full chapter)📖 Matthew 7:13-14📖 Galatians 5:7📖 Romans 8:13📖 Ephesians 6:12📖 Romans 6:1-2📖 Psalm 119:105📖 John 14:6📖 Proverbs 3:5-7📖 Ecclesiastes 2:1-11📖 Matthew 19:16-26📖 Deuteronomy 30:19📖 Psalm 1:6📖 Proverbs 4:26-27📖 Proverbs 14:12📖 Proverbs 3:5-6📖 Isaiah 10:22📖 Micah 6:8Resources mentioned in this episode:Little Pilgrims Progress BookLittle Pilgrims Progress Movie"Get Behind Me" by Emerson DayYou can find us all here on our social accounts, Amanda FB, Amy FB, Tracee FB, Tracee IGOr shoot us an email at [email protected] We would love to hear from you! {Prayer request, topic ideas, just to say hi, anything at all}Also, you can find us all involved in the Rooted in His Word Ministry You can contact the Ministry to join us in small group settings! WAKE UP, Laodecia!
Who likes drinking lukewarm water? We spoke this week about The Church of Laodecia- and how we are so very similar to their mindset today. Or that was atleast part of the understanding we discovered. No matter where your study this week took you, I am certain we can all come away with the same main theme: YHWH wants our WHOLE heart, not half-cocked attempts- or boxes checked. So how will you move forward this week giving Him the full attention, worship, prayer, praise, love, etc that He wants from you? Are you ready and willing to walk into that season of conviction and change your heart posture? I know I am, and I pray you are too! Echos of Faith
Repentance. Trust. Action. When we come before YHWH in prayer—whether in repentance, in waiting, or in trust—we are acknowledging that He is in control. True prayer isn’t just about asking; it’s about humbling ourselves, surrendering to His will, and being willing to walk in obedience. When we pray for forgiveness, are we truly repenting, or just saying the words? When we ask for an answer, are we willing to wait in faith? When we seek His presence, are we dwelling in His protection or still trying to do it on our own? Yet again this week, that kind of puts a whole new spin on prayer, doesn’t it?! So let us all remember to come before YHWH with a heart of repentance, patience in waiting, and bold faith in action. He is always listening—but are we truly seeking? Sacred Conversations
When we pray- we are asking The Most High to entrust us with greater responsibility to glorify Him. Read that again...let it sink in. When we pray to YHWH, whether it be for healing, help with a situation, asking for conviction to deny our flesh, blessing a meal, or anything in between- we are asking Him to give us something that we can in turn use to glorify Him. When He heals you of that illness- youll be praising Him for answering your prayer, right? You have been tasked with sharing that testimony, with letting others see your witness of His power and love. That kind of puts a whole new spin on the importance of prayer doesn't it?! So let us all remember to pray boldly, asking our loving Father to aid us in this worldly flesh we battle daily, but let us not forget to be a good steward of those blessings! Guarding the Sabbath
You shall keep the Sabbath, because it is holy for you. Everyone who profanes it shall be put to death. Whoever does any work on it, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.-Exodus 31:14 Did you know that the word we have translated into English to be keep- more accurately means to guard. We are commanded to GUARD His Sabbath day. To protect it. To fight for it. To stop anything from "getting to" it... I want to be cautious about all that I say on this topic- just as I was cautious in the episode....I would never want anyone to feel judgement or condemnation coming from my words...but make no mistake about it, what you have been told about the Sabbath and its importance has been wrong. It has led you down a path that pulls you further from the Father you desperately want to be close to. So I will simply say, get into His Word and search it out for yourself. Spiritual Practices
We are busy working on our character when we employ spiritual practices. Regardless of where you were before- or even where you will be in the future- YHWH is always faithful, always present, and always waiting for you to open the door to let Him in. So do not be discouraged if you have "fallen off" with your spiritual practices, or maybe you have never even really done any with consistency, all you have to do is decide "Today is the day I open the door." And then keep opening that door. Keep inviting YHWH to come into your life and do something with the practices/disciplines you are employing. We gave you a monster sized list of practices we have/do employ- that does not mean you need to do all of them. Nor does it mean it is an exhaustive list- feel free to email us with any spiritual practices we might've missed or not thought of! Hard Learned Life Lessons
We were never promised an easy life- && this refining process is HARD We want to first and foremost, take a moment to apologize to each one of you who listen to our meager attempts to bring Glory to the Father. We disappeared without a word. You deserved more than that. We know that bucket of grace you all have for us has been there the whole time, but still we are very sorry to have let our distractions pull us away from you. As you will hear in this episode, we also allowed these distractions to pull as away from YHWH. We stopped opening the door and inviting Him in to our day-to-day. We also know that many, if not all, of you can relate. So, allow us to catch up with you and then join us on this journey of rekindling our faith by refocusing, refining our disciplines, and leaning into one another so we do not let it happen again. Haggai vs Distraction
"Haggai may be only 2 chapters- but man it packs a wallop" We learned this week just how easy it is to allow ourselves to be derailed from the task at hand. We got to witness the Israelites come home with a purpose, start that important work for YHWH, then fall to their own fleshly desires. We can't look too harshly at them though, can we? Aren't we all doing the exact same thing daily/weekly/monthly? I know I am. Lets remember our key takeaways this week- and work to apply these to our daily life: 1.) YHWH is looking for partners. He wants to change this world through us. He is not seeking 1/2 hearted lip service. 2.)His real work through us can begin ONLY after the Spirit has transformed our heart. 3.)Holiness cannot be passed onto something that is defiled, but the defiled can absolutely be passed on to Holiness. Jonah is a perfect example of how we struggle not to let our fear rule us, the importance of trusting YHWHs story, and the value of repentance. For such a small section of scripture, We learned this week just how powerful the story of Jonah can be. I then proceeded into the following weekend being Day of Atonement- which found me learning from Jonah all over again. I also got the joy and beauty of using his story to teach my children the value/importance of repentance on such an important Feast Day of YHWH. We hope that you saw the 3 main themes of Jonah as clearly as we believe Yah intended us all to see them, after listening to this episode. 1.)Fear has no place in our walk with YHWH 2.)Trusting YHWH to write His perfect story is ALL of our assignments 3.) Repentance is the key We are so looking forward to this season and series on The Prophets, and we hope you are too. Biblical Mothers Pt. 2
"Rebecca, Naomi, && Mary" While the mothers discussed this week have very well known names- they certainly felt their identity was tied up in their job as a mother. In their relationships. In the outcomes of their children's lives. Don't we all? It is part of the package-to be so immersed in the assignment we have been given that we lose a sense of who were are outside of it. It comes with the territory, and in today's society all we see are women fighting against that. Which makes us feel like we should fight against it too. *Naomi lost herself to bitterness, but continued her motherhood journey in Ruth. *Mary lost herself to the task of raising the Messiah and then having to watch Him die. *Rebecca lost herself to ensuring Jacob was ready to receive the blessing from Issac. We have hindsight to see how their actions were pivotal to YHWH's plan for their children...they certainly did not have that though. They were in the same position we are now as mothers. Just trying to do their best && likely struggling with the distractions of their world just as we are. Imagine for a moment we had hindsight into our own motherhood journey-at what/who our children would do/become. Wouldn't that give us such a wonderful peace with our assignment? We do not get that luxury...instead we have something far better.... We have assurance from the Most High Elohim that THIS right now...right here....is exactly what He made us for. So we need to lean in, trust, have faith, and learn when to let go. Lets put our best foot forward today, and when we stumble/fall again later on down the road- let's get back up, dust ourselves off, and get back to our most important work. Quiet time with Amanda…. Kinda
Life can throw us off course at times, and when that happens we just need rest. Tracee & Amy are taking the week off, so you get the very professional podcaster that I am to read a segment of the book, “Jesus, A scandalously devoted, conspicuously Uncool, super-transparent homage to who our Savior is and how much He loves us devotional” Hope you enjoy my incredible reading skills and my daughter’s interruptions. God Bless you all, have a great weekend and if its not the best, try to find the good in each day, no matter how small that moment was. Remember Faith Is A Verb!!! Xoxo

Biblical Mothers Pt 1
"Samson's Mother, Moshe's Mother, && Samuel's Mother" We are very excited to be starting this new series of studies! Looking forward to learning with all of you from the examples we have been given in scripture on how to fulfill this role that YHWH designed just for us: Motherhood. Whether you are feelings like an unnamed woman in your life currently ( like we have before) or not- I think it is safe to say that we all have struggled with finding fulfillment in our role at some point or another. It doesn't end at lacking fulfillment though, does it? More often than not we are filled with fear, we struggle with resentment, we lack patience/strength/endurance, we feel battered && bruised by our assignment, and worst of all...we feel alone. But we aren't ever really alone in this. That is just the lies && schemes of the enemy. Every mother out there has a whole entire country sized "container" of other mommas feeling the exact same way, or struggling with the exact same issue, or searching for their own tribe of biblically minded mommas to banned together with. Exactly how we saw with Samuel && Samson's mothers today. They both were tasked with the same mission. To raise their blessing of a son from the womb on in the Nazarite Vow. To help guide those future judges for Israel to the very best of their ability. Imagine if they would have had the support of one another! Don't even get me started on Moshe's momma....being forced to give up her son for his own safety. Losing a child is something You never recover from- even when you know that YHWH works all things out for good. Imagine the support she could have used. So let's find those momma's we desperately need to keep us supported through this journey of digging in to His word && raising these babies how He has asked us to. Link arms with them (or us) and push one another to be better every single day. While always remembering what Amanda said in today's episode “We are raising the future, we are raising those who have the potential for YHWH to use to change the world. We have to just be brave enough to tell them AHAV (ah-ha-va) place them in YHWH's hands and walk away” Lets put our best foot forward today, and when we stumble/fall again later on down the road- let's get back up, dust ourselves off, and get back to our most important work. P.31 Woman-ish
"A woman who fears YHWH is to be praised." Remember in the last episode- we spoke about what it means to Fear YHWH? Well todays episode boils down to the very same idea. As does most of Scripture. When we see a common theme such as this repeating itself over and over in His word- we better start paying attention! Maybe you have nailed being that Proverbs 31 woman, maybe you get it sometimes and others you just feel like you are failing, or maybe you see that list and immediately cringe "knowing" you can never measure up. No matter what stage of "Proverbs 31 Woman" you are currently in- at the end of the day make sure you are the woman who Fears YHWH. He has a path for you, He has equipped you to succeed on that path, and He will ALWAYS guide you to where He wants/needs you to be. You need only ask. You need only to fear Him and be in alignment with Him in order for Him to order your steps. So if you are struggle busing it like us right now- if you are seeing this list of amazing qualities and skills we should have/be using and just cannot even begin to wrap your head around it- if you are letting the enemy distract you && lie to you about who you are and what you are capable of.....Stop. Breathe. Pray. and go open His word. What does "Fear the Lord" Mean?
"Yirat Adonai" is a Hebraic term that cannot be properly translated into "Fear the Lord"- it has much more meaning. We hope that this episode spoke to you on a soul level. In the way that planning a tree into the earth does. Taking root, growing taller, and then producing fruit. Fearing our Elohim (God) has never been as archaic and basic as being fearful of Him. The fear of the Lord is our treasure. Having a holy fear that moves us toward Him- instead of an unholy fear that moves us away from Him. Fearing the Lord defines our entire relationship with YHWH. When we spend time in His word, when we praise/worship Him, when we heed His wisdom, when we obey His commands, when we spread His gospel, and when we speak His name- we are actively living in a state of fearing the Lord. Fruit of the Spirit: Self-Control
The action of having self-control allows all of the Fruits of the Spirit to bloom in our character. In true FIAV fashion, this weeks episode was H A R D to get done. We were all tested thoroughly in our ability to have self-control. We all stumbled. We all slipped up. We all fell. We all got back up. That is always going to happen in this fallen world. So do not be discouraged. Do not give up. DO not let the enemy win. The first step to having and practicing self-control in your life is to see it for what it truly is. The foundation. A high form of worship to the Father. The glue that holds our character together. Once we are aware of how important it is, we become more inclined to work on it. Once you have acknowledged that it is of utmost importance- you have to start practicing techniques to keep you on track. Watch your words, have a plan in place to capture your thoughts, get a support system in action, and be ready to confess && repent on a daily basis. That takes a strength of character that we are simply not naturally inclined to have- so the most important step is to lean in to prayer! "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." So ask Him to strengthen you. Ask Him to refine you. Ask Him to build your character how He sees fit. May we all have the Self-Control to follow His commands. May we all have the Self-Control to deny our flesh. May we all have the Self-Control to repent. May we all have the Self-Control to run this race! We are praying for you this week. Fruit of the Spirit: Gentleness
Someone who has grown the fruit of gentleness is of GREAT value to Elohim! Congratulations to Natasha for winning our SparrowsxWildflowers giveaway! We hope you are over the moon excited to go purchase yourself a custom bible or journal with your $50 off! This weeks episode seemed so hard to get out into the world- from stumbling over words, to distractions during our study/recording time- the enemy made it perfectly clear he did not want this one to be done. That tells us that YHWH has someone out there who needs to hear this one. If that person is you, please email us and let us know. We are praying this will be a blessing to you! It is also our prayer that each and every one of us will begin the very difficult work of dying to our flesh and living in the spirit- especially when it comes to gentle behavior. That w3e will all pray for strength to quiet the chaos- to speak softly- to live in the calm of His presence- even when life is really trying to show us we "cant'. We especially loved Amandas section about being gentle with ourselves. All 3 of us struggle with this aspect specifically- being riddled with guilt and shame on a daily basis. However, the Father never wanted that for any of us. SO we hope you can put on your "Jesus goggles", as she called it, and see yourself how YHWH does. SO that you can mirror the example Yeshua modeled for us. It is time to step into that refining fire The Most High has for us all- let the flesh burn away- and emerge the beautiful child of Yah we were always meant to be. Fruit of the Spirit: Faithfulness
Faithfulness is a quality YHWH will never miss, and we should forever chase. In this weeks episode, we unpack a LOT. We hope it was not overwhelming for you- incase it was...here is the main point... He wants us to choose Him. He wants us to follow Him. He wants us to receive His guidance and provision. He wants us to be justified, then move to sanctification, so that we may be glorified at the end of days. He wants me. He wants you. He wants every part of His creation, but He also wants us to CHOOSE it. Have you been struggling with that chose lately? Maybe you are not identifying it as that, but if you are struggling with your flesh- then you have a choice to make. Flesh or Spirit. World or Him. When we switch that lens in which we look at our actions to one of this simplicity- world or Him- it becomes much easier to see what you are actually choosing. Dig in friend. Get into His word. Be faithful to Him. Be faithful to the refining work He is doing in you. Go be sanctified- today, tomorrow, and everyday. Don't forget our giveaway! Fruit of the Spirit: Goodness
Goodness an internal quality that we develop through our relationship with YHWH! Goodness is a ministering love. It is a gentle rebuke, a push for repentance, a guide to get us back on His path. Remember that it is narrow and FEW will find it. I think I can speak for anyone listening to this weeks episode, that we all desperately want to be included in the few who not only find His narrow path, but STAY on His narrow path! To embody the Fruit of goodness, we must follow the example laud out before us from Yeshua. We must gently rebuke others from their lawlessness. We must also be a good example, showing that our faith {remember that it is a verb} keeps us digging for His truth. It keeps us seeking His. We know that when we seek we will find. Revelation 2:26 tells us "And he who overcomes, and guards My works until the end, to him I shall give authority over the nations." {this is a reference to Psalm 2:8} So if kindness is meeting real needs, in YHWHs way, in His timing, then Goodness is the benefit of an upright heart and life from meeting those needs. It is also a benefit to us in this life and our life to come when we reunite with YHWH. Every time, we obey His word, we bear the fruit of goodness. As Amanda reminded us today, His Living word is just that...living. It changes with us as we grow and mature. Offering us more and more understanding. When you read the story of the Good Samaritan today- in the light and understanding you now have- does it hit differently? Remember always- heart posture is the point. It is the root of it all. Do not ever let the enemy distract you from remembering that. Do all you do in service of the Father. Strive always to be someone who walks like Yeshua. Keep your heart on His ways. Enjoy this artwork from Amanda! Fruit of the Spirit : Kindness
Showing kindness to another is never JUST showing them kindness, it is ALWAYS also showing YHWH kindness. It is incredibly easy to be kind to a friend who is kind to you, right? No one really struggles with that. When everything is sunshine and rainbows we do not struggle to offer a kind word or gesture to those we love. But being called to build your character in the way of kindness doe not just mean kindness to those you love and only when it's easy. It's a call to be kind when you are struggling. When life is beating you up. When you are facing an "enemy". When someone has been unkind to you. That is the true test of a child of YHWH's character. That is what He wants to refine in us. He provided us with the perfect example to follow, Yeshua. Yeshua was not weak. So kindness is not weakness. Yeshua did not give in to evil. So kindness is not giving in to evil. Yeshua spoke, acted, and carried an attitude of kindness. So that is what we are called to do as well. Yeshua, and kindness, do not have to beat down another in order to stand tall. Its hard work, but isn't every worthy character trait hard? Remember that often time the easiest way we can show kindness , especially when facing an enemy, is simply to say/do nothing. "If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all." We pray, again this week, that this episode will be a blessing to you. That it will help you in the refining process. That you can continue on His path being sanctified daily to develop into the person He created you to be. Enjoy this artwork from Amanda! Fruit of the Spirit: Patience
Patience is the foundational character trait of a believer, all others are built upon it. Patience is quite possibly the most sought after character trait, especially if you are a mother. It is also one of the hardest to achieve with any sort of consistency. Often, you will find yourself patient in one avenue of your life while being wildly impatient in multiple others. But it is also one of the most important fruits of the Spirit. Patience is the one that every other fruit can grow from. If you have patience, you have love. If you have patience, you have kindness. If you have patience, you have self- control. On and on and on. How do we GET patience thought? Specifically when it comes to the big moments in our life? As we discussed in this weeks episode, we can find patience when we can put away our pride. That pesky pride that keeps us at arms length from YHWH. It disrupts all of our relationships. It complicates every function in our life, so why would it not also block us from patience? So let's switch our perspective and stop desperately seeking patience before we have worked on building our humility. Humble yourself before the Father, operate from humility in every arena of your life, teach your children to be humble enough to know that they are not in control of their life- YHWH is. Let's rid ourselves of the pride that threatens to strangle us, so that we can be open and accepting of the patience that Yahweh wants to bless us with. Pray for strength. Pray for Him to guide you. Pray for Him to refine you into exactly who He needs you to be. Fruit of the Spirit: Peace
"Esteem to Elohim in the highest, and on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased!" As we discussed in this week's episode- knowing that peace from YHWH exists, knowing that we can have it, is only the 1st step. We must do what is necessary to HAVE that peace. We looked at so many scriptures this week that all reminded us that adhering to His Way is HOW we get that peace. Peace to those with whom He is pleased! As a listener here we already know that you desire to have the Most High be pleased with you. You have the desire to walk in His ways. You have the desire to love him wholeheartedly. You have the desire to have a deep and meaningful relationship with Him. You are here because, like us, you need the accountability. The inspiration. The encouragement. The reminder. SO let this weeks episode be just that for you. Let it inspire you to dig deeper. Let it encourage you to keep going. Let it remind you that His Word, His Truth is right in front of your face....you just have to open it and dig in. How lucky are we that we do NOT have to guess what He wants from us. We do Not have to guess how Yeshua walked && what He behaved like. It is right there! WE pray that this episode stirs something inside of you. That it may be an instrument used by YHWH to guide you further into His word and help you to find His narrow path. May you remember Who He is. Scriptures from today: Luke 2:14 Isaiah 57:11-21 Psalm 119 ( the whole thing!) John 14:27 Isaiah 43:2 Phillipians 2:2-11 1Peter 3:8-12 Micah 5:5 Isaiah 52:7 Proverbs 15:33 Proverbs 18:12 It is with humble hearts that we ask you to join us this week in prayer. Fruit of the Spirit: Joy
"Do not be sad, for the joy of YHWH is your strength." As we learned today- YHWH WANTS us to have the joy that can only come from Him....He wants to rejoice himself because of our whole hearted obedience to His will for us. In the world we live in, the fallen no-good always chaotic world we have to endure for this time...feeling true joy is literally only possible through Him. We know this to be true- but often times we struggle to remember HOW we can get that joy. We hope that this episode helps you to have better understanding of how- helps you to know that obedience to His will and His way is the key- going along hand-in-hand with the grace we receive from Yeshua. Let them be intertwined in your life. Let them be the path you walk each and every day so that you can find the joy He has just waiting for you right around that bend. Some Mic drop moments from todays episode: Let Yeshua’s salvation nourish us as we bear the fruit of the spirit that he so graciously gave us. and Let us follow in Yeshua's footsteps. Yeshua found joy, joy from His Father. Yeshua found joy healing the sick, He found joy in telling parables, He found joy in guiding others to know Yahweh, He found joy being with His disciples on that last supper, He found joy caring that wooden cross, knowing He did what He was supposed to do, He found joy being nailed to that cross, because He knew He would finally after all the hardships get to be with His Father. Fruit of the Spirit: Love
"On these two commands hang all the Torah and the Prophets" Loving YHWH and our neighbor seems like a no brainer. But actually understanding what that love is supposed to be- not so much. Nor is it easy to STAY in that Spirit of Love all day everyday. In fact it is impossible. In our study this week we all three spent time discovering very different scriptures in His word that teach us more about what kind of love we need to demonstrate, how to love YHWH the way He wants to be loved, what loving our neighbor looks like, and how to actively live as if love is a verb. Our 3 favorite scriptures covering this topic are Matthew 22:36-40, 1 Peter 4:8, and Exodus 17:8-13. Which one was your favorite? It is our prayer that this episode reached you on a level you have not considered before, and that you now have a better idea for how to not only walk this out yourself, but how to help your children do the same. Imagine a world in which all parents were allowing the Holy Spirit to take root in their heart and guide them along the path Yeshua has shown us leads right to YHWH. Imagine those parents raised their children to do the same. Think about the world we would have! Fortunately for us believers, we will get to experience that world. The new heaven and the new earth where we can know that every single person will be loving YHWH and loving their neighbor they way He commanded! Brings a tear to my eye to even think about it! Until that day, we will continue to pray that we are filled with the Ruach Hacodesh {Holy Spirit} in a way that fills us with a conviction we can not deny. Guiding us to love how we were created to love. Living in the Spirit and not the flesh.
"And after this it shall be that I pour out My Spirit on all flesh" As children of YHWH we know already that true fruitfulness comes from the outpouring of the Ruach Hacodesh {Holy Spirit}. We also know the characteristics of the fruit. Like we said, everyyyyyyone has a study available on the Fruit of the Spirit. We hope that this one will be different. That there will be some fresh take on something that you have likely already studied- and if you have not YAY, glad we could be here for this! What a gift we have been given! Yeshua {Jesus} not only died for our salvation- and what a gift THAT is- but He also sent us a helper. He gave us the beautiful gift of the Ruach Hacodesh {Holy Spirit} to fill us with conviction after conviction. Fulfilling prophecy in the Old Testament yet again. I know that doesn't sound like the most fun thing you have ever experienced, but it is SO worth it. Welcome that conviction with open arms. Let His helper work in you to refine you! We hope this journey will be a blessing to all of us involved. That we can gain some new understanding, that we can apply it to our day-to-day lives, and that we can then go forward guiding our children in His Spirit. Reminder: Keep YHWH as the focus!
We all need a daily reminder to keep Him as the focus. {more like 75 times a day} Praying the Shema {Deuteronomy 6:4-9} is a excellent way to give yourself that reminder. It covers all of the bases, it is simple, it is to the point, and most importantly it is a command from The Most High. When we keep the Father as our focus- we are strengthened in fighting our flesh- in rebuking the enemy- in saying no to sin. When we keep the Father as our focus- we are loving Him the way He deserves to be loved, and teaching our friends/family how to do that too. When we are keeping the Father as our focus- we are truly on His narrow path and living this life the way He designed us too. You can't beat that. While this season may be coming to an end- we are far from done. We are on fire for the Father and His word and we hope that you are as well. We will see you every day in our Daily Cup of Faith Juice! Check out this artwork from Amanda! Ruth {Part2}
The more questions arise- the more we can dig to find. Sometimes when we set out to study His word- we are left with even more questions. Sometimes those questions will be story changing questions, and sometimes they will be tiny details that we just feel the need to search out. No matter the size, take heart in knowing that questions will lead to seeking- and He always wants us seeking out His wisdom and truth. What questions did the book of Ruth leave you with? were the the same as ours? Were you able to seek out the answers? Ruth
Another amazing example of a servants heart. Studying this incredibly rich book of His scriptures will be a blessing to us here at Faith is a Verb. We pray that it will be the same for you. The most important thing that we have taken from these first two chapters of Ruth: Obedience && trust in the Father go hand in hand and are not forgotten. It is so hard to trust in His provision when the world seems to be crumbling around us, but He is above all and we MUST remember that. Equally as important is our heart during the inevitable times of immense struggle. How will we treat others? How will we stay focused on righteous behavior? How will we continue to shine the light of The Father when we are so deep in the well? Ruth shows us how. Let us all be like Ruth. Enjoy this digital design from Amanda <3 Here you go! Conviction
The biblical concept of a Holy Conscience. YHWH did say He made us in His image right? He also said that He would write His torah (instruction) on our heart. So it just makes sense that we would feel this inner voice guiding us. It is explained even easier when you know that Yeshua sent us a helper- the Holy Spirit- to guide us on His path. So now that we know we have it- and we know that it speaks to us- we have to listen! That's much easier said than done though isn't it? That still small voice of the Holy Spirit nudging us to walk in YHWHs right rulings can be the most difficult thing for us to listen to. It will make us deny our flesh and do things we never thought we'd do. While you may struggle- just like we do- to listen to every nudge that you get from the Holy Spirit, we pray that you will always understand the necessity behind continuing to try. The blessings of YHWH lie right behind an answered conviction placed right on our heart. Enjoy this digital design from Amanda <3 Here you go!
