Karma comes for everyone this week, and apparently she has access to bullets, tanning beds, dump trucks, and one extremely motivated tiger. On 9-1-1, 1x08 "Karma's a Bitch," the universe is balancing its books — sometimes with satisfying absurdity, and sometimes with emotional devastation.This episode we break down:🌳 A bullet lodged in a tree, some deeply questionable DIY arborism, and perhaps the most elaborate “fuck around and find out” senario in Season 1.🐅 A terrible dentist, a very good tiger, and the rare emergency where absolutely everyone is rooting for the large carnivore. Sometimes it just serves you custody papers. The full moon is out over Los Angeles, which apparently means everyone is legally permitted to lose their goddamn minds because what is happening here. 1x07 “Full Moon (Creepy AF)” gives us synchronized yoga labor, a face-eating maybe-zombie, a deeply enthusiastic tapeworm extraction, and Henrietta Wilson making a choice so bad we would personally like to revoke her full moon privileges.This episode we break down:🌕 Buck Buckley, noted scientist, explaining that the full moon makes gravity heavier because he read it on the internet and being absolutely delighted when the night keeps proving him right (kinda).👶 Prenatal yoga descends into complete chaos as babies start arriving like somebody hit the emergency childbirth button, while Bobby unsuccessfully attempts to maintain control of literally anything.☎️ Abby listens helplessly as a woman is murdered, refuses to accept the easy answer, and proceeds to out-detect an actual homicide detective.🪱 Buck pulls a tapeworm out of a man’s ass with the delighted concentration of a child opening a Christmas present, giving us one of the clearest examples of why you simply cannot skip Season 1.This episode is gross, horny, creepy, genuinely upsetting at times, and extremely funny. Love is in the air in Los Angeles, which naturally means fake plane crashes, emergency tracheotomies, a man superglued back together (yeah, we know), and possibly the most cursed welcome-back cake in workplace history. 1x06 “Heartbreaker” is where 9-1-1 really starts feeling like 9-1-1: wildly sincere, deeply ridiculous, and absolutely determined to turn every possible expression of love into somebody’s emergency.This episode we break down:✈️ A proposal so catastrophically ill-conceived it literally gives someone broken heart syndrome. Friends, if your beloved fakes an aviation emergency before proposing, run.🎂 Chimney returns to the 118, receives a horrifyingly accurate rebar-through-the-head cake, and gets called the heart of the firehouse even though we’ve barely gotten to know him yet. This show talks about found family all the time. Let us actually see the family.Emergency lightning round — influencer immersive experience gone wrong, wellness retreat horrors, science fair explosions, cruise ship dock chaos, revisiting elevator trauma with consequences, and a CPR training cold open where everyone roasts each other’s compression technique. Because silly emergencies are fun.And, because we are us, we also discuss crop tops (obviously), drag brunch, Christopher needing an actual storyline, May and Ravi's developing romance, Maddie and Chimney in their leadership roles, Eddie Diaz as a queer-coded man written so loudly we are all begging the show to notice, and why Season 10 desperately needs one thing above all else: Intentionality.Show us the storyboard. Show us the wall. Know where these characters are going when you start writing. Let big things mean something. Let the emotional arcs actually arc. We are paying adult money to watch this show. In Teen Wolf 3×23, “Insatiable,” the pack is technically moving forward, but everything that matters is coming undone.There are two Stiles and only one real one, and while our Stiles survives the oni test, the relief barely has time to land. Void Stiles still has Lydia, our Stiles remembers everything the Nogitsune did while wearing his body, and it’s becoming clear this possession has caused real, irreversible damage. Whatever is happening to Stiles isn’t just supernatural — it’s killing him. Not great news.Lydia is taken to Oak Creek, trapped in echoes of past violence and repurposed as a supernatural alarm system. If the pack gets close, she’ll feel it — and the Nogitsune will know. It’s cruel, efficient, and exactly the kind of psychological torment Beacon Hills specializes in.Back in town, Meredith Walker escapes Eichen House and reveals she can hear death before it happens, which is both incredibly useful and deeply bad news. In 3×11, "Alpha Pact," our characters must make some incredibly difficult choices to secure the safety of the ones they love. Scott is working with Deucalion to find his mother who has been kidnapped by Jennifer as a Guardian sacrifice, officially siding with the villain.
