    The Village Effect Part 2

On today's show, we discuss The Village Effect Part 2 with Michelle Campuzano. Helping people is important, but lasting change requires more than providing support—it requires empowering people to recognize their strengths, use their voices, and contribute to their communities. When individuals and communities are equipped to identify needs, address gaps, and develop solutions together, we move from creating dependency to building capacity. Sustainable change happens when we stop asking only, “How can we help?” and begin asking, “How can we create the conditions for everyone to participate, contribute, and thrive?” Guest Speaker Information: Michelle Campuzano Anod Care Services CEO Phone: 602-299-9348 https://fathermatters.org/

On Friday, January 1, 2027, Prison 2 Praise Ministries will begin RISE: Walk Across America, a national journey from California toward the 9/11 Memorial in New York. This walk exists to honor survivors of crime, stand with children of incarcerated parents, and bring attention to the ripple effects of harm that reach families, communities, correctional staff, law enforcement, first responders, and people across the country. RISE: Walk Across America is more than a walk. It is a public act of remembrance, accountability, restoration, and hope. RelationTrips

On today's show, we discuss RelationTrips with Jeff Siegel. The relationship between a father and his son is one of the most influential bonds in a child's life. A positive, engaged father provides more than financial support—he offers guidance, encouragement, protection, and a living example of integrity, responsibility, and resilience. Boys who have strong relationships with their fathers are more likely to develop confidence, make healthier choices, perform better in school, and build positive relationships with others. A father's presence helps teach important life skills such as accountability, respect, self-discipline, and perseverance. Through everyday conversations, shared activities, and simply being present, fathers help shape the character and future of their sons. Supervised visitations

On today's show, we discuss Supervised visitations with Christina Tarpley. Supervised visitation plays a vital role in protecting children while preserving the parent-child relationship during difficult family transitions. When a court orders supervised visits, the goal is not to punish a parent—it's to create a safe, structured environment where children can maintain meaningful contact with both parents whenever possible. Supervised visitation provides a neutral setting where trained professionals oversee interactions to ensure the child's physical and emotional well-being. These visits can be especially important in cases involving domestic violence, substance abuse, mental health concerns, or when a parent and child are rebuilding trust after a long separation. Legally Ending Love

On today's show, we discuss Legally Ending Love with Wendy Hernandez. I've been a family law attorney since 1999. In 27 years devoted to family law, I've represented thousands of clients through some of the most difficult moments of their lives. I've seen firsthand what happens when people walk into the divorce process without understanding how it works. They get overwhelmed. They make costly mistakes. They give up ground they didn't have to give up. Legally Ending Love is my answer to that. It's the book I wish every client had before they called me. It won't replace an attorney when you need one, but it will make sure you know your rights, understand the process, and never feel like the least-informed person in the room. Child Support Modifications

On today's show, we discuss Command the Courtroom with Wendy Hernandez. Life changes, and sometimes child support orders need to change too. In Arizona, either parent can request a child support modification when there has been a substantial and continuing change in circumstances. This may include a job loss, a significant increase or decrease in income, changes in parenting time, healthcare costs, childcare expenses, or the needs of the child. If you're unsure whether you qualify for a modification, speaking with a family law attorney or contacting a local legal aid organization can help you understand your options. Taking action early can help ensure your child support order is fair and reflects your current circumstances. Working with DCS to Get Your Child Back

On today's show, we discuss Working with DCS to Get Your Child Back. A live recording from our Fifth Annual Court & Custody Conference with Janet Bell and Casey Melsek from Department of Child Safety. Sadly, it's not uncommon for children to be removed from their homes. If it happens to you, do you know what to do to protect your rights as a parent, to keep your children safe while they're away from you and how to get them back home? Law enforcement and protective services typically act on reports of abuse or child endangerment. The reports may come from a parent, neighbor, teacher or a complete stranger. If the police respond to the home after being called there, like on a domestic violence incident, they may remove the children if they notice mistreatment or neglect. The Affects of Drinking and Driving

On today's show, we discuss The Affects of Drinking and Driving with Jessica Robinson. This year may go down as one of the worst years for drunk-driving deaths. On average, 28 people a day have been killed in DUI accidents. Jessica Robinson knows the pain a drunk driver can cause because she was one. She said around 1:00am I got in my car and headed home. I had been awake for almost 18 hours and was definitely feeling it. Only minutes from reaching home my eyes started to get heavy and for an instant I closed them, taking my eyes off of the road. When I opened them I was approaching a truck right in front of me, I tried to steer around it but it was too late. Glass breaking, tires screeching, my voice screaming, then silence…Is this a bad dream? It wasn’t... I was there, hanging upside down in my seat, the car had rolled. The Role of Fathers

On today's show, we discuss The Role of Fathers with Vance Simms. Fathers play an important role in a child's development from birth through adulthood. In fact, numerous studies have reached the same conclusion: Children with involved fathers have an advantage -- socially and academically -- over children with distant or no relationships with their dads. "We found that fathers who are involved with their children have children with fewer problems," says Maureen Black, PhD, a researcher and professor of pediatrics at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. "That added involvement from a father helps children tremendously." Specifically, her research found better language skills and fewer behavioral problems in children with an actively involved father. Interestingly, this result holds true even if the father doesn't live in the same home as the child -- for example, in divorce situations. It appears that how involved the dad is -- not where he lives in relation to the child -- is the crucial factor. Guest Speaker Information: Father Matters INC. Let's Talk About Child Support

On today's show, we talk about child support with Favio Verdugo of Division of Child Support Services. The idea behind child support is that the children of divorced or separated parents should live as comfortably as they would have if their parents had stayed together. Most states calculate child support by adding together both parents’ incomes, then setting aside a percentage of the total for their children’s needs. The law surrounding the spending of child support can be complicated. Plus, the facts of each case are unique. This interview provides a brief, general introduction to the topic. When Should Kids Start Brushing?

On today's show we discuss When Should Kids Start Brushing? with Kazandra Barrios. Many parents have a tough time judging how much dental care their kids need. They know they want to prevent cavities, but they don't always know the best way to do so.Even babies can develop tooth decay if good feeding habits aren't practiced. Putting a baby to sleep with a bottle might be convenient, but can harm the baby's teeth. When the sugars from juice or milk remain on a baby's teeth for hours, they can eat away at the enamel, creating a condition known as bottle mouth. Holiday Job Searching

On today's show, we discuss Holiday Job Searching with Lindsey Kelly. Are you about to start a job search or are you in the midst of looking for a new job? Are you thinking about waiting to start or putting your job search on hold? If so, think again. Contrary to popular opinion, this is a good time of year to find a job. Employers don't stop hiring just because it's the holidays. In addition, the holiday season is a perfect time of year to network your way to a new job. It can be easier to say "I'm not going to bother, it's a bad time of year for job hunting." than it is to move forward with a job search. However, for those who do keep plugging away, the additional opportunities are worth the effort.
