If people are justified by faith alone, then what is the purpose of God's law?

The Apostle Paul declares the gospel to the church at Rome. If God is rightfully wrathful and angry with the wicked every day (Psalm 7:11), then how can He pardon the wicked and let them walk free?

The risen Christ ascends to the Father's right hand and pours out the gift of His Holy Spirit to empower the church to advance His kingdom to the ends of the earth.

The eternal Word, God the Son, becomes flesh. Jesus came to save sinners, and to cast out Satan, the ruler of this world.

Luke tells about a Christ who is the perfect Son of Man and Son of God, who came to preach good news to the poor.

Mark presents the gospel of Jesus Christ, the powerful Son of God, and the suffering servant. Christ is far more powerful than any other being in all creation, and He has absolute authority. And yet His glory is not merely in His strength but in His willingness to use that strength to serve those too weak to save themselves.
