Jesus told us to watch out for false prophets.  How can we recognize one?  Should we be on guard against false teachers in the same way?  A very practical message for our time is our passage this morning.  Join us!

There is lots of “theological noise” in the world regarding salvation and what is involved.  Does God do it for us, or are we responsible for part of our salvation?  I'm sharing national statistics this morning regarding salvation and what people think.  Most importantly, we'll be looking closely at what Jesus said: There are ONLY two gates/two roads/two very destinations and two groups of people; one of which leads to life and other to destruction.  Which road are you on?  How can you be sure you're on the right road with God?  Join us and find out what Jesus said.

“Don't judge me!”  Most likely we've all heard it; or heard about it.  It's an oxymoron because the one saying that is also judging.  Jesus told us not to judge one another, but what did he mean?  Are there good judgments to be made and ones we must avoid?  Yes.  Join us!

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is central to any Christian worship service.  This year, April 5th is an especially focused celebration where we gather to praise the Lord for the forgiveness of our sins and our future resurrection to eternal life through what Jesus Christ accomplished for all who believe in him.  Is there evidence Jesus rose?  Is there real hope for all who believe in Christ will be raised to eternal life also?  What is our role in this?  Join us as we worship the Lord together.  He is risen!

Palm Sunday is celebrated worldwide the week before the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  What does it all mean?  Is it related somehow to the return of Christ someday?  Yes.  Join us as we celebrate the triumph of Christ Jesus.

Worry is common to everyone, but Jesus told us not to worry about our life.  Is he talking about food, water and clothing worries or our very survival?  Join us!

Everyone serves something or someone and not just themselves whether we they know it or not.  Question is, do we know who or what we are truly serving with our lives and passions?  The real answer may not be as straight forward as we'd like to think or imagine.  Join us and find out together as Jesus leads us closer in our daily walk (life) with Him.

Daily bread.  Forgiveness.  Spiritual warfare amidst trials and temptations.  Jesus taught us how to pray about these three which encompass our very lives on a daily basis.  How do we deal with anxiety and worry and glorify God?  Join us!

Jesus said: “This is how you should pray….”  How is your prayer life?  Stagnant?  Ritualistic?  Barely there?  Feel the need for revival and an intimate prayer life with God that really makes a difference?  Jesus told us how.  Join us as we grow in wisdom and in our conversations with God.

Who gets the glory for what we individually do in our lifetime?  Ourselves or God?  Jesus tells us to “Be careful” about the true answer and gives us three examples we can ponder and apply in our personal lives today.  Join us!

Abba, “Daddy” is an intimate, family relational word describing the relationship we have with God the Father through Jesus Christ.  To be a son or daughter of Abba means we will seek to be like him.  God is love.  What does that mean for us today?  How is our neighbor?  Are we loving like our Father in heaven loves the world?  Join us!

How good do I have to be when someone insults me or treats me badly?  Jesus doesn't provide suggests; he gives us straight forward imperatives to follow.   What are they and how can we apply and deal with evil that impacts our personal lives?  Join us!

Honesty, Truth and Integrity describe God perfectly, and every believer in the Son of God, our Lord Jesus Christ, should seek to be the same.  Are we?  What the consequences of dishonesty, lies and fractured people? Is it OK to make promises (oaths)?  Are there loopholes?  Does God expect some promises should be broken or can be broken?  Join us as we grow in Christ together!

Offerings, tithing, giving, financial stuff - awkward!  Not really when we realize giving is being like God who is a gracious giver of all good gifts.  Everything was created by Christ for Christ (Colossians 1:16), so giving is an act of reverent worship.  We cannot mature as Christ's disciples if we don't.  How much?  How often?  You might be surprised by the answers in Scripture.  Join us!

How can we grow and mature as disciples of Jesus Christ?  We do it together in love.  The message today will focus on the “one another” passages in the New Testament and they give us the means to reflect on what love is and what loves does in the making of a disciple.  How are you doing?  How are we doing together?  Join us!

The body of Christ.  If we're a believer in Christ, saved by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ, then we are not alone.  We are united.  We are one together in Christ for worship and service and life in his name.  God works it in and we work it out together.  Join us and find out more what it means to be together in Christ Jesus.  Blessings!

Sometimes the New Testament makes a seemingly vague reference to something we're supposed to recognize from the Old Testament.  John 1:51 is one of those moments.  Who is Jesus?  How does anyone get to heaven?  Are we prepared to live for Christ and share the gospel with the world even though we're in the minority?  Join us!

Everyone has genealogical roots going back to Adam and Eve.  Jesus too has human roots like we do, but he is also Emmanuel - God with us.  There are two differently styled genealogies of Jesus in Matthew and Luke's gospels.  Why?  Is there something in the past that tells us what lies ahead and impacts our lives today in Christ?  Join us!

To be a disciple of Jesus Christ is a huge honor.  Who can be a disciple?  What does it mean to be a fully devoted follower of Jesus?  How much like Christ should a disciple seek to be and do?  The answers make a real difference in your life now and forever!  Join us!

In Matthew's gospel when Joseph found out Mary was pregnant he assumed there had been adultery going on and he decided to divorce her.  Marriage matters.  America has the world's 6th highest rate of divorce.  What does the Bible tell us about adultery and divorce?  Whether your married or not, everyone Christian should know this because we speak into other peoples' lives routinely.  Interestingly, being the first Sunday in Advent, Joseph and Mary's experience matches our topic this morning very well from the sermon on the mount.

Lots of people like a murder mystery, but when we don't know the mystery after reading the book we can't be satisfied.  Jesus likens anger, a word ("raca") that has no 1:1 translation in English and calling someone a fool is murderous.  What did he mean?  Who is a murderer?  Why are words and attitudes so deadly serious?  Join us as we find out what it all means for us today.

There are many, many “influencers” in social media since about ⅔ of the world are online.  Jesus told us we are the salt and the light of the world.  That is not something we achieve, it's who we are in Christ.  So how influential are salt and light - how influential are we actually?  Join us!

Nobody likes to be persecuted.  However, Christians are the #1 persecuted group in the world today.  Yet, Jesus said we're to rejoice and be glad.  Is persecution for following Christ in my life inevitable?  How can I deal with it?  Where does the joy and gladness come from so I can honor Christ with my life?  Come together with us as we aim to be fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.  The reward is great!

The message today explores Jesus’ declaration in John 8:12, “I am the light of the world,” and its transformative impact on our lives.

The Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20)

Making peace can be difficult, and sometimes seeking to make peace even creates more or different conflicts.  How does this all work?  What is the peacemaker to do, or not to do?  What does it mean to be a peacemaker?  One thing for sure, our world NEEDS peacemakers.  Join us!

What's in your heart?  Is it pure?  Can it be pure?  These are important questions because Jesus said if a person has a pure heart, they will see God.  The opposite would mean a person without a pure heart will not see God.  Let's get to the heart of the matter together!

God's mercy and grace are two sides of the same coin, without which no one could be forgiven by God and saved by God to eternal life.  What's the difference between them?  How do they impact my faith and life?  Do I have to be merciful in order to receive God's mercy, or not?  Join us as we celebrate God's truth together.

Jesus said every believer's hunger and thirst for righteousness will be satisfied by the Lord.  What is righteousness?  When will that be?  Should we do anything about it now?  Join us as we discern what Jesus said and meant for us to be and to do.

Blessed are the meek.  What does that mean?  Meekness today is not a positive virtue in people's minds.  What did Jesus have in mind when he said it?  Join us for insights and a positive response to Christ as we look forward to the inheritance to come!

Mourning and rejoicing; how do both fit together at the same time in our lives?  How emotional should we be knowing we're sinners who have been forgiven by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ?  Is mourning our sin actually helpful for evangelism and our spiritual growth?  Join us!

We'll be introducing the Jesus' sermon on the mount this Sunday morning with special focus on the critical meaning of the first beatitude in v. 3.  What does it mean to be “poor in spirit” and therefore “blessed” by the Lord?  Is it a one time recognition for salvation or a lifetime of faith in Christ?  Join us!

Jesus called his disciples not to follow a religion, a principle, or ideology but to follow HIM.  It was personal and relational.  Nothing has changed since then.  What does it mean to be called by Jesus?  How does it remain personal and not become ritual or habit?  Join us!

Advancement is usually what we associate with pay scales and job titles; however, in Matthew's gospel the advancement that most vital is impact the great light of Jesus has in the midst of spiritual darkness and death.  How did Jesus advance the gospel?  How do we today?  Join us!

Everyone is tempted to doubt God's care and guidance from time to time.  Satan is the source and he is an opportunist hitting us when we're at our weakest. How can we overcome temptations?  How can we resist the tempter?  Jesus was tempted but he was successful.  He is our Overcomer and we benefit from his victory over Satan.  How can we resist temptations?  Lets find out together what Jesus did and taught us!  Join us this morning.

Finding fulfillment is something perhaps our minds personalize, but biblically speaking in the context of Mt. 3 fulfillment is a much broader topic and blessing.  How to find fulfillment in life?  Join us and find out together!

Repentance isn't just for a moment, but encompasses every aspect of your being for a lifetime.  What does that mean?  What does that look like?  Why is it necessary?  Join us as John the Baptist calls us all to hear and respond to Christ: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near!”

Living for the Lord is certainly an adventure if we're willing to follow and obey everything Jesus taught us.  When we do obey the Lord, our faith in the Lord will grow as well.  God is at work!  Sometimes it's clear what God wants us to do, and sometimes God leaves that up to our discernment.  In either case, putting God's will and plans first and foremost is key as Joseph's life and actions teach us.  With that come both blessings and sufferings for Christ's sake as well.  Come glorify the Lord with us!

The star, the Magi, King Herod the Great and of course Jesus is a Christmas favorite preached quite often in December around the world.  How the meaning of the passage for us in June, 2025?  Why is there such tremendous joy among the Magi when they worshiped Jesus?  What level of joy exists in your heart when you worship Jesus?  Join us!

What's in a name?  We know nicknames inherently mean something, but given names in our culture usually don't get our attention.  In Scripture, given names often have meaning and importance we're supposed to notice.  Jesus, Christ and Immanuel are all listed and are important in Matthew's gospel and our lives today.  Join us as we explore and enjoy the naming for the glory of God to shine in our lives.

Pentecost Sunday is this morning, and just as the Holy Spirit calls our attention and desire to Jesus Christ, so we begin a new biblical series with the gospel of Matthew.  Join us and discover the meaning and relevance of Jesus' genealogy for us today!

Perhaps the most significant theme that runs throughout Daniel is “God is in control!”  Chaos, circumstances, feelings, wars, consternations not withstanding, God knows what is to come and is in fact directing history to the return of Jesus Christ and the end of all evil and the beginning of real life in all its fullness with Jesus.  Daniel 11 will be briefly explained and our focus this morning will be on Daniel 12's great promise that salvation and judgment are coming just as God intends at the proper time.  Join us!  Grow with us!
