"Kaboom: Express or Explode" is our new 3-week series where Joel guides us through the "grown up" version of the message our K-5 students will hear at our upcoming Kids Camp in June. In this series, we start by dispelling myths on emotions, signs of being emotionally mature, and how Jesus expressed his emotions in his time on this Earth.

This Sunday consisted of two parts as John begins talking about discipleship, families, and the local church leading into a panel as Carmen spoke with our Kids Director (Dan) and Students Director (Abbey) as they outlined that path of ministry and the plan we have for children at Five14!

To kick off this 3-week series leading up to Christmas, John begins "The Story" discussing things like the parallels between Adam + Eve and Mary + Joseph as well as what could happen through us in one moment of obedience to God.

Joel takes us through the final chapter of 1 Timothy and our 13-part series where Paul discusses seeking Godliness, contentment, and more.

In the penultimate week of our series "Dear Timothy", Joel reaches Chapter 5 of 1 Timothy where he discusses taking care of your family and much more.

After a Sunday of baptizing 30 people in the church, we return to our Dear Timothy series where Joel breaks down Chapter 3 of 1 Timothy with the emphasis on leadership.

In Week 9 of our dissection of 1 Timothy, we continue through Chapter 2 which addresses the women of the church especially and, as always, gets deep into the context of the meaning behind the words we're reading.

In Week 8 of 14 of our deep-dive into 1 Timothy, Joel guides us through the context and interpretation of Chapter 2 as it continues to discuss women's and men's roles within the church.

We reach the halfway point on our series through the whole book of 1 Timothy as Joel gets even further into intercessory prayer and Chapter 2.

In our fifth week of "Dear Timothy," we continue to navigate through Chapter 1 and discuss righteousness and unrighteousness along with Paul's message specifically towards those trying to teach in the church in Ephesus at the time.

Week 4 of our 14-week series of 1 Timothy gets more into Paul's challenges to Timothy specifically regarding meaningless talk and the 3 prerequisites for teaching: pure heart, good conscience, and sincere faith.

We get into Week 3 of our 14-week series of 1 Timothy with more background into Paul's calling, his leadership, the urging of Timothy to stay and strongly guide the church, and more.

After last week's briefing on 1 Timothy, Joel begins to dive into Chapter 1, the purpose behind Paul's letter to Timothy, and getting into what the Gospel is and the church's role in proclaiming that.

Join us in our newest series - Dear Timothy - as Joel begins to take us through a 14-week series on the book of 1 Timothy. He puts some handles on how we'll be going through this book, its background, and Timothy's faithfulness.

On "Partner Sunday" we get to hear from a couple of our church partners - The Freedom Collective and One17 International - about their mission, their need, and how we can partner with them in a time of need.

As we begin to close the door on a summer of highlighting camps, we hear from John about biblical patterns that can help us flourish. He emphasizes the Sunday gathering, about coming together with each other and with God, and then going out in mission (tying it all into Eden and Genesis.)

On this Sunday, John walks us through how we respond to our sin (rather than God's response) and breaks down our options. He also shows a much easier way to do this than we're tricked into believing - and that it's not the long road back we get told - by simply adjusting our posture and turning back to Him into his loving embrace.

In the final week of "Vistas and Valleys" - biblical teachings on the highs and lows of life, we hear from Joel about joy, being fully known and loved, how God turns graves into gardens, and more.

Dive in with us as Joel takes us into a new 3-week series, Vistas and Valleys, honing in on biblical teachings on the highs and lows of life - especially potent with our middle and high school students freshly coming off a week-long trip to Passion Camp in Florida (put on by Passion City Church.)

In Week 6 of 6 in A Resuscitation of Stars AKA "Summer Camp for Adults", we wrap up a stellar summer switch-up. We get to hear from numerous students and student leaders (through prayer, scripture reading, and sharing) as they prepare to depart for a week of learning, growth, and community at Passion Camp in Florida.

In Week 5 of 6 in A Resuscitation of Stars AKA "Summer Camp for Adults", we hear from Joel about the power of light and where we're shining and directing our light. We continue to hear from members of the church and an echoing of the sentiment of being a "marvelous light" to the world.

In Week 4 of 6 in A Resuscitation of Stars AKA "Summer Camp for Adults", we hear from John about opening ourselves up to God, letting the light in, and teaching from Genesis 1. We also recap Worship Night where 25 people were baptized and hear from some of the congregation of the impact of that night.
