Could Jesus have chosen anyone more disqualified to be the pillars of His Church?

Her hospitality flows from faith. She recognizes God’s presence in Elisha and responds generously.

Jesus wants us to strive for excellence and develop virtuous lives. He wants us to get up and walk, walk away from habitual sin that perhaps has a hold on someone due to spiritual confusion.

From the womb John was baptized by Christ, who was in the womb of the Blessed Virgin, by the power of the Holy Spirit.

He did not know what God would do, but he knew God would hear him and what God decided would be best.

It is in the small things this coherency of life is forged.

I can do all things with him who gives me strength!

We have been inserted into Christ’s very priesthood.

God’s correction of Ahab was not an act of rejection but of mercy. God was fighting for Ahab’s heart before it was too late.

How is chastity a fruit of the Holy Spirit?

Oh how He loves us!

Are we becoming what God created us to be? Are we authentic disciples?

Is it possible to get through the day without lying?

The Blessed Trinity dwells in each of us through sanctifying grace.

Problem: we don’t discuss what matters most, because we don’t dedicate the time.

At Calvary the Woman becomes Mother of the Church.

For thousands of years, one of the most terrifying signs of defeat in war was fire.

So the devil is: A roaring lion, the father of lies and the prosecutor standing before God's throne, bringing charges against believers, seeking their condemnation.

"St Augustine said in his sermons, it’s no use complaining about the times, because we are the times. How we live shapes them.”

How often conversations start with this question: So what are you planning to do today?

Prayer “in His name” means participation in sonship

Yet, one still has to make a choice.

Paul does not choose Philippi; he is sent there.

Through you, He gives the world a glimpse of what His love looks like in flesh.

Jesus is stating that fruit and access to the Father will be through his Name. All through Christ.

As faithful Catholics, we should respect the Pope and read his teachings.

To abide in Christ, means care to maintain the “soil” of my heart good.

It’s ironic that our opening reading describes St. Paul pelted with stones to the point of death and Jesus talking about peace!

Do not let your hearts be troubled. That is easier said than done.

Jesus has a dream.

Joseph is the bridge through which that promise becomes reality in Christ.

A heart that leaves in fear can, over time, become a heart ready for mission.

“You are a mystery as deep as the sea; the more I search, the more I find, and the more I find the more I search for you” St. Catherine of Siena.

Our part is to listen to the voice of Jesus the Shepherd and follow him.

What is God asking you to do?

Our society, especially in the educational world is suffering from a lack of meaning

To have witnessed Jesus’s miracles were no guarantee one would believe.

Jesus constantly offers us greater revelation that requires faith

“God who created you without you will not justify you without you” St. Augustine—Sermon 169 (Sermo 169, chapter 13).

By giving the Holy Spirit, Jesus creates us anew. We have a new heart and a new spirit; a heart no longer of stone, but of flesh.

Fear is not an easy habit to kick.

Our country desperately needs witnesses who speak the truth in love and courage.

Mercy is the foundation of relationship with Jesus.

The Church’s answer today is daring and sobering: God does not reboot creation. God recreates it—from within.

If Christ truly assumes humanity, then no dimension of human existence remains untouched—not even death, not even the silence of abandonment.

He loves us!
