Episode 250: Fantastical Booking!
After WWE made the rather bold decision to split all their good and bad matches from WrestleMania onto separate nights, it felt like there was a bit of course correction happening with Backlash – an event that we both thought was better than expected. Since then, it’s been mostly, to quote the great Jim Cornette, the drizzling shits. So rather than spend another episode just complaining about it, we decided to become an active participant and tell you how we would being doing things. So we’re fantasy booking the wrestling season following Mania through SummerSlam in this, episode 250, Fantastical Booking! FULL VIDEO EPISODES! Episode 249: The Old School Meets The New School!
We invite you this episode to jump into The Wayback Machine with us to that hallowed year of 2019. Back before a global pandemic but not quite before global dread, to a time when two albums were released. One was by a band that was celebrating 50 years of music, the other was barely past its second decade. Episode 248: Workin' Both Sides Of The Aisle!
It’s been a fast and furious week or so in professional wrestling with the build up to PLEs from both major American promotions as well as weekly television and a B-level PLE thrown in just for kicks. AEW rolled into Uncle Todd’s neck of the woods for a live broadcast of Dynamite and Collision and he waded into enemy territory to be part of history. On the other side of the trenches, WWE has been building up to their first ever Italian PLE this coming Sunday as well as cranking out weekly TV and a Saturday Night’s Main Event in that jewel of the midwest, Fort Wayne, Indiana. How’d it all go? What’s gonna happen in Italy? We cover it all in this, episode 248, Working Both Sides Of The Aisle! FULL VIDEO EPISODES! Episode 247: Silver Screens & Beskar!
Back in 2019, “The Mandalorian” debuted on the fledgling Disney+ streaming app and millions of “Star Wars” fans cried out in absolute glee and were suddenly… still crying out in glee. Maybe it wasn’t Boba Fett, but we all finally got to see the adventures of a Mandalorian bounty hunter and got more than we ever knew to ask for by the end of episode one when Grogu (aka Baby Yoda) stepped into the world. Now, seven years later, we’re on the verge of their first trip to the big screen with the debut of the imaginatively titled “The Mandalorian and Grogu” this week, so we’re diving into all the rumors to decide what will and won’t happen in this, episode 247, Silver Screens & Beskar! Episode 246: Maul Or Nothing!
Ever since Rogue One, the galaxy far far away has been a bit of a mixed bag. For every Mandalorian, there is a Solo. And for every Ahsoka, there’s a Rise Of Skywalker. So when a new animated show featuring everyone’s favorite prequel jobber was announced, there was plenty of anticipation, mixed in with a healthy dose of trepidation. Now that we’ve had a chance to give it a watch, the sentiment seems to be nearly unanimous. With a Rotten Tomatoes score just under 100% and tons of critic and fan accolades, Maul: Shadow Lord is a blatant success. So, now that the educated arbiters of taste and unwashed masses have spoken, we’re left to ask… what do the idiots have to say? Well, we’re glad you asked, because we’re going to break it all down for you in this, episode 246, Maul Or Nothing! FULL VIDEO EPISODES! Episode 245: Backlash and... Backlash!
The dust has settled on WrestleMania 42, but that doesn’t mean that all is well and at peace in the wrestling universe. Then, there was the annual post-Mania releases that took a bunch of people off the back burner and dumped them directly into the grease trap. So what’s to be made of all these snubs and shenanigans?
