From Hesitant to Hope

Hello! We are super excited to be back… again! We unfortunately were unable to stick with our intended schedule for season 2 but we are sticking through this. This week we are reflecting on life and talking about how to reorganize different things so that our life is focused on Christ. Our hope is that as we think through and process practical positive changes in our lives that you are inspired to do the same.

Hi! We are excited to be back. We recorded this episode back in November and fully intended for you to hear it much sooner. Nevertheless, here it is, and we hope you find encouragement in it. In this episode, we talk about three lessons we were learning in the end of 2021. We share stories about how God went about putting those specific things on our hearts and the avenues and people He used to help drive them home. As always, we threw a little fun in there too and asked each other some random Holiday related questions. In this episode, we will be launching our Mentor series! This will be a series intertwined with our regular episodes and placed where we see fit. We are also happy to welcome our very first podcast guest! We are so excited to have Makenna on the pod. She brings so much energy, wisdom, and care into the words she shares with us. We have had the honor for the past 22 years (her whole life) of knowing Makenna and she is full of love, confidence, joy, and so much more. We will dive into Makenna’s story, how she’s gotten to where she is today, her random tidbits and tips about life, and we will spend a little extra time talking to her about her expertise in the area of leadership! In this episode, we will be talking about love and light! We feel like there is a great lack of love and a daily increase in division everywhere we look. We felt like it was important this week just to shed some light on love, what that means to us as Christians, and to share some of our personal convictions. We will also talk about light, in the sense that God is the light of the world, and also that His burden is light. We are excited to share our thoughts on these topics and we hope you are reminded of how important it is to love others.

Hi all! In this episode we talk about what and who we should be grounded in and the struggles of staying grounded in Christ. We also talk a bit about how we are still growing and constantly evolving into who God has called us to be. We discuss how we stay grounded while growing in Faith and Love in Christ. In this episode, we will be talking about comparison and how and why we are so quick to compare ourselves to others. We will discuss the negative impact comparison has had on our lives and how comparison can be a positive thing in some ways. We will also talk through how God chose us to be co-heirs of his kingdom, children of God, and how as we step into understanding our identity in Him more, comparison to others holds much less value. We hope you enjoy!

In this episode, we will be sharing our thoughts on endurance and encouragement. We will talk through a few different Bible stories and some verses that have been helpful to us as we continue to endure through the ups and downs of life. Our hope is that you are inspired to continue on, with God at the center, and that you have encouragement around you (and are able to encourage others). Even if you don’t have a supportive group of people around, the Bible is so encouraging and we challenge you to open it up and begin to see all the good God’s word has woven in it. Keep going, as long as we are breathing, God is not done with us yet. There are going to be both beautiful and hard seasons ahead, but we can trust God and know that nothing is wasted, and all things will work together for the good of those who love Him!

In this episode, we will talk all about being grateful and present! It’s so easy to get side tracked with all the distractions this world has to offer, but it is SO worth it to focus on being grateful for this life we have been given which brings us back to the present moment. Gratitude leads to presence and in the process it helps us trust God more. It’s a win win. Thank you for listening!

We will be sharing our thoughts about what these words mean, how they have a practical role in our daily lives, how we can find our passion while living in our purpose, and some of the questions we have that came up along the way as we were trying to find answers. We will talk through the impact we have had on each other as well as others, impact other people have had on us, and how we can impact and influence ourselves and others well in our daily lives. We hope this makes you think about the affect you have on other people’s lives and how much power our words and actions hold. Finally, we pray that God, His word, and His people have the most lasting impact and influence each of your lives, so much so that His goodness starts to pour out of you too.

During this episode, we will be sharing a bit about who we are, why we started this podcast, and our hope for where it can go! We will also be answering some random fun questions and we will finish off with a few faith-based questions. We hope you can feel the genuine love and joy that we have for each other, for Jesus, and our heart for our generation and others to have and grow in their relationship with the Lord!
