    What does that mean and where did you hear it? Isn't all pain "nerve pain" - having pain without nerves would be hard. It is a metaphor designed to convey meaning, but often it is based on incorrect information. Understanding pain is always the first and best way to treat it.

    Today we tackle another common, unhelpful, possibly harmful thing people in pain hear all the time. It should read "there is nothing we can inject you with we haven't already tried!". There is always something you can do. Pain can change. Step one, understand it.

    The most common and worst piece of advice to people in pain. What if everything hurts? Understanding pain is the first step. Once we debunk some myths we'll go into what pain is and why it is there.
