This week we're kicking off the month of July with the big game for the month, Red Dead Redemption II (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1174180/Red_Dead_Redemption_2/). This is one of the best-selling games of all time, and I'm looking forward to spending some more time with it. So far, it's good! This week I touch briefly on the subject of madness in the world of Mad Max (https://store.steampowered.com/app/234140/Mad_Max/) and wonder if maybe Max is seen as mad, being the only sane person in a world of madness. The big focus for the month of June is Mad Max (https://store.steampowered.com/app/234140/Mad_Max/), which came out over 10 years ago now, but it's proving to be a pretty fun game so far! Also this week, I'm taking a look at one of my favorite games from years ago, Fable Anniversary (https://store.steampowered.com/app/288470/Fable_Anniversary/)! This is a fun, relatively simply action RPG that I highly recommend if you like medieval fantasy games. Also this week, I'm recommending the brand new Steam Controller (https://store.steampowered.com/sale/steamcontroller) from Valve, which is a little hard to get your hands on, but it's worth it! This week as we wrap up our time with the game, I'm talking about the way that familiarity with Star Wars and the prequel, Fallen Order, helps to enhance but not consume Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1774580/STAR_WARS_Jedi_Survivor/). This week I wanted to take a look at some of the ways that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1774580/STAR_WARS_Jedi_Survivor/) improves on its predecessor, with some very small and some larger changes made from Fallen Order. For the month of May I'll be playing Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1774580/STAR_WARS_Jedi_Survivor/), which is the sequel to one of the games I most enjoyed playing last year. This week I continue exploring the Uncharted and Tomb Raider series! Uncharted 3 (https://www.playstation.com/en-us/games/uncharted-the-nathan-drake-collection/) is probably one of my favorites in the series, and Tomb Raider III (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2478970/Tomb_Raider_IIII_Remastered_Starring_Lara_Croft/) is possibly the best in that series so far as well! This week is a battle of the sequels! Uncharted 2 (https://www.playstation.com/en-us/games/uncharted-the-nathan-drake-collection/) takes everything good about the first game and cranks it up, while Tomb Raider II (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2478970/Tomb_Raider_IIII_Remastered_Starring_Lara_Croft/)...does not! This week I played some of the excellent LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga (https://store.steampowered.com/app/920210/LEGO_Star_Wars_The_Skywalker_Saga/) and got to enjoy a less-than-serious take on some of my favorite movie moments from the series. I also tried Kingdom Hearts II (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2552430/KINGDOM_HEARTS_HD_1525_ReMIX/) for the first time and, after getting past the three-hour prologue, enjoyed what I played of it! This week I played the inventive and thoughtful Tunic (https://store.steampowered.com/app/553420/TUNIC/) and really enjoyed it, even if I felt lost half the time. This week I played the sequels to each of the games I played last week! Both really good turn-based tactics games! This week I continue playing through the Arkham games with Batman: Arkham City (https://store.steampowered.com/app/200260/Batman_Arkham_City__Game_of_the_Year_Edition/) which is a really fantastic follow-up to Arkham Asylum. I also was able to hop into the Battlefield 6 Open Beta (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2807960/Battlefield_6/) and get a preview of what that new game will look like when it releases in October.
