Ospreay said that to understand what it takes to be a British wrestler fighting for the world title on the biggest stage, you have to understand what it’s like to be a British wrestler. Ospreay reminisced on his days on the English independent scene, saying it was to show the UK is where the best wrestle. He gives a shoutout to British wrestling legends like Mark Haskins, Doug Williams, and more. Ospreay also said he liked to honor those who are no longer here, like Chris Travis, Mad Kurt, Ryan Smile, and Lionheart. He mentioned that Omega is not there tonight, but says no one has more respect for Omega than him; however, the respect is gone after Omega mentioned his son. Violent J brings up history where The Headbangers fought Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and X-Pac as The JWO in 2008. Mosh is choking Tony in the rope and as the ref tells him to stop, they take out the ref and throw him to the outside. Mad Man Pondo comes out as the replacement ref. Willie Mack gets into the ring and turns the tide for the JWO and 2 Tuff Tony hits the Lionsault. Slade comes from the crowd and Nick Gage hits Willie Mack with a Kendo stick.
