Session 133 - Why Do I Keep Ruining Good Things. When They're Finally Going Well?
Why do you keep walking away from the very things you've always wanted?Have you ever noticed that just when life starts getting better... you begin to doubt yourself?A relationship is going well, yet you start pulling away. Work is finally falling into place, but you begin questioning everything. Someone genuinely cares about you, and suddenly you find yourself expecting it all to end.If you've ever thought, "Why do I keep ruining good things?", this episode is for you. What if you're not sabotaging your happiness at all? What if your brain is trying to protect you using old information that no longer reflects the life you're living today? In this powerful episode of Global Hypnotherapy with Aidan Noone, you'll discover why self-sabotage is often misunderstood, how your brain learns protective patterns, and why understanding those patterns is the first step towards lasting change. This isn't about blame. It's about understanding.Because once you understand why your brain reacts the way it does, you stop seeing yourself as the problem—and begin seeing a genuine path forward.Your brain isn't working against you. It's trying to protect you. Sometimes, it simply needs new information.Remember... you are not broken. You are understandable.Your brain has been trying to protect you with the information it has.The good news is this: the brain can learn, the brain can change, and so can you.Until next time, take good care of yourself.

It may be to speak with your doctor or another healthcare professional. Or it may be to recognise that you have been trying to manage this alone for long enough. If you would like to explore whether I can help, arrange a confidential strategy call. We will not begin with ‘What is wrong with you?’ We will begin by understanding what has happened, what your mind and body may have learned, and what you now want your life to becomeI will give you enough understanding to help you see the possibility of change. Session 132 - Why Can't I Stop Over-Thinking?
Why Can't I Stop Thinking?Have you ever wished you could just switch your mind off?The more you try to stop thinking, the louder your thoughts seem to become. You replay conversations, imagine worst-case scenarios, question your decisions, and wonder why your mind won't give you a moment's peace. If that sounds familiar, probably just like you, millions of people ask themselves the very same question. In today's episode of Global Hypnotherapy with Aidan Noone, we're going to explore why your brain keeps thinking, why it's not a sign that something is wrong with you, and, more importantly, what you can begin to do about it.Because understanding your mind is often the first step towards changing it.Important InformationWhat I have shared today may help you understand the pattern and begin responding differently. Session 124 - What's Wrong With You? What has Your Mind Been Protecting You From?
Because shame grows in the belief that we're defective.Compassion grows in the understanding that our mind learned something important, even if that lesson is no longer helpful today. Now, this doesn't mean every emotional reaction is useful.Nor does it mean we should simply accept suffering.Far from it.But I believe we should become curious before we become critical.Curiosity asks,"What happened?"Judgement asks,"What's wrong with me?"Curiosity opens doors.Judgement closes them.If you would like to chat with me further, please click the link below: https://tidycal.com/aidannoone/free-strategy-call-with-aidan-noone

Session 119 - Day 6 - Become Useful
A contribution-based challengeToday is about becoming useful. That may not sound glamorous. But it is powerful.Because a man who feels useless will struggle to feel meaningful.A man who feels that nobody needs him, nobody notices him, and nothing changes because of him can begin to feel invisible. And invisibility is painful. But meaning often begins when your presence starts to matter somewhere. Not everywhere..........................................From becoming someone who can be counted on.And that begins small. One useful action. One person helped. One responsibility taken seriously. One moment where your presence made something better.Today, become useful somewhere. Not to prove your worth. But to remember it.Want to speak with me in person> Just click the link below and we can chat for 15 minutes, no fee, no fuss.https://tidycal.com/aidannoone/free-strategy-call-with-aidan-noone

Session 117 - Day 5 - Identify What Matters
A values exercise without vague "find your passion" languageMeaning often begins when a man becomes honest about what he respects, what he wants to stand for, and what he no longer wants to tolerate in his own life.Values are not vague ideas. Take action."What matters enough that I am willing to act on it this week. This is where direction begins. Now those three values. You can chat with me without obligation. Session 115 - Day 3 - Keep One Promise
Keep One PromiseA new small behaviour can work wonders.Today is about one promise. Not ten promises. Not a complete life overhaul. One promise.Because a man’s confidence is not built from motivational videos. It is not built from saying, “This is my year.”It is not built from imagining a better future while doing the same things every day.Confidence is evidence.Want to speak with me personally. Session 112 - The Man Who Says "I'm Grand, "I'm Fine"
The Man Who Says "I'm Grand, "I'm Fine"That man who suffers in silence and hesitates to speak up, to speak out. “I’m exhausted.”“I’m under pressure.”“I don’t know how to explain what’s going on inside me.”“I don’t want to burden anyone.”“I’m trying to hold myself together.”Because inside, his mind is racing. He’s carrying pressure he doesn’t talk about. He’s lying awake at night. He’s replaying conversations. He’s worrying about money, family, health, work, the future. He’s trying to keep everything together while quietly feeling like he’s losing control. And the worst part?He starts believing this is just who he is now.The quiet man.The distant man.The tired man.The man who keeps going, but doesn’t really feel alive. But here’s the truth. He’s not broken. He may simply be caught in a pattern his mind and body have learned over time.Push it down.Keep moving.Say nothing.Stay busy.Don’t show weakness.Pretend you’re grand. But that pattern comes at a cost.It affects sleep. It affects mood.It affects relationships. It affects confidence. It affects the body.It affects the man himself. After more than 30 years working with people, I’ve learned this:Men don’t always need a lecture. They don’t need someone telling them to “man up.”And they don’t need another motivational quote. They need a practical way to stop the spiral and get back in control. That’s the work I do.I help people change the response that keeps running their life.So if you’re tired of saying “I’m grand” while carrying everything in silence, book a confidential strategy call today.Let’s get you back in control. There’s a man who says:“I’m grand.”But he isn’t.He’s lying awake at night. He’s overthinking everything. He’s carrying pressure he never talks about. He’s showing up for everyone else while slowly disappearing from himself. And because he can still function, people think he’s fine. But functioning is not the same as living. After more than 30 years working with people, I’ve learned this:A man doesn’t have to be broken to need help.Sometimes he’s just caught in an old pattern.Say nothing.Push it down.Keep going.Pretend you’re grand. But that pattern can be changed. If you’re tired of saying “I’m grand” while carrying everything in silence, book a confidential strategy call today.Let’s get you back in control. The Man Who Says “I’m Grand”He says he’s grand. But he’s not sleeping properly. He’s overthinking everything. He’s avoiding people. He’s carrying pressure he never speaks about. And because he still shows up, everyone thinks he’s fine. But functioning is not the same as living. If you’re tired of saying “I’m grand” while carrying everything in silence, book a confidential strategy call today.Let’s get you back in control. These are all strong:Very emotionally loaded. Good for mental health content.More direct. Good if the video is about overthinking, anxiety, isolation, or shutdown.Good for older men, fathers, husbands, self-employed men, or men under pressure.Short, punchy, curious.Very strong. This could be a separate video.Hard-hitting. Good for a serious post.Powerful, but slightly more dramatic.Good for podcast or longer-form content. He says he’s grand. But he’s tired, distant, overthinking, and carrying more than he admits.Men don’t always need another motivational quote.Sometimes they need a practical way to stop the spiral and get back in control.Confidential strategy calls available. The Man Who Says “I’m Grand”He’s functioning. But he’s not fine.He sleeps badly.Overthinks everything.Avoids talking. He carries it quietly. But silence is not strengthwhen it’s costing him his life.Stop the spiral.Regain control.Book a no obligation confidential strategy call.https://tidycal.com/aidannoone/free-strategy-call-with-aidan-nooneFREE Audios Below https://payhip.com/AidanNooneTherapeuticAudio

Session 111 - Helping Men Get Unstuck
Practical mind-body guidance for men rebuilding direction, confidence and connection. There is a genuine need, but the scale and causes of male loneliness should not be exaggerated or turned into a culture-war slogan. In Ireland, men account for around 80% of deaths by suicide, while research on men seeking mental health support repeatedly finds barriers such as minimising their difficulties, not knowing what to look for in a therapist and believing they should solve problems alone. Young men also report that support would be more useful if it were better tailored to them. The research also supports your focus on meaning. A stronger sense of purpose is associated with better wellbeing, while research specifically involving men found that meaning in life was connected to lower psychological distress through resilience and reduced loneliness. Session 107 - My Personal Experience of Grief and Bereavememt
Aidan Noone, a widower of 15 years, opens up about his journey coping with the loss of his wife, Catherine, to cancer after 26 years of marriage. Through a poignant narrative, Aidan reflects on the deeply personal and ongoing struggle with grief, the emotional triggers that bring back memories, and the various ways he has sought solace, including writing and hypnotherapy. With honesty and vulnerability, Aidan shares how he navigates his path through bereavement, offering insights and support for those who might be on a similar journey. Join us as we explore the complexities of grief and the avenues for healing, reminding us all that while our loved ones may no longer be physically present, their memory remains a cherished part of our hearts. Here are some maxims to live by, distilled from the concepts explored in Aidan Noone's account of his bereavement: Acknowledge and Feel Your Emotions: Embracing your emotions, even the painful ones, is part of the healing process. Memories Are Inevitable and Significant: Allow memories to surface and cherish the moments that mattered. Grief Has No Timeline: Understand that grief doesn't follow a set path or schedule. Letting Go is a Personal Journey: Define what letting go means for you, and know it's okay if that changes over time. Find Your Own Path to Healing: Whether through writing, talking, or creative endeavors, find what helps you release emotional pressure. Utilize Support Systems: Lean on family, friends, and support groups who understand your experience. Live Authentically: Don't worry about others' opinions; focus on living your truth and finding your happiness. Your Feelings Are Valid: Accept that your emotions, no matter how irrational they may seem, are genuine and part of your healing process. Everyone's Grief is Unique: Respect that each person's journey through grief is individual and personal. Take it One Step at a Time: Move forward gradually, finding strength and comfort in small steps. Express Your Emotions: Use writing or another form of expression to release and understand your grief. Build a New Reality: Embrace the idea that life will never be the same, and work towards creating a new reality with your loved ones' memories still in your heart. By living by these maxims, you can navigate your personal journey of grief with mindfulness and self-compassion. https://www.aidannoone.com

Living with IBS can be incredibly challenging, but there are practical strategies that can help manage symptoms and significantly improve your quality of life. In this episode, I'll be sharing the top 5 effective ways to manage IBS symptoms on a daily basis. From identifying trigger foods and managing stress to staying hydrated and incorporating regular exercise, we've got you covered. So grab a notepad and get ready to take some valuable notes—this episode could make a big difference in your daily life! Aidan Noone [00:00:00]: Hello, everyone, and thanks. And welcome back to my channel. If you're new here, my name is Aidan Noona, a hypnotherapist and coach of over 30 years experience. Today, I'm going to share with you something that can make a big difference if you're dealing with IBS on a daily basis. I'm going to share the top 5 effective ways to manage IBS symptoms daily. Now living with IBS can really be challenging, but there are practical ways to manage the symptoms and improve your quality of life. Let's dive into the top 5 strategies you can start using today. Number 1 is identifying and avoiding trigger foods. Aidan Noone [00:00:43]: Now I'm not a dietitian, and I highly recommend that you consult with a suitable qualified dietitian in this matter. In fact, I would insist on it. Everyone's triggers can be different, but common culprits include dairy, gluten, caffeine, and certain high FODMAP foods. Now keeping a food diary can help you spot patterns and identify what triggers your symptoms. Now once you know your triggers, you can avoid them, and avoid and find suitable alternatives, as I say. Now number 2 is managing stress. Stress is a major trigger for IBS symptoms. Techniques like breathing exercises, meditation, and indeed other form of exercising can help you stay calm and reduce stress. Aidan Noone [00:01:36]: Even setting aside a few minutes a day for relaxation can make a big difference. And number 3 is staying hydrated. Drinking plenty of water helps keep your digestive system moving smoothly. It's especially important if you experience constipation. Aim for at least 8 glasses of water a day and try to limit caffeinated and alcoholic beverages as they can dehydrate you. They are diuretics. Now number 4 is eating smaller, more manageable meals, and this may help you. Again, consult with your dietitian. Aidan Noone [00:02:17]: Large meals can overwhelm your digestive system and exacerbate IBS symptoms. Instead, try having 5 or 6 smaller meals throughout the day. This can help maintain steady digestion and prevent bloating and discomfort. Again, consult with your suitable qualified dietitian. And number 5 is incorporating regular exercises into your daily routine. Physical activity can help stimulate normal contractions of the intestines and the digestive tract. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise most days of the week. Activities like walking, cycling, or even other gentle exercises can be hugely beneficial to you. Aidan Noone [00:03:05]: So there you have it. 5 effective ways to manage your IBS symptoms daily. Remember, consistency is key and it's important to find what works for you, what works best for you. If you find this video helpful, please give it a thumbs up. Share it with anyone who might you may think might find it beneficial, and remember to subscribe to my channel for more tips and advice. Session 94- Short Guided Meditation for YOU
Welcome to this guided meditation designed especially for you to find comfort and inner calmness. And by its nature, this recording is hypnotic in nature, and you will not listen to this whilst driving or operating machinery or any other activity that requires your undivided attention. So with that, let's begin and allow yourself to be as comfortable as you possibly can be because this time is is for you to relax and reconnect with your inner peace. Let's begin by finding a comfortable position. One in which you can sit still or lie down, whatever feels best for you. Gently close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose, filling your lungs completely. Hold it for a moment, and then gently exhale through your mouth. And let's do this a few more times. Inhale deeply and hold it. That's right. And then gently exhale slowly with each breath in. Imagine breathing in calm and peace. And with each breath out, imagine just releasing any tension or stress. And continuing this pattern, focusing on the soothing rhythm of your breath. Taking all the time that you need. And now, let's bring your attention to different parts of your body. Start with your toes. Feel them relax and let go of any tension. Move up to your feet. Your ankles and your calves, feeling them becoming heavy and relaxed. And next, bring your awareness to your knees, your thighs, and your hips. Notice any sensations you might feel, and just allow these areas to soften and relax. Move your focus to your lower back, your stomach, and your chest. With each breath, feel your chest gently rise and fold. Bringing a sense of calm to your entire body. And now, bring your attention to your shoulders. Let them drop and release any tension you're holding there. That's right. And move down to your arms, past your elbows, to your hands and fingers. Feel them relax completely. Finally, bring your focus to your neck, your face, and your head. Notice any tightness in your jaw or around your eyes. And let those areas soften. Your whole body is now in a state of relaxation. That's right. And now imagine yourself in a peaceful place. It could be a serene beach or a quiet forest. Or any place where you feel completely at ease, picture yourself there surrounded by the beauty of nature. Feel the warmth of the sun on your shoulders and your skin. Hear the gentle sounds of nature and breathe in the fresh calming air. To immerse yourself in this scene, allow a sense of peace to wash over you. Imagine being there looking out through your eyes, seeing what you're seeing through your eyes. That's right. And in this safe and tranquil place, you are free from worries and stress. Feel the comfort and serenity enveloping you, bringing you a profound sense of inner calm. And while you are in this peaceful place, take a moment to reflect on things you are grateful for. It could be simple things like the warmth of the sun, the sound of birds, or the comfort of your surroundings. Express gratitude for these moments of peace and the opportunity to reconnect with yourself. Let this feeling of gratitude fill your heart and expand outwards, enhancing your sense of well-being. And when you are ready, slowly begin to bring your awareness back to your physical surroundings. Feel the surface beneath you. Hear the soft music in the background and notice the rhythm of your breath. Gently wiggle your fingers and toes. And when you feel ready, slowly open your eyes. Take a moment to notice how you feel, carrying with you this sense of calm and relaxation with you as you go about your day. And remember, this place of inner peace is always within you. You can return to it whatever you feel or when you need comfort and calmness. Thank you for joining me on this short meditation. May you carry this sense of peace and relaxation with you throughout your day. Thank you for listening, and bye bye for now. Until next time. https://www.aidannoone.com

Session 91 - The Easy Way I Know of to Overcome Obstacles and Help YOU Leave Behind Trauma
Aidan Noone [00:00:00]: Hello. Do you want to know the easiest way I know of to overcome obstacles without feeling overwhelmed and defeated and without spending years in therapy. Well, keep watching and listening. Just think of the following. You probably grew up in a average family. Perhaps you had siblings, brothers or sisters, or maybe you're an only child. It really doesn't matter. So you went to school or perhaps you didn't have much schooling. Aidan Noone [00:00:41]: Again, that doesn't really matter. You had the same age friends perhaps or older friends or younger friends or from school or from the neighborhood you grew up in. Now then one day, yes, one day something happens. An event. Something happens to you. Perhaps it was an accident of some sort, or it was another event that was significantly emotionally charged enough that it traumatized you and continues to do so today. You somehow became become stuck in the past, in the event. Your mind is constantly thinking about it. Aidan Noone [00:01:22]: Or when you venture into a certain space or context, you relive the original event and the traumatic accompanying feelings. And, eventually, you learn to avoid situations that you find uncomfortable. Or perhaps you feel uncomfortable a lot of the time, and yet you don't know how or why you feel those negative, horrible feelings. You may feel as though a weight is on your shoulders, carrying it around all the time nonstop, being weighed down. Now you become so used to feeling the way you feel that you firmly believe that that's the way life is, and that's the way it will always be for you. Now I'm here to reassure you, to tell you life doesn't have to be that way. You don't have to feel and experience the past trauma that you've been experiencing. You don't have to be stuck back in the past, back in an event. Aidan Noone [00:02:38]: There are remarkably simple and easy ways to help you to become unstuck from the past and free yourself to move forward and bring and begin to enjoy life more now than ever before. Now being stuck is like being frozen inside a piece of concrete, forever stuck. And I want to tell you again that if you feel that way, you can smash the concrete and break free. Yes. Every person is unique and special. And in all cases, I highly recommend and advise you that you, in the first instance, always consult with your primary health care provider, your general medical practitioner, to check that there isn't any medical pathology that is causing your current way of being. Always important. Now there are cutting edge techniques and interventions derived from advanced fields of psychology and personal change, engineering. Aidan Noone [00:03:49]: In fact, you have everything you need right inside your head to help you make to help you make that personal long lasting change. You just need to be shown how to use your brain for a change and keep the change. And when you have all that done, you you might consider consulting a reputable, qualified, professional person to assist you to make that change. Leave your comments or questions below, and I will endeavor to answer and respond to you just as soon as I can, or any comments at all, whatever you need to ask or say. Remember, there is a way forward, and you don't have to spend months and a dead years in therapy. So take care now for now, and all the best, and I'll talk to you very, very soon. Bye bye for now.

Session 88 - When is the Problem not the Problem?
Speaker A [00:00:00]: I have a question for you. When is the problem, not the problem? Paul Watzlawick, excuse the pronunciation, a renowned psychologist and philosopher, once shared a profound insight that reshapes how we think about challenges and solutions. He suggested the problem is not the problem. Yes. The problem is not the problem. The problem is how the client, how you, are trying to solve the problem. This statement, simple yet powerful, holds a very a key to understanding why we find ourselves stuck in cycles of frustration and failure when facing difficulties. Imagine you're trying to fix a leaky faucet a tap. Speaker A [00:00:52]: You're you've tried tightening a screw here, replacing a washer there, but the drip, drip, drip continues. Frustrated, you consider the falsehood to be the problem. But according to Vatslovic, the real issue lies in how you're attempting to fix it. Perhaps you're using the wrong tools, or maybe the actual problem isn't what you think it is. The faucet isn't the problem. The approach to solving it, is. Now, of course, this concept applies far beyond plumbing. It's relevant to personal relationships, workplace dynamics, and even in how we tackle internal struggles like anxiety or low self esteem. Speaker A [00:01:44]: Often, our instinctive solutions to problems like avoidance, confrontation, denial don't resolve the underlying issue. They might provide temporary relief, but the problem persists or even worse is worsens. Now let's say you're feeling overwhelmed at work. Your solution might be to work longer hours, skipping breaks, and bringing home bringing work home. Initially, it might seem like the right approach to manage your workload. However, over time, you find yourself more stressed, less productive and facing burnout. The problem wasn't the overload itself, but how you choose to handle it. A more effective solution might involve time management, delegation are discussing workloads, adjustments with your manager or colleagues. Speaker A [00:02:48]: Vatlavik's insight encourages us to step back and reassess not just the problems we face, but our strategies for solving them. It's about questioning our automatic reactions are considering whether they're truly effective or if they're just familiar parts leading us in circles. This shift in perspective can be liberating. It opens up a range of possibilities for creative problem solving like that we might have overlooked if we focus solely on the problem as we perceive it to be. In practice, this means being open to change, seeking advice, and being willing to try new approaches. It's about recognizing that our first instinct might not always be the best one, and that sometimes the solution lies in changing our own behavior, your own behavior, your thoughts, your attitudes rather than trying to change the external situation. It's an invitation to be more reflective and less reactive to embrace flexibility over rigidity and to approach challenges with curiosity rather than despair. Vaclavik's wisdom isn't just a psychological concept. Speaker A [00:04:21]: It's a practical guide for more effective problem solving in every aspect of our lives. Remember, when you're faced with a problem, don't just focus on the obstacle itself. Consider how you're trying to overcome it. Now sometimes the path to a solution starts with reevaluating our approach, your approach. By doing so, we can transform our struggles into opportunities for growth and learning. I have a question. What is it that you're currently not aware of? And if you allowed yourself to become aware, you might just solve the problem or find find a sought after solution. Try it. Speaker A [00:05:15]: Leave your comments or questions below. Thanks for watching, and bye for now.
