Good morning Church family welcome to church! John 6:28 Asks “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” (NKJ) We will be exploring this question and more this morning. How is God working to answer that question in your life?

Today we pose a difficult question. What from your past or present hangs holds sway in your life that keeps you from true freedom in Christ?

Good morning Church family! Have you ever asked yourself “What kind neighbor am I? “ or if you actually know your neighbors? Also, what kind of neighbor do you think people would describe the Emmett Church of the Nazarene as being? Today we will discuss these questions!

Last Sunday's service we explored the fact that we live in a world of celebrities, but what we really need is more heroes. The question is though what exactly does it take to be a hero?

June 30ths sermon was an exploration of why sometimes we want what we want more than what we know God wants. Have you ever disregarded what God has asked you to do because you thought you knew better?

What in your life seems overwhelming? Is there an area in your life that seems out of your control? Do you fear that something will go wrong? You are many examples of such situations in The Bible. Join us Sunday where we explore a story with Pastor Gary Waller and explore life's uncertainties further.

Today we are going to pose the questions “What does it mean to be a people of integrity? Will we stand strong as a church body fully devoted to Jesus whatever the cost? And what exactly does living a life of integrity inspire us to do?”

This last Sunday was Trinity Sunday. The Sunday immediately following Pentecost Sunday is Trinity Sunday. On Trinity Sunday we proclaim the mystery of our faith in the triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, One-in-Three and Three-in-One. What this means is that God is one in essence and three in persons. These designations express three crucial truths: (1) The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are distinct Persons (2) each Person is fully God, (3) there is only one God. The reality is that there is one God who exists as three persons.

This past Sunday was Pentecost Sunday. The Jewish feast of Pentecost (Shavuot) was primarily a thanksgiving for the firstfruits of the wheat harvest, but it was later associated with a remembrance of the Law given by God to Moses on Mount Sinai. It is the day we commemorate the descent of the Holy Spirit following the Crucifixion, Resurrection, and Ascension of Jesus, that marks the beginning of the Christian church’s mission to the world.

Have you ever had to leave your home to follow loved ones to another place? How did you deal with the changes? Have you had to make difficult life changing decisions that impacted every aspect of your life? For the next two weeks we will explore the story of two women who had to deal with these very questions.

Have you ever been in a place or situation where you have had to make a difficult dicision? Have you ever been in a situation where you had to choose between your God and the expectations of others? Today we are going to explore one of the great heroines of the Bible who had to make just such a choice!

For centuries throughout Church history this second Sunday in Easter is often called “Holy Humor Sunday” or “Bright Sunday.” This is a day to celebrate the unbridled joy of the good news of Christ’s resurrection! God played a practical joke on the devil by raising Jesus from the dead. Satan was sure he had won but the joke was on him.  Our service this week features a lighthearted feel, with a sprinkling of jokes, all geared to help us experience joy more fully as we worship God together!

What Difference Does Easter Make? As followers of Jesus, it is of absolute importance that we do not allow the meaning of this day to in any way be diminished. To the contrary, this holiday, like Christmas, presents us with the unique opportunity to discuss the reason behind the season. This statement may seem obvious: Easter is about the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. Why is that important?

Once more we were joined by Pastor Gary Waller. We learned of God's new covenant with man and what exactly it means to be born again.

Sunday we continued our conversation about Lent and reflect on our mortality. We often apply the cross to our forehead and speak the words “Ashes to ashes dust to dust” acknowledging that we will some day pass on from this existence to the next. What really matters is how we live in between birth and death. This is where we have to put emphasis on how we live our lives as Christians and how we prepare ourselves for what comes after.

Last Sundays sermon was provided once again by our interim pastor Gary Waller. Who this week will have us examining the peace brought to us by the grace of our Lord. Romans 5 and Psalm 27 will be very relevant in todays sermon as we explore further what it means to be a child of God

It can be frustrating! But could it be possible that some of these life interruptions could be God trying to use us in some way? This series explores the interruptions and unexpected moments in Christ’s ministry. How does He view them... and even take advantage of them? Jesus’ reaction to the people and disruptions in His life can help us with ours. What might we learn from Him as He deals with these “accidents” and “interruptions” in His life?
