Storms don’t hinder worship; they reveal whether our eyes are fixed on Christ, the source of true worship.

The feasts of tyrants produce famine, while Christ provides feasting in the wilderness.

Discipleship to Jesus opens the riches of heaven, while proximity in unbelief breeds contempt.

The kingdom of heaven gathers like a dragnet, a wide net, a future sorting, and a final separation.

The kingdom is valuable because in it the Father gives us His Son. Therefore, to gain the kingdom–even at the loss of all else–is of infinite worth.

God calls you to joyful, thankful worship because He is good and He has made us and we are His.

The Divine Warrior will judge His enemies because their wickedness is full, His past judgments are precedents, and their pride seals their fate. 

The Divine Warrior crushes every boastful empire, thus restoring the dignity of His people.

The Divine Warrior’s jealousy demolishes defiance and distributes peace.  

The Divine Warrior’s jealousy assures us of His justice and refuge for His people.

Sovereign grace that patiently comforts, exposes, confronts, and reorients His people to be on mission.

Sovereign grace that saves at rock bottom, saves those seated at the high seat of human pride.

Lives saved by Free and Sovereign grace are marked by reverence and repentance.

God’s Free and Sovereign grace is magnified over and above ethic lines, self-righteousness, and even fickle prophets.

Inclusion in the Father’s family through adoption in the Son results in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit who fills, transforms, and empowers His children.

Exclusion from the family of God in unbelief results in unclean spirits taking up residence, filling their lives, and spiraling from bad to worse.

Jesus calls two witnesses to the stand to condemn unbelief and testify to the Words of the greater Prophet and the Wisdom of the great King has come.

As the Father’s chosen, beloved, Spirit-empowered servant, Jesus brings justice to bear as the gentle servant of Yahweh to you.

The gracious election of the Father and the bountiful provision from the gentle and lowly Son allow for the burdened and labored to come and find rest for their souls.

Unresponsiveness to revealed mercy brings the reprimand of our Savior upon those who are unmoved by the Lord Jesus. 

Your unoffended reception of the Lord Jesus by faith brings blessing. These blessed ones find great privilege in the kingdom of God.

As the sheep of Jesus’ pasture, to find your life is to lose it, but to lose your life for Jesus’ sake is to find it. Those who lose everything to gain Christ, gain everything.

Our compassionate Lord’s mission expansion through the disciples extends to the lost sheep, depends upon His Father’s provision, and results in division.

Our Lord is compassionate toward the helpless; thus, His compassion compels us to a life on mission.
