    Gideon's Identity Crisis

While Gideon was hiding from the enemy with fear in his heart, God called him a mighty man and a deliverer of his nation. God views us through the call and destiny on our life, not by our circumstances. It is our tendency to look at our circumstances and feel unworthy and disqualified. We, as Gideon did, need to with the reality of what God says about us, and know that it is all about God, not all about us. Our faith is in God, not in our own strength, and our identity needs to flow from heaven to earth, not earth to heaven.

  2. 22

Stay in the Pool of Life

How does God measure the amount of life we have in our lives? He does this by measuring how rich our relationship with Him is. There are some practical things we can do to help us stay connected with God.

  3. 21

    Forgiveness and Compassion

Core values are meant to be built and strengthened in times of peace so that they can be counted on in times of adversity. A clip of a family tragedy is shown and particular attention is drawn to the family's reaction to the tragedy. It is an amazing story and teaches us the lesson of working on the core values of forgiveness and compassion so that when adversity comes, we can be like Jesus who said, “Father forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”

  4. 20

    Expressing the Heart of God

The Vision Statement of Grace Community Church is derived from Isaiah 61:1 which impart says: “To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound...” I believe that this scripture which was used in the very first sermon that Jesus preached in church reveals the heart of God. Jesus came to encourage, heal, proclaim liberty and open prisons to those who are bound, and so should we!

    Tears in the Garden

If anyone truly experienced the pain of full intamcy with God aside of Jesus who cam to restore it, it was Adam and Eve. God's desire for us to seek him with all is clear throughout the scripture, yet with the enemy's strategy of distraction in todays battle arena, have we truly lost the understanding of how important it is seek God, and to seek Him with everything?

  7. 17

    The Dual Nature of Jesus

Due to Gnosticism and other error that has been propagated about the deity of Jesus, this teaching clarifies the truth that Jesus as a man, was fully God and fully man. He had two natures while he was a man, the nature of God, of which he laid aside the power, rank and privilages of God; and the nature of man, so that he could totally empathize with us in our temptations, and over come them all as a man. The Bible declares this to be a great mystery: God was manifest in the flesh!

  8. 16

The Power of the Blood of Jesus

After preaching on two major topics of the Blood of Jesus (Cleansing and Redeeming), I add one more sermon that wraps up the topic with a variety of verses of scripture concerning the Blood of Jesus and things that it does for us. This sermon specifies from scripture the power in the Blood of Jesus and our need to appropriate it in our lives.

  9. 15

    The Redeeming Blood of Jesus

Following the previous sermon on the Cleansing Blood of Jesus, this sermon is focused on the redeeming quality of Jesus' blood. All have sinned and are in need of redemption. God's plan to provide redemption was to send His Son to die for our sin. On the cross, Jesus' blood was shed, the price to redeem us was paid, and though we were ‘sold under sin' by Adam, we are now ‘bought with a price a through the blood of Jesus'.

  10. 14

    Creator God

An inspiring and informative message examining recent scientific data regarding our solar system, galaxy and beyond which God has already clearly and amazingly communicated to us through the scriptures. Nothing is too difficult for a God who is creator of the heavens and earth!

  11. 13

    The Cleansing Blood of Jesus

The Blood of Jesus is powerful in that it is the only agent able to cleanse and remove the stain of sin in mankind. When Adam sinned, the universe was altered. Man, originally meant to have fellowship and intimacy with God, was suddenly separated from Him. But God, through the system of sacrifices, which covered and atoned for sin, offered a temporarily restored fellowship. Jesus came, once and for all, through the shedding of His own sacrificial blood, to pay a debt He didn't owe, to cancel the eternal debt of sin that we could never pay. It's His blood that not only cleanses us from sin, but clears our consciences as well.

  12. 12

    Jesus: Our Mercy and Jubilee

Mercy triumphs over judgment'. Jesus is our New Covenant sacrifice and becomes the mercy of God toward us in a personal Savior. The gift of salvation is made available to us at the cost of God Himself. Jesus is also our ‘Jubilee', the releasing of every debt (sin that deserved judgment) so that we can return to the Shepherd of our soul. The provision of God is demonstrated through the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ.

  13. 11

Loose Him and Let Him Go

Loose Him and Let Him Go! In this sermon we look at some of what took place when Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. Jesus told Martha that if she would only believe, she would see the glory of God. Then when the Jews had seen the glory of God, they believed! Our church is called to believe and see the glory of God, especially in the lives of those who have been transformed, so that others might see might believe. The grave clothes that bound Lazarus needed to removed by those who could help him. We as a church need to be prepared to loose those who come to Jesus and find life from what binds them.

    Tithing 2

Tithing (2) This is the second in a two-part series on tithing and covers the subject of reaping and sowing and how we receive “true riches” when we do it God's way. We always want to be on the right side of what God thinks about finances!

  17. 7

    Tithing Part 1

In this first of two sermons, a scriptural look at tithing reveals that the tithe is a “devoted” thing that belongs to the Lord. If kept from God for personal use, the “devoted” thing becomes an “accursed” thing. Ten percent belongs to God. You “pay” a tithe, not give it – giving begins after the tithe has been paid. The book of Malachi reveals that when we withhold the tithe, we rob God. We also see that the tithe is NOT part of the Law. Abraham tithed to Melchizedek 400 years before the Law was given. The tithe was part of God's plan before the Law, during the Law, and after the Law. Jesus referred to tithing when He said to give to God the things that are God's.

  18. 6

    The Patriotic Christian

Jesus instructed the Church to make disciples of all nations by teaching them to obey His teachings. Our Founding Fathers knew that for a Constitutional Republic to function successfully, its people would have to live by the morals Jesus taught. Benjamin Franklin said that without morals, a people would need to be ruled by “masters”. The political progressives have slowly but surely turned our country away from the Bible and the morality it teaches and have themselves seemingly exhibited a desire to be the masters. It is time for the church to speak up and show that we have something to offer the nations: the teachings of Jesus Christ – a vital and necessary ingredient for people to live in a successful Constitutional Republic.

  19. 5

    Who Are You?

In the Book of Acts, the story is told of a group of men who saw the power of God working through the disciples to cast demons out of people. They reasoned that by following the same “method”, they could also perform exorcisms, but instead were attacked and humiliated by the devil. Why? The answer, which is also a challenge to us, was given by the demonic spirit through the possessed person: “Jesus I know and Paul I know, but who are you?” The sermon concludes with an extensive list of scriptures declaring who we are in Christ.

  20. 4

    Communion

Jesus said, “unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood, you have no life in you”. Communion was never meant to be simply a ritual, but rather a living reality of our personal relationship with Jesus Christ. In this study of “The Lord's Supper”, we examine the spiritual meaning of Jesus' words and how to apply them to our lives.

  21. 3

    Law & Grace Part 3

In this third and final sermon on the subject of Law & Grace, we look at the ‘fatherhood' of Abraham and the ‘steps of faith' he took in his relationship with God. The promises made to Abraham by God are for ‘all those who believe'. Since we, as believers, are the ‘seed of Abraham', we can move in the same faith Abraham did, and trust God to perform His promises for us as well!

  22. 2

    Law & Grace Part 2

A continuation of the study of Romans on law and grace.

  23. 1

    Law and Grace Part 1

This sermon is a study of Romans 3 and 4 concerning the place and purpose of the Law and the place and purpose of Grace.
