In his charge to Grimké's graduating class, John Piper preaches from 1 Peter 4:10–11 to settle one conviction deep in every pastor and Christian before they go: the ministry you are called to is supernatural, and everything that actually matters in it is humanly impossible. Piper presses the uncomfortable truth that you can build a big, busy church entirely without God—and that none of it will count for eternity unless God himself supplies the oracles and the strength. But he refuses to leave it there.
