Guided by Love: The Podcast

The audio companion to the book ”Guided by Love: A Minister’s Thoughts on Love, Hope, and Justice” by Reverend Rebecca M. Bryan

  1. 0

    Quiet

I sat for a moment and then answered honestly. “Silence.”  It was an epiphany and a homecoming at the same time. Silence is my favorite form of music; it always has been.

  2. -1

    Seasons of Love

Love as I understand and experience it is an energy, a power of good. We all have to make the decision to engage with it. This is always a choice, for unlike fear and violence, Love will not overpower you.

  3. -2

    Space of a River

I had allowed myself to stop and listen to my inner knowing when I felt the pull of the canyon from beyond the screen window in our small room. It was a moment not to be missed. Thank God I listened.

  4. -3

    Peace in the Day-to-Day

During the holiday season, we may be remembering family and friends who left us this year, or who left us years ago and who are still close to us in our hearts. This meditation in this episode is meant to help center us and bring us closer to loved ones who's lives have changed. May this episode help to bring inner calm and a sense of centeredness as we enter into the holiday season.

  5. -4

The Expectations and Promise of Peace

Peace, my friends, is an unearned gift. It is a companion, a friend to accompany us throughout our lives.

  6. -5

    Room at Your Table

We live in an interconnected, multi-faceted world where all points of view and all ways of living must be allowed to exist. Transgender Day of Remembrance is this week, on Thursday, Nov 20. We bring this episode to you as our way of honoring those who lived as their true selves, and who suffered violence as a result. We hold all transgender people and all members of the LGBTQ+ community as whole and holy.

  7. -6

    Unfolding

Process Theology is about how we are all co-creators with God, which is also Love. God is Love and it is the responsibility of each of us to go out into this world and exist in Love, and by doing so we have a positive effect on individuals and the world.

  8. -7

    Her Voice

"Our world is alive, friends. She is crying for us to be in relationship with her. The best way to do this is to be and feel our connection to the Earth in our hearts and bodies. This means we feel her pain, are blessed by her gifts, and are awed by her beauty."

  9. -8

    Come Sunday

Human beings and animals have always had a kinship, and spiritual connection. In this week's episode, we discuss the importance of maintaining this connection in a world which has deviated from important relationship. "My love for animals, including their wisdom, their interconnection, and their love for each other is great, just as it is for humans." - Come Sunday, delivered on October 23, 2022

  10. -9

    An Invitation

The second of two introduction episodes. We chat with Reverend Rebecca about her book and this podcast and we hear "An Invitation," number 24 in the book.

  11. -10
