After a year-long hiatus, The Halfway There Cast is officially back. Tyler Ford and Eric Douglas reconnect, catch up on life changes, ministry shifts, sports photography, and what’s been happening behind the scenes.But it doesn’t stop there. Eric’s computer fails, a speed test and throws the podcast into disarray. The guys attempt to discuss the Olympics. They conclude the podcast talking about God’s originating work of creation.

Eric and Tyler reminisce a little bit about their football playing days. Eric believes that there is a conspiracy going on with the Olympics and the medal count. They include the episode by talking about the gospel and God’s plan. How does God‘s plan affect our lives today and is God‘s plan changeable? As we continue our series in the upper room from John’s Gospel, we pick up today in chapter 14. Jesus tells his followers not to be troubled because he goes and prepare a place for us and reminds the reader that the place that he prepares for us he will be present in. That is our great hope that for eternity Jesus will be with us.

Eric and Tyler introduce a new theme song, while they talk about Eric’s current obsession with making music through undisclosed ways. Finally they talk about the Lord Supper from a pastoral perspective.

As we continue examining, Jesus is teaching from the upper room, we come to this text where Jesus exhorts his followers to not let their hearts be troubled. Throughout all of the gospel of John we have seen the testimony that Jesus is the Son of God. That is the emphasis of why we should live without troubled hearts.
