(Ep 26) The Main Barriers That are Holding You Back from Living Your Dharma

What may be holding your back from FULLY stepping into your Dharma? You may already be climbing your next mountain, but how can you “speed up” the journey to the summit? Join me this week as I discuss some of the barriers and roadblocks that may be keeping you from fully living and embodying your Dharma. I also introduce more context behind what Dharma is and a deeper meaning that drives why understanding and following our Dharma is what keeps the world in balance and harmony.  I breakdown the episode in 3 different sections: 1 - More context and knowledge around around Dharma 2 - The barriers or roadblocks that may be keeping you from FULLY living your Dharma 3 - Ways you can remove these blocks and barriers Key Takeaways: We are meant to keep a fixed gaze on our Dharma. When doing so, we are able to feel a sense of purpose and trust, and know that where we are, is exactly where we’re meant to be. Dharma is less so what you DO for your profession, it’s how you participate and operate in life as it relates to yourself and others, and how, what, and where you choose to direct your energy.  Listen to your intuition, tap into your inner truth, what is that gut instinct trying to tell you? What will make YOU happy? Not your EGO happy, but deep down, what would make your SOUL HAPPY? I included a quote from Michael Jordan into this week’s episode again!  “I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.” ~Michael Jordan Connect with Kaycee, Host of Hello Flow Podcast Website: https://www.hello-flow.co/  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/helloflowcollective/  Donate to Maui In 2023, the beautiful island of Maui experienced devastating wildfires that is considered the most deadliest and destructive in modern US history. (Ep 25) Be a Leadership Athlete & Create Options as CEO of your Career, w/ Executive Coach, Dr. Mike Smith

In this week’s episode, I reconnect with a former colleague of mine, Dr. Mike Smith, to talk about how we should all look at ourselves as leadership athletes & the CEO of our own career. Dr. Mike Smith is the Founder of Huddle Advisory, a firm that guides leaders & teams to their “Leadership Athlete” potential. Mike founded Huddle after 25+ years in sports & entertainment working with the NFL, NBC, & Deloitte. His unique background includes leadership roles in Human Resources, Finance, Technology, & Administration. He has been repeatedly tapped to lead the most important initiatives ranging from creating a coaching culture at the NFL to Super Bowl weather planning to NBC’s acquisition of Universal. Having been both a CHRO & CFO, Mike has a special lens to align business & talent strategy. He guides leaders & teams through skilled inquiry, objective data analysis, & practical counsel. His diversified background allows him to work effectively with public company CEO’s, startup founders, & rising talent across consumer-facing and B2B industries. Mike recently completed his Doctoral degree in Leadership & Learning at Vanderbilt University. He received his executive coaching education at Columbia University & is certified in a number of leadership assessment tools. Key Takeaways: The importance of talent mobility - careers are employee driven & manager supported. You are the Chief Executive of yourself & your own career. Declare what you want, why you want it, & how it’s good for the organization. Hold a mirror up to yourself, & get a clear sense of how people are perceiving you, how you are showing up, what your strengths are, & what are your blind spots. Determine these so you can see the entire field clearly. Ask people & mentors for advice & to be candid with you - when do they see you at your best & when do they see you not playing to your strengths. Constantly try to learn, grow, see what’s working, what’s not. It’s a cycle of revising that never ends. When taking a pause, step back & re-evaluate where you are, what’s important, & how you want to show up in service of others or to benefit others are around you. Growth comes from the recovery, your muscles grow back stronger. Think about your personal growth & development the same way as your own work performance. If you are thinking about taking a career pivot, identify your “fadeaway jumper” (Michael Jordan) that you are developing, & how do you develop it months or even years in advance, so if and when you make the pivot, you run through it with full confidence. You are the CEO of your own career. Make it easy on people, tell people what you want, why you want it, why it’s good for the organization, & start with a conversation. Declare what’s your ambition & what you’re looking for, have people view you in a new light. You have to marry up strong performance with navigating & creating your own options, including networking & building strong relationships. Relational Leadership Theory - all about the power of relationships, communication, & collaboration in order to achieve a result. (Ep 24) What Dharma Represents and The Four Goals of Life through the Lens of Ayurveda

How do we achieve true freedom and happiness in a world where it is not only normal, but encouraged and celebrated to constantly pursue and achieve life and career goals? Listen in as I discuss the four aims of life through the lens of Ayurveda, and how Dharma fits in all of it. I re-visit career and Dharma and introduce two other goals of life.  Key Takeaways: According to Ayurveda, there are four goals in life - Artha (prosperity and economic values), Kama (seeking joy, pleasure, and experiences), Dharma (career, self-expression, moral values), and Moksha (freedom and liberation). Dharma is not just career, it’s a career that provides us meaning and that is of service to something greater than ourselves. It also reflects our moral values, represents our higher ego, allows us to achieve self-realization, and more. Artha, Kama, and Dharma are all goal-seeking pursuits that the vast majority of us focus on. However, to achieve true peace and happiness, Moksha should be our primary goal of life. (Ep 21) Part 2 of 2: How to Identify Your Natural Gifts and Strengths - Metaphysical Systems

We continue last week’s review of Identifying your Natural Gifts and Strengths with a focus this week on Metaphysical Systems. What gifts and talents were you born with and meant to share with the world? What’s the difference between Modern Assessments and Metaphysical Systems as it relates to your gifts and natural talents? Similar to last week’s episode, I share my personal chart elements and weave together common threads when I compare my results from the modern assessments.  Tune in this week to hear all about your North Node (your destiny and what you are meant to grow and evolve into in this lifetime), as well as your Midheaven (your career and how you present yourself to the world) in Western Astrology. I also continue to review the Human Design system and share parts of my chart focusing on the gifts of Gates and Channels.  Key Takeaways: Instead of relying on self-reported answers, metaphysical systems typically rely on a fixed input, likely your birth information. And not just your birth date, but your birth location and the exact time you were born - not rounded up or down, but down to the minute. In SOME instances, say Numerology, your birth name is also used in the running of the numbers and analysis. Metaphysical systems are often developed from cultures around the world, centuries-old frameworks, and withstand the test of time.  Think of your North Node as what you are here to evolve, learn lessons around and GROW INTO in this lifetime. It is NORMAL to feel uncomfortable in your North Node because it doesn’t come natural for you. For the North Node, you have a corresponding South Node, and what the South Node tells you is the kind of energy you brought into the world with from previous lifetimes. It’s the energy that you are VERY comfortable in and you’ve already MASTERED - - because we’ve already leaned into this aspect of ourselves in previous lifetimes, that in this lifetime, we perhaps are leaning too much into it, that we fall into the lower expressions. Your Midheaven is about how you present yourself out in the world AND it represents your gifts and legacy related to your career, interests, and public persona in general. It is what others can rely on you for and what you offer to the world.  Human Design is a complex and extremely fascinating system that looks at how our energy works and operates on the physical plane - - not just what you normally think energy is like energy levels, but also your aura and your energetic vibes that you give off AND receive from others. The system also covers an extensive amount of and very specific and detailed personality traits and characteristics including your many energetic gifts.  These exercises and frameworks that help you identify your gifts and strengths are meant to be empowering and eye-opening as you discover what you are here to offer to the world and how you can leverage your natural gifts in service to others - - with service and Dharma being inextricably connected - identifying and offering your gifts to the world IS part of your Dharmic Path and soul’s purpose. © 2024 Hello Flow Collective Listen to Part 1 of 2: How to Identify Your Natural Gifts and Strengths - Modern Assessments Apple Spotify Run Your Natal (Western Astrology) and Human Design Charts for Free Western Astrology  Human Design Free Human Design Resource Library Human Design Chart Elements Schedule a Free Human Design Consult Book a Human Design Reading Connect with Kaycee, Host of Hello Flow Podcast Email Instagram Work with Kaycee Donate to Maui In 2023, the beautiful island of Maui experienced devastating wildfires that is considered the most deadliest and destructive in modern US history. (Ep 20) Part 1 of 2: How to Identify Your Natural Gifts and Strengths - Modern Assessments

Ever wonder what your true gifts are, what you are here to leverage, hone in on and offer to the world - - not only professionally, but also across the personal aspects of your life? Join me in Part 1 of a 2-part series around identifying your natural gifts and strengths, and how you can use different approaches, assessments, and systems to create your own personal canvas of gifts, strengths, and traits that you can use across your professional and personal life. In this episode, I go over 2 of the 4 approaches. I share my own personal results from some of these assessments, and how you can start extrapolating insights even from an initial starting point by taking free assessments on your own online. I had a lot of fun putting together this series, so I hope you find it fun and insightful just as much as I did recording it!  Key Takeaways: There are 4 different approaches + a final integrated view when identifying your natural gifts and strengths. Those 4 approaches include self-reflection + community feedback, modern assessments, metaphysical systems, and gifts outside of skills and traits. A journal prompt that most people don’t think about when identifying their gifts and strengths is thinking about your ancestry and family lineage - what gifts and talents run in your family and bloodline that you can learn about and examine? There are so many personality tests out there that you can take (many for free!) - a key reminder is that these modern assessments are all self-reflections based on how we view ourselves, or how we feel, at the moment we take the test. Use what empowers you, as well as information that can give you a different perspective of yourself that you’re willing to explore further. Make sure to tune into Part 2 of this 2-Part Series next week when I bring in metaphysical systems and how we can integrate those insights with this week’s episode!  Personality Tests Myers-Briggs: https://www.myersbriggs.org/my-mbti-personality-type/take-the-mbti-instrument/  Enneagram: https://www.enneagraminstitute.com  Sparketype Assessment (*this one’s free!): https://sparketype.com  Platform to take Free Personality Tests & Career Quizzes: https://www.truity.com/page/personality-tests-and-career-quizzes  Connect with Kaycee, Host of Hello Flow Podcast Email: [email protected]  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/helloflowcollective/  Work with Kaycee:  https://www.hello-flow.co/offerings  Donate to Maui In 2023, the beautiful island of Maui experienced devastating wildfires that is considered the most deadliest and destructive in modern US history. (Ep 19) Exploring Career and Personal Alignment through Human Design, with Dana Stiles and Shayna Cornelius Nichols of DayLuna

Welcome Back To Hello Flow! Welcome back to the Hello Flow Podcast. Today I’m interviewing Dana Stiles and Shayna Cornelius who are the Human Design experts, best-selling authors, spiritual teachers, and podcast hosts behind DayLunaTM. As co-founders and owners of their company, they are on a mission to empower the collective towards self-love, personal freedom, and radical authenticity. Meeting in college over 14 years ago, together they have experienced many beautiful adventures, including their spiritual awakening. When Dana and Shayna discovered Human Design, just before their Saturn Returns, they were both working in corporate/traditional careers. They were trying to fit into the homogenized world, exhausting their energy, feeling a longing for something more, and passionately studying spirituality in their free time. During their journeys, Shayna and Dana heard about Human Design and when they began learning about their own unique designs (they are both 2/4 Projectors!), the powerful revelations they discovered became a catalyst that radically changed every aspect of their lives. (Ep 17) Three Things You Can Do to Manage Your Time Better and Create Greater Impact

Start the new year with a smooth transition by managing your time (and your energy) more effectively. Tune in to hear the three things you can start today to create greater impact in your life - for yourself, for your family and community, and people and teams you lead every day.  Key questions to ask yourself when managing your time: Think of how you want to design your life as a whole pie - - how many slices are there that you are designing your life around, what is the “flavor” for each slide, and what size is each slice? Instead of “What do I have Time for?” ask yourself “What do I have the Energy for?” What are those things that take up space and time that’s hindering your progress or blocking you from better managing your time, energy, and priorities?  Quotes on Time Management from Stephen Covey, Author of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People “Most of us spend too much time on what is urgent and not enough time on what is important.” “The key is not to prioritize what’s on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities.” Related Hello Flow Pod Episodes (Ep. 11) Understanding the Root of Burnout and Preventing it with Psychotherapist and Burnout Coach, Siobhan Murray Apple Spotify YouTube (Ep. 14) Setting Resolutions, Goal Planning, and Building Momentum into 2024 Apple  Spotify  Productivity Planner https://www.intelligentchange.com/products/productivity-planner  Connect with Kaycee, Host of Hello Flow Podcast Email: [email protected]  Instagram: @helloflowcollective Work with Kaycee:  https://www.hello-flow.co/offerings  Donate In 2023, the beautiful island of Maui experienced devastating wildfires that is considered the most deadliest and destructive in modern US history. (Ep 16) Creating Your Own Luck and Evolving as a Creative, with the Legendary DJ Neil Armstrong

Welcome Back To Hello Flow! Welcome back to the Hello Flow Podcast. Today I have Neil Armstrong on to talk about creating your own luck and evolving as a creative. Born & raised in NYC, DJ Neil Armstrong turned his love of music and hip hop culture into a career that has allowed him to play music for the masses all over the world.  Neil initially gained notoriety for his mixtape projects, which showcased his DJ skills as well as his vast eclectic knowledge of music. These highly regarded mixtapes generated considerable press – and they often became the soundtrack of choice for many in the streetwear/fashion/music industry. Neil held down the turntables for the televised 9/11 tribute at Madison Square Garden, and performed in front of 120,000 plus at the Glastonbury Festival in England.
