the greatest in the kingdom of heaven is the one most in need who has repented of his sin and has been forgiven by Jesus who is the greatest.

Peter is rebuked for setting his mind in the things of ma. And is blinded to the power of the resurrection.

Jesus is the rock upon which the church is built and who sends us out in to world as his little stones.

When the wind is against you where can you turn for help except God himself?

It can be hard to describe what the kingdom of heaven is because we have seen nothing like it before. But by his death and resurrection Jesus shows us exactly what the kingdom of heaven it, a kingdom of forgiveness, life, and salvation.

Why do the wheat and the weeds grow up together. It if for your good that you may repent and live in Christ’s righteousness.

many hearts are irreconcilably opposed to the word of the kingdom, but God is able to reconcile us to himself through the blood of Jesus.

Jesus sent out his disciples to do the work that he was doing.

Every holiday is a Memorial Day of sorts when we remember the night works of God among us. On Pentecost we remember how he has redeemed us and sends us out to share the good news.

Do not be surprised when suffering comes your way, Jesus also suffered. The real surprise is that he rose again and gives you the victory.

“If you love me you will keep my commandments” because we have received the spirit of truth, these words are a joy and encouragement to show our love for him who first loved us.

Everyone is looking for something. Whatever you’re looking for Jesus is the answer because he takes your sin away.

Jesus was given his name when he was circumcised. He entered a covenant with a people and received an identity. Our identity is now found in this Jesus who was cut off for us.

In the beginning was the Word…and the Word became flesh. There is so much wonder at Christmas, the greatest wonder of all is that you have believed Jesus is the Christ, by the power of his Word.

Joseph resolved to divorce Mary quietly. He thought it was the right thing to do but his resolve changed after he was visited by an angel. Jesus resolutely came to save you, and his resolve does not waver.

Rejoice is the lord always, again I will say, rejoice. But how can we rejoice always?

As we begin another advent season we expect for the Lord to come again. We don’t know when he will come but we live trusting that he will come as he has before, with mercy and full salvation.

On the Last Sunday of the church year we discover where we truly and and where we begin. Centered around the death and resurrection of Jesus.

When is the end? The end is now but not yet. The end has come before and will come again. But when it comes straighten up and raise your head, for your redemption is drawing near.

These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. They are the saints of the past, present, and future whose robes have been made white in the blood of the Lamb.

Two men went up to pray, one came down justified. The sacrifices pleasing to God are those of children who trust their Father.

As Jesus passed along between Galilee and Samaria he met people on the fringes, he showed mercy and makes us well.

I have set before you life and death. Life is good so choose life. It’s the life God chose for you.

Where you sit matters, and Jesus has invited you to come up and sit with him at his table.

Where have you come from? Strive to enter through the narrow door.

Jesus said, “I came to cast fire on the earth” this fire is God’s righteous judgement that purifies our souls by faith in the risen Lord.

Colossians 3:1-11 encourages us to live in our baptisms by seeking the thing above, not the things on earth. For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ.

As students we ask our teacher, teach us to pray. But prayer is easier than we think, so let us pray.

When Jesus visits Mary and Martha both sister worship the Lord. One by service and the other by receiving, one thing is needed and will not be taken away.

The parable of the Good Samaritan shows that a neighbor is one who shows mercy, even as Jesus has shown mercy to us by taking personal responsibility for us and our sin, not with empty words but in deed and truth.

Jesus sends out the 72 with many challenges, but they are victorious because their names are written in heaven.

Jesus prayed that we may be one. In this world it would not appear that we are one, but we are in fact one because Jesus loves us.

The one seated on the throne said, “behold, I am making all thugs new.” But what does it mean for us to be new? What’s new becomes old and dies in this work, but Christ is risen from the dead. In them we are a new creation. In him the old becomes new. The dead are raised. Sinners are forgiven.
