ep.10 Confession is Scary, But Worth It

In this episode, Alyese and I get very real about a deep issue we have dealt with alone for a long time. BUT this is a testimony of FREEDOM! God is so faithful that He doesn't leave us to struggle alone. This is the testimony of how God freed me from shame, crippling fear, and a 20-year addiction to pornography. This is a story of how ONLY GOD can do something that felt so impossible. The best part is walking through this with brothers and pastoral leadership who hold me accountable and safeguard me from my own sinful flesh. We are not meant to walk alone. We are the Body of Christ TOGETHER. We are forever grateful for the people God has placed in our life to lift us up when we feel like we can't. It is my prayer that this brings hope, courage, and freedom to those struggling in secret. GOD IS FIGHTING FOR YOU. ep.9 When Life Gets Heavy, What Do You Do?

In this episode, we get vulnerable and talk about the failures we have had in this area of busyness and heaviness of life. Alyese talks about a recent struggle she had in this area in her own life and how dark it got in secret before she surrendered to God. Life will inevitably get busy. In those seasons, do we run to God? Or do we run to everything else? We talk about the importance of running to God with our life because we can't carry the weight of it on our own shoulders. We may think we can live our life on our own for a while, but eventually it will bury us and we will find ourselves running to things we didn't want to be doing. The devil will always offer counterfeit comfort, peace, joy, but it always delivers emptiness and bondage. Only Jesus can truly give us those things and help us carry the weight of our life in a way that will seem impossible to those around us.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/holy-fire-with-miguel-and-alyese-carmona/donations

    ep.8 Warfare in the Womb

In this episode, we talk about the spiritual warfare we experienced during Alyese's third pregnancy. There are two major events of attacks and the victory that was won with Jesus. One attack was more spiritual and the other was more physical. We talk about the tactics the enemy used and the lessons God taught us as He brought us the victory. Even though we talk about demonic attacks in this episode, never forget that the devil is DEFEATED. We have the upper hand because Jesus is with us! Let this be a wake up call for everyone to stand and fight against the devil for your loved ones, Jesus is with you!Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/holy-fire-with-miguel-and-alyese-carmona/donations

    ep.7 Before Being a Minister, I am a Son

In this episode, Alyese and I talk about how God has been healing my heart from the pain caused by the absence of my dad in my life. I finally begin being honest with God and myself about the pain, and God touched my heart, in real time, in this episode. He really is the best Father ever. God cares so much more than we know. We also talked about how God has made it very clear that the anointing and ministry He gives us is fueled by His grace, not our performance. As the Word says, our "good deeds" are but filthy rags. I pray this episode brings healing to your heart and rest to your soul. Your Father loves you.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/holy-fire-with-miguel-and-alyese-carmona/donations

    ep.6 Bringing Home a Newborn

In this episode, we talk about what it was like to bring our first little girl home almost 10 years ago. We talk about the different experiences between our first and second child. We touch on the reality of what it was like going through difficult seasons back then, without Jesus, vs now with Jesus. We look at how God has really become our strength in life, in comparison to the past, when we had no direction as young parents. I thank God everyday for leading us to Himself when we were looking for answers everywhere else. Only Jesus provided what the world and every other religion and spiritual practice couldn't; freedom, peace, wisdom, joy, strength, and purpose. Thank you, Jesus!Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/holy-fire-with-miguel-and-alyese-carmona/donations

ep.5 Every Child Has a Purpose

In this episode, we talk about the importance of each of our children and discuss how each child has a purpose in life, including us adults. Many people feel like they have no purpose or like they're just here by chance or by accident but that is not true. God has you here for a reason and He has specific plans for your life. ep.4 Preparation for Marriage | Godly wife and Godly Husband

In this episode, we talk about what it looked like for us to prepare for marriage from the ages of 19-21. We discuss what our foundation was at the time and the wisdom God has taught us as time went by. It is up to the man to lead the marriage and not only set the standard, but also live by that standard that God has commanded for marriages. If you want a good, strong, GODLY marriage, there has to be a daily humbling of yourselves and a genuine, sacrificial love for each other. We talk about what it actually looks like to be a godly wife, a Proverbs 31 wife. We also discuss how God uses wives to build up their husbands to be strong men of God, as is the case in our marriage. The wife has the power to build up her husband or tear him down. I wouldn't be the man I am today if it wasn't for Alyese and all she has done for me.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/holy-fire-with-miguel-and-alyese-carmona/donations

ep.3 God Used Our Imperfect Beginning

In this episode we talk about the early days of our relationship; how we met, dating in high school and what led up to our engagement. We also talk about the hurt that we brought into this relationship and how we dealt with it. We discuss how we had a semi solid foundation with the principals we had but eventually God showed us the correct way to live our life, founded on Him.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/holy-fire-with-miguel-and-alyese-carmona/donations

    ep.2 Identity vs Performance

In this episode, we talk about the importance of knowing our identity. We talk about the struggles we go through when we do things from a place of needing acceptance and approval from others, rather that from who God says we are. We talk about what it looks like to heal our trauma with the Word of God and begin to accept God's words and promises for our life. The devil will always question and attack our identity. He will use our pain and traumas from the past, but God brings healing and restoration. So, will we fall for the devil's lies? Or, will we stand firm in who God says we are?Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/holy-fire-with-miguel-and-alyese-carmona/donations

ep.1 Why Holy Fire? A Family Set Apart for Christ

In this episode, we talk about what Holy Fire means to our family. We discuss what it means to be set apart from the world as a family. God doesn't want us to be separate for the sake of isolation. It is preparation for a high calling from God.
