Kingdom School, Session 11: "Which Denomination is the True Kingdom Church?"
There are 45,000 denominations of Christianity as of today. They predict by 2050 there will be 64,000. Friends, this is a sad sign of a fractured church. And to give you perspective, in the year 1800 there were 500 denominations.Which one of these churches are the true Kingdom of God church? If you have listened to me any length of time, you know where I am heading right now…to the words of our Savior, Jesus Christ. He alone is our Source and our faithful Foundation. If we want to know the Truth we must know Jesus.“You have elevated your tradition above the words of God. (Then quoting from Isaiah 29) These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. They worship Me in vain, their teachings are merely human rules.”Then Jesus turned to the people and said,“Come, Listen and Open your heart to understand…”Matthew 15:6-10God’s Kingdom has come. It is living and flourishing on earth. To be operating in the Kingdom of God is to understand the gift of Jesus Christ. He brought us back to the heart of the Father. We can now know the mind of Christ and the LOVE of the Father through the Holy Spirit. The church is the gathering of the Kingdom on earth and we respond to Jesus above all else. The true Kingdom church has the inward fire of relationship with Jesus always burning. Jesus is calling us, “Come to Me. Listen to My words. Open your heart to understand.”So, which denomination looks like this? Before we gathered as a church for the first time in the upper room in Acts 1:14, Jesus gave us the answer in Matthew, chapter 25. In the parables and teachings of this chapter, He leads us to the Truth of who we are.#1 Jesus teaches us that the Kingdom of God can be compared to ten maidens with individual oil lamps. The ten maidens are representative of believers on earth, living natural lives as Christians. (Please read Matthew 25:1-13).Five were ready and waiting for the bridegroom, Jesus, to return. They were expectant. Their lives were filled with His precious gift of the Holy Spirit. They were acquainted with His navigation in every area of their lives.Five were nominal (in name only) Christians and unprepared. The Truth that Jesus spoke didn’t motivate them. They took lightly His gift of the Holy Spirit and followed their own voice. They possessed a lamp of outward faith, but had no inward fire of relationship. When the time came for the Bridegroom to call, five responded to Him immediately and joined Him. The other five were in the dark. That is where they stayed…It is a sobering parable. It is not a story representing the believers and the unbelievers. These are two groups of Christians. The message Jesus has for us now is this: Position yourself in daily expectation. Every word He spoke will come to pass.Value His precious gift of the Holy Spirit. Let Him navigate every area of your life.Focus your heart on the King. Focus on His perspective, His purpose, His movement, and His mind. Have the heart of the Shepherd in the center of your radar.Where He goes, you go. When He rests, you rest. When He speaks, you listen. When He calls, you run to Him. Encountering Him in every season is your purpose.#2 Then, in Matthew chapter 25, Jesus teaches the parable of the talents. (Please read Matthew 25:14-30)This is a parable about several servants being given individual treasures by a King. They could manage the financial treasure-gift any way they wanted. The first two doubled the treasure by investing it. The third received it, never used it, and hid it away for fear of losing it.Jesus has given you and I the greatest treasure ever given to humanity. It is access to an intimate, personal relationship with God as Beloved Father. The question to every believer is, “What did you do with it?”His heart is your treasure. Your heart is His treasure. When we invest time in prayer, we invest the treasure of personal relationship with the Creator of all that is seen and unseen. Every moment spent under His counsel increases our intimacy with Him.#3 Finally, in Chapter 25, we find Jesus’ final teaching before the account of His crucifixion and resurrection. He answers our question, “Which denomination is the true Kingdom Church?” :“When the Son of Man (Jesus Christ) appears in His majestic glory, with all His angels by His side, He will take His seat on His throne of splendor, and all the nations will be gathered together before Him.And like a shepherd who separates the sheep from the goats, He will separate all the people. The ‘sheep’ He will put on His right side and the ‘goats’ on His left. Then the King will turn to those on His right and say, ‘You have a special place in My Father’s heart. Come and experience the full inheritance of the Kingdom Realm that has been destined for you from the foundation of the world! For when you saw Me hungry, you fed Me. When you found Me thirsty, you gave Me something to drink. When I had no place to stay, you invited Me in, and when I was poorly clothed, you covered Me. When I was sick, you tenderly cared for Me, and when I was in prison you visited Me…When you cared for one of the least important of these My little ones, my true brothers and sisters, you demonstrated love for Me. ‘ ”Matthew 25: 31-36,40The denomination Jesus calls the true Kingdom church is called…”His Sheep”. It is not a building, it is a heart posture inside an individual. There are possible “sheep” in every named Christian denomination on earth. His Sheep are fully attuned to the King Shepherd. His Sheep have an open heart to intimate, personal relationship. So much so, they “see” Him in all humanity because Jesus’ heart is toward every man and woman. His Sheep are responsive to His heart.Note:Jesus did not mention,Groups of more esteemed sheep…“Types” of sheep or “subdivisions” of sheep…Certain sheep having more favor because of historical or traditional continuity…Sheep being rewarded for keeping bad sheep out of their pens…More “intellectually superior” sheep…A certain branded sheep accepted because they were born to be pre-destined for God’s favor…Sheep wearing bands of approval because of miracles and other sheep recognized for following them…Jesus clearly said in John 10:27, “My sheep hear My voice and I know them, and they follow Me.” Goats follow themselves. We let His Word pierce our hearts with light.“Open your heart and consider My words. Watch out that you do not mistake your opinions for revelation-light. If your SPIRIT burns with light (the five maidens responsive and filled with the light of relationship) fully illuminated with no trace of darkness, you will be a shining lamp, reflecting rays of truth by the way you live.”Luke 11: 35-36 TPTThe original blueprint of a church that changed the world is found in Acts 2:42. “They devoted themselves to the Word (Jesus’ teachings passed on by His followers), to fellowship with one another, to the breaking of bread together, and to prayer.”The Holy Spirit teaches through the letter of Paul to the Thessalonians:“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (NKJV)“Let joy be your continual feast. Make your life a prayer. And in the midst of everything be always giving thanks, for this is God’s perfect plan for you in Christ Jesus.” (TPT)1 Thessalonians 5:16-18The perfect will of God. Read that again. The true church of God’s Kingdom is knowing Jesus and knowing the Father-the One who is all Light and Love and Life and Truth. It is the gathering of hearts on earth who have individually positioned themselves under the KING’S heart. His church is a place of rest, inside perfect love, through the knowledge of Jesus Christ. His church moves in the freedom of the Holy Spirit who has released us and continues to release us from spiritual ignorance (darkness). Kingdom church is positioning ourselves daily, individually and as a community, right in the middle of our God.Our lifestyle is communion with Jesus and prayer.Prayer releases denominational divisions as we cry out together as one, “Our Father!”The Jewel of JesusThe kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all that he had and bought that field.Matthew 13:44 NIVThe priceless “treasure” found in the parable of Matthew 13:44 is one-on-one prayer with our loving God… anytime, anywhere. And Matthew 6: 9-13 is the JEWEL of prayer.Jesus teaches us to “go into your innermost chamber and be alone with Father God, praying to Him in secret” (Matthew 6:9). The innermost part of your being is your heart….your soul. He teaches us our position of prayer is relational, sincere, and humble. The Aramaic word for prayer that Jesus used when He taught His listeners was “Slatha” and the root of that word means to “capture”. We must be still and open as we “capture” His Presence in prayer. We “capture” His goodness, His thoughts, His Counsel. It is a beautiful study to look at the Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6: 9-13) in Aramaic. Jesus spoke Aramaic to the people. They translated His words to Greek because, like English is today, it was the universal language. Then they translated it to Latin and finally English. When there is an incomplete translation, we can get the wrong impression of God.“Our Father” (Matthew 6:9) in Aramaic means Our Beloved, our Perfect Parent who cares so well for us, our Source of Life. When we say “our” we instantly become equal brothers and sisters in perfect unity. There is no higher one who can look down on another. We are bowing before Him at the same level. Jesus is positioning us in prayer…under our loving Father. You are a beloved child. Rest. Sit in your beautiful identity. Humility is rest.“Who art in Heaven” (Matthew 6:9) makes it seem like God is so far from us separated by space and time in another world. The original language does not mean this. The Aramaic could be translated like this: “God, Who dwells within and beyond all things in the realm of Light from which all life flows.” We position ourselves under the ever-present God. He is the Creator of all that is seen and unseen. Where there is Light and Life, God is working.Everything Jesus taught about the Kingdom of God during His time on earth is in the “Our Father” prayer. I am confident every one of those 45,000 denominations know His prayer, but not all have discovered the lamp burning within it. Jesus is adjusting us for relationship with the Father. He is showing us how to attune to the reality of God’s Kingdom on earth. It can be repeated word for word, but more than that, it is a structure to enter in and be aligned to the will of God.“Hallowed be Thy Name” (Matthew 6:9) reminds us where we live as a beloved child of God, under His Holy Name. The Passion Translation (TPT) translates the Aramaic like this: “May Your Name be the center on which our lives turn” (Matthew 6:9 TPT). God’s name is His bond. His name is His promise over you. His name and His words are inseparable and unbreakable. The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run into it and they are safe.Proverbs 18:10We are covered and protected with His powerful name. So much so, we are called by His name-children inherit the name of the Father. His name is our sacred dwelling place. We adjust our lives, and everything crazy in them, under the safety of His name and away from the burden of our own name. The purpose of our lives is to let everyone see that He covers us with His name. “Thy Kingdom Come” (Matthew 6:10) comes alive when we learn that “Kingdom” in Aramaic means “God’s Counsel”; God’s ways of doing and being right. Let your Way, your Life, your Truth, come and take over today! His Kingdom has come! Jesus has taught us God’s way of love, His justice, and His peace (authority). His wholeness (righteousness) has arrived through the cross and resurrection of the Son.His counsel has broken into this present reality! Our part is to position ourselves under the mighty Counsellor. You can also pray it like this, “Let Your Kingdom be seen, let it be known!”The Kingdom of God was always present with the people of God but they didn’t experience it. Jesus brought us the experience! That just makes me want to shout!Through Jesus, we have a personal relationship with God and His Kingdom.Through Jesus, we can see (the eyes of your heart are open to Him) the dynamics and the principles of God’s present Kingdom reality. “Thy Kingdom Come” is “now we have the mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2:16) ! Our posture in this prayer is to be present to God’s “possible”!Remember when Jesus said, “The Kingdom of God is expanding within some of you now” (Luke 17:21 TPT)? He is teaching us in this prayer to position ourselves under all of God’s counsel on Kingdom Truth… And you will experience the Kingdom of God.Some of those Kingdom truths are:You are cleansed by the blood of Jesus, not the law. You are forgiven. You have a peaceful and loving relationship with the Creator of the Universe. He calls you “beloved child” and you call Him “beloved Father”. You are accepted. You are translated from darkness to light, a new creation in Christ. You can hold in your heart wisdom and spiritual understanding. You are joined in life-union with Jesus. Rest. The long awaited Messiah lives inside of you. He knows your triumphs and difficulties. You hear His voice. The same Holy Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead has taken residence inside of you bringing life and salvation to every part of you. LIFE. LIFE. LIFE indwells you!We are lights in this world, right now. Jesus promised you darkness will never overcome that light. You are safe. His words fill us…there is no empty place they cannot fill.Jesus never leaves you and His own personal joy is yours. And so much more!HIS KINGDOM HAS COME!Join us for next session where we will continue to study the Lord’s Prayer with deeper insight into its ability to position us under the pure LIGHT of His Fatherhood, His perfect will for our lives, His mighty Name, His counsel, and unity as a family of God.Always honored to have you listen,Pastor TeresaHoly Ground Life with Teresa L. Kingdom School, Session 10: "The Light in God's Kingdom"
Before we begin, while preparing this session, God put a message in my heart for you. He is giving you this word: “The opinions of men mean so little to God”. I don’t know what you are going through but know that the opinions of people mean so little to our Heavenly Father. With man this is impossible, but with GOD all things are possible.Matthew 19:26This encouragement reminded me of Luke 10:39, the beginning of the story of Mary and Martha, one of my favorites. Mary was sitting under the light of the Son. She was sitting, basking in the revelation light of Jesus Christ, Who is the light of Truth, the light of God’s Anointed One. Martha was somewhere else. She was busy serving Jesus, but not listening to Him. And Martha had an opinion. She thought Mary should be doing what she was doing. “You should tell her to get up and help me”.“The opinions of men mean so little to God”.When we sit under the Word of God, we sit under the LIGHT of God’s Kingdom. Jesus’ words are the LIGHT of God’s Kingdom. When we sit under the opinions of men, we sit in darkness. Our own pride-filled opinions are also man’s opinion. Our goal, like Mary, is to choose to stay with Jesus and sit inside the LIGHT of every word He has spoken. We choose to let His words cover us. His words are bread and we eat them. When we do, they become a part of us and rest in the center of our being…becoming the LIGHT of the Kingdom within us!We don’t need to cook up our own opinions apart from Him. We can carry the light of His Words in our hearts to the whole world. We serve Him beautifully when we let His revelations shine in our own words and life.During our church prayer time this week God showed me something. Before Jesus came, the angels of God would carry His message to men and women. When they saw the angels they would fall on their faces awestruck. The brilliant light and their size must have been awesome to behold! Then, Jesus came as the Word of God made flesh. In the beginning was the Word. And the Word was God, and the Word was with God.(4) In Him was LIFE, and the LIFE was the LIGHT of men.(5) And the LIGHT shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.(14) And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the GLORY as of the only begotten of the Father, full of GRACE and TRUTH.John1:1,4-5,14Jesus is the entire Message of God. We have believed that wonderful Message. Now The Message lives inside our hearts. We KNOW it.Christ now lives in you. Romans 8:10ANDChrist in you, the hope of GLORY. Colossians 1:27The angels know this and now they fall down in worship in the presence of Jesus the Christ within you. The LIGHT of Heaven.Remarkably, when we speak the living Word of God, now the angels are dispatched to bring it to pass. Jesus’ words are alive in you. Now, that is awesome!TRANSFORMATION AwarenessThe reality of your life containing HIS LIFE and LIGHT within, becomes a process of metamorphosis where His life transforms your life! For me to live IS CHRIST.Philippians 1:21Christ within is our source, our center, our purpose, our life-blood, our definition, our only Light. And His goodness and light has us undone. The righteousness of Jesus puts to death our own goodness. Our garments of identity have been replaced…they have disintegrated in the power of His LIGHT. Old beggars rags have dissolved in the LIGHT of the King’s wedding clothes and He dresses us with LIGHT.We are now living beyond what we ever deserved.Light has come and has taken dominion. We are worthy only because He is worthy. When we are His, we are unable to call anything our own.And this is the true fear of the Lord. We couldn’t live without Him.Jesus said,For when you look at Me you are seeing the One who sent Me. I have come as a LIGHT into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness.John 12:45-46The LIGHT of the Father transformed the flesh of the Son. Living in Jesus means living by believing Him and not living under the opinions of the world, which are wrapped in spiritual darkness. Living in the LIGHT of Jesus transforms our flesh. He has delivered us completely from the tyrannical rule of darkness and has translated us into the kingdom realm of His beloved Son.Colossians 1:13Isn’t this the greatest news? We can rest in His LIGHT and truth. This is the life-giving message we heard Him share and its still ringing in our ears. We now repeat His words to you: God is Pure Light. You will never find even a trace of darkness in Him.If we claim that we share life with Him, but keep walking in the realm of darkness, we’re fooling ourselves and not living in the Truth. But if we keep living in the pure light that surrounds Him, we share unbroken fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, continually cleanses us from all sin.1 John 1:5-7 TPTLet us be those who walk only in the Light of Jesus’ Message…not our own opinions. When we do there is unity and purity in everything we do.I heard the Holy Spirit whisper to me in prayer, “Will you chase the dawn or the darkness?”Then, I saw the sun go down and a person waiting in the darkness, alone. They were cold and shivering. Their heart was troubled because of the unknown in the dark. When the light came up in the morning, they were so relieved. Only, to repeat the same cycle.I also saw that it was possible to follow the SON. I saw that when the dawn came, they could follow the LIGHT forever. There would never be darkness if they stayed close to the SON.When we chase the darkness we are living in doubt, unbelief, believing God’s face has turned from us. There is a separation mentality of feeling too broken, too far gone, not good enough. We are afraid of what could happen. We are waiting for the next bad thing to happen. We beg God in prayer, forgetting who we are. But, believer, when we chase the dawn we share our life with Jesus and the LIGHT of the world takes over our life-experience. “His life was the LIGHT of men”.Jesus gave us a covering, His own covering, that darkness cannot overcome. (Isaiah 61:10) It allows you to fly on the wings of dawn.Listen to this Word of LIGHT for you, personally :Rise up in splendor and be radiant, for your light has dawned, and Yahweh’s GLORY now steams from you!Look carefully! Darkness blankets the earth, and thick clouds covers the nations, but Yahweh arises upon you and the brightness of His GLORY appears over you!Nations will be attracted to your radiant light and kings to the sunrise-GLORY of your new day. Lift up your eyes higher! Look all around you and believe for your sons are returning from far away and your daughters are being tenderly carried home. Watch as they all gather together, eager to come back to you! Then you will see with understanding and be radiant. Your heart will be thrilled and swell with joy.Isaiah 60 :1-5 TPTWhen Isaiah prophesied this message, he had you in mind; the believer who has Jesus Christ living within. “Yahweh’s glory now streams from you”. Jesus spoke these words over you, “He that believes in Me…out of your belly will flow rivers of living water” (John 7:38). Rivers of heaven’s Glory flowing from the throne of Jesus…within.Jesus said, “I am the LIGHT of the world, and those who embrace Me will experience life-giving LIGHT, and they will never walk in darkness.”John 8:12If darkness covers this world and Jesus is the LIGHT of the world, and we live in Him and through Him…darkness will never have a hold on us. The note for John 8:12 TPT states, “The Aramaic is “they will never be driven (pushed) by darkness”. Spiritual darkness does not push around the believer in Jesus. The Words of Jesus are His light covering. They are an umbrella of LIGHT over you.“Believe and cling to the LIGHT while I am with you, so that you will become children of the LIGHT.”After saying this, Jesus then entered the crowd and hid Himself from them.John 12:36 His flesh left them but He left them with His words. We still have them. They are “a light to our path” (Psalm 119:105). His words secured in our heart make us a LIGHT to the world. When it says in the verse from Isaiah above, “Then you will understand and be radiant” (Isaiah 60: 5) it means when we understand God’s words we have revelation light. Revelation LIGHT unveils an understanding of JESUS! And to understand Jesus is to have eyes to see the Kingdom of God on earth! If you abide (experience life) in My Word, you are My disciples (true believers) and you will KNOW the Truth and the Truth will make you free!—Jesus.John 8:31The narrow way is Jesus. The gateway of LIGHT is sitting, embracing, eating the Bread of Truth given by Jesus alone. Those who love the Truth will come into the LIGHT and welcome its exposure. For the LIGHT will reveal that is was GOD who produced their fruitful works.John 3:21The first result of living in the LIGHT of Jesus is holiness. His LIGHT disinfects us from sin. Our perfect works for Him become LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE with all, KINDNESS to all, showing the character of Jesus (GOODNESS) in our decisions, FAITHFULNESS, being GENTLE, and not being led by emotional storms…Spiritual Light breaks through ignorance, which is spiritual darkness. His wisdom flows. The Kingdom of God is fully immersed in the LIGHT of God, in heaven and on earth. This is how you know that you have crossed its borders. The earth and the sky will wear out and fade away before one Word I speak loses its power or fails to accomplish its purpose. Matthew 24:35ANDThe LIGHT shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:5ANDI have come as a LIGHT into the world. John 12:46You and I represent the LIGHT of the Kingdom of God. We are lamps that cannot be hidden. It is not a little Truth and it is not a little LIGHT! Carry His LIGHT-NESS into every atmosphere.Thank you for joining me. I hope this encouraged you. We encourage each other…light unto light,Pastor Teresa This is a public episode. Kingdom School, Session 9: "An Answer for Weariness"
Traveling through this world can be rocky. Yes, we are overcomers through Jesus who has covered us in His love. Yes, we have the Spirit of Resurrection and Holiness dwelling inside of us; the same Spirit that raised Jesus’ dead body from the grave giving us healing life. Yes, we are heirs of the King’s inheritance and we get to experience His life in us. But we also live in the space and time of a world that is weary and wearing out. Every Christian who hungers for the realities of heaven on earth will meet the resistance of the uncertain world we live in. “Lord, you formed the earth in the beginning and with Your own hands you crafted the cosmos. They will one day both disappear but you will remain forever! They will fade out like a worn-out garment, and they will be changed like clothes, and you will fold them up and put them away. But You are I AM. You never change, years without end!”Hebrews 1:10-12 TPTWe are seeing the world begin to tear at the seams and it’s foundations begin to crumble: fear, uncertainty, war, unstable financial foundations, breakout anger that is becoming more comfortable with confrontation, shame celebrated, what was up is down, what was down is up, broken homes, distrust over what is real, personal battles with the chaos of expectation….what is good, is bad and what is bad, is good. People are fighting but they don’t know what they are fighting for?The broken-ness of the natural world is beginning to swamp the boat of God’s Kingdom on earth…or is it?Let’s take a close look at the gospel of Mark chapter four. When weariness begins to close in, we must answer it with spiritual clarity. The gospels always reveal to us our own human heart.“Later that day, after it grew dark, Jesus said to His disciples, “Let’s cross over to the other side of the lake.”Suddenly, as they were crossing the lake, a ferocious tempest arose, with violent winds and waves that were crashing into the boat until it was all but swamped. But Jesus was calmly sleeping in the stern, resting on a cushion. They shook Him awake saying, “Teacher, don’t you even care that we are all about to die!”Fully awake, He rebuked the storm and shouted to the sea, “Peace Be Still!” All at once the wind stopped howling and the water became perfectly calm. Then He turned to His disciples and said to them, “Why are you so afraid? Where is your faith?”Mark 4: 35-40The broken natural realm was breaking over the boat. “Wake up! Where is Your promise , Lord? I can’t feel it! All I feel right now is the storm!”Jesus said, “We are going to the other side.” His Words must live inside of us. They must be more real than the broken storms that come against us. His Words must be the reality we rest in. This is faith. The natural realm will get so close we will be tempted to be afraid.Jesus also gave us this promise:“My own sheep will hear My voice and I know each one, and they will follow Me.I give them the gift of eternal life and they will never be lost and no one has the power to snatch them out of My hands. My Father, who has given them to Me as His gift, is the mightiest of all, and no one has the power to snatch them from My Father’s care. The Father and I are one.”John 10: 27-30 TPTYou are His sheep. You are safe. Forever. These Words must live in you. They are greater than what your body is screaming. They are greater than what your soul (mind, will, emotions) are screaming. We speak in the storm to our body and soul, “You are safe.” We are safe from the enemy of God who works in the storm to pry away our agreement with God’s good promise. He roams around the trouble, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). He has no teeth. It is only your agreement with “God has left you alone” that gives him teeth. We stay in the care of God’s promise.“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for You alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.”Psalm 4:8“You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in you.”Isaiah 26:3You alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. Do you believe this? Will you let this live inside of you?“Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on Him to guide you and He will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with Him in whatever you do, and He will lead you wherever you go. Don’t think for a moment you know-it-all, for wisdom comes when you adore Him with undivided devotion and avoid everything that is wrong.”Proverbs 3:5-7 TPTWeariness comes when we battle with our own wisdom and opinions. You can look at the storms as a trusting child under the care of a good Father or as a teenager. If you have ever been a teenager, raised a teenager, or have been acquainted with one, you know that with the little knowledge they gain, they believe they know it all. In Mark 10: 17-27 we read of a teenager who believed he could literally save himself by being good at following the law. Jesus invited him to “Sell all you have and follow Me.” The teenager turned the invitation down and walked away. His goodness was destined to falter and there was most certainly a storm of uncertainty in his future. He would realize he needed the One who was good. Our broken-ness is healed by Jesus’ goodness. Only Jesus, not our own. When we find ourselves in the middle of the storm, we get through it by returning to our entire heart-trust in Him.The disciples chose to battle the storm with what they knew, and as a result, they experienced the full power of the storm. They were afraid and their faith was lost.Jesus said,“If you really knew God, you would listen, receive, and respond with faith to His words.”“I speak to you an eternal truth: whoever cherishes My words and keeps them will never experience death.”John 8: 47 and 51These promises will combat all fear. The fear of death is the foundation to all fear. When sheep are afraid of a threat they make terrible decisions. When a wolf comes near, they gather together so it can attack them all at once. When there is moving water they drown immediately from fear. There was even a sheep found recently living in a cave who, in fear, had escaped the shearer and he almost died from the enormous weight of his sixty pound coat of wool.Jesus called us sheep. He also called Himself the Good Shepherd. He lays down His life at the gate to keep us safe. “You are getting to the other side. Do not be afraid.”Jesus gives us an answer for weariness in Matthew 11:28.“Come to Me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest.Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me.I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your weary soul.My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”This is an invitation to experience the rest of Jesus in the midst of a storm. Will you accept it? Our human nature wants to go to familiar human fear and experience the storm. Jesus gives us the gift of peace to live inside us. We now speak to the storm just like Jesus.“Through declaration Jesus’ internal reality became His external reality. The peace that was ruling in Him soon became that which was released to rule around Him. That is the nature of the Christian life. We give away what we have and, as we do, the world around us conforms. It is a superior kingdom.”— Bill Johnson, “Face to Face with God”The Message translation reads Matthew 11:28 like this: “Walk with Me and work with Me. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with Me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”Stay with Jesus. 2 Corinthians 10:5 teaches us to “cast down every high thought that exalts itself against the knowledge of God”. It is these thoughts, opinions, and fears that produce weariness in a believer’s life. The followers of Jesus said, ”Where would we go, Lord? You alone have the words of eternal life.” His words release the weariness of saving ourselves.Sit with Jesus.Mary of Bethany sat at Jesus’ feet and listened to His words. Jesus said “what was given to her would never be taken”. No one could snatch the revelations she absorbed in that position. His words came to live inside of her.Like the disciples, Mary went through a storm, but this was in her heart. She went through the chaos of heartbreak in the death of her brother. Her grief threatened to swamp her heart. She didn’t understand. But she returned to the feet of Jesus and sat down. “If you had been here my brother wouldn’t have died". She was going to the front of the boat and laying down her thoughts, opinions, and fears at the feet of Jesus. Jesus cried with her. His life joined her deep grief… and bore it.“All things are possible if you believe.” Lazarus rose. Her life rejoiced on the other side of the storm. Then came the dinner party days before Jesus’ death on the cross. He had told His followers but they didn’t believe He would have to die. He was King. King’s don’t die. But Mary held His words in her heart. She brought a jar of perfume that represented all her wealth, beauty, and life. She broke the jar at His feet. It was poured in preparation for His death and burial. Mary had been listening. She anointed Jesus with the eyes of her heart centered on His purpose and there, she found her own purpose. The house and neighborhood were filled with the scent of her sacrifice…her devotion. People asked what it was and they told them…the gospel was told and her name was in it.Stay focused on Jesus. Stay with your eyes on His cross and resurrection. Do not focus on disappointment. Never stay at the feet of disappointment. Never agree with the storm. Sit with Jesus. Stay with Jesus.Eat the bread of His Words. Hold His words in the center of your heart. Wear His garment. Until next time,Pastor TeresaHoly Ground Life with Teresa L. Kingdom School, Session 8: "Stillness and Joy"
You accepted His invitation from Revelation 3:20. He is seated at the table of your heart. Everything you need right now is at that table.Remember,“Your loving Father joyously gives you His Kingdom Realm with all its promises!” Luke 12:32 TPTGod’s Kingdom Realm is a superior reality. The battle with darkness was won in the beginning with light. The Spirit of God spoke over the darkness and LIGHT made a violent take over. It still does. We must not take for granted the power of light to dispel darkness. The victory was settled in all realms with Jesus Christ Who is the LIGHT of the world. In all realms means ALL.There is a world of uncertainty outside of Jesus. Doubt and unbelief are dark, murky waters. The prince of darkness will operate wildly in that uncertainty. He will take advantage of uncertainty and feed anyone there who will eat his deceptions.Jesus said, “ [In the last days] deception will run rampant. So beware you are not fooled!” Matthew 24:4Uncertainty leads to deception.“[The Deceiver] deviously asked the woman, “Did God really say…?” Genesis 3:1He wants to have you put your eyes on uncertainty. But inside the Kingdom of God there is certainty. The foundation is secured by the Creator of all that is seen and unseen. Life in God’s Kingdom never ends. The King’s authority and victory are established. Light has won dominion over darkness. Every righteous requirement has been fulfilled by the reigning King Jesus. You have been fully accepted and your name is written in the book of citizens. Salvation has been secured. It is the Kingdom that supersedes all other kingdoms. There is no lack here.Everything you need is at the table of your heart, where the King sits. The culture we live in on earth is screaming from every available screen or voice, “There isn’t enough!”.The Kingdom also speaks and it declares, “God’s provision is abundant and perfect”.So, may I humbly ask, where is your mind-set today? Is it on uncertainty or certainty?Jesus tells us that we are going to hear uncertainty even among believers.“If someone says to you, ‘Look, the Anointed One has returned! He’s in the desert!’ Or… ’Look ! He’s here in our house!’ Don’t believe it.” Matthew 24:24“Look, look at uncertainty!” That is the voice of the deceiver.Jesus has an answer- “You will KNOW when I appear” (Matthew 24:28) CERTAINLY.One of the joyful promises of our loving Father is from Psalm 27:13; we are able to “experience the goodness of God in the land of the living”, here on earth. We not only expect and experience His goodness in a world of uncertainty, we release His goodness on the earth. We are establishing the Kingdom of God reality on earth, a certain reality.Listen to this prophetic word from David regarding King Jesus,“I am setting Him apart, favoring Him as My firstborn Son. I will make Him the most high King in all the earth! I will love Him forever and always show Him kindness. My covenant with Him will never be broken. For I have decreed that He will always have an heir—a dynasty that will release the days of heaven on earth.” Psalm 89:27-29 TPTThe heirs of salvation are that dynasty! You and I are heirs, even joint-heirs (Romans 8:17), with Jesus Christ. We were adopted into God’s family, sharing the spiritual inheritance of Jesus. We are His heirs within His dynasty. We release days of heaven on earth! Wow. If that doesn’t bless you, time to wake up!Last week we went over some powerful keys that unlock the flow of heaven’s reality on the earth. If you haven’t listened, please do. These are keys that release the Kingdom within us. And amazingly, they release God’s Kingdom through us!Let’s explore two more essential keys to the Kingdom within: stillness and joy. I wanted to do one whole session on JOY or even multiple sessions. Joy is a powerful and supernatural force. It is the atmosphere of heaven, a key weapon in heaven’s arsenal, and most importantly, one of the central character traits of our Heavenly Father. But the Holy Spirit gave me stillness and joy together because their effectiveness increases together. Through stillness and joy, you and I can access the dynasty of heaven and bring it to earth.Believer in Jesus, the face of God is toward you. If you can take a moment and be fully aware of that reality. You are not begging for the attention of your Heavenly Father, His countenance is shining all over you right now. There is pure joy in His glorious face when He looks on you. The Holy Spirit, within you, rises up and meets His countenance and speaks like many waters over you, “You are God’s Beloved Child!” “You are My Heir.”“Be still and be loved… and enjoyed.” “Enjoy”…let that word sink into your innermost being and let it be a revelation of the Father’s heart toward you. Close your eyes and experience God’s pleasure over you. It doesn’t matter what you have done, because of Jesus you are forgiven and accepted. You must not fail to experience His personal pleasure over you. God’s plan all along was for you to freely enjoy His Fatherly love. Don’t shrink back in the fear of never being good enough. Enter into this profound stillness by surrendering every thought but this one: If God is for you, who can be against you?Experience the true reality that a river from the throne of the Father and Jesus flows down into your heart, your dwelling place. Everything needed is in that river.Experience God’s original blueprint of your purpose: You are in the very real reality that He showers you with His gift of perfect love. The command to be still and KNOW that He is God is not a correction for a distracted child, it is a perfect prayer. It is to fully embrace His Presence in your spirit, soul, and body. It is to say with your entire being, “Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven”.Kingdom living is not performance for God through good works and impactful accomplishments. Only when we are “always seeking the LIGHT of His face” (Psalm 105:4) do we experience His true pleasure and purpose for our lives. We have been made and re-made in His image. When we are still and waiting fully immersed in His Image then we are transformed from one brighter glory to another.“The moment one turns to Him with an open heart, the veil is lifted and they see…with no veil we all become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of the Lord Jesus. We are being transfigured into His very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another.” 2 Corinthians 3:16-18To access stillness in His Presence releases God’s love and rest. This stillness opens your heart wide to His wisdom.Jesus explained, “You’ve been given the intimate experience of insight into the hidden truths and mysteries of the realm of heaven’s Kingdom…For everyone who listens with an open heart will receive progressively more revelation (God’s wisdom) until he has more than enough.” Matthew 13: 11-12Stillness in His Presence gives us access to salvation in every area of our lives.“I stand silently to listen to the One I love waiting as long as it takes for the Lord to rescue me. Only God is my Savior, and He will not fail me!For He alone is my safe place. His wrap-around Presence always protects me as my champion defender. There is no risk of failure with God! So why would I let worry paralyze me, even when my troubles multiply around me? God’s glory is all around me! His wrap-around Presence is all I need, for the Lord is my Savior, my hero, and my life-giving strength.” Psalm 62:5-7 TPTAnxious cares will try to steal away the power of this position. Those cares will fly around like an unwanted annoyance until we break away and say, “I can’t be still! I must do something!” When we walk away to find a solution, we are walking away from the perfect answer. Our human nature is to build and not simply wait and listen. The gospels tell us about the Mt. of Transfiguration where Jesus, joined by Elijah and Moses, turns into pure LIGHT (Matthew 17). Peter’s first response was to build something religious to honor the moment. The Father steps in, covering them with a cloud, and releases His voice to say, “This is My beloved Son. Listen to Him!” Or in other words, “Stop planning, be still, and listen to Jesus”. This is His perfect will.“Surrender your anxiety!Be (still) silent and stop your striving and you will see that I am God.” Psalm 46:10 TPTSurrender can be a negative word to some. To me, I have found a great blessing in surrender. You cannot absorb all that God has for you if you are full of yourself. Like a sponge filled to the full with liquid, when you try to pour more, it cannot absorb it. Or like a glass of water filled to the brim, more water would just fall away from the glass. It is time to receive everything made available to you by the blood of Jesus. The Holy Spirit is whispering to you today, “ How many safety nets do you have before you only rely on His grace?” Jesus said, “I only do what the Father tells Me.” When did the Father counsel Him? It was in the secret place of prayer and in the stillness of His Presence. He was “still” on the mountaintop listening. He was “still” on the sea and in the heat of the desert. He was “still” when Judas betrayed Him and then lifted His face to the Father. He was “still” under arrest by Pontius Pilate when He was asked, “What is truth?”Stillness released our Savior’s purpose and stillness released His miracles. We are to follow Him in everything. What comes up when you are still? Surrender it.Surrender the thorn. 2 Corinthians 12:9 tells us when we do, God’s grace flows into the weakness as perfect power.Stillness leads to surrender because of God’s overwhelming love for you. Surrender leads to an abundance of grace. And grace leads to gratitude…and that leads us to supernatural JOY!Access JOY. You will go deeper into God’s glorious Kingdom Realm within.Joy is not happiness. It is a supernatural gift released from heaven. The atmosphere of heaven is first and foremost JOY. The face of the Father lights up heaven and His joy pours from His countenance. There is a parable Jesus told regarding the Kingdom of God and a distributed inheritance (Matthew 25:21). The servant in the parable who invested the inheritance was rewarded with these words, “Well done good and faithful servant! Enter in to the JOY of your Master!” Heaven’s atmosphere is joy. We are the ones who bring heaven to earth. In John 15, Jesus tells us we are in life-union with Him and to live nourished in the love of God. He then says, “These things I have spoken to you, that My JOY may remain in you, and that your JOY may be full.” (John 15:11)He also prays this for us in John 17: 13 (TPT), “I pray they experience and enter into My JOYous delight in You, so that IT is fulfilled in them and overflows!”The church has been comfortable with tears of repentance but we are not to stay there. God’s purpose is that we would be still, surrender everything that we do apart from Him, and then enter into the joy of our salvation. Our face glowing with the Image of our Savior and our body jumping for joy! In this world only a fool leaps for joy, but God tells us in His word that this should be our immediate response to all that He is and all that He does for us!“We can do nothing but leap for joy all day long for we KNOW who You are and what You do and you’ve exalted us on high!” Psalm 89:16Joy is a weapon against oppression and darkness. If the enemy can’t steal your joy, he can’t take anything that belongs to you! Joy is in the nuclear arsenal of the Kingdom of Light here on earth. Even God laughs on His throne at what the enemy tries to do.We have a joyful God and He wants to bring us into the center of His heart. Here, we are more than conquerors. When Jesus was born the Messenger of God spoke, “I have good news of great JOY!” Everything Jesus is joy. It is time for us to position ourselves in stillness before the One we love, move through surrender, and then into the joy of our salvation. Leap, dance, shout, and rejoice for what He has already done!If we desire to glorify God we must be acquainted with His JOY.Thank you for listening. There won’t be a session to post next week because our church will be praying continuously for the nations. We will also be praying for each believer to move beyond the tears of repentance and into activation of their purpose. I will be praying for each of you.Pastor TeresaHoly Ground Life with Teresa L. Kingdom School, Session 7: "Keys to Unlock the Kingdom"
Jesus taught us to declare in prayer,“Your Kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10)The Passion Translation: “Manifest Your Kingdom Realm and cause Your every purpose to be fulfilled on earth.”Jesus is clearly letting us know that God’s Kingdom is not just in heaven, but ready to invade the earth realm, and this is God’s will. Then He taught us,“God’s Kingdom does not come simply by obeying principles or waiting for signs. The Kingdom is not discovered in one place or another, for God’s Kingdom Realm is already expanding within some of you.” (Luke 17:20-21 TPT)The Kingdom has come. And it is up to the believer to seek it and receive it. God has released His Kingdom, through His Son Jesus, to us.Jesus tells us this, regarding the heart of the Father,“As you passionately seek His Kingdom, above all else, He will supply your needs. So don’t ever be afraid, dearest friends! Your loving Father joyously gives you His Kingdom with all its promises.” (Luke 12:31-32 TPT)And the Holy Spirit teaches us this,“Now the promise of entering into God’s rest [His Kingdom Realm with all its promises] is… for us today. So we must be extremely careful to ensure that we all embrace the fullness of that promise and not fail to experience it.” (Hebrews 4:1 TPT)Experience it, here on earth. Today. With the privilege of knowing there is more to experience comes an obligation to pursue it.If you were given entrance to a theme park like Disneyland and stayed the entire day on Main St. but never explored and experienced the many different lands within the park, you would be free to do that. But you would have failed to experience all that was available to see and enjoy. The same applies to God’s kingdom Realm on earth.Remember, we studied Matthew 11:12 and Jesus tells us that passionate people are the ones who take hold of Kingdom power. Will you take hold? Our teacher, Paul the apostle, says it like this, “I have heard of your devoted lives of faith in Christ Jesus and your tender love toward all His holy believers. Your faith and love rise within you as you access all the treasures of your inheritance stored up in the heavenly realm” (Colossians 1:4-5 TPT). Access is given, it is our choice to walk into it.Remember, you were translated (Colossians 1:12-13) from a shakable kingdom of darkness; one that shutters in darkness waiting to be destroyed by God’s Light. From that kingdom you were translated into the Kingdom of God’s Son, Jesus. This Kingdom is unshakable. This Kingdom holds no uncertainty.“Everything we could ever need for life and godliness has already been deposited in us by His divine power. For all of this was lavished upon us through the rich experience of knowing Him who has called us by name and invited us to come to Him through a glorious manifestation of His goodness (Kingdom of God manifested). As a result of this, He has given you magnificent promises that are beyond all price, so that through the power of these tremendous promises we can experience partnership with the divine nature, by which you have escaped the corrupt desires that are of the world.” (2 Peter 1:3-4 TPT)You can experience partnership…you can partake…How? Access. In the natural realm AND in the spirit realm keys give you access. Let’s look together at the keys that unlock God’s Kingdom Realm here on earth.#1 Key This is the master key to God’s Kingdom Realm: Jesus Christ. Jesus is the center of God’s Kingdom. Without Jesus there is no access. “I stand at the door of your heart and knock. If you unlock the door, I will come in and sit with you at the table of your heart. I will eat with you and you with Me.”-Jesus, Revelations 3:20.The amazing mystery is that when God gave you human life, He gave you a key. It is our choice to use this key. It is the key of faith in the Word of God. If you accepted the invitation to let Jesus into your heart, you had to unlock the door of your own heart to let Him in. That door was unlocked by faith. When you did, the Master Key of Abundant Life walked in. The Gateway to Life and Truth walked through the door of your heart!“I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)When Jesus sits at the table of your heart, you have full access to experience the Father’s Kingdom Realm here on earth.“Our faith in Jesus transfers God’s righteousness to us and He now declares us flawless in His eyes. (wow!) This means we can enjoy true and lasting peace with God, all because of what our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, has done for us.Our faith guarantees us permanent access into this marvelous kindness that has given us perfect relationship with God.” (Romans 5:1-2 TPT)Permanent access…Jesus Christ within. While seated in the center of your heart, Jesus holds a ring of keys to release to you one at a time. These keys will take you deeper into His Kingdom Realm. Embrace each one.Key #2The Key of David.“These are the Words of the Holy One, the true one, who has David’s key, who opens the doors that none can shut and who closes doors that none can open…”.(Revelations 3:7).In the Passion Translation notes regarding this scripture it reveals the meaning of the Key of David: “The key of David unlocks intimacy and prayer. David was a man who lived in grace centuries before the gospel of God’s grace was unveiled.”Intimacy and prayer. This opens wide a door to come into God’s fullness, where there is joy and power in the Holy Spirit. It is a key to unlock God’s Personal Realm. It is a key to unlock understanding of His character and His will. This key is not necessary to be “saved”, but is essential for you to ascend into God’s Realm. It is a key to experiential and relational intimacy with your Creator. When you access this place, you enter deeper knowledge of who Jesus is, understanding of the heart of the Father, and a place where you are known by the Father and the Son as family. David didn’t defeat the giant because of a supernatural influx of courage and ability. He defeated the giant before he even met him… in the secret place of intimate prayer. This is not a place of religious prayers of repetition but rather, access to divine friendship with God.When Jesus sealed His believers with the Holy Spirit in John 20:21, He released this access to friendship with God.Important: To receive this key gives you the responsibility to use it daily.Key #3Baptism of the Holy Spirit. When Jesus sealed you with the Holy Spirit, He said to intimately pray and wait to receive the infilling of the Holy Spirit…power from heaven to move you to be His messenger (Acts 1:8, Acts 2:1-4). Each key leads to an experience, which leads to access to another key. Intimacy and prayer lead to the baptism (infilling) of the Holy Spirit. This key gives you access to the power of the heavenly realm.“We are not living by the standards of the world, but by the Spirit’s wisdom and power. For though we are walking by the flesh, we are not waging war in the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare have divine power to destroy strongholds.” (2 Corinthians 10:2-5)This key gives us access to the armory of God.This key gives us access to perfect spiritual sight. This key unlocks ALL Truth. This key is a personal key to unlock our own heart and reveal why we do what we do.This key unlocks our mind of personal strongholds (and opinions that hurt us)… (Please read 1 Corinthians 2:10-12).The Key of the Infilling of the Holy Spirit will give you access to this revelation: The weight of this world is nothing in the light of His glory!Key #4Revelation from the Words of the Bible. This key unlocks the scriptures so that we can read and understand the deeper.. and progressively deeper meaning of God’s Word. The scriptures are breathed by the Spirit of God. The baptism of the Holy Spirit gives us access to being able to experience the Bible as a Person. This key takes us into an experience with deeper understanding and a more intense light of revelation. You do not need a person to interpret God’s Word for you. You have the key. Jesus is releasing it to you. This key gives you the ability to eat more complex meanings in scripture. With it we can advance into the rich soil of God’s Word.“Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly, flooding you with all wisdom.” (Colossians 3:16 TPT)This key gives you access to ALL Wisdom. Embrace wisdom and it will visibly be seen in your life (Matthew 11:19).“What is stored in your heart will be heard in the overflow of your words.” (Matthew 12:34)This key allows you to store up the treasure of God’s Word in your heart and produce the fruit that gives God pleasure… in your own words.Key #5This Key unlocks God’s authority and power to flow in your own words. The keys that Jesus gives us are offered sequentially to lead you into deeper experiences in God’s Kingdom Realm on earth. Each one makes you ready for the next. Remember, “ Your Father joyously gives you the Kingdom and all of its promises” so this access gives God great pleasure. When the Word of God becomes a part of you, it transforms your thoughts and perspectives. When this happens you begin to speak differently. If you have been around the believers who believe in the power of our words, you have heard, “You need to be better about what you say! Your words have creative power!” This can become annoying! lol. The truth is, if you have explored where the previous keys have taken you, it isn’t your self discipline that will change your words. Your words will begin to transform under the influence of God’s Kingdom within. This key gives you access to authority. Jesus hands you it.In the secret place of prayer, under the loving influence of the Holy Spirit, soaked in the living Word of God, we are learning what is possible from our Master Key, Jesus.“If you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea!‘ And do not doubt in your heart, but you believe that what you say will be done, you will have whatever you say!” (Mark 11:23)Jesus, on the cross, released His voice and then released His Spirit to the Father. Our experience is to receive the Spirit from Jesus and then release our voice filled with the Spirit’s power! Our words unlock God’s possible on the earth. His authority is activated by our words. Look at Peter and John at the Gate of Beautiful in the book of Acts when they saw the crippled man. If they had not spoken these words, “ Silver and gold we do not have. But, in The Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise and walk!” (Acts 3:6) the crippled man would not have received his miracle.“Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 18:18)We are those who are citizens of God’s Kingdom Realm on earth, and we bring what is a reality in heaven to the earth. We do this through access given to us by Jesus and the gift of His GREAT name. We drive out darkness with the power and authority of His name.“They [those who believe in Jesus and have invited Him to sit at the table of their heart] will drive out demons in the power of My name. They will speak in tongues.” (Mark 16:17)You will speak in tongues. The words will flow from the Holy Spirit who fills you. A perfect spiritual language. Do not let the enemy rob this from you because men who fear an unknown language. Jesus said if you ask for all the gifts of the Holy Spirit your Father will give you them all! (Please read Luke 11:12-13). When you pray in your God-given spiritual language you pray the perfect will of God for your life and for those you love. This key unlocks the authority of God’s Kingdom on the earth through your words.“The Spirit of God hovered over the waters and spoke…”LIGHT BE!”… and light was.” (Genesis 1:2-3)You are made in God’s image and that means you can speak light over the darkness! That is all for today. There will be more keys in the next session.Thank you for listening. Praying for each of you to receive all the keys that unlock the adventure of God’s Kingdom Realm here on earth!Pastor TeresaHoly Ground Life with Teresa L. Hoffman is a reader-supported publication. Kingdom School, Session 6: "Experiencing the Kingdom Within"
How do we experience the Kingdom of God within us? It begins with a choice.Let’s start with Luke 17:20-21.“Now having been asked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God would come, [Jesus] replied, ‘The Kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed or with a visible display. Nor will people say, ‘Look! Here it is!’ or ‘ There it is!’ For the Kingdom of God is among you because of My Presence.” (Luke 17:20-21 AMP)“The Kingdom of God is in your midst.” (v :21, NIV)“The Kingdom of God is already expanding within some of you.” (v: 21, TPT)The original text uses a Greek word that can either mean “in your midst” or “within you”. I believe we can hear the gentle invitation of our Savior-Jesus, in this difficult to translate word, asking if we will be one who believes Jesus is in the midst of our church, or if we are the ones who live a life of trusting and believing in the Christ within. “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears and listens to and heeds My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he will eat with Me.” (Revelations 3:20)Your choice. The Gateway to Life and Truth has come to the door of your heart and asks for entrance! The Kingdom Realm of God is a person and He is Jesus Christ. Have you answered His knock and let Him enter your heart? He will live in the midst of you and sit at the table of your control center; the place where your thoughts reside and your will is formed… or transformed. When we join our life with Jesus, we experience the Kingdom of God within. We carry a reality that far exceeds any other reality. It is a deep, relational, experiential reality not to be taken lightly. We don’t live on a entirely human level, but we think by the thoughts and secrets of the Spirit within. It is a great treasure to be able to live this way. This is a season for you and I to recognize the Kingdom of God within our heart. It must be a treasured reality.Let’s remember that Jesus never said, “Above all be a good Christian” or “Above all use the energy of your being to to preach, teach, and feed the world”. He never said, “Be good enough to call yourself a Christ-follower by doing many good deeds.” He did say, above all, “Love the Lord your God with every passion of your heart, with all the energy of your being, and with every thought that is within you. This is the greatest and supreme commandment” (Matthew 22:37-38). For God, it has always been about your heart.Loving God beautifully begins with loving Jesus…letting Him enter our heart, then sit down at the table of our heart, and daily take up residence in the middle of our thoughts.“The Lord doesn’t look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7)Your heart is more important to God than anything great you can do for Him.Jesus came to heal the human heart according to Isaiah 61. He came to restore our relationship with our Creator and He came to restore our souls. A perfect life is a life lived with the One Who Is Perfect.Jesus said, “Where your treasure is, there will be your heart” (Matthew 6:21). What do you treasure? Be honest. When our hearts treasure the living Words of Jesus, He has taken up residence within. When Jesus sits at the table of our heart and feeds us the Words of truth and life in the scriptures, the Kingdom of God has taken residence within us.Our relationship with Jesus cannot advance without knowledge of His Words. We need to eat to remain at His table. Our relationship with scripture is reflective of how much we treasure the Kingdom of God within. His heavenly wisdom is magnificent. When our heart is centered on Jesus we have a foundation that will never fail.“Let the Word of Christ live in you richly , flooding you with all wisdom.” (Colossians 3:16 TPT)What happens at the table of your heart? There is a washing…pouring…flooding…outflow.“The love of God is poured into your heart through the Holy Spirit, Who has been given to you.” (Romans 5:5)Guard your heart with all diligence for out of it flows the issues of life. (Proverbs 4:23)Jesus said to us,The water I give you [in your heart’s center] will become in you a well of water springing up into eternal life.” (John 4:14)But the water that I give [you] will become in [you] a spring of water [satisfying your thirst for God} welling up [continually flowing, bubbling within you] to eternal life.” (John 4:14 AMP)Thoughts well up in the heart center and bubble up as words which affect the atmosphere around you. When the Kingdom is experienced within you, you drink in the thoughts of Jesus, which is the mind of Christ, and they flow out as words and they have miraculous, life-changing power. As a result, the Kingdom of God is seen flowing from your life.Something is always flowing out of your heart. What is flowing out of yours? The original blueprint for the human heart (our believing center) was that the active, flowing , life-giving LOVE of God would flow into it and flow out…to others. Before you believed in Jesus there was one flow and it was the never ending flow of the knowledge of good and evil. A river independent of God that began when sin entered the world. Self protection was the first response of Adam and Eve from that flow and it is the same for us. It leads to broken hearts which lead to grief and self-awareness and eventually fear. This leads to self-preservation, provision, and weariness. But Jesus came to heal our heart and restore the well. Amen. When the Kingdom of God is active within you there is peace. It is a peace that guards your heart. The Prince of Peace sits at the table and His peace has overcome the world. We no longer need to police the rivers that flow -His peace guards our heart (Philippians 4:7, John 14:27, Colossians 3:15). His love flows in and out. Jesus makes it so. It is a place of rest in Him. The original blueprint restored. Our part is to actively allow God to reign in our heart.Eat a diet of the Spirit’s perceptions. The way to do that is to read the bible. Consume God’s Words every day. Believe His Words and act on His Word. Soak your thoughts with God thoughts. Fill the table of your heart with God’s promises. Go to bed with His promises flowing… wave after wave over your heart. Treasure His voice.Moments of doubt come toward every believer like a dark river. The unbelief, offence, or fear will try to return to a dry riverbed. The darkness tries to make you return to an old familiar way of self-preservation, self-protection, self-awareness, self-comfort and weariness. There is no condemnation when this happens, but there is a choice. Where will you return? Will it be a return to the old habit or addiction or control? Or will you return to Jesus and the Secret Place within? The best experience I have had in the Kingdom of God within has been when darkness is at the door of my heart and I choose Jesus and His voice instead. When His river of kindness flows, I am secure…and I grow in the Kingdom.Do not be afraid of the deep places. You are not alone. To experience the Kingdom of God within is to exchange what you “know” for knowing Him.The more I know Jesus, the more I know it is about Him and His promises, and not about me.I hope this blessed you.Thank you for listening,Pastor TeresaHoly Ground Life with Teresa L. Kingdom School, Session 5: "Communion, The Kingdom Feast"
God said of David, “I have found someone who pursues My heart and he will accomplish all I have destined him to do.” (Acts 13:22 TPT)God is saying of you, “I see how you are pursuing My heart…continue and you will accomplish everything I have destined you to do.” Amen.Kingdom School is about strengthening one another, encouraging one another to go deeper in our faith and into the center of God’s Kingdom Realm. It is about being delivered entirely from oppression and not tolerating anything less than the freedom Jesus promised us. It is taking a moment to breathe deeply the atmosphere of Heaven, here on earth, and sit down together to partake in all of God’s goodness. The table is set for us in the center of the Kingdom of God, here on earth.Humanity is facing daunting things as a global community. There is a fierceness that is not for the faint of heart. But joined in life union and in covenant with Jesus we are more than conquerors. We are pressing into the ultimate victory, every day, by wrapping our believing hearts tightly around His truth. He has found in you a heart for Him and your heart will not fail. He will never let you fail! Our heart in His Presence is healed.“Then He said to me, “Write: Blessed are those who are called to the marriage feast of the LAMB!” (Revelations 19:9)Who is the LAMB?“The very next day John saw Jesus coming to him to be baptized, and John cried out, ‘ Look! There He is- God’s Lamb! He will take away the sins of the world!’” (John 1:29 TPT)How do we receive an invite to His marriage feast?“ Behold I (Jesus Christ) stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and open the door, I will come in to him and DINE with him and he with Me.” (Revelations 3:20)What are we to eat?“The bread of God is the One who came out of Heaven to give His life to feed the world.” (John 6:33)God set the table with His very best:“The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” (John 1:14)Jesus Christ.“Your Word was found, and I ate it. And Your Word was to me the joy and delight of my heart…for I am called by Your Name.” (Jeremiah 15:16)When we eat the Kingdom feast we receive His victorious Name over our spirit, soul, and every cell of our body.“ I am the Bread of Life. Come everyday to Me and you will never be hungry. Believe in Me and you will never be thirsty.” (John 6:35)Every day we are invited to wrap our lives around His Truth and make it a part of us. It is a feast that fulfills the meaning of life. We can partake in the fullness of Jesus. He is the One who invites us, the One who sits with us, the One we partake. As He is, we receive the same. It is a blessing indeed! The table He prepared is set on earth, right now, not in the great by and by. It is the table of Psalm 23, “He sets a table for you in the presence of your enemies” (v. 5). Your enemy is not in Heaven-he roams this world, for now. But that table is glorious and darkness has no part of it. Jesus sits with you. He pours an anointing of identity with His name over your head-healing your mind. He fills the cup of covenant wine and never lets it go dry. He speaks what is true about who you are, wrapped in His garment of righteousness, “Goodness and mercy will follow you today and all of your days. You are a part of My family. Everything you need is here.” The communion table is a sacred place available to each of us every day. It is a Kingdom of God reality inside the natural realm reality. While preparing this study, I have been so inspired to take communion more often. “Blessed are those who are called to the wedding feast of Jesus!”Listen to what Jesus says when He explains the Kingdom Realm Marriage Feast:As was His custom, Jesus continued to teach the people by using allegories. He illustrated the REALITY OF THE KINGDOM REALM by saying,“There once was a king who arranged an extravagant wedding feast for His son. On the day the festivities were set to begin, He sent His servants to summon all the invited guests, but they chose not to come.So the king sent even more servants…saying…”Come to the wedding feast for my son and his bride!”But the invited guests were not impressed. One was preoccupied with his business; another went off to his farming enterprise….Then the king said to his servants, “The wedding feast is READY, yet those who have been invited to attend didn’t deserve the honor. Now I want you to go to into the streets and alleyways and invite anyone and everyone you find to come and enjoy the wedding feast in honor of my son.”So the servants went out into the city streets and invited everyone to come to the wedding feast, good and bad alike, until the banquet hall was crammed with people! Now when the king entered the banquet hall, he looked with glee over all his guests. But he noticed a guest who was not wearing the wedding robe provided for him. So he said, “My friend, how is it that you are here and you’re not wearing your wedding garment? But the man was speechless. Then the king turned to his servants and said, “Tie him up and throw him out into the outer darkness where there will be great sorrow, with weeping and grinding of teeth,For everyone in invited to enter in, but few respond in excellence.” (Matthew 22:1-14 TPT)Jesus shared this parable to illustrate the reality of the Kingdom Realm of God on earth. The KING gave an invite and it was declined by those who were distracted by earthly cares. The cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches will stop you from the greatest feast ever offered to men. They did not recognize their spiritual poverty because they were deceived into believing they were perfectly self-sustaining.The poor and lame recognized their poverty and received the honor of the invitation. The guests could bring nothing because they had nothing to bring to a King’s feast. The Kingdom Feast is about the capacity to fully receive what has already been prepared. The guest that refused to wear the wedding garment given to him was addressed as “Friend” by the King. The response to this kind word was total silence. The guest had refused the gift of a new garment and refused to have a conversation with his gracious Host. He brought his familiar “shame” in the form of old ragged clothes into the feast and refused to partake and be made whole. He refused to even discuss what he believed as “religiously” right with the Righteousness of God who stood before him or simply repent...The self-wealthy and the stubborn resisted. The poor received.“Blessed are the poor, they will inherit the Kingdom of God.”(Matthew 5:3)“What happiness [prosperity, delight, abundance, overwhelming goodness] comes to you when you feel your spiritual poverty. For theirs is the realm of Heaven’s Kingdom.” (Matthew 5:3,TPT)Do you remember when Jesus told His listeners how to invite guests to your home for dinner? He was letting you and I know who He invites to His dinner:“It is better to invite those who never get an invitation. Invite the poor to your banquet, along with the outcast, the handicapped, the blind—those who could never repay you the favor.” (Luke 14:13-14)Have you ever expected a little child to bring a dish to your home for dinner?Jesus said, “Whoever continually humbles himself to become like this gentle child is the greatest one in Heaven’s Kingdom Realm.” (Matthew 18:4)It is about the capacity to fully receive. Are you hungry? “Blessed are the ones who are invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb!” You will be filled. This is the Last Supper before the cross of Christ and the First Supper of the wedding feast of the Lamb in God’s Kingdom Reality on earth:Jesus said to them,“My heart longs with great desire to eat this Passover meal with you…”Jesus took the bread and blessed it and broke it and gave it to His disciples. He said to them, “This is My body. Eat it.”Then taking the cup of wine and giving praise to the Father, He entered covenant with them, saying, “This is My blood. Each of you must drink it in fulfillment of the covenant. It will be poured out for many for the complete forgiveness of sins. The next time we drink this, I will be with you and we will drink it together with a new understanding in the Kingdom Realm of My Father.” (Matthew 36:18, 26-29 TPT)This promise of drinking the cup of covenant with Him again was fulfilled in Acts 10:41. This is not a promise for when we see Jesus in Heaven after we die. It is a meal enjoyed here on earth in the Kingdom Realm…..and in the Heavenly Realm. In the center of the Kingdom Feast of the Kingdom Realm is JESUS Himself: He invites you, He rejoices over your attendance, He sits with you, and it is His life that we partake of.The source of our lives is found wholly in Jesus Christ. When we celebrate our Communion with Him we are in the center of the Kingdom of God on earth. He is your source. (Please read that until it drops into your heart.)He is the source of all that we are. We are a three part being: spirit, soul, and body. 1 Peter 2:24 says, 1) “He bore your grief”. This was for your spirit. It was cut off from God because of sin that led to death. Whenever there is separation there is grief. Jesus restored you to the Father. 2)”He carried your sorrow”. Jesus restores your soul, where sorrow lives. He absorbed in His body all of your sorrow. He restored you to His joy. 3) “By His wounds, you were healed”. Your physical body is healed because your life is joined to the Healer. It is His blood that paid for your healing. By taking communion, we remember that all these truths supersede what we see, feel, or hear on this earth. When we partake of His body and His blood through the bread and the cup, we enjoy the most valuable treasure this earth has ever held…Kingdom of God treasure….peace with the Living God for all humanity. Can we take the bread and the cup of Christ unworthily as believers?(Paul tells us, by direct revelation from the Spirit how to take Holy Communion:)‘The same night He was betrayed, He took the bread and gave thanks. Then He distributed it to the disciples and said, ”Take it and eat your fill. It is My body, which is given for you. Do this to remember Me.”He did the same with the cup of wine after supper and said, “This cup seals the new covenant with My blood. Drink it- and whenever you drink this, do it to remember Me.”(Paul teaches….)Whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you are retelling the story, proclaiming the Lord’s death until He comes. For this reason, whoever eats the bread and drinks the cup of the Lord in the wrong spirit will be guilty of dishonoring the body and blood of the Lord…evaluate your own attitude…for continually eating and drinking with the wrong spirit will bring judgement upon yourself by not recognizing the body. This insensitivity is why many of you are weak, chronically ill, and some even dying. If you do not sit in judgement of others, you will avoid judgement yourself. ( 1 Corinthians 11:23-31)Let’s dig into this and understand what it is to have a “wrong spirit”. First of all, it is definitely a spirit of division. If you have something against another believer you need to forgive them. If you are offended, angry, jealous, or even filled with hatred take care of this before you take communion. Your sins were forgiven by the work of Jesus, forgive your brother or sister as easily as you receive His forgiveness. The body of Christ was not broken…do not break the body of Christ through a spirit of division.A distracted spirit is a wrong spirit. The wealthy of the land rejected the Kings invitation to the Wedding Feast because they were distracted by the cares of this world. Elijah asked the people of God in 1 Kings 18:21, “Why do you waver between two opinions? You worship God and you worship the God of this world” (wealth, fame, self provision, etc.).A religious spirit is a wrong spirit. The self-rising yeast of the Pharisees was to be avoided at all costs. Take no pride in your “holy works” they are rubbish. They are the self-made garment of the guest who didn’t humble himself to wear the gift of the King’s garment. A religious spirit is unaffected by the power of the King’s sacrifice.A lazy spirit without expectation of being wholly affected by the bread and the cup of Jesus is a wrong spirit.A spirit that tolerates a lifestyle of sin and disobedience and relies on the gift of the grace of God, without making an effort to change, is a wrong spirit. Sin breaks your fellowship with Jesus and the Father. Sin breaks your heart. Sin breaks God’s heart. Sin breaks the hearts of those around you. You are either for Jesus or against Him and if you are breaking that which is whole, you are against Him. How can you receive forgiveness when you take sin so lightly?A spirit of fear tolerated is the wrong spirit; allowing anxiety to be a garment you wear. God never gave you a spirit of fear so who did? Don’t bring something into the perfect feast that is unholy. Surrender your fear. There are demonic strongholds but there are also things that we hold strongly to. Let go and come to the feast ready to receive. 1 John 4:8 is a promise Jesus gave you: ”Perfect love casts out fear.”If there is a spirit of holding back something you call your own-even if it is shame-it is a wrong spirit.A right spirit sits down at the communion table expecting to receive complete deliverance from every earthly care. His blood and body were enough. I have nothing to bring. The Original PassoverThe original Passover in Exodus 12 teaches us some very important foundations for the Kingdom Feast (Exodus 12:7-46).* They were instructed to take the blood of the sacrificed lamb and put it over the entrance of their dwelling (V. 7). It was sign to God they were covered in covenant protection. Death could not take them.* They were instructed to roast the lamb and not to leave anything on the table (v. 9-10). When we come to the communion table we partake of the entire sacrifice Jesus paid for on the cross: forgiveness of sin, restoration of our soul, promises of provision in all areas, protection, healing in our physical body, freedom from oppression and addiction, and salvation in every area of our life.* They were instructed to put on their “get-up-and-go” clothes before they ate the meal (v. 11). We prepare to receive ALL of our deliverance even before we eat the Communion meal.* They were instructed to sacrifice the entire lamb, nothing left out, and to not break any of the bones of the lamb (v. 46). Not one of Jesus’ bones were broken when they took Him down from the cross…no bones were broken so that our broken-ness would be made whole. Jesus body was put on the cross for our redemption. He paid the entire sum, in total. We are made whole because of Him; nothing missing and nothing broken. Shalom. Shalom. Thank you Jesus.* Pharoah told them to get out of Egypt and never come back (v. 31-32). Be prepared to be released from your bondage and have the enemy cower and run from you because of the VICTORY of the cross and resurrection.* When you enter your land of promises don’t forget to remember this ceremony (v.25). We also partake of the Communion table as often as possible to put ourselves in remembrance of where we live, who we are, and Whose we are. We receive our Source.Let’s Take Communion TogetherPlease open your bible to 1 Corinthians 11: 23-26. Get something to drink and something to eat. A cracker and grape juice is ideal but a friend of mine once took communion in a car dealership with coffee and a protein bar! This isn’t about the elements, it is about your heart. You do not need someone holier than you to bless it. You can’t bring anything to this feast that is apart from Jesus’ gift of righteousness. When we take Communion we are remembering that we are joined now in life union with Jesus. All that He is, we now are (1 John 4:17). We are united with Christ, possessing His forgiveness , His Victory, His love, His authority, his peace of mind, and all His promises. Take Communion when there is a storm in your life, take it when sickness needs to be put under the cross, take it for your family, take it when you need a miracle, take it for your loved ones, take it anytime the oppression in this world seems to come into your atmosphere and take it as often as you like.Forgive those who have hurt you, repent of having a wrong spirit, see yourself as a guest of the King, and fully expect your deliverance. Now follow Jesus’ directions in 1 Corinthians 11:23-26.His body brings life to your body and healing to your heart. His blood seals God’s protection over you and your household.Say this with me, “Your blood and your body have overcome! I am joined to you, Jesus.”There will be a new study of Living in God’s Kingdom Realm on earth every week. If you subscribe it will be in your inbox when it comes out. Kingdom School, Session 4: "Running into the Heart of the Kingdom"
Believer in Jesus, you are a citizen of God’s Kingdom in heaven and on the earth. Your name is written on the pages of the registry of His Kingdom. He personally knows your name. When we made Jesus Lord of our life we were eternally translated into the Kingdom of God. You have been born from above into a whole new reality. You have been born from the Spirit of God! Stop and think of that! Therefore, our primary identity is spirit. As a new creation being we are called to walk the journey of life led by the Spirit in everything. Although we stumble at times, we are growing up in this knowledge and maturing everyday in this ability. Thank you for joining me on this journey of discovering who God made us to be.Now that we are born again through Jesus, we are walking the “time-line” of our life as a journey that is guaranteed to end in the center of the Kingdom, which is the heart of the Father. Our journey may not be perfect, but we won’t miss the Father’s heart as long as we live in life-union with Jesus Christ. But our journey has a question:Will you allow life’s pressures to dominate you?Or, will you walk with a singular focus on Jesus Christ, holding tightly to His Word? (Better!)Or, will you run with passion and determination to lay hold of the beautiful prize of your God-given purpose? (Best!)Even after we become children of God through Jesus, our lives are made up of our choices. Your will is important to God. You can stumble, stop, beg for things God has already given, feel like a victim of fate, walk like the world, and fear everything an unbeliever fears. You can miss your purpose because of distraction. And in the end you will still find your life in the Father’s embrace. His goodness will always overwhelm our ignorance.Jesus isn’t going to judge you on how you take the journey. He said He came to not judge, but save you.Jesus won’t leave you to “journey” alone. He said He would never leave you or forsake you.But our desire is to live our lives with the excellence available to all believers, so that when it is over here on earth we hear, “Well done”.In every believer in Jesus there is a power source that is available every day. There is a power in your inner spirit man that can be “tapped” into. Some live their entire lives on earth never accessing that power. This is power from a heavenly source for great acceleration. The source of that power is the Holy Spirit…and every believer in Jesus has the Holy Spirit living in the center of their being. He is a gentle Counsellor, Comforter, and Helper…yes…but He is also RESURRECTION POWER.“If the Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead is living inside of you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give LIFE to your mortal bodies because of the Spirit that lives in you.” (Romans 8:11 NIV)When you choose to yield to the Holy Spirit, resurrection power begins to flow and you will accelerate toward your perfect purpose. We see, in this living word from Romans 8:11, that this isn’t just in spiritual realm reality but in the natural realm as well…affecting strength and life in our “mortal bodies”. Yielding to the power of the Holy Spirit allows us to experience running strong with supernatural power directly into the center of God’s Kingdom reality. What does it look like when a man or woman is running full speed into the heart of the Father? It has everything to do with mindset. When circumstances weigh us down…(and they will!) we make the choice to set our mind on what God says…a life that lays hold of TRUTH, everyday.Bad reports, worry, anger, frustration close in on every believer. Confusion, grief, troubles, disappointment, and weariness cross all of our paths. Life’s pressures move in to dominate our experience. The overwhelming atmosphere of these pressures try to push us into a mental space that says, “I am alone…locked in with no way out…a failure…my mistakes have chained me to a reality”. This is the work of the enemy of God to move you off your appointed purpose and course. But there is a Person inside of you heavy with a weight of a higher authority. The Holy Spirit is in you and life’s pressures don’t move Him.Jesus tells us, “Your Father [gives] you a Savior (Helper, Advocate, Rescuer), the Holy Spirit of Truth who will be to you a friend…and He will never leave you. The world won’t receive Him because they can’t see Him or KNOW Him…but you KNOW Him intimately because He remains with you and will live inside you.” (John 14:15-17)Also…Everything we could ever need for life and godliness (acceleration) has already been deposited in us by His divine power. For all this was lavished upon us through the rich experience of KNOWING Him who called us by name and invited us to come to Him (running to the heart of the Father) through a glorious manifestation of His goodness. As a result of this, He has given you magnificent promises that are beyond all price, so that through the power of these tremendous promises you can experience partnership WITH the Divine Nature (!) , by which you have escaped the corrupt desires that are of the world. (2 Peter 1: 3-4 TPT)His Divine Power is available and in you. Partnership with the Holy Spirit is available for you to experience. When we partner with the power of the Holy Spirit, the anointing of God flows into us.The Anointing of the Holy SpiritThe anointing of God is the burden removing, yoke destroying power of God (Isaiah 10:27). The anointing of God flows from the Holy Spirit through you. And the anointing is the pure fuel needed to run into the center of the Kingdom of God here on earth. When the anointing of the Holy Spirit flows through your life, you have a deeper hunger for God, you have clarity of purpose, you have a passion to serve others, you participate in spiritual warfare ,and your life manifests the spiritual fruit of living life with the Holy Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. When we yield to the power of the Holy Spirit, the anointing of God flows through us.The only way to escape the oppression of this world is to passionately lay hold of the Kingdom Realm.“From the moment John (the Baptist) stepped onto the scene until now, the realm of Heaven’s Kingdom is bursting forth and passionate people have taken hold of its’ power.” (Matthew 11:12 TPT)Take hold. Grasp tightly. Embrace. Hold with bulldog tenacity. Fasten your heart. What do you believe? To lay hold of something means you need to lay aside something. You can’t grasp if your hand is full. There is a superpower released in you through simple surrender. Strongholds hold us back but what is it you are you holding strongly to? God needs you to release it so you can accelerate into perfect purpose?God says,“My grace is all you need…your weakness becomes a portal to My power.” (2 Corinthians 12: 9-10)We run best, on this life journey into the heart of our Father, weightless. Heavy runners quit. Those who rely on their own abilities and strength run weighed down with their own extra muscle (think of a bodybuilder running a marathon).Running powered by faith, believing God, having a clear and focused mind gives you the victory. When your mind is distracted or wrapped tightly with the pressures of life you run wild. When you try to run to the Father pulling worldly expectations along, it all becomes too much. But when you wrap your thoughts diligently around the truth of what God says, you run easy and light.Jesus says,“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart (humble) and you will find rest for your soul. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28 KJV)A life joined to Jesus is easy and light.I think some of the greatest burdens we carry are our own expectations tied to our identity. Expectations formed in childhood, by worldly media, the culture we live in…Expectations of what it looks like to be a good Christian, be a good parent, have a good marriage, be successful, be healed…We release the burden of our identity and take up Jesus’ identity…rest for your soul. His work is finished. In a relay race the baton is passed between runners and they are expected to run their best for their leg of the race. Running into the heart of the Kingdom does not mean Jesus ran His race and now has passed the baton to us. He has not handed over His promises and sent you ahead to run your race alone by believing “hard”. Jesus runs with us. He didn’t leave us to run our race alone. Paul says,“I continually long to KNOW the wonders of Jesus and to experience the overflowing power of His resurrection working in me.” (Philippians 3:10 TPT)“Not that I have already attained or am already perfected; but I PRESS ON, that I may lay hold of that which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.” (Philippians 3:12 NKJV)The most amazing truth: Jesus ran His race to obtain you as His prize! Why? Because the God-kind of love must be released. The nature of His love pours out and expands. The heart of God is relationship, family, friendship, and union. His resurrection power IS His love.Running into the heart of the Father is a result of the Father’s love chasing after us and love must move. This will never be about your individual performance as a believer. It is about the joy that lives between the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God wants us to enter into His joy.Jesus prayed,“I pray that they (the ones who believe in Me) will experience and ENTER INTO My joyous delight in You (Father) so that it is fulfilled in them and overflows!” (John 17:13 TPT)Exhilarating joy. Exciting joy. We are running into an intimate place where we know God and are fully known and loved. This is not an exhausting marathon. The perfect pace of joy allows us to run at rest. Yahweh speaks,“The wise must not boast in their wisdom. The mighty must not boast in their power. The wealthy must not boast in their riches. If you are going to boast, then boast about this: that you understand My ways and KNOW My heart, you KNOW that I AM Yahweh. Let the wise boast in KNOWING how I demonstrate infinite love, true justice, and righteousness, for these are the things that delight My heart.” (Jeremiah 9:23-24 TPT)We are running into the center of God’s heart when we run into the center of God’s Kingdom Realm. When we do, we experience His love, His justice, and His righteousness. The heart of the Father is Jesus.Thank you for joining me. Kingdom School, Session 3 : "How to 'Seek First' the Kingdom of God"
But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you. Matthew 6:33How do we, as Kingdom citizens, “seek first” the Kingdom of God?Our answer begins with Jesus’ teaching in John 3:3-8.Listen to this eternal truth: Before a person can even perceive God’s Kingdom, they must first experience a rebirth…I speak to you an eternal truth: Unless you are born of water and the Spirit, you will never enter God’s Kingdom. For the natural realm only gives birth to things that are natural, but the spiritual realm gives birth to supernatural life! You shouldn’t be amazed by my statement, “You all must be born from above!” For the Spirit-Wind blows as it chooses. You can hear its sound, but you don’t know where it came from or where it’s going. So it is the same with those who are Spirit-born! John 3:3, 5-7To be able to “seek” you must first have “sight”. You need a spirit that can perceive spiritual realities. You can’t “seek first” the Kingdom of God with natural eyes. Your natural eyes are of no help whatsoever. It is by spiritual eyes we can see the Kingdom of God on earth. It is important for us to understand the spiritual reality of your new creation identity. When you believed Jesus died for you and rose to give you new life you were reborn. Your natural being did not change, but something eternal inside of you came alive, your spirit. Your spirit did not get washed clean and restored…that was your soul. Your spirit was dead and buried in the sin of Adam and Eve along with all of humanity. A choice rocked that grave. Your choice to believe opened the door and your spirit was resurrected to life through Jesus. You are now a spirit that has a soul and you live in a body (1 Thessalonians 5:23 says “May your whole being be made holy: spirit, soul, and body.”). Your spirit, in the sight of God, is your primary identity. Your spirit was born through Jesus’ own spirit. The same glory on Jesus is found in the DNA of your spirit. God sees you perfect and holy. Let that sink in!{He chose you} for salvation through the Spirit, who then set you apart to be holy…{all because you believed the Truth}…so that you would have the glory of Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14The GLORY of God in and on Jesus is now in and on you. Now your spirit is alive as Jesus is alive. Your spirit is designed to lead your entire being; be spirit-led in everything, my friend. When we passionately seek God’s Kingdom realm on earth, it is the spirit that presses us into the high calling of our Christ identity. The body and soul (mind, will, emotional response) of a believer is constantly being renewed to join the freedom of your spirit. The body should not be leading a person with its desires and hungers. The soul should not be leading with its emotional highs and lows. But a perfect person is united, spirit, soul, and body, in the Truth of Christ. If we are to “seek first” the Kingdom, we must understand this. The Kingdom of God is not a location for the body to run to. Likewise, the Kingdom of God is not a feeling our soul can discover. The Kingdom of God is a spiritual inheritance and because your spirit is reborn you are qualified to receive it!Seek “first” God’s Kingdom, right now where you sit, because you were made for this!Glory to Glory. We can all draw close to Him with the veil removed from our faces. And with no veil we become like mirrors that brightly reflect the GLORY of the Lord Jesus. We are being transfigured into His very image as we move from one brighter level of GLORY to another. And this glorious transfiguration comes from the Lord…who is Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3: 18 TPTSpirit to spirit. Like unto like. Glory unto glory. Child to Father. We are in a sliver of time where the invitation is for all is to come to Jesus. As we make the choice to believe (Romans 10:10), our spirit is born through Him. The GLORY our spirit is made of comes face to face with His GLORY…like unto like. We can raise our hands and His affection and mercy overwhelm us and we are transformed. This is living!Raise your hands right now to Him. Experience the weight of His GLORY breaking off all the burdens, dissolving the problems, destroying the yokes of bondage. Allow the greatness of His GLORY to cause everything not made with the GLORY of God to bow low. Take a moment to focus on the beauty and person of His Presence. To be a persistent seeker of the Kingdom you need to be familiar with the GLORY of God.There will come a time when His GLORY will come down and the natural realm will bow down under the weight of God’s GLORY. Nothing will be able to stand. In that day, His GLORY will not be for transformation but for judgement to an unbelieving world. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things on earth, and things under the earth (demonic realm). Philippians 2:10 KJVThe GLORY of God is a spiritual reality. Remember our scripture from last session, “Set your mind on spiritual realities not on the distractions of the natural realm” (Colossians 3:2-3). The natural realm has no capacity to understand it.The GLORY is His name; His dominion, power, and authority. The GLORY is His excellence and beauty. It is His superseding greatness (NOTHING can stand against Him). The GLORY is the LOVE of God in all of its eternal depth-a depth that can never be reached. The GLORY is His Presence.Right now He is filling the earth with His GLORY and He is doing it by filling us!His GLORY is His Kingdom.Do you sense His Glory over and in you right now? This is seeking first. This is allowing your born-again spirit to see and perceive heavenly realities here on earth. When you fasten your thoughts on Jesus…choosing to not let life’s pressures dominate you, but let the reality of His GLORY to dominate you, you have found the Kingdom realm. And you become a part of its expansion on earth.Sometimes it is easier for me, when I am learning, to know how not to do something, so…How NOT to seek the Kingdom of God* Worry-Jesus commanded you to not worry (Matthew 6).-The Holy Spirit commanded you to not worry (Philippians 4:6-9).-To worry is to meditate on natural realm power and, as a result, you give it a voice of authority. How NOT to seek the Kingdom of God…* Focus on Church Rules and Regulations-Romans 14:17 very clearly states the Kingdom of God is not rules and regulations but revelation of righteousness, peace, and joy given by the Holy Spirit.-Galatians 2:4-5 talks about the evil of legalistic religious thinking which leads to bondage.-This includes putting up doctrinal walls and comparing your works with other Christians… -Leader worship and denomination worship.-It can even include taking pleasure in your own “right-ness”.How NOT to seek the Kingdom of God…* Performance Christianity-A sure way to not find or experience the Kingdom of God is to perform to please God.-Giving that leads to “giving up”.-Pursuing positions in the church.-Pleasing others before pleasing God.-Lives that announce our presence and not HIS Presence. How NOT to seek the Kingdom of God…* Living in the Past-Working around mountains of offence and bitterness that grow.-Self-help and trauma study leading you into labels and away from freedom.-Remembering all the great Christian things you have done in the past. How NOT to seek the Kingdom of God…* Letting the Culture Influence You.-Researching worldly ideas of a well-balanced and healthy life (marriage, parenting, protection).-Letting culture and social media define success.-Letting the culture define productivity and achievement.-Letting the culture define stability.-Letting the culture shape your expectations. This is a short list of how NOT to seek the Kingdom of God on earth and it isn’t conclusive but I believe the Holy Spirit gave it to me to adjust our spiritual focus. It is time to not lean so heavily on natural realm focus.Remember, the result of listening to Jesus and Seeking First His Kingdom is all the goodies of life will be added to you as well…blessings that come upon your soul and body.As I wrap up, I want to bring our attention to a man who perfectly sought God’s Kingdom Realm on earth. As humans we love to have a good example of how to do something. What is so wonderful about this man is he left us his writings so that we could listen and see what it is like to have a perfectly focused Kingdom perspective. His name is Paul and he wrote two thirds of the New Testament. God thought he was skilled enough in Kingdom living that he allowed Paul’s letters to be living WORD. Paul lived by believing. He clung to God’s Word and nothing else. The Holy Spirit was his only navigator.Paul teaches us that life, true life, is not of this world, but it is in the heavenly calling, the heavenly realm, and in our heavenly life given to us through Jesus Christ. He teaches us that we were born again to be heavenly lights in this dark world as witnesses of Christ’s power to change lives. -Brian Simmons in his notes on the book of Philippians, TPT.When God personally told Paul he was going to Rome to testify about Jesus, there wasn’t a person or storm that could stop him. Even well-meaning Christians said they saw in a vision he would be bound up in chains in hopes to warn him and have him change course. He wasn’t moved and kept his God given course. He kept the Word God gave him in a tight embrace. Fear never dictated his actions. When he was bound and put on a prison ship, the ship was caught in a two week long hurricane. Everyone on the ship was gripped in the fear of death, prisoners and soldiers alike. Paul told them, “Keep up your courage! I know that God will protect you as He told me He would.” Focus on the Kingdom of God is focus on His Word..He held the Word of God and never let it go. This is passionately seeking the Kingdom of God on earth, first. Here is the voice of a Kingdom citizen seeking the fullness of the Kingdom with all his heart:“{My goal is} that I may be enriched in the REALITY of knowing Jesus Christ and embrace Him as Lord in all His greatness”. My passion is to be consumed with Him and not cling to my own “righteousness” based in keeping the written Law. My only “righteousness” will be His, based on the faithfulness of Jesus Christ-the very righteousness that comes from God. And I continually long to know the wonders of Jesus more fully and to experience the overflowing power of His resurrection working in me…I admit that I haven’t yet acquired the absolute fullness that I’m pursuing, but I run with passion into His abundance so that I may reach the purpose for which Christ Jesus laid hold of me to make His own. I don’t depend on my own strength to accomplish this: however I do have one compelling focus; I forget all of the past as I fasten my heart to the future instead.Paul, Philippians 3: 8, 9-13 TPTHe desired everyday to be enriched (make life more valuable, abundant, and a life of quality) in the reality of KNOWING Jesus more fully.I am going to end with that. Take a minute and answer for yourself, “What does knowing Jesus mean to me”.Listen to the podcast to hear my answer.Until next time,Thank you for listening, Pastor Teresa To receive a new post every week, subscribe below. Kingdom School, Session 2: "The Best of Both Worlds"
The Holy Spirit dropped this in my spirit, “The Kingdom of God on earth is the best of both worlds”.He saved the best for last.I decided to research the origin of the saying, “The best of both worlds”. It didn’t surprise me that it is a very common English language idiom, but did you know it originated in the 19th century with preachers who were teaching that the Kingdom of God is the best of heaven and the best of earth? To say I treasure the voice of the Holy Spirit would be an understatement! He is amazing! The best of both worlds is the best of the things of heaven and the things of earth. As believers in Jesus Christ we can live in the balance… here and now… the best of heaven and the best of earth. Living in the beautiful balance of spiritual realities and natural realities. We can be fully living an abundant natural life and fully awakened to supernatural possibilities.God foreshadowed this when He spoke a blessing on His chosen people as they entered the land of His promises:You will have days like heaven on earth. (Deuteronomy 11:21)Stop for a minute and take a deep natural breath. Fill your lungs with air and exhale slowly. As a result, notice how your brain awakens and your shoulders relax. Now take a spiritual breath. John 20:22 reveals to us there is a spiritual breath. After His resurrection from the dead, Jesus breathes over His followers and says, “Receive the Holy Spirit”. Let the breath of the Holy Spirit fill your inner man with His life and light. Every burden dissolves and His grace takes over. Now take a third breath and combine the two…the best of both worlds…living in the balance…days like heaven on earth.A new perspective. In the previous session, we got fired up over the return of the King’s dominion. Jesus gave us His authority and we have returned to our original purpose to subdue the darkness. We heard the call: “Take up your arms!” Passionate believers are seizing the promises of God, darkness is being pierced by swords of light, spiritual territory is being taken, the victory is in Christ, and we are in a life-changing wake-up call to our identity as overcomers! He gave us authority, not over man, but sickness and demonic activity! Amen and a big high-five!In the wonderful rhythm of the Holy Spirit, this session we are going to shift from “taking up arms” to returning to “our Heavenly Father’s arms”. It is in this powerful position we build identity. To take dominion we need to be built up in the identity Jesus gave us when we were born-again. We have entered the gateway or portal of the cross and the first thing we did was come into the arms of our Creator, our Father God.Immediately after He rose from the dead, He told Mary, who saw Him first…He is not only My Father and God, but NOW He is your Father and God! (John 20:17 TPT)Because of Jesus, you and I get to return home. We come through the door of life (Jesus’ Tree of Life) and are joyfully greeted by our good Father.Rest.We are allowed to rest from our works and fall into the arms of our Father God; an embrace restored. The word rest can also mean “a leisurely walk”.Adam and Eve, while in the garden, would take a leisurely walk in the cool of the day with their Father. I imagined it was a time to lean into the “crook” of their Father’s arm, feel His breath on their cheek, and listen to His wisdom. True rest is found in right relationship with God.The gift of righteousness given by Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21) is a given identity that allows us to be comfortable resting with the Creator, Yahweh. True rest is found in right relationship with God.Lean in. Rest. Relax. Trust. Listen. Breathe. There will always be dust in the natural realm reality, but its time to choose to lean in to our Father’s Kingdom realm reality.Return to the Garden of Eden. The Hebrew word Eden means delight, pleasure, luxury, and softness. The root word of Eden means abundance, increase, and joy. The name Garden of Eden means “place of His divine Presence”. The coming of the Kingdom of God on earth means we return to the Garden of God on earth- a location within a location.Jesus made a way, not only to wash us of the dust of sin and death, but return us to the place of perfect rest in the Father’s Presence…nothing broken, nothing missing. We live in the natural realm and we live in His divine Presence surrounded by His Promises. A reality within a reality. The best of both worlds. Living in the balance.Which reality has the greater influence on your mind?Kingdom MindsetIt is your choice to have a Kingdom mindset. The mind is what sets humanity apart from the animal kingdom. The mind is made of two elements, one natural and one supernatural. The brain and the soul. The brain is a natural organ and if a surgeon and his scalpel had to go in and repair it, he could. It processes natural realm information. The soul is not natural. A surgeon could not open the chest and find the soul because it is of another reality. The soul is supernatural. It is our mind’s eye. It is where our will, our opinions, our perspectives, and our emotions reside. When we are of sound mind we are operating in the best of both worlds: the brain and the soul. The mind must be set. The mind must be set to operate from the Kingdom of God. It doesn’t happen automatically when you are born-again into the Kingdom. As a Kingdom citizen, we must understand the importance of mindset. Since you have been raised with Christ, set your mind on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life in now hidden in Christ, in God. (Colossian 3:1-2 NIV)Christ’s resurrection is your resurrection too. This is why we are to yearn for all that is above, for that’s where Christ sits enthroned at the place of all power, honor, and authority. Yes, feast on all the treasures of the heavenly realm and fill your thoughts with heavenly realities, and not with the distractions of the natural realm. (Colossians 3:1-2 TPT)Our responsibility is to be aware of our thoughts. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:5 NIV)Think on every good thing Jesus promised you. Let His Truth be the primary voice. Do not let natural realm storms and opinions raise their voice against His promises of life and love. Set your mind on Kingdom realities. How?Make studying the Word of God (scripture) important. Sit with the life-giving truth of the written Word of God like you would sit with a perfect friend and counsellor. Make your relationship with the bible personal. Know Him face to face. Deep cries unto deep. The Kingdom’s influence on our life is determined by our response. Will you embrace His promises or place them apart from your life in the hope they are true? Believing every word God has spoken over you is a response. Your response is what is deeply valuable to God.Jesus said it this way,I am the Resurrection and the Life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live…AND whoever lives by believing in Me will never die. Do you believe this?(John 11:25-26)The AND that Jesus added to this truth is not a repeat of what was already said. It is a different level of believing that we are invited into. He is speaking of two different believers; one who doesn’t advance into faith’s perfection and one who chooses to have a Kingdom Mindset! The response of the first believer is to believe that death has power to end a timeline of a believer on the earth, but resurrection life will follow. This believer, while living on earth, has a natural realm mindset …but will go to heaven. To this believer the power of death in the natural realm is great. It even determines doctrines…The response of the second believer is to live by believing God’s every word and death (and the fear of death) can never alter the will of God and the promises of God in their life. Death doesn’t become an inevitable end but just a blip on the timeline of eternity. This is Kingdom mindset. It isn’t distracted by the natural realm but focuses on heavenly realities. Natural realm mindset is focused on death. Remember the disciples in the boat when the tempest rocked them? Their eyes saw the power of the natural realm. Those who are motivated by the flesh only pursue what benefits themselves. But those who live by the impulses of the Holy Spirit are motivated to pursue spiritual realities. For the mindset of the flesh is death, but the mindset controlled by the spirit finds life and peace. (Romans 8:5-6 TPT, Second Edition)Remember the reality Jesus lived in while resting in the front of the boat? The storm was beating on His body too, but He was asleep…life and peace were His atmosphere.Jesus is asking you and I, even now, will you be a believer who will see with only natural eyes or will you live by believing, and see with the eyes of His Kingdom?Kingdom mindset is centered on Jesus. His experience is our experience.Whoever has My commands (Words) and keeps them is the one who loves Me. The one who loves Me will be loved by My Father…and I will love them and manifest myself to them. (John 14:21 KJV)Believing is “loving” according to Jesus. When we live by believing we get to see Jesus manifested in our natural realm experience and we experience His tangible love. When we are loved, we enter rest.Humanity is searching for this rest- a return to Eden’s abundance, joy, and position…in the crook of the Father’s arm.The natural realm is not greater than the Kingdom realm. Everything we see in the natural realm was created by God’s Word. It is, by design, responsive to the Words of Jesus. Speak Kingdom promises over the natural realm and it must be transformed. God’s word spoken with authority out of the mouth of a Kingdom citizen dissolves mountains .Kingdom mindset positions us to experience the best of both worlds. This is an ongoing series and I’m excited to take this journey with you. I haven’t mastered the Kingdom Mindset, but I desire to…When I teach the Kingdom principles I sense the anointing of Jesus flowing through me for you. It is an amazing experience. I saw in the Spirit while praying last week, a beautiful ivory page turn in an ancient book. The page was blank. It is time, for us all, to write a new chapter .Join us every week, here online, or in person. Kingdom School, Session 1: "Is the Kingdom of God in Heaven or on Earth?"
Welcome to Kingdom School!Lord, may the glory of Your Name be the center on which our lives turn…This journey began with writing The Jesus Handbook and sharing the red letters of our Savior as a guide to life. As believers we must sit close to Jesus’ words to begin His life in us. They are seeds planted in the soil of our heart that grow into a life of freedom. Then came Holy Spirit School. The Holy Spirit changes everything! He nurtures those seeds into great trees. He unveils every truth Jesus gave us and they become a reality in us. He floods us with revelation-light!Our next stop is learning about the glorious Kingdom of God. The Kingdom is a whole new way of seeing life on earth. The Kingdom is our return to the garden our loving God designed for us to live in.Where is the Kingdom?Let’s start with an important question: “Is the Kingdom of God in heaven or on the earth? Our answer begins in Matthew 6:33.Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things (what you should wear, eat, drink, etc.) shall be added to you. (NKJV)So above all, constantly chase after the realm of God’s Kingdom and the righteousness that proceeds from Him. Then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly. (TPT)We will have no need to seek after clothing, food, water in heaven. If God says to seek, we can find, and as a result of finding, He assures us everything we need, here on earth, will fall into place. God’s Kingdom in heaven came to earth with Jesus Christ. His Kingdom has burst into this world’s reality. A reality within a reality. As you passionately seek God’s Kingdom above all else, He will supply all your needs. So don’t ever be afraid, dearest friends! Your loving Father joyously gives you His Kingdom with all its promises. (Luke 12:31-32 TPT)The promises of God for eternal life, salvation, and abundant life are in the center of His Kingdom Realm…on earth AND in the heavenly realm.Every persistent seeker of the Kingdom of God will find it. Jesus teaches us, “Ask and the gift is yours. Seek and you’ll discover. Knock and the door will be opened for you…every persistent seeker will find it.” (Matthew 7:7-8 TPT)Where is it? Where do I knock? He says, “Ask”. Deep breath. I can ask. Can you? Even little children can ask. He said we would need to be like a little child to even enter. Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 18:3)Just an interesting side note: The gospel of Matthew is the only gospel that uses the term “the kingdom of heaven”. He uses it over thirty times and “kingdom of God” under five times. The reason is cultural sensitivity to his readers. Jewish people even to this day do not write the name of “God”. This is out of reverence to His holy name. Matthew used the term “heaven” to not offend them. The terms may be used interchangeably. When did His Kingdom come to earth? When do you think the prayer Jesus taught His disciples was answered? Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:10)Will it be in the last days? Or has His Kingdom come?Let’s turn together to Luke 9:1-2. Jesus tells us Himself.Jesus summoned together His twelve apostles and imparted to them authority over every demon and the power to heal every disease. Then He commissioned them to proclaim God’s Kingdom and to heal the sick to demonstrate that the Kingdom had arrived. (Luke 9:1-2 TPT)Kingdom becomes the King’s domain. What was the sign the Kingdom of God was breaking through into the natural realm? The sign was dominion over darkness which included sickness and demonic oppression. The chapter preceding this one we get to see Jesus demonstrating the Kingdom of God . In chapter eight of Luke, Jesus 1) took authority over the wind and the waves, 2) He took authority over demons tormenting the man in the cemetery, 3) He held authority over sickness just by His identity when the woman with the issue of blood touched His garment, and 4) He had authority over death when He commanded the little girl to come back to life. Wow! All in one chapter! The King had come with dominion. And then in chapter 9, He imparted that authority to His followers. When He did this He announced the arrival of God’s Kingdom Realm on earth. “Seek the Kingdom” becomes a call to operate in a new identity released by Jesus Christ. Our Original Purpose was to have Dominion. To understand better what Jesus imparted to us we need to go back to the beginning. Back to the garden of Eden and remember our original purpose as humanity. Why did God create man and woman in the first place? God always has a plan. And God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth on the earth.” So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created He him; male and female created He them. And He blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion…over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” (Genesis 1: 26-28 KJV)Let them have Dominion.God blessed them.Subdue the earth…And have dominion.God placed them in a garden (in the natural realm) that, when cared for, it was designed to increase and take over the darkness of the earth. They were made in God’s own likeness and when He said, “Light Be!”, light pierced the darkness like a sword. Darkness experienced a violent take over. He gave them a purpose and it wasn’t to have a ton of children. It was to subdue the rampant darkness. Their purpose was to be the light of the world; a sword to pierce the darkness. The Two TreesIn the garden, God placed two trees. One of them was the Tree of Life. In the original ancient Hebrew it is called Etz Chaim. The ancient meaning of Etz (tree) is “a concentration of power that leads to a doorway, a passageway, a portal”. It is a gateway from natural to supernatural. The other Etz (tree) was the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. They were not to partake of this tree. But they did. When they “entered” the portal of that tree everything changed. They entered a different reality. Everything shifted. What was seen, heard, and felt became a heavier reality than God’s voice. They began to carry the burden of “reasoning”. They had to put their hand to “dust” maintenance. From dust they came and dust they would return…They had to carry their own body over the earth until it died and returned to the dust. They had the burden of “self”. They were responsible for what to wear, eat, and drink. They had to “seek these first” or die. They entered the curse of sin and death.God speaks of a grievous reality when He says in Genesis 3:16, “You will desire to dominate your husband. But he will want to dominate you.” Instead of dominating the darkness and every “creeping thing”. They wanted to dominate one another. But Jesus. God had a plan. A new “Etz” to enter.Jesus said, “I am the door.”I speak to you an eternal truth: I am the gate for the flock…I am the gateway. To enter through Me is to experience life, freedom, and satisfaction. (John 10:7-9 TPT)Jesus is our gateway to the Kingdom of God on earth and heaven. Galatians 3:13 tells us He became a curse by hanging on a tree…thereby dissolving the curse for us. The cross is a tree…an ETZ that we can enter. But we must have a posture to enter this door. It is narrow.Once we find the door we must bow low. We must leave everything behind and enter without anything in our arms. Once we enter we come through a force beyond anything we have ever known. A force of Jesus’ righteousness and holiness. We are pierced by a revelation of His gift of righteousness (Hebrews 5 TPT).Seek first God’s Kingdom AND His righteousness…Receiving His gift of righteousness is essential to return to our God ordained purpose, dominion. His gift of righteousness equips us with identity in Christ. Then we can pierce the darkness with light.Revelation of being the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21) precedes all other revelations. Revelation is what breaks us through into God’s Kingdom Realm which is expanding now on the earth:The Kingdom is not discovered in one place or another, for God’s Kingdom realm is already expanding within some of you. (Luke 17:21 TPT)The Kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking (rules and regulations) but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. (Romans 14:17)If you want to read a picture of the Kingdom of God breaking through upon the earth go to Mark 9:1-8. On the mountain, Jesus supernaturally transforms into white light before the eyes of Peter, James, and John and He is joined by Moses and Elijah, the LAW and the PROPHECY. Peter responds by declaring they need to make a memorial with human hands. God Almighty responds to Peter by overwhelming everyone with His Presence. He speaks, ”This is My most dearly loved Son-always listen to Him!” His words echoed over the mountain.Following this earth shaking event, the scripture says that when they looked around they only saw Jesus! He took the place of the LAW and the PROPHET. He became the WORD OF GOD on earth. The King had come and His Kingdom had arrived! The Kingdom is an alternate reality influenced by one voice, Jesus Christ. Listen to Him and you will be in the center of God’s Kingdom realm. Jesus is our prototype. His experience becomes ours. What voice has the most influence in your life? Your answer determines your primary reality.“Listen to Him!”“They only saw Jesus.”Living in the Kingdom of God is not a skill you need to learn like a new language. As believers in Jesus Christ we already know how. When Jesus loves us, when the Holy Spirit comforts us, when we read the bible and it shifts something inside us…we are in the center of God’s Kingdom. The Kingdom becomes a new way of seeing and perceiving what is real. The natural realm is all around us…the joys and the storms, but the Kingdom of God is in our hearts. This is why our heart condition is so important to our Father God.It isn’t the bad report that rocks us, it is how our hearts perceive the report. Learning to live in the center of God’s Kingdom Realm here on earth is learning to trust God with all our heart so that we, who were blind, may see. This will be an ongoing series. I’m excited to take this journey with you.Until next time,Pastor Teresa This is a public episode. Holy Spirit School, Session 22: "Deep Cries Unto Deep"
The Holy Spirit comforts us in the deep places.“My deep need calls out to the kindness of your love.” Psalm 42:7 TPTOur internal conflicts are a conflict of values. It is the deep places where our core values rest. These values are what we consider important, beneficial , or a priority. In the world one person might value accomplishment and another compassion. One might value wild celebrations and another a peaceful, well appointed home. One values the opinion of a chosen leader and another their own personal vows. One may value morality and another the courage to break any set rules. Our experience in this natural world will shape our values until we made Jesus the Lord of our life. How can you believe, when you receive glory from one another and do not seek the glory that comes from the only God? John 5:44 ESVOld values can get in the way of belief, causing our heart to be troubled. What values are fastened to your heart? You will never have peace if you place a higher value on the opinions of men than that of God.When your own abilities and excellent reasoning hold a high place in your heart, failure will deeply disturb your heart.Jesus valued His Father’s words above everything…even His own thoughts. (John 17:6-10)In John 17 Jesus says, “Sanctify them with Your Truth, Father” Sanctification is a process of exchanging values. (Read that again)We, as believers and filled with His Holy Spirit, are shifting from asking God to bless what we value to allowing ourselves to be counselled in the deep places. He will bring us to the question, “Why do I want that so bad?” The Holy Spirit is beautifully reshaping our values to reflect Jesus.Jesus had one value, to honor the voice of His Father. Because of this, He was at peace. If we are ready to reflect Jesus we must value the Word of God above all else. The One who teaches us in every moment this value is the precious Holy Spirit. In the difficulty, remember that Truth is on trial. What you value and believe should be the Truth. The outcome will always be for your good. The more truth you value, the more you become comfort to others in their trial.Next time your heart is troubled, ask the Holy Spirit, “What have I valued above your word.”(Please listen to this entire episode to get a more in depth understanding.)Blessings,Pastor Teresa This is a public episode. Holy Spirit School, (LAST) Session 30: "In Summary..."
This is our last session. It has been such a beautiful journey. The Holy Spirit has been our guide every step of the way. He has personally revealed Himself to each of us. This is not the end of our study but just the beginning. The glory of His Presence has shined and we will never be the same. One thing is for sure, we know we are not alone in this new-creation life. Please listen to this audio of this last session. At the end we get to hear members of the class share their experiences in Holy Spirit School. As our worship leader, Shana, shared, “This is ‘grad’ night. We are ‘grad’-ually moving more and more into His image.” Amen.So this session is a summary. It is a jarful of statements made during Holy Spirit School that stood out to me. As the sessions unfolded, we realized His voice would highlight certain truths to certain people in specific ways. He is a personal counsellor and comfort. Here are the ones that hit me in my TRUTH center! The Holy Spirit’s name is Ruach Hakadesh (BREATH HOLY). The Word of God came forth through the Breath, from the Heart of the Father. This is Elohim, the Trinity, the three-fold Godhead: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the well-spring of LIFE in Heaven and on Earth. We know God and His works of love through the life of Jesus Christ. We know God’s heart through the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit who removes the calluses from your heart so that you can love God with ALL of your heart. The Spirit of Holiness brings holiness to your inner man and perfect rest to your soul.Jesus said, “My Father will give you the Holy Spirit. He will never leave you. You will know Him intimately because He remains in you and will LIVE WITHIN YOU” (John 14:16-17).Our job is to remain tender and teachable under His influence.Your heart (your believing center) was made to cling to truth. The deceiver brings a lie that your heart perceives as truth. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth. He unveils to us God’s perfect truth and cleans our heart of lies. The Holy Spirit has full dominion in the realm of the Spirit. The realm of the Spirit is the Kingdom of God realm. The Holy Spirit counsels us regarding living in this new reality. He connects us to Heaven’s realities here on earth. He alone is the way we are in two places at once.“God unveils these profound realities to us by the Spirit.” 1 Corinthians 2:10-14The Holy Spirit is able to be our greatest influence. He influences the “knowing” part of our being. He dwells in the “knowing” place. “I know I am going to Heaven” was made real because of the Holy Spirit. He will release the power of the Word of God into the “knowing” part of your heart. He unlocks the mysteries of God and freedom is the result. The deeper the influence of the Holy Spirit on your life (primarily your thought-life) the more you look like Jesus. The Holy Spirit helps us remember our new reality. The Truth of God is our new reality. It is a superior reality…what we see, hear, or feel in the natural realm is an inferior reality. Our job is focus and mindset. Our focus is to yield to the Holy Spirit and let Him expand the reality of the Kingdom Realm within us…the natural realm WILL shift. When we experience the Holy Spirit there is evidence in the natural realm. This is called the fruit of the Holy Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.Drink deeply the Truth of Jesus Christ. A river is the result. The river is the Holy Spirit (John 7:37-38) flowing into and out of you. The river is His joy and delight that flows into His dwelling places (Psalm 46:4).The Holy Spirit is always moving and always increasing. The fruit of the spirit are not elements of good character or good works. The fruit of the spirit are a result of being filled with the influence of the Holy Spirit. This is similar to a tree that pulls life from the roots and soaks in life from above; the life-source is flowing to the branches and the result is good fruit.Remember the beautiful revelation of the infinity symbol and the covenant between God and Jesus Christ, His Son. In John 17:21, Jesus speaks to the Father, “I pray that they might be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.” (The infinity symbol is the letter 8 on its side). The Holy Spirit is the movement maintaining the reality of this eternal Truth…continuously alive, moving, breathing, life eternal. We are found at the center, at the crossing… inside the covenant between the Father and the Son. Perfect balance. Perfect Unity. Perfect Security. Perfect Life. This is “where we live, and move, and have our being (Acts 17:28). Stay synchronized to His breath.Do sin, sickness, weakness, or wounds hinder our relationship with the Holy Spirit? No, it is the opposite according to 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 which speaks, “His power finds its full expression in our weakness. Our weakness becomes a portal to His power.” Our Savior also says, “My glory is revealed through their surrendered lives” (John 17:10). He does not say His glory is revealed in your perfect life. Surrender your weaknesses (and your strengths) and the glory will be revealed.God’s anointing oil is able to carry away our burdens. The Holy Spirit flows with God’s anointing. The Holy Spirit is the oil. Jesus was and is soaked in His oil. When He went to the cross , He was crushed and pressed. The oil flowed. Now we can be filled.“God Himself has anointed you. He is constantly strengthening you in your union with Christ. He has identified you as His by placing the Holy Spirit in your hearts.” 2 Corinthians 1:21The oil has a scent that identifies you. The scent is Truth. The scent is Jesus Christ. The oil ignites the flame. Fellowship with the Holy Spirit ignites the holy flame. The flame identifies us to others and to Jesus (The parable of the 10 maidens). This is not for a church or denomination…this is a personal choice.“To KNOW Him through your deepening intimacy with Him” is God’s definition of wealth (Ephesians 1:17). The riches of the Spirit are the greatest riches and they are only discovered through a life of prayer and awareness of His Presence within you. These riches meet every need. These riches are to know Him, hear Him, trust Him, commune with Him, and become like Him.You are the Holy temple of God. You are His mobile sanctuary. You carry Heaven’s realities.. You carry His Words, His Voice, and the Power of God. You are the keeper of the Holy Fire. The Holy Spirit is not unveiling your sin. He is revealing your true identity. He is unveiling the riches of an inheritance already deposited in you. He comforts us with this reality. The Holy Spirit is the Secret Place of Psalm 91. The irony is there are no secrets here. No matter what happens in your life on earth you have the ability to retreat to the full knowledge of God in the Secret Place. We expand the Secret Place atmosphere by praying in the Spirit. Praying in the Spirit is an access point to the deeper places of His anointing. “The Holy Spirit inside you searches the deep things of God and makes them known to you.” 1 Corinthians 2:10The overcoming, triumphant power of God flows in the Blood of Jesus. The Anointing is the burden removing, yoke destroying power of God. The Anointing flows in the Blood. The Anointing flows in you, freeing you from every wound. “All who come to Jesus join their life with His- we know and have proof that He continually lives and flourishes in us by the Spirit He has given us” (1 John 3:24). The Holy Spirit reveals to us the power of the Blood that we have access to as a believer in Jesus.By the baptism of the Holy Spirit, we are submerged in the knowledge of God. We are submerged in His voice. He lovingly defines us. He calls us chosen, child, forgiven, beloved, and always eternally united to Him. He tells us who God is. He doesn’t counsel us to remove our sin, Jesus did that. He doesn’t counsel us to get in right standing with God, Jesus did that too. He DOES counsel us in our true identity with Jesus. The Holy Spirit takes up residence in you for your sake. Then you are clothed with power for the sake of others. We are like the clay jars that were filled with a miracle at the wedding feast at Cana. We received the water of the Word and believed. When we believed a powerful transformation took place and God’s best filled us. We were transformed from a jar that focused on our own purification…a jar found empty…to a new, holy vessel, filled and continuously purified by the Blood of Jesus. This was a miracle we were unable to perform for ourselves. He saved the best for last! The Holy Spirit is the One who leads us in this new holy vessel.“Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? For God’s temple is holy and you are that holy temple.” 1 Corinthians 3:16Christianity is not a belief system, it is the miracle of God LIVING inside of man!You are either diminishing or growing in the fire of God. To grow in the fire is to allow the fullness of God to invade our hearts. The Holy Spirit leads us in the ongoing process of sanctification. Sanctification is a process of exchanging your values for His values. He is the One who keeps you. You do not keep yourself. You are mentoring to others how valuable His Presence is to you.Your life is not on display, His Presence is.His Presence is more important than people…but it is people who are precious to His Presence. It is time to minister from the throne room of His love.Every answer you need is found in a fresh baptism of His love. Love and Time are the essential keys to living a life led by the Spirit. Be continuously soaked in love and spend your time with Him.Connection is our focus. The power flow is His and breakthrough is the result.“The only thing that really matters is living by the transforming power of the new creation life.” Galatians 6:15How to live the new creation life: “The grace of Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 13:14The Holy Spirit is speaking to us: “I can make this easy.”Every revelation is given by the Holy Spirit. The only thing that brings lasting peace and joy is an identity transformed by revelation light. And the scripture most repeated in this study:“Now is the time to be made new by every revelation that has been given to you. Be transformed as you embrace the glorious Christ-within as your new life and live in union with Him! For God has recreated you all over again in His perfect righteousness, and now you belong to Him in the realm of true holiness.” Ephesians 4:23-24 TPTYou belong to Him in the realm of the Holy Spirit.Blessings and a heartfelt thank you for joining me,Pastor Teresa Hoffman( There is more to come…stay tuned.)Holy Ground Life Newsletter is a reader-supported publication. Holy Spirit School, Session 29: "Now is the Time"
The only thing that qualifies me to teach on the Holy Spirit is spending time with the Holy Spirit. There is no scholarly study that takes the place of experiencing Him in intimate fellowship. This is the only qualification He desires. This week’s session began on Sunday with these words shared with the congregation by Pastor John Dunn, “It is time for us to walk in this Truth, it is not just a time to talk about it.”The Truth is released by the Holy Spirit. When we allow the transformation of our mind-set by the Holy Spirit everything changes and we experience His reality.Experience: “The law of the Spirit in Christ Jesus has set us free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2).” In the NLT translation it reads, “The power of the LIFE giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.” The MSG translation adds another depth of understanding with this phrase, “A NEW power is in operation.” And in verse 4 of the TPT it reads, “So NOW every righteous requirement of the law can be fulfilled through the Anointed One living His LIFE in us. And we are free to live, not according to the flesh, but by the dynamic power of the Holy Spirit!”NOW is the time.“The mind-set of the Spirit finds life and peace.” Romans 8:6bWhat is going on in your world right now? Life and peace? “Now is the time to be made new by every revelation given to you (Ephesians 4:23) .” By whom? By the Anointed One living His life within you…not your own effort. Everything you have learned about the Holy Spirit is poised to come alive when you experience Him.Jesus said, “This is eternal life (Now, not the sweet by and by), to KNOW and EXPERIENCE the Father and the Son (John 17:3) Now is the time to LIVE.(Listen to the audio of my testimony of a prophetic vision before 2020)Now is the time to be the kind of believer who is Holy Spirit led.All of us who live in the world are experiencing heartache, frustration, loss, confusion, disappointment etc. You are not alone in troubles. But we have a choice. We can set our mind on Him. We can experience the battle WITH Him.The disciples and Jesus had a conversation (Matthew 16:15-19) and it went like this: “What are the people saying about Me?-Jesus. They replied, “Some are convinced You are John the Baptizer, others Elijah reincarnated, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets…” Jesus pressed, “But you…Who do you say that I AM?” Peter: “You are the Anointed One, the Son of the Living God!” Jesus: “You are favored and highly privileged! You didn’t discover this on your own, but My Father in heaven has supernaturally revealed this to you!”Peter had a choice to listen to half-truths from the world or listen to the Holy Spirit. We can only know the Truth through revelation given to us by the Living God. This is the Kingdom of God realm in our lives; revelation is expanding the borders inside of us. Peter had shifted into the Kingdom of God realm by this revelation. This is where the Holy Spirit-led believer lives and operates. He is speaking His identity right now to you. He is speaking your identity in Him right now, as well. It’s time to listen.“Unless you drastically change your way of thinking…(read that again)…and become teachable and learn about Heaven’s Kingdom realm with the wide-eyed wonder of a child, you will never be able to enter in (Matthew 18:2).”—JesusThe realm is here now. It is a present reality. It is not just a future hope. The Kingdom Realm of God is expanding within you (Luke 17:21) as you choose to be influenced by the Holy Spirit.Jesus taught us the Kingdom Realm is a treasure to be found. “The Kingdom of Heaven is like hidden treasure in a field which a man found and hid. For the joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.” Matthew 13:44EFFORT. FOCUS. PURSUIT. PLAN TO PURCHASE. MAKE A PAYMENT.The Kingdom of God (Fun fact: Matthew likes the term “Heaven” because he still wants to take the Jewish position and refrain from writing “God”) is made of gems of Truth.“You can’t even see the treasures of the Kingdom Realm unless you are born-again (John 3:3).”—Jesus. We have a super power! Sight. Why would we put on the goggles of this world’s viewpoint? My favorite Kingdom realm scripture is Colossians 3:2 TPT: “Feast on all the treasures of the heavenly realm and fill your thoughts with heavenly realities, and not with the distractions of the natural realm.” Our thoughts eat! When you are nourished with heavenly realities you are filled and satisfied. You were re-born for this food. These delicious truths feed our soul and restore it. Remember Jesus’ words in Revelations 3:20, “I will come and dine with you.”WITHOur new life is lived WITH Him. In any difficulty and any triumph you battle WITH Him. Our greatest enemy in this world is a lie of “separation” from God. When you believed in Jesus you entwined your life WITH His. We battle WITH Him. Focus on Him not the evil report. The Lord highlighted this to me in prayer one morning. I wrote these statements down and He said to focus on the word WITH. He said it is an acronym. And then He spoke:The W means: You are washed clean. In the battle, focus on the fact you are cleansed perfectly. You are washed, cleansed, set apart, and declared righteous (1 Corinthians 6:11). You are now the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ and declared flawless in His eyes (Romans 5:1, 2 Corinthians 5:21). The blood of Jesus Christ continually cleanses you from all sin (1 John 1:7). When you KNOW this, you have boldness in the battle. The first thing the enemy will try to convince you of is this: you are a disgrace to God. It weakens your stance. But if you know you are washed clean and perfectly justified to stand with Him, the battle turns to victory. The I means: Focus on the Identity of Jesus. When Jesus was in the garden before His crucifixion, the guards came asking for Him and He said, “I AM HE!” And everyone fell back under the power of those Words. There is supernatural power that flows through absolutely pure virtue. Look to Jesus and access that virtue. 1 John 3:3 declares a powerful reality for the believer, “All who focus on Him will be purifying themselves just as Jesus is pure.” We have the false idea that if we focus on ourselves to perfect our walk with Him we will please God and He will reward us with victory. The truth tells us to focus on Him and it will straighten out everything else and place us in the center of victory. Jesus is authority. Jesus is peace. Look at Him in the battle. The T means: We are Together WITH Him. Matthew 11:28 is the “T” experience with our Savior: “Come to Me all who are burdened and I will give you rest. Take My yoke (“T”) upon you and learn of Me. I am humble and gentle and will bring rest to your soul.” This is experiencing the covenant between you and God ratified by Jesus Christ. Remember you are never on your own.“If God is for me, who can stand against me? (Romans 8:31)The H means: Place the eyes of your heart on Heaven. See yourself in your eternal Home. See the continuous Hallelujah! See yourself seated with Jesus in the “It is finished” place. No more battles. All are won. “Every tear gone, death no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away” (Revelations 21:4). The place of perfect rest. Rest there with your focus. God “sees the end from the beginning” and so can you because you are made in His image. “You are made complete in your union with Christ.” Colossians 2:10Jesus said, “Apart from Me you can do nothing.” A powerful Truth for you and I.Now read these Truths with the revelation of WITH:* Fill your thought WITH heavenly realities. (Colossians 3:2)* You have died WITH Christ. You have been raised WITH Christ. You are seated WITH Christ. (Ephesians 2:6)* Supernatural strength floods your inner man WITH explosive power. (Ephesians 4:16)* The Holy Spirit dwells WITH you and will be in you. He will be WITH you forever. (John 14:16-17)* “I (Jesus) will be WITH you always until the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20 The battle is WITH Him, my friend. You are not in a position of “performance”. You are ingrafted into His LIFE. We journey with Him.“And we KNOW that Jesus lives and flourishes in us because of the Holy Spirit He has given us.” (1 John 3:24) There is a God created union flourishing within you.Your remedy for every issue is found in KNOWING God and when you experience Him, the Kingdom Realm will take your life by force. Hallelujah!“Now is the time for us to progress beyond the basic message of Christ (going to Heaven) and advance into perfection!” (Hebrews 6:1)Let’s go!Blessings,Pastor TeresaHoly Ground Life Newsletter is a reader-supported publication. Holy Spirit School, Session 28: "The Spirit and the Word"
The Holy Spirit is bringing us into victory one revelation at a time.“Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him. I will dine with him and he with Me.” Revelation 3:20Dine with Me.Remember last week we read 2 Corinthians 13:14? “The grace of Jesus, the LOVE of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.” This is where we dine.Jesus said, “I am the bread of Life”. “The bread of life is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world… I AM the Bread of Life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and He who believes in Me will never thirst.” John 6:35Jesus is our spiritual nourishment. And Jesus is the Word of God.“The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory…full of grace and truth.” John 1:14The Word of Life is our bread of truth. This new creation life can only be sustained by God’s Word. This is the reality: Low Word level, low faith level. Low faith level, low power level. Low power level, low identity. Lack of identity leads to defeat. The Word of God is Jesus in print. We cannot follow Jesus by feelings. Here is the most amazing truth: It is only by the gift of the Holy Spirit we can, not just read the Word, but “eat” His Words.“I found your words and I ate them. Your words were to me a joy and the rejoicing of my heart, for I am called by Your Name.” Jeremiah 15:16He found God’s Word and THEN he ate them. Revelation is the bridge that connects finding His Word on the page and then making them a part of your being.Have you ever heard the saying, “You are what you eat”? The word of God will feed you with new-creation IDENTITY. This is of utmost importance. The Pasture“I am the DOOR. If anyone enters by Me, he or she will be saved. They will go in and go out and find pasture. The thief does not come but for to kill, steal, and destroy. but I have come that they may have life and have it more abundantly.” John 10: 9-10The Passion Translation: “I am the Gateway. To enter through Me is to experience life, freedom, and satisfaction.”The Word of God IS our PASTURE. Pasture is nourishment.I was always curious why Jesus said we go in and out, but it is the Word of God we go in and out of and find nourishment. The Holy Spirit, our Shepherd given by Jesus and the Father for us to live out His Promises on earth, is the One who guides us and leads us to the good places we can find nourishment in the Word of God. He shows us and reminds us... He sheds light on the good hills of grass.“The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; beside still waters. He restores my soul.” Psalm 23:1-3When we sit down with the Holy Spirit in the Word of God, He brings revelation light and we can eat. Our soul is restored. Our “in Christ” identity is strengthened. We sit and “eat” and go and share with others. Then we sit again and “eat”. The result is restoration.Obedience releases the anointing flowing through the Holy Spirit. Obedience can only be achieved by “knowing” who we are and who He is. Obedience IS position under the truth of God. We can only “know” the TRUTH through consuming God’s Word. We can only consume the Word of God by the Holy Spirit. This is a beautiful, circular, blessing.RevelationRevelation is not from the paper, ink, and page of the Word of God. This is called LOGOS in the Greek. LOGOS is the word without personal revelation. Revelation comes through the RHEMA of the word of God. Rhema is the breath of our Creator coming through His Words. The whole universe is held together right now through the breath of God. This is a powerful mystery unlocked by the Holy Spirit living inside of you.Rhema WORD is a timely and personal understanding of what is written. It is the power of God that opens the eyes of our understanding. It will change, in one moment, how you see your world. One Word from God changes everything! The Kingdom of God that Jesus called us to live in on the earth is a reality only understood by revelation. It is a reality that expands inside you one revelation at a time. The Holy Spirit is bringing us into total victory one revelation at a time!“ I pray that the light of God will illuminate the eyes of your imagination, flooding you with light, until you experience the full revelation of the hope of His calling—that is the wealth of God’s glorious inheritances that He finds in us His holy ones!” Ephesians 1:17 TPTIf you find it is easier to doubt the miraculous than believe…it’s time to get out of the sheep pen! The freedom of the pasture awaits! Let the Good Shepherd lead you into the nourishment of RHEMA in green pastures….hill after hill after hill……What does it feel like to be in the sheep pen:1)Being knee deep in worldly sentiment (or shall we say excrement) produced by people and their opinions. It undermines the joy and freedom we have in Jesus.2)Staying close to a false shepherd who binds people to him/herself and only listening to his/her experience of the pasture…. but in reality they stay in the pen of their “good” teachings.3)Listening to “sheep screens” that teach a culture that feeds us with lies of who we are. They are designed to deaden our believing heart and cut off the influence of the Holy Spirit.4)Beware of offence. In the pen, offence is inevitable. All you can see in there are sheep and the wolves who creep close. Offence blocks our heart from the HOLY Spirit’s influence and we stop hungering for the pasture…God’s Word.5)Watch being shepherded by your own feelings. Our feelings speak about an inferior reality. They will lead us astray. Feelings are not bad. They aren’t even an enemy of our faith. But always let the good Shepherd lead you, even while you feel the anger, the sadness, the frustration… Feeling are genetically altered truth…like GMO food, it is not healthy to be nourished by them. The revelation light of God is a superior reality. Pursue it.The only thing on this earth that brings lasting joy is identity transformed by revelation light from the Holy Spirit. When we have a new revelation of our identity in Christ, God’s power is naturally released through us into the world. We all desire the “greater works” Jesus said we would walk in. These greater works come by revelation poured out from RHEMA words. The WORD of God must not rest in our intellect. It needs to go into the center of our being. It needs to change our DNA.Lets look at this promise: “Let the weak say I am strong!” Joel 3:10 We read this scripture while going through a difficulty and, intellectually, we say “I am strong!” Inside, we don’t feel any different. But if we close our eyes and remember how we have experienced the strength of God in other seasons. If we remember when we saw the revelation of the power of God while “eating” His word. If we live in the revelation of how much God loves us. Something rises up. A new reality. A supernatural hope! And we experience spiritual warfare. The battle is turning. “I AM STRONG in the power of His might!”The warfare of the sword of the WORD of God is effective when it comes from our “knowing”. If I know there is an arsenal behind me, I will battle differently. It is time to come to grips with this reality: The same power that raised Jesus dead body from the grave dwells in you! Romans 8:11The same power that said “LIGHT BE!”The same power that created everything living. The same power that conceived Jesus Christ. The same power that empowered every work of Jesus during His time on earth. The same power that brought His sin-mauled body back to life. The same power that conceived the scriptures. The same power that conceived the church. Now tell me again what He can’t do in your life? His power is His grace, His grace is His sufficiency. His sufficiency is your remedy. If you are a true believer, you are called to operate in His power for everything, not your own. Eat the Word and you will have eyes to see His power everywhere.Blessings,Pastor TeresaHoly Ground Life Newsletter is a reader-supported publication. Holy Spirit School, Session 27: "The Helper"
Before we dig into this rich study on the Holy Spirit, our Helper, let’s get an alignment. Our bodies need one, our cars need one…it is also important for our soul to get a spiritual alignment.#1 Let’s start at the top….righteousness. “Our faith in Jesus transfers God’s righteousness to us and now He declares us flawless in his eyes. This means we can now enjoy true and lasting peace with God, all because of what our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, has done for us. Our faith guarantees us permanent access into this marvelous kindness that has given us a perfect relationship with God.” Romans 5:1Any lie that speaks otherwise…any crooked thing that brings condemnation over you is released with this truth. Alignment with Jesus is freedom.#2 Your life is no longer yours to save. You are reborn by the Spirit. What the natural man has to do, you do not. Take a deep relaxing breath with that one.#3 Your new reality is partnership with God. We now get to partner with His gift of holiness. We are released from needing to earn it.#4 You are a new creation. You do not receive by self-effort and sweat. You are reborn to receive everything by faith.#5 You are not under the burden of your plan. Remember, we get to listen to receive His beautiful plan. Shrug off the burden of performing your plan.#6 You are not a product of your environment or your choices. As a believer in Jesus Christ you have inherited a new position. You now stand in the place of inheritance ready to produce spiritual fruit or product. Freedom to be all God made you to be.#7 Grace and Mercy are abundantly available for adjustment. You do not need punishment for adjustment.#8 Money is not your master. It is your servant. You have a new set of treasures and values. His Presence and His Person is the most valuable treasure in His Kingdom. And you can receive all you want. All of heaven is powered by His Presence. And His Presence dwells in you. You have no need to seek abundance in this world…it is found in you…where His Presence resides.“The only thing that really matters is living by the transforming power of this new creation life.” Galatians 6:15The only thing that matters.Live by the power. Be transformed into the image of Jesus. The Holy Spirit is essential because we cannot do this without Him. Jesus told us in Acts 1:8 to wait for the power. This means the Holy Spirit is absolutely necessary to live the new creation life He made possible.“May the grace of Jesus, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you!” 1 Corinthians 13:14This wasn’t a nice way for Paul to close a powerful ministry letter. This was the culmination of what is essential to the new-creation life. 1) The grace of Jesus. 2) The LOVE of God. 3) The FELLOWSHIP of the Holy Spirit. We cannot function properly as a follower of Jesus without the Holy Spirit. Jesus couldn’t do what He did on this earth without Him…that means we can’t either. “What has been conceived in her (Mary) is from the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 1:20Everything He is, everything we are in Christ Jesus, is brought to life by the Holy Spirit. The church as a whole has grieved the Holy Spirit. The church has been ok with a broken relationship with the Holy Spirit. The church has seen the powerful Person of the Holy Spirit as an assistant who comes and goes…sadly, even a hall monitor to the principal…1 Corinthians 6:19 states the truth. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit. He dwells inside us and He never leaves. We have seen a church that takes the Holy Spirit for granted. Some have used Him for advancing their personal importance. Some have distrusted Him, or worse, walked the dark line of attributing His manifestations to the enemy. Some have harnessed Him by giving Him permission to move, or not. The church has grieved Him most by ignoring Him and exalting man-made doctrines that divide the body of Christ. But, mercifully, “He overwhelms our failures with generous grace” (James 1:5). A wave of mercy and grace is about to overwhelm His church. Amen! How is the Holy Spirit different than Jesus and the Father? Jesus and the Father are seated in the throne room. They release a river of grace and love without end. The Holy Spirit is with you. He is ministering deep within you a “present restoration'“. He is the One who reveals Jesus in His glory to you. He reveals the Father in His authority to you. He is the One who is transforming you to become more like Jesus. We live a life of fellowship with Him in every detail. The Holy Spirit puts you in perfect contact with the Word made flesh. He puts you in contact with the Promise living in the natural realm, the God who is available, and His mighty power.Jesus called Him our “Helper” three times and then told us to wait for Him before we were to do the works of being a Christ Follower.1)“He will give you another Helper to be with you forever.” John 14:162)“The Helper will teach you all things and help you remember everything I have told you.” John 14:263)“When the Helper comes, whom I will send from the Father, that is the Spirit of Truth, who comes from the Father, He will testify and bear witness about Me.” John 15:26The word “Helper” in Greek is Parakletos which means “to come alongside” and “to speak” in a permanent position. This word for the Holy Spirit has also been translated as Advocate, Comforter, Intercessor, Counsellor, Strengthener, Stand-by, and Friend. The Helper releases you from the responsibility to help yourself. In Aramaic, the language Jesus spoke to His disciples in, the word for Helper He used might have been NACHAM. Which means comfort when there is sorrow. It is a word used in Psalm 23 when it reads “Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, His rod and staff, comfort (nacham) me.”The church has not pursued the Helper because they are trying to follow Jesus on their own. But Jesus made it very clear we were to fellowship with the Holy Spirit and receive His Power to follow Jesus. We need Him. We cannot be a believer in this world without Him.I think we are afraid of ourselves. We see ourselves as the enemy. We fight against our own weaknesses. We are angry with our choices and angry with our own heart. Doing this, we have separated ourselves from our Savior…the beauty of perfection. “You love me so much and I keep messing up” will be our “broken record” prayer until we let the Holy Spirit into every area of our life. Then we will experience the oneness that Jesus prayed for in John 17.When we value our relationship with the Holy Spirit, He advocates (a legal helper) for us against that critical spirit that condemns our heart. When we listen to the Holy Spirit, He shows us who we really are…flawless in His sight. He makes us well. He builds Shalom connection (nothing missing, nothing broken) in our soul. Life and Peace begin to reign in all areas of our lives. Restoration process begins to unfold and the world can see what a good God He is. The fruit begins to flow.He is telling you today, “I can make this easy.”Blessings,Pastor TeresaHoly Ground Life Newsletter is a reader-supported publication. Holy Spirit School, Session 26: "Your Connection, His Breakthrough"
“The One whom God sent speaks the words of God…for God gives the Spirit without limit.” “He must increase. I must decrease.”— John the Baptist, John 3:34 and John 3:30When we decrease and the Spirit increases in our lives, there is breakthrough. We are re-born to be filled with the fullness of the Holy Spirit. All power flows through connection. It is the transformative power of the Holy Spirit in you that results in breakthrough. The same power that transformed darkness to light and death to life is transforming you from the inside out.Connection looks like John 15:5.“I am the Vine, you are the branches. As you live in union with Me as your source, fruit will be produced…but separated from Me you are powerless… Let My love continuously nourish your hearts.” -Jesus (John 15:5,9)Jesus is teaching us that connection is our job. The power is His. Breakthrough is the result. The connection is the vine (or life-giving trunk of a tree) connected to the branches. Every vein of connection is determined by our believing heart. Believing the words of Jesus open up the flow of life. Not believing shuts off the flow.“Lord, our desire is to increase the connection.”The passions, desires, opinions, fears etc. of the old man (or old way of living before you were reborn in the Spirit) have made connections. When we renew our mind to God’s truth those old connections begin to die.“Be not conformed to the world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Romans 12:2)When we pursue our relationship with the Holy Spirit and experience the goodness of God, in Him, connections are strengthened that flow with life-power.The self-life is a force within our soul that is in conflict with the Holy Spirit. These are desires that hinder spiritual growth. They can be selfishness, greed, fighting, worldly sexuality, self-indulgence etc. but it can also be a "disguised” self-life. This looks like an uncontrollable desire to put someone in their place disguising itself as justice or discernment. It can also look like an old pattern of anxiety that masquerades as personality or it can be taking your life into your own hands disguising itself as responsibility.By yielding to the Spirit we can overcome the influence of the destructive self-life and we can experience the fullness of the Spirit’s fruit. As you yield to the dynamic life and power of the Holy Spirit, you will abandon the cravings of your self-life.“When your self-life craves the things that offend the Holy Spirit you hinder him from living free within you ! And the Holy Spirit’s intense cravings hinder your self-life from dominating you! So then, the two incompatible and conflicting forces within you are your self-life of the flesh and the new creation life of the Spirit. But when you yield to the life of the Spirit, you will no longer be living under the law, but soaring above it !The behavior of the self-life is obvious: Sexual immorality, lustful thoughts, pornography, chasing after things instead of God, manipulating others, hatred of those who get in your way, senseless arguments, resentment when others are favored, temper tantrums, angry quarrels, only thinking of yourself, being in love with your own opinions, being envious of the blessings of others, murder, uncontrolled addictions, wild parties, and all other similar behavior. Haven’t I already warned you that those who use their “freedom” for these things will not inherit the kingdom realm of God!Keep in mind that we who belong to Jesus Christ have already experienced crucifixion. For everything connected with our self-life was put to death on the cross and crucified with Messiah. If the Spirit is the source of our life, we must also allow the Spirit to direct every aspect of our lives. Galatians 5:16-25 TPTThe fruit of the Spirit follows this and is listed as Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control.The fruit, that is such a beautiful expression of God’s power flowing in our lives, is not something a believer can produce on their own. The fruit are a manifestation of God’s love flowing FREELY through you. The connection is strong when the fruit is seen (and experienced) by others. The fruit of the Spirit are a unified expression of God’s character taking over your life.God could have made us glow, or look very different than the world when we were born again but instead He gave us partnership. The fruit of the Spirit make us different than the world. The Fruit of Self-ControlThe fruit of self-control is a work of God’s transformation, not a work of our own. It can look like something we do in our own power because it is called SELF control but it is no different than the others. Self-effort is not self control. All of the fruit are a product of faith and self-control is not excluded. The Passion translation calls it “strength of spirit”. My friend Tabitha Bigbee calls it “the power to choose”.In reality, self-control frees us from ourselves. It is the Holy Spirit’s ability to see me. He gives me His perspective. He shows me why I do the things I do.Without the Holy Spirit we only know ourselves by our impulses, our opinions, our desires, fears and pain. The mind of the world is designed to enslave us. The mind of the Spirit brings freedom! (2 Corinthians 3:17) Freedom IS His fruit!“When you agree with the world, you agree with the enemy.”“ If you are not pressing into the Holy Spirit, the world is pressing into you.”-Pastor John Dunn, Christian Faith CampusPressure affects the flow.Be “connection” aware, my friend. Put on the goggles of Romans 14:17 and look at your life through them. Is this joy, peace, and righteousness identity? Is it freedom and victory? Are you connected to the Word or the world? What kind of produce is flowing? Take your body as an example. If you do NOT believe the Holy Spirit can manifest in your body but an infirmity can, it is time to renew your mind to the Word of God with 1 Peter 2:24 and 1 Corinthians 6:19-20.Are you connected to religion? Connection to religion is not connection to the life flow of the Word of God. The Holy Spirit flows in grace and not religious laws. Self-effort to stay in God’s favor is a religious spirit. Middle-man leadership (needing a more holy person to hear from God for you) is religion. Pride, condemnation, frustration with God, service without love, criticisms of others, self- focused Christianity…are fruits of a religious connection. Fear of not being good enough in God’s sight is a religious connection. There is no power in a religious connection. Be “connection” aware. The Holy Spirit has been given to you to transform you to bring God glory…it is not up to us to transform ourselves. Our believing hearts determine the status of our John 15:5 connection. Connection is our part. Transformation and breakthrough are His.Even a little lie can permeate your belief system and disrupt perfect connection. Increase belief. Decrease unbelief.Until next week,Pastor TeresaWe only have 4 more sessions! If you are enjoying this, please message me. I would love to meet you and hear your story. Holy Spirit School, Session 24: "Manifestations of the Holy Spirit"
I apologize, this was sent to paid subscribers only a week ago. If you want to be a paid subscriber see the button at the bottom of this email. Thank you!So happy you are here. This bible study on who the Holy Spirit is and how we are led by Him is changing all of us. We are being transformed from the inside out!The relationship we have with the Holy Spirit is the most important relationship we have, as a believer living on earth. Through knowing Him, listening to Him, being loved by Him, and learning our identity through His lens of perfect truth, the burdens of life are being lifted. The manifestations of the Holy Spirit are simply experiencing the supernatural within the natural. His manifestations are big and small, loud, and quiet, and many of them have yet to be experienced by the church as a whole. There is no limit to what God can do. Anytime you surrender to Him, you will experience a manifestation of the Holy Spirit. He is ready to reveal Himself when we lay down ourselves. Anytime you surrender to God you’re going to experience a manifestation of His goodness, His presence, and His power. “I will pour out My Spirit upon all people. Your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams and your young men will see visions. In those days I will pour out My Spirit upon every servant, men and women alike.” Joel 2:28-29Since the Holy Spirit was released from Heaven into the church in Acts chapter two, this prophetic promise has been upon us. On that day the Holy Spirit manifested Himself in wind, fire, on the tongues of the followers of Jesus (language given), and prophecy. Prophecy sees time, humanity, and plans for the earth from the seat of the Almighty. His manifestations in the natural realm are wonderful! The only one who should be afraid of them is the enemy of God because He can’t understand them.“I will sprinkle purifying water over you. You will be cleansed from all the filth of your past. I will wash you clean from all your impurities and your idols. I will give you a new, tender heart and put a NEW SPIRIT in you. I will remove your hard heart of stone and give you a soft, obedient, responsive heart instead. I will put My Holy Spirit in you to EMPOWER you to KEEP My laws and live by them. You will live in the land (the promise land)…You will be My people and I will be your God. I will save you from everything impure within you…” Ezekiel 36:25-29Wow. This is the new creation life. Our heart was transformed. It was supernaturally softened when we made Jesus Lord of our life. Jesus baptized us with His perfect Love. He said in John 7:38, “Do you not know you are in the last days? All of you thirsty ones come to Me and drink. Believe in Me so that rivers of Living Water will burst out from within you, flowing from your innermost being, just like the scripture says. Jesus was prophesying about the Holy Spirit that the believers were being prepared to receive…”You have been sprinkled with a perfectly pure Living Water. You are now cleansed.Jesus also said in John 3:5-6,“Most assuredly I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God.”The water cleansed, the Spirit took up residence. The Spirit changes everything in a believer. And the believer should still be experiencing transformation by the Spirit everyday.Surrender is active in a tender, soft, obedient, responsive heart. When we live our life-center here, we stay in a position to be filled and led by the Holy Spirit. And He will manifest His Presence, His Power, and His Person.Manifestations of the Holy Spirit are outward expressions of the inward workings of the Holy Spirit. They fill us with fresh supply, fresh anointing, fresh power for ministering the love of Jesus to the world. You were an outward seeking human and now you are an inward-led child of God.Manifestations are seen by the human eye, heard by the human ear, felt by the human heart. They are tangible experiences. Some examples are: tears flowing in His Presence, heat felt throughout the body, shaking, enjoyable muscle weakness, overwhelming peace felt in the mind and body, words that flow in another language/ spiritual language, one is released into an instant nap-state, caught up in a dream-like vision, feathers falling without a natural source, gold-dust on hands when praying, singing from the spirit realm(angels), instant heart-trauma removed, and so much more. They are gifts from the Holy Spirit that often cannot be explained in natural realm ways.Every gift of the Holy Spirit is a manifestation. Look at the list of His gifts in 1 Corinthians 12: 7-13. They include wisdom, knowledge, special faith, healings, miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, tongues, interpretation of tongues.Gifts are gifts. We don’t seek gifts, we seek the Giver of gifts. We never put our desires on the manifestations, we put them on our Savior. We stay in His Presence and offer Him our lives…He dispenses the gifts as He chooses. Spiritually hungry people do not put demands on God. The gifts also do not define a Christian or determine if they are filled with the Spirit. Believing in Jesus defines us as believers and when we believed we were given the Holy Spirit. We hunger for more of Him and He always gives us His bread. We do not have the power to control manifestations but we have the power to cut them off with our “no”. Manifestations of the Holy Spirit never cause us to lose control of ourselves. It is a beautiful orchestration of your will and His.Our focus is His love. The gifts flow from this love. They can come and go, flow and stop…chasing gifts or pretending is simply rude. The manifestations have a purpose. They build up the church. 1 Corinthians 14:12 says “we must strive to excel in spiritual gifts for the building up of the church.” Steward the gifts you receive. Never doubt it was a beautiful and kind gift from the Holy Spirit. When we receive from Him, we are filled with Living Water and we share it with people. His true manifestations in you will bring others to Jesus.Remember from last week’s session:“The Presence of God is more important than people, but it is people who are precious to His Presence.” The manifestations of the Holy Spirit are precious and should never be feared. When you are authentic He brings you into His “possible”.(Listen to the recording about the gift of tongues.)The prayer that moves us, moves Him. Our prayer today is “Teach us to drink deeply, Lord!”You are important to this world, and to heaven. We are carriers of the Presence of God. Jesus cleansed us so the Living God could make us His residence. If His Presence wasn’t housed in an earthly body, it would cause any sin-filled human to fall dead…You carry His Presence so others can see His glory and ask Him into their heart to live forever. What a privilege.Thank you for reading. Listen to the recording next time you have an hour. :)Blessings,Pastor TeresaHoly Ground Life Newsletter is a reader-supported publication. Holy Spirit School, Session 23: "Life in His Presence"
I apologize, this session and the one following it was sent to only paid subscribers. Session 24 will arrive to your inbox Friday. Please click the button at the end of this to become a paid subscriber if God puts that on your heart. Thank you!(Please take a moment to listen to this session. The following is a general synopsis.)You and I are carriers of the Presence of God. Let that sink in.We cultivate and are cultivated by His Presence. This means the Presence of the Holy Spirit inside of you becomes the center focus of your life. We KEEP Him the center of our life.“Keep My word. My Father will love you. We will come and make you Our dwelling place.” -John 14:23His Presence surrounds and fills His word. His voice is at the center of His Presence. The Holy Spirit, His Presence, gives you full access to the mind of God…the Almighty.Everything we are as believers is sourced in His Presence. His Presence is the CENTER of His Kingdom…on earth and in heaven. As we make His Presence our focus, we are an example to everyone around us of how to live in His Presence. When you walk into a room you are mentoring how to live in God’s Presence and His peace. Salvation IS the gift of His person and His Presence. Our desire as believers is to be known simply as a carrier of His powerful Presence. We follow Jesus and He was constantly aware of the Father through the Presence of the Holy Spirit. The Kingdom of God is not outward Christian culture. It is not rules, regulations and behaviors. Read Romans 14:17. The Kingdom of God is IN the Holy Spirit. In His Presence is a perfect revelation of Jesus’ gift of righteousness, His peace and His joy. This is the only atmosphere. Everything else is not of Him.Our job is to know Him more and more deeply.Christians who live in ignorance of the life of the Holy Spirit have too much of the world inside of them. The world knows the man, Jesus. Believers know His voice.Your life is not on display…His Presence is.Difficulties and storms do not hinder His Presence in us. His glory is made known to others when we go through difficulties choosing to yield to Him.Are you more aware of the problem you face than His Presence within you?Our earthly human reasoning and problem solving will cut off access to the Mind of the Spirit available to us. We are not a double-minded man tossed up and down by circumstances. We have one mind and that mind is the mind of the Spirit. It is life and peace (Romans 8:6). Halleluiah! Who is your source, where is your answer, what is your provision… what is true!Everything needed for life and a good, holy life has already been deposited within you (2 Peter 1:3)! The power source is full and ready for application! You carry the source! Now all you need to do is get in position and connect. Obedience to His Words (and they are all good) is position. Obedience releases the anointing. The anointing is a powerful river of “God Possible” for your life. His Presence is more important than people…but it is people who are precious to His Presence. (Read that again)His Presence is greater than your short-comings and theirs. When His Presence takes over, hearts are healed, bodies are healed, relationships are healed, identity is healed…His heart is toward His children. Our focus is on Him. When we focus on people we see their faults or our own…His Presence takes over in an atmosphere of praise.BreakthroughIt is the Spirit that causes breakthrough into your freedom, not you. Your job is to get in position for the flood of breakthrough.“I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland…so my people will be refreshed.” Isaiah 43:19.Just before breakthrough, you are in faithful expectation. You are there waiting in the dry riverbed waiting for the flood…His flood comes and carries you into your breakthrough. Carrying you into freedom from fear, addiction, sin, old patterns of unbelief, infirmity, bitterness…He is the force that changes the landscape of your life. Your breakthrough is His to demonstrate.Position has a cost. Are you willing to pay it? It will cost you self-discipline to shift mind-sets. We start with really asking ourselves what we are hungry for. I am not talking about food, I am talking about your desires. “I have bread you know nothing about. My nutrients come from God’s will and completing it.” —Jesus, John 4:32Learn to hunger for what Jesus is hungry for. When we eat from the world, we become ill. When we enjoy God’s love as our nourishment, it makes us well. The mind-set of the Holy Spirit is strengthened by revelation of His Presence living inside of you. The “cost” is to stop old patterns of unbelief. Build up inner strength through believing and listening to His voice as He unfolds every truth. Patterns, strongholds, habits are washed away when we pay the cost of position. It is time to breakthrough into the throne room of His love and never leave. It is time to minister to others from our position within His throne room. He has chosen to place Himself inside of you…His throne room within. There is a river flowing from that throne room right now. Please listen to this session. There is so much more than can be put down here in a synopsis. He is speaking to us in our own hearts for today.A new session will be available every Thursday afternoon. Sign up below to have it sent to you.Blessings,Pastor TeresaHoly Ground Life Newsletter is a reader-supported publication. Holy Spirit School, Session 25: "Reflecting God's Image"
Please take time to listen to the recording above. The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, transforms us into a shining light reflecting JESUS.Jesus said, “ No one would think of lighting a lamp and then hiding it in the basement…a lamp belongs on a lampstand where all who enter may see its light. The eyes of your spirit allow revelation light to enter your being. When your heart is open light floods in. When your heart is hard and closed the light cannot penetrate and darkness takes its place. Open your heart and consider My words. Watch out that you do not mistake your opinions for revelation light! If your spirit burns with light, fully illuminated with no trace of darkness, you will be a shining lamp reflecting rays of truth by the way you live!” Luke 11:33-36 TPTThere is glory inside of you greater than all the prophets. It is the glory of His Presence abiding in you. The Holy Spirit is transforming you out of all darkness into the fullness of God’s Light. We are made in the image of God. See Genesis 1:26-27. He made us in His reflection, His likeness. We are a reflection of our Father. We have the attributes of His character. It is similar to a flashlight being shone into a mirror and being blinded by the reflection of it. The same light in Him is what we were made of. Then deception from the enemy of God brought separation and darkness. The light was dimmed. But God sent Jesus… Read Romans 8: 28-30. God’s gift of righteousness restored us to our original purpose. What is your life reflecting? You were born-again to reflect the perfect image of Jesus Christ, the Light of the world. The purpose of your body is to reflect the body of Jesus, your soul is to reflect the mind of the Spirit, and your spirit is to reflect the perfect love of the Father.Who are we made in the image of? The answer is in 1 John 4:14-17 (This scripture will change your life!) God is love.Everything works in this new creation life in the atmosphere of His love. Separate from Love, it does not work. Like a machine without oil, it dries up, stops moving, and looks dead.Every answer you need right now is found in a fresh baptism of His love. Where there is perfect love, fear has nothing to cling to. The Love of God takes care of any offence because you will never change a person, but God’s love can.It takes care of defining your purpose for life and identity because in a baptism of God’s love, every voice is silenced except the Holy Spirit telling who you are.It takes care of isolation and loneliness because in the center of God’s love is the person, Jesus Christ. It takes care of your call to follow Jesus because love becomes the perfect law.Romans 5:5, “The love of God is poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” This is the beautiful, transforming work of the Holy Spirit! So why are we anxious, worn-out, angry and in pain? We need a fresh baptism of His love to reveal the glory that is already in us…the light that dissolves darkness. 1 John 4:16 clearly says, “Those who are living in love, are living in God.”You were designed and re-born to be energized with the power of love. Read Ephesians 3:18-19 TPT( Again, you will be forever changed with this truth!)Love and TimeIt is almost too simple. Love and Time are the solution to whatever dry spot you are in. Time is a God-given commodity that you are in charge of managing. If you spend it on the Holy Spirit YOU WILL REFLECT GOD BRIGHTLY and have living water to spare.Turn away from busy-ness, anxiety, anger, and every other distraction of this natural realm (Colossians 3:2) and set your heart of Him. Time with Him transforms us into what we were made to be…His reflection.“We become like mirrors who brightly reflect the Lord Jesus”—2 Corinthians 3:16.Practical tips for time in His Presence:Start with thanksgiving. Thank Him for all He has done in your life. This will quiet all the distractions and bring you, focused, into His atmosphere. Ask for a fresh baptism of His love. Be immersed in the love of God. Read His words, with the partnership of the Holy Spirit, to fill your tank with knowledge of who He is and who you are. Return those beautiful promises to Him in prayer. Cast all your worries on His throne. All of them. Trust Him with your life. Release all the frustrations and bitterness. Forgive others. With a fresh peace, listen to Him and be led. Respond with a soft, teachable heart. Intercede for others so you train your heart to not always look inward but outward for service.Love and Time: If you spend time under His influence and receive His outpouring of love, you will be a reflection of His image in this world. You WILL be a light. You will be living in your God given purpose.Blessings,Pastor TeresaThank you for listening and I pray a blessing over your life in the name of Jesus. We only have 5 more sessions left! Stay tuned. Five more Thursdays of learning about the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah! This is a public episode. Holy Spirit School, Session 21: "The Comforter"
Jesus said, “Everything I have taught you is so that the peace which is in Me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in Me. In this world you will have trouble [tribulation, sufferings, difficulties, sorrows, trials] but take heart [be courageous, be of good cheer] I have overcome the world!” John 16:33Number one TRUTH here is, no matter what you are going through, no matter what storm is ravaging against your heart, no matter what words have been spoken over you, His peace has been given to you. A peace that is REALITY whether you feel it or not.Jesus also said, “Do not let your heart be troubled.” John 14:1Trouble will come, but we are told by our Savior to not let it get into our heart. How? Obedience releases the anointing. The anointing brings us perfect comfort. The anointing is released by the Holy Spirit.“I will pray to the Father and He will give you another Comforter that He may live with you forever. The Spirit of Truth, whom you know. He will never leave you…you know Him intimately because He remains in you and will live inside you.” John 14:16-17Obedience is just position. Position yourself -your believing- under the Truth. What is your believing heart in agreement with? What have you attached to your believing center? Jesus wants your agreement with His truth. The Holy Spirit is the One who unveils every truth within you.The etymology of comfort might help you understand the beautiful role of the powerful Person of the Holy Spirit. COM means “with” and FORT (fortis) means “strength”. His comfort positions us “in courage” allowing us to be courageous in the midst of trouble. We often think of comfort as a mother holding her troubled child, and He does this, but He also forms a fortress around you of truth to keep the gift of peace ruling the atmosphere of your heart. If you are finding yourself suffering from the same battles the world is suffering it might be time for a deeper dive with the Holy Spirit. He is an expert at comforting us in the deep places. There is suffering in anger, rejection, sin, seeking the glory of men, separation, grief, anxiety, pain, lack and persecution but we have an answer for all of these in the word of God. We have a fortress of promises that allow us to go through the trouble positioned under peace and release our suffering. Our position is important.“He is the God of endless comfort. He always comes alongside us to comfort us.” --2 Corinthians 1:3-4The Comforter brings us into an awareness of the fortress of truth we have available. His counsel brings us comfort and His comfort brings us perfect counsel. He fortifies us with truth. His truth brings us true well-being (think about Jesus in the boat asleep while the storm raged around Him). Truth dissolves isolation.Distress is silenced. We are translated into a mind-set and an identity where what is true is more real than what is seen, felt, or heard. Are difficulties, troubles, sorrows, sufferings etc. a sign of failure for a Christian? No…until we leave the world there will be these things. Jesus didn’t say we would fail, so experiencing these things are not failure. Does God bring trials and sufferings to teach us or get our attention? No…He bore our grief and sorrow (Isaiah 53:4) and that means God does not put them on us since Jesus did a perfect work.Let’s look at John 16:33 again: “In the world you will have trials and tribulations.” Note it does not say, “In God”, it says “In the world…”. God is the source of all that is good…He never orchestrates difficulties. He is the perfect Orchestrator of redemption. He redeems the most challenging difficulties, turning them into a display of His goodness. The result of your life-union with Him is He brings His glory on your difficulty and when He does, others will see it. He brings blessing on those who trust Him. When you trust Him in a trial, His glory shines and is evident.“ Every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are His lovers who have been called to fulfill His designed purpose.”- Romans 8:28The Holy Spirit is the Comforter of our lives. He comes alongside us and teaches us our true God-purposed identity and shows us what has already been deposited within us because of our union with Jesus.TrialsThe purpose of any trial is to solve a legal dispute. When you are going through a trial TRUTH is being tested. It is not you, personally, who is on trial because according to Romans 8:1 “The case is closed…there is no condemnation for those who walk after the Spirit.” Trials will test what we have believed is TRUTH. The foundation of your faith is tested. Before the trouble came, you established your faith by choice. This is why it is so important to build your faith in the TRUTH everyday. When we choose to believe every Word God spoke and solidly attach our agreement to it, God calls us “Chosen”. He loves when you choose life because He is life. When we do, His life fills us and surrounds us and now we are His.When you are in the fog-like state of a storm, trial, or difficulty and there are voices of fear or old-identity thoughts, it is time to quiet it all with what is true. To get there sometimes we need to “focus-up” with a few important points: 1) Confess any sin so that there is “no accusing conscience” adding to the fog. God forgives you and washes the slate clean every time you ask. 2) Scan your heart for doubt and unbelief (this is where fears live) and replace it with the promise of God. 3) Surrender: Surrender your ability to power through in your own strength and surrender to the Holy Spirit’s comfort and His counsel. 4) Speak Christ: Declare who you are in Him and let praise begin to flow freely. Praise always clears the fog.Reminder to us all: Every believer has a precious well of faith within them. When someone is going through a trial or difficulty never judge or remark on the state of their well. It is not our job to make their well like ours or ours like theirs. The path we all walk is narrow because it is You and Jesus…not you, your people, your church, the church in total, and Jesus. One Word from the Holy Spirit changes everything. One Word… and it is a Word tailored to you and building relationship with Him.Next time you are in the car or travelling turn on this recording so you can hear what the Holy Spirit has for you in this moment. As He speaks during Holy Spirit school He might be speaking directly to you and I might have missed that personal Word in this synopsis. You can find this on Spotify under “Holy Spirit School”.Blessings to you, my friend. You are being transformed by His truth everyday.Pastor TeresaA new session is available every Thursday so sign up to have it sent to your inbox here:If you want to share this session, here is the link: This is a public episode. Holy Spirit School, Session 20: "The One Who Keeps You"
“The church has been sleeping, but she is awake and putting on her armor now and marching triumphantly. But do not make a mistake, God cannot do a great work through you without doing a great work in you first.” —-Evan Roberts 1904Unity is all about Jesus. Jesus in you and Jesus in me is perfect unity. If I see Jesus in you, I won’t put you down and judge you. Unity in the body of Christ is not agreement. True Unity is only realized in the spiritual and it only comes from our common Savior, Jesus. It is Jesus that makes us one. As you take time to pursue Him in prayer, in the Word, and in an awareness of the Presence of the Holy Spirit, you are increasing unity in the body of Christ. When we let Jesus heal our heart, then we can be unified more perfectly as a church. When the body of Christ is unified, we march in unity and the whole world is taken in with the image of Jesus. So the little moments we have under the influence of the Holy Spirit are actually gigantic. You no longer belong to the world. The thief and enemy has no claim on you.“…Be transformed as you embrace the glorious Christ within as your new life and live in union with Him! For God has re-created you all over again in His perfect righteousness, and you now belong to Him in the realm of true holiness. So discard every form of dishonesty and lying so that you will be known as one who always speaks the truth, for we all belong to one another.” Ephesians 4:24-25 TPTWe don’t belong to the world. We belong to one another. What if we always saw Christ in one another. Would we judge, hate, argue with, be jealous of, curse, or mock Christ?Unity conquers the works of darkness. The work that the Holy Spirit is accomplishing within you is bringing all of us into unity. When He addresses any fear within you with the truth, you are set free from a self-focused life. This makes you free to love others. When you make the choice to attach your believing heart to the truth (John 17:6), the Word of God begins to sanctify you and clean your heart (John 17:17). You are washed clean and made holy in God’s perfect purpose for you. The process of sanctification is happening right now in you, as you listen to the Holy Spirit, listen to the Word of God, listen to His counsel and comfort…Sanctification is a moving, breathing life-force in you. That force is the Holy Spirit. He is personally bringing you into a reality and experience of sanctification that sets you free. The Holy Spirit is given to you. He is the One that keeps you. He keeps you holy and sanctified. You now live in His realm and His reality: the realm of holiness. He is keeping you holy. Re-read John 16:13.When you became a believer in Jesus Christ, you were justified, and because of this, you are continually sanctified. Let’s clarify these very “Christian” terms. Justified, simply stated, means you are forgiven and Jesus’ righteousness (His holiness) is released over you. This is a complete work. It is finished. Sanctification on the other hand is a process led by the Holy Spirit. The truth continuously sanctifies us. (Please listen to the recording concerning this very important point. Starting at 17:00-24:00)By grace you have been saved by faith. Nothing you did could ever earn this salvation for it was the love gift from God that brought us to Christ (Ephesians 2:8). Your justification is a sealed deal. Adopted, done. Child of God, done. Forgiven, done.Justified= Identity changed. Sanctified= Identity experienced. The Holy Spirit leads an ongoing process of sanctification which is an inward work seen by the world outwardly. As you yield to this work, you release the fear of not being good enough. You are led into union with Jesus and led out of union with the world. In addition, you are led out of union with consecrating yourself perfect and holy. The new wineskin Jesus (Matthew 9:17) talks about is freedom in Christ. The new wineskin is your heart. Nothing is holding you back…nothing is impossible. It is answered prayer beyond your wildest imagination. It is the new heart of a believer, the new wineskin, where God Himself lives.Self-condemnation, punishing yourself, judging yourself harshly, consecrating yourself with good works is old wine and it is not meant for the new wineskin.Nature VS Nurture When we became believers, we received a new nature. God beautifully brought the nature of Jesus and our God-given nature(Psalm 139) together into a new life. The Holy Spirit is the perfect-parenting influence to nurture us in our new identity. To nurture is to bring nourishment and He nourishes us with truth every moment when we let Him.Please take a quiet moment in the car or when you are settling down for the evening and play this session. The Spirit was all over it!I hope it blesses you.Blessings,Pastor TeresaA new session is available every Thursday afternoon. Make sure it is sent to your email. Holy Spirit School, Session 19: "The Language of the Holy Spirit"
Language is very important to God.“The Holy Spirit is the One who gives life, that which is of the natural realm is of no help. The words I speak to you are Spirit and life!” —Jesus, John 6:63We are taking hold of life and we do that through the language of the Holy Spirit. As we become more and more skilled in living our lives led by the Holy Spirit , we are learning His language. It is the language of the Kingdom Realm. To understand, we need to remember where we came from and how different it was. We were chained to sin and our words were always in agreement with those chains. We were covered in a mud that would eventually bury us.Then we heard the words of Jesus. Our believing hearts fastened itself to those life-giving words. His word became authority in our lives. Chains can only be broken by authority. The captive can’t break their own chains. His words of authority broke those chains. Then it was His words that washed us pure and clean. When His voice filled our heart, we were healed and set free! It was His language all along that made us new. Then we were immersed in the Spirit. When that happened His voice came alive and we could clearly hear Him in every moment. Everyday, on this earth, we are learning His language of “life”.Once we begin to learn the language of the Spirit, we can be led by Him. As a new creation in Christ, it is easy to learn. The culture of the Kingdom Realm of God is love and as we know, the language and the culture of a kingdom are tightly connected! The language of the Holy Spirit is not only love, it is constructed by love: every letter, every word, every sentence. Every part of God’s communication is built with a personal love and every word has an energy behind it that originates with love. The ears you hear Him with are within your heart. He speaks to the innermost being. He speaks the language of your heart and you return in the same language. His language speaks truth and before you were a Christian, you did not know truth.“They were Yours and You gave them to Me, and they have fastened Your Word firmly to their hearts. And…the very words You gave to Me to speak I have passed on to them. They have received Your Words and carry them in their hearts…”-Jesus, John 17:6-8 TPTJesus is the language of God.“But to us living in these last days, God now speaks to us openly in the language of a Son, the appointed heir of everything, for through Him God created the panorama of all things and all time.” Hebrews 1:2-3 TPTThe language of Jesus is love. And that love is poured into your heart through the Holy Spirit. “(His) love is poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” Romans 5:5 NKJVWe are immersed in His language and immersion leads to fluency. The language of the Holy Spirit does not judge and condemn the believer. It does not bring fear or separation. Fear is a strange language.“My own sheep hear My voice…My sheep know and listen to the True shepherd-they know His voice and the voice of a stranger they will not follow.” -Jesus, John 10:3-5, 27The rarest treasures of life are found in His truth. That’s why I prize God’s Word like others prize the finest gold. Nothing brings the soul such sweetness as seeking His living words.” Psalm 19:0 TPTThe language of the Holy Spirit is the bible.2 Timothy 3:16 tells us all scripture is God-breathed. He has released His words through breath. Be immersed in His word. When His words live powerfully within us, we pray in His language, and He hears us and answers us (John 15:7-8).We are called to speak the language of the Spirit.“We articulate (these profound realities revealed to us by the Spirit) with WORDS imparted to us by the Spirit and not with the words taught by human wisdom. We join Spirit-revealed truths with Spirit-revealed words. Someone living on an entirely human level rejects the revelations of God’s Spirit for they make no sense to them.” 1 Corinthians 2:13-14 TPTWhen we speak His language it is wrapped with power! The language of humanity is crying out, “Rescue me!” but we are believers who now speak the language of faith….”I am in the shadow of the Almighty. I know where My help comes from…I am under the wing of my Rescuer!”Blessings,Pastor TeresaA new session will be available every Thursday afternoon. Holy Spirit School, Session 18: "Invitation to Engage"
God anointed Jesus with the Holy Spirit and power (Acts 10:38). The Holy Spirit rested on Him and filled Him. The Holy Spirit was His source, revealing His Father’s will and His Father’s words. Jesus lived in His Presence, His power, and His love all the time. The same Holy Spirit is available to you. When you honor Him, everything transforms. Our job is to seek Him, find Him, stay there in that union…and ENGAGE.We all want to go deeper, that is why we are here listening. The Holy Spirit is seeking believers to fully engage with Him. It is time to come out of the world, and its nonsense, and engage fully with His truth. To begin, let’s look at the definition of engage and let the Spirit reveal to us what He is inviting us to do. ENGAGE: * Make one part of a machine fit and move together with another part of a machine.* To interlock with* to bind by a promise (ex: engaged to be married).* to employ a professional to complete a service* to give your full ear of attention to in conversation.* to offer something (your word, your life) as in “He engaged his all for the king’s cause.”* to engage in warfare. In light of these definitions of the word “engage”, here are some scriptures Jesus spoke:Remain in life-union with Me, for I remain in life-union with you. -John 15:4Love the Lord your God with every passion of your heart, with all the energy of your being, and with every thought that is within you. This is the greatest and supreme commandment. -Matthew 22:37Engage.It comes down to this: where is your heart? Is the attention of your heart divided? But Jesus did not yet entrust Himself to them because He knew how fickle the human heart can be…-John 2:24-25 Their hearts were not fully engaged with Him.Jesus invites us in this “engagement” scripture:Come to Me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you (engage) and learn of Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your soul.” Matthew 11:28-29Our question right now is, “Where is my agreement?” What is your believing heart fastening itself to by belief. Is it a lie of the enemy? Do you believe what Jesus said about you? This is where we engage in warfare. We stand up to every deceptive lie that tries to bring separation between us and our God-given identity.A believer who is fully engaged with the Truth giving Holy Spirit looks like Ephesians 1:1-8,13-14.* they are engaged in the revelation of the gift of holiness* they are engaged in the well-spring of grace* they are engaged in spiritual abundance and joy* they are engaged in their calling and purpose* they are engaged in perfect love* they are engaged in the river of giftings (Eph. 1:6-8)* they are engaged in complete freedom through His anointing (Eph 1:13-14)It is time to engage so we can advance to new revelations. An engaged heart causes other hearts to engage! You were baptized into identity when the Spirit filled you. You were washed in the authority of Jesus Christ and His anointing. You were baptized into the power of the Holy Spirit for others. That power shifted you to a new reality and it engaged you in a new life. You can now be engaged with the deep places of God’s Kingdom Realm-the realm of His possibilities.Remember, the Holy Spirit puts you in contact with the heart of God and the voice of Jesus.Thank you for being a part of this class. Listen to the recording, it is filled with so much more than this synopsis.Blessings,Pastor TeresaA new session will be available every Thursday. This is a public episode. Holy Spirit School, Session 17: "The Seven Flames of the Holy Spirit"
The Holy Spirit is revealing Himself to you and I. He is not only revealing the heart of the Father, and the voice of the Son, He is showing us His nature. What a privilege! To be more acquainted with the Holy Spirit is our desire! I strongly encourage you to listen to this session. Here are a few overviews and highlights:Jesus said, “The Holy Spirit is the ONE who gives life, that which is of the natural realm is no help. The words I speak to you are Spirit and Life.” John 6:63 TPTLife flows from Him to you. He is the One who ignites our lives, within, with a holy fire. We long in our spirit’s to be ablaze with Truth. We long to be like Jesus.Jesus said, “I have come as a LIGHT to shine in this dark world so that all who trust in Me will no longer wander in darkness.” John 12:46 TPT Jesus is a burning flame of truth. The Holy Spirit speaks through Romans 12:11-12, “Be aglow with the Holy Spirit!”(TPT) or “Don’t burn out, keep yourselves fueled and aflame! (MSG). 1 Thessalonians 5:19 also says, “Never restrain or put out the fire of the Holy Spirit”. The fire of the Holy Spirit burning within you is important to God, it should be important to us.The truth is, as a believer, you are either diminishing or growing in the fire of God. To grow in the fire of God is to allow the fullness of God to invade your life. Experience Him!We become so united to the truth, so immersed in who He says we are, our lives become the promise.“We become His poetry (written by God: we become all He says we are). We are a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny He has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. …Now, because we are united to Christ, we have equal and direct access to the realm of the Holy Spirit before the Father.” Ephesians 2:10,18Equal and Direct access! Did you catch that?“Now is the time to be made new by every revelation that has been given to you. (It is time!) Be transformed as you embrace this new life in union with Jesus Christ. For God re-created you in His perfect righteousness and you now belong to Him in the realm of true holiness (or in the Holy Spirit’s realm).” Ephesians 4:24 TPTGrow in the fire! Allow the fullness to invade your life! A new life, a new realm, a new reality is available to you. Now is the time.Jesus said, “Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven” (Matthew 5:3). The poor in spirit are those who have relied on the poverty of their own spirit to live life. Man’s determination and effort leads to emptiness and death. But a new realm has been released! God’s wealth has been release to us through Jesus. God’s wealth is Himself, His gift of holiness, His wisdom and His voice, His authority and His strength. He is Lord of all! The Holy Spirit is the One who beautifully distributes this wealth.Jesus told us that when we receive the Holy Spirit, He releases power from on high!Where is the “On High”? Here:“The kindness of God’s grace and peace overflow to you from Him who is, and Who was, and Who is coming, and from the Seven Spirits who are in front of His throne, and from Jesus Christ the Faithful Witness, the First born from among the dead and the ruling King, who now rules over the Kings of the earth!” Revelations 1:4 TPTThe Seven Spirits? “Instantly I was taken up into the spirit realm, and behold- I saw a heavenly throne set in place and Someone seated upon it. His appearance was sparkling like crystal and glowing like a carnelian gemstone (blood red). Surrounding the throne was a circle of green light, like an emerald rainbow…pulsing from the throne were blinding flashes of lightning, crashes of thunder, and voices. And burning before the throne are seven blazing torches, which represent the Seven Spirits of God.” Revelations 4:2-6 TPTThe one Holy Spirit…the Seven Spirits of God. How do we understand this? This is the seven-fold spirit of the Holy Spirit. Our God is ONE and He expresses Himself in three: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We were made in His image and we are one, expressing ourselves in three: spirit, soul, and body. Jesus is like us, having a spirit, soul, and body but also part of the Godhead(This is why He is so special). The Holy Spirit is not a man (John 4:24). The Holy Spirit is One and expresses Himself in seven. These seven Spirits are the seven flames that burn as one.On the day of Pentecost in Acts 2, we know that “tongues of fire separated and rested on them and they were filled with the Holy Spirit”. Other translations say “divided tongues of fire”. In each flame we find the fullness of a part of the Holy Spirit, a fullness of a gift. In each flame we find a part or different dimension which contains a God-possible reality. The seven fold Spirit of God is a seven part illuminating influence over God’s people. What are the Seven Parts? We find them in the prophetic word about Jesus from Isaiah 11:2-3.“The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him— the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord— and he will delight in the fear of the Lord.” Isaiah 11:2-3 NIVJesus was given these flames and now, you have been given these flames as the Spirit releases them to you. They reveal the Father in His glory and kindness, they give access to His manifest Presence, they identify us as His own, they restore our relationship (intimacy) with God, they give us power to walk closely with the Spirit, they bring us into the power Jesus told us to go with into all the world.Receive the fullness of the Seven-fold Spirit and you will be filled with the full measure of the fullness of Christ. Our part is to receive. He gives us more than we can imagine. “How much more will the Perfect Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit’s fullness when His childeren ask Him?!" Holy Spirit School, Session 16:"The Fire of God"
The Holy Spirit is inviting you to come out of the world and enter the deeper place of His influence. Are you willing to burn with a deeper intensity for Him?The fire of God is not a harmful or destructive fire. When Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego (Daniel 3) were thrown into the king’s fire for not worshipping him…there was a man who looked like the Son of God with them. They were in the fire of God within the fire of the world and they were unharmed. God’s fire protects us.His fire refines us. It is His passionate love over us, His Glory, His Voice and His Purified Truth. When we experience God in His fire, we are never the same.Experience vs KnowledgeWhen the woman with the issue of blood heard of Jesus the Healer, it was knowledge that moved her toward Him. She then pursued His Presence and reached out and received His power…This is when she experienced Jesus.Experience can never be taken from you. It transforms and heals. The knowledge that you are the Temple of God can be exchanged for what you feel. If you feel angry you may not feel like His holy temple. When you experience His voice within you and Know Him as Lord within, this can never be exchanged. Our emotions are fluid and their fragility is best held in His arms. He never leaves us and is always ready to restore our soul.Knowledge can be diluted, replaced, or forgotten. But experience with the Living God becomes a revelation and a revelation becomes a source of knowledge!John the Baptist said about Jesus, “He will submerge you in union with the Spirit of Holiness AND with a raging fire!” (Matthew 3:8-12 TPT)If we are not aflame, we fail. We cannot change the world without the fire of the Holy Spirit. We cannot reflect His light without our hearts burning with the experience of the Living God.We are not an imitation of Jesus. We are aflame with the anointing through the power of the Holy Spirit. Just like oxygen feeds a natural fire, the Holy Spirit breathes on you to ignite the gift of holiness inside you!It burns out doubt and weakness. It burns out fear and worry.God has written you a love letter:“Fasten Me upon your heart as a seal of fire forevermore. This living, consuming flame will seal you as My prisoner of love. My passion is stronger than the chains of death and the grave, all consuming as the very flashes of fire from the burning heart of God. Place this fierce, unrelenting fire over your entire being. Rivers of pain and persecution will never extinguish this flame. Endless floods will be unable to quench this raging fire that burns within you. Everything will be consumed. It will stop at nothing as you yield to this furious fire until it won’t seem to you like a sacrifice anymore.” Song of Songs 8:6-7 TPTThe fire of God is more real than the life you gave Him.Jesus said, “I have come to set the earth on fire…how I wish it were already ablaze with fiery passion for God!” Luke 2:49The fire in the eyes of Jesus the Conqueror looks upon the Holy Spirit’s fire burning in you. Fire to fire…passion to passion…righteousness to righteousness…holiness to holiness…Blessings,Pastor TeresaA new episode will be available every Thursday. This is a public episode. Holy Spirit School, Session 15: "Transformed into the Temple of God"
Jesus said, “I am the Light of the world and those who embrace Me will experience life-giving LIGHT” (John 8:12). He also said YOU are the “Light of the world” (Matthew 5:14).We are believers who have embrace the light of the Truth, Jesus, and now we are in life-union with Him therefore we radiate with Light. We are transformed into His Holy dwelling place. Our text is from John 2:1-10 for this session. Jesus changes the water at the wedding into wine. Some observations: There were six jars of water used for purification and those jars were empty. Six is the number that is related to humanity. These jars were there because of man’s decree, not God’s. They were empty because they were unable to purify themselves from the effects of sin.Jesus said, “Fill them with water”. The water that truly purifies is the water of the Word of God (Ephesians 5:26). The Word made flesh was speaking. They listened. (Truth is a powerful purification of God.) The beginning of the transformation was obedience to the Word of God. The Word still has transformative power.“Take a cup and give it to the Master” is our moment of hearing the Truth and believing and handing our belief to the Master, God of it All.“What will you do with Jesus, who is called the Christ?” “I will believe.”Transformation happened at the transfer just like when you were born-again into Christ. God filled you with His best. He filled you with Himself. We were transformed from a clay jar that relied on our own personal purification. We were found empty. We are now a vessel filled with perfect purity-the blood of the Lamb. Holiness filled us-a holiness we were unable to produce.“Our life-giver, the Lord Jesus Christ, transforms our humble bodies and transfigures us into the identical likeness of His body.” Philippians 3:21 TPTThis humble vessel becomes a holy place. “Do you not know that you are now God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? For God’s temple is holy…and you are that temple.” 1 Corinthians 3:16Christianity is unlike any other religion or belief system. We do not attach ourselves to a belief system and do everything in our power to keep our lives within the perimeters of that system…we believe Jesus, and a transformation takes place causing transfiguration. Our believing unlocks a miracle of something brand new and better. We were transformed into a temple!I sold the real estate of my life to a perfect Purchaser. He took that real estate and built a temple where there was wild land. He called this holy place His own and then deposited His treasure, His inheritance, there. He loved it so much He took up residence!Do you not know?Blessings,Pastor TeresaThere will be a new episode released every Thursday. Message me is you have any questions that come up as you listen. Holy Spirit School, Session 14: "The Infilling AND the Baptism"
It is time to be set apart. It is time to purchase the oil.It is time to change your perspective and what you hold high in value. The Holy Spirit is inviting you to yield to His influence…more. When you do, He will accomplish in you a setting apart which is His holiness. There are three things in this season of time that He is asking you to focus on: awareness, obedience, and humility.AwarenessHave an increased awareness of the Holy Spirit. Allow yourself to be defined by His voice. Become aware of what you believe. Believing God’s word and His counsel will place you in perfect position for wisdom, power, cleansing, and His inheritance. Become deeply aware of His gift of righteousness and let it define you. Become aware of Who lives in you as a believer and the powerful anointing that clothes you.ObedienceIt is time to live apart from man-made doctrines. It is time to be fully immersed in His voice. Although grace is wonderful and freedom is always available, it is better to enter them through obedience. When He says go “right” do not hesitate.HumilityTrue humility is a revelation of His ability and a total disregard for our own. True humility is when you allow God’s image, inside of you, to reflect to the world without any part of “you” blocking it.The stiff-necked, prideful, and opinionated are clumsy in the Kingdom of God. The humble dance with Him…and are led by the Holy Spirit. These three are only possible through the gift of the Holy Spirit. Jesus displayed them perfectly for us. He was completely empowered by the Holy Spirit and we can be too.Our text this session is Acts 19:1-7. These believers were following the message of John the Baptist which was “repent for your sins…the Kingdom is coming”! Repent and repent and keep repenting. But Paul asked them if they had received the Holy Spirit. He proceeded to baptize them in the authority of the name of Jesus Christ and when he laid hands on them they were filled with the Holy Spirit. Two levels of baptism. First they were submerged into union with Jesus Christ as believers. God was so confident in the completed work of Jesus, and His righteousness, that He took up residence inside a believer: the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.Jesus repeated, “Peace to you!” And told them, “Just as the Father has sent Me, I am sending you.” Then, taking a deep breath, He blew on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” John 21:21-22 TPTWe are immersed in His voice within.God is confident…are you?The second is the “being clothed with power” Jesus mentions in Luke 24:49. The power of the Holy Spirit to be messengers of God’s good news. He takes up residence for our sake and He comes upon us for the sake of others.Every believer in Jesus Christ has the Holy Spirit within. They are sealed with His breath. But not every believer has pursued being clothed with His power which is the baptism of the Holy Spirit. In this, He fills our words with His Presence and His language. Will you receive the fullness of His Spirit? Will you allow a deeper transformation into the image of Jesus? Will you hunger for a fresh overflow of His power? Not for yourself, but so the people around you can be set free by the anointing?Blessings,Pastor TeresaA new episode will be available every Thursday. Holy Spirit School Session 13: "The Anointing"
Thank you for joining me for Holy Spirit School. This is Session 13.The Holy Spirit searches the deep things of God and makes them known to us.God now unveils these profound realities to us by the Spirit. Yes, He has revealed to us His inmost heart and deepest mysteries through the Holy Spirit, who constantly explores all things. 1 Corinthians 2:10 TPT The Holy Spirit unlocks the heart of the Father and the voice of the Son. He is our resting place within. The blood of Jesus connects a believer eternally to Jesus.Although you were once distant and far away from God, now you have been brought delightfully close to Him through the sacred blood of Jesus…Ephesians 2:13 TPTEverything needed to make you pure is in the Blood. (Ephesians 1:7)The anointing of Jesus, Himself, is in the Blood. The Holy Spirit is intertwined with the anointing. The overcoming triumphant power of God flows through the anointing. The anointing IS the Holy Spirit.According to Isaiah 10:27 the anointing is the burden-removing, yoke (of sin and death)-destroying, PURE POWER of God.The anointing frees us of our wounds (Isaiah 61 and Luke 4:18-19).All who join their lives to Jesus Christ, by believing Him, are now infused with the anointing of God. He lives and flourishes in them with His anointing. The anointing is not for a special few. It is not an adjective for a good sermon or a great preacher, or a beautiful worship song. It is a flowing oil made available to every believer. We DO have the choice to become aware of the anointing, yielding to the power of it, and function more fully in it.It is the anointing, a flow of supernatural oil, that carries and transforms. The anointing on the Word of God renews our mind and changes our perspective to see circumstances from the position where Jesus sits enthroned. The opposite of functioning by the anointing is the self focused life. For example:The anointing always flows and moves forward. The self-life provides excuses, through wounds, to stay where you are.The anointing is filled with the authority of the name of Jesus. The self-life calls ourselves and others a name or label. The anointing is flowing with perfect wisdom. The self-life weighs an issue based on man’s knowledge and then determines through reasoning what is right. The anointing is made to flow through you to others. The self-life draws from a small pool within you of “you help me, I’ll help you”.The anointing holds the authority of “Peace be still”. The self-life is always chaos in the storm. The anointing always rests in God’s perfect justice and letting Him have His perfect work. The self-life is weighed down by judging the sin of others. The anointing gives you a personal experience with the unconditional love of God. The self-life guards our wounds with fear. The anointing frees us from all our wounds. It is not spiritual energy or goosebumps. There are not different anointings but various gifts that come from one anointing. It is none other than the Holy Spirit. A believer in Jesus determined to function or “do life” aware of the anointing flowing through them will experience its transforming power and when they do-it will flow to others. If you find life has been heavy, the anointing will transform it into a life that is easy and light and His anointing restores your soul.Blessings,TeresaA new episode will be available every Thursday. Holy Spirit School, Session 12: "Access the Power of the Secret Place"
Thank you for joining me for Holy Spirit School. This is Session 12.“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him. BUT it was to us that God revealed these things by His Spirit. For His Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets” (1 Corinthians 2:9-12).The Secret Place is where we live and it is by the Holy Spirit the deep secrets of God are revealed. The irony is there are no secrets in the Secret Place. We release all of our hidden things as well. The world is under an orphan spirit which is a spirit of abandonment and fear. The world is longing for the Spirit of Adoption to restore them to the Father. They long to see a church that walks in the revelation of God’s goodness found daily in intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit. A church who knows God through time spent in the Secret Place.“He who dwells in the Secret Place of the Most High will abide (remain) under the shadow of the Almighty” (Psalm 91:1).The Hebrew word for Secret Place is Sether. The verb form of the word means to hide. Each consonant of this word can be studied for deeper revelation. The first is SAMEK which is drawn as a rounded vessel with a cover. We like to think the Secret Place is where God meets us but it is a special place inside His heart that He places you in and covers you. The second consonant is TAN and this refers to Gods knowledge, restoration and guidance. His words of truth filled with encouragement make up the atmosphere of the secret place. The third consonant is RESH and this refers to the Holy Spirit. We hide in the Secret Place through divine relationship with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Secret Place. In Psalm 138 we learn that we were made in our mother’s womb by God in the SETHER-the Secret Place. We were made here. This is our spiritual origin. Our home!A place where we are perfectly known and we KNOW Him. A place where your true self (no damage, no wounds, no confusion) is accepted in perfect love.It is from the Secret Place that true Kingdom Realm power is released. When you live your life from the Secret Place your prayers take on mountain moving power! No matter what you see or feel on this earth- you can retreat to the full knowledge of God in the Secret Place. How do we access the power of the Secret Place:1: Prioritize Prayer2: Make Praise a Lifestyle3:Pray in the Spirit more.Praying in the Spirit is an access point to a deeper anointing.“My people shall sit in the beauty of peace, in the tabernacles of confidence, and in wealthy rest.” Isaiah 32:18 DRBlessings,TeresaA new episode will be available every Thursday.Have it sent to your email by subscribing to my newsletter. Holy Spirit School, Session 11: "The Divine Encourager"
Thank you for joining me for Holy Spirit School. This is Session 11.As believers in Jesus, we dwell in His realm on holy influence. We have been given the Holy Spirit Who reveals to us the reality of who we are now. He unlocks the voice of God and releases His Word into our new reality. A new reality and perspective takes shape as we live a life led by the Holy Spirit. Every answered prayer, every trust building moment, every revelation, every time we strengthen our identity in Him…each one of these become secured in the center of our being. You personally carry the power of His Presence into every place and time your life journeys through. The Ark of the Covenant was a foreshadowing of what is now in you. You carry His Word and hear His voice. You are the keeper of the fire. A fire that keeps us looking for encounters with our Jesus.“Remain in life union with Me-for I remain in life union with you”—Jesus (John 15:4)He dwells in us and we dwell in His Residence. The Holy Spirit is not revealing your sin-He is revealing your identity. He is revealing the inheritance already within us. He does not condemn, He comforts. That comfort is found in the fact we live in life union with Jesus. Sin is an old identity. He shows us our new identity in Christ. He is the Divine Encourager who invites me to sit with Him and be fed with His promises. I have no need to strive and fight for what is mine.We respond in holiness to His influence of holiness. His voice is how we are perfectly strengthened and encouraged. We respond with a voice that encourages and strengthens others.Blessings,TeresaA new episode will be available every Thursday. Holy Spirit School, Session 10: "The Riches of the Spirit"
Thank you for joining me for Holy Spirit School. This is Session 10.Within you is a treasure trove of riches ready to be discovered. Some believers live their entire lives looking for their source in the earth and not in the Holy Place where the Spirit of God dwells…inside. He is softly asking you this question: “Have you forgotten that your innermost being is My holy dwelling place?”The light of His glory fills the temple. You are now the temple of the Holy Spirit. His voice always fills the temple, “I am Yahweh. I am merciful, gracious, slow to anger, abounding in goodness and truth.”At the center of the riches of His glory is His voice, our divine and eternal treasure. The riches of the Spirit are not in the giftings, the manifestations, abundance of spiritual fruit or ministry achievements—It is to know Him through your deepening intimacy with Him (Ephesians 1:17). It is here you become wealthy in the riches of knowledge (Who He is and who you are), rich with deep trust, and rich in relationship. God paid an expensive price in blood and tears for the restoration of relationship with you.“Now is the time to be made new by every revelation that has been given to you. And to be transformed as you embrace the glorious CHRIST within as you live your new life in union with Him! For God has recreated you all over again in His perfect righteousness and you now belong to Him in the realm of true holiness” (Ephesians 4:23-24 TPT).Mostly what God does is love you. The Holy Spirit unveils every reality of His love every time you yield to His voice. Soak in the riches of His love.Blessings,TeresaA new class will be available every Thursday. Holy Spirit School, Session 9:"The Oil of the Holy Spirit"
I began Holy Spirit School in 2025.This is Session 9.In the natural realm oil is needed for movement. It is a carrier. It heals the body. It cleanses and removes irritations. It can be made into asphalt which makes a road easy to travel upon. It can be burned for light and for life-giving heat. It can also be used to change the atmosphere with a new scent. In the Old Testament it was used to consecrate kings signifying God’s authority and blessing…a sign and symbol of what was to come…The natural realm will often reflect spiritual truth.Yahweh, God of all, has an oil and it is His anointing. The anointing is the power of God to carry away our burdens.“Jesus of Nazareth was anointed by God with the Holy Spirit and with great power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil because God was with Him…”(Acts 10:38). Jesus was soaked in the oil of Yahweh and filled with the Holy Spirit. If you want to know the Holy Spirit, know Jesus. When Jesus was crucified as a sacrifice for all on the cross, He was squeezed (like a sponge) and the oil of the Holy Spirit and His breath were released to us, His church. When you became a believer in Jesus, it was that new and beautiful scent of the oil of the Holy Spirit that invited you to believe. It was being released from a person in words or in the fruit of their lives.NOW 2 Corinthians 1:21 speaks this truth over you: “God Himself has anointed you! He is constantly strengthening you in your union with Christ. He has identified you as His by placing the Holy Spirit in your heart”.Jesus spoke this eternal truth, “It’s to your advantage that I go away for if I don’t go the Divine Encourager will not be released to you” (John 16:7). On Calvary’s cross the One who was filled like a sponge with the anointing oil was squeezed and the oil was released.Every treasure of the new creation life (believer in Jesus) is maintained by the Holy Spirit. He is our Helper to walk out the treasures: His treasure of holiness, identity as a son or daughter of God, power and authority over the world, peace, wisdom and understanding, healing, salvation in all of its magnitude….He unites us to Christ. The wise bridesmaids in Matthew 25:1-13 purchased the oil and lit the fire to find the Bridegroom. We purchase the oil through “secret place” (Psalm 91) prayer with Jesus. Time in His Presence, His Words, His Promises, His Voice…becoming familiar with His Glory and Grace and yielding to Him in prayer will fill you with the precious anointing oil of the Holy Spirit. It is a personal place that can only be shared between you and Jesus. It is not having knowledge of your Savior, but experiencing Him.To know Him intellectually holds no power. To know Him emotionally puts you on an unstable sea dictated by your feelings. To know Him spirit to Spirit in your innermost being releases His power in your life. You become ignited with a knowing and a reality of being known by Him.Blessings,TeresaA new episode will be available every Thursday afternoon.Leave a comment and let’s start a discussion. Holy Spirit School, Session 8: "The Gifts of the Spirit"
I began Holy Spirit School at Christian Faith Campus at the start of 2025. This is Session 8.The Holy Spirit is the movement, maintaining the reality of our new creation life made available to us through Jesus Christ. “We live and move and have our being in Him” Acts 17:28.Can we commit the unpardonable sin, to blaspheme the Holy Spirit, mentioned by Jesus in Mark, chapter three? As believers in Jesus Christ we have been given the precious promise that we are placed in His right-standing before God. Through our believing we hold Jesus sacred therefore we hold the Holy Spirit as sacred. We are in the center of God’s pleasure when we yield fully to His Spirit.Revealing Himself to you is His joy and His delight. He is not accusing you today (Romans 8:1) but rather He is enjoying unfolding His Kingdom reality to you, today!“Relax and rest, be confident and serene for the Lord rewards fully those who simply trust in Him” (Psalm 116:7)How do the gifts of the Holy Spirit flow to you? First, they come from the secure connection you have with Jesus Christ. This is His promise to you: He is the vine and you are the branch…apart from Him you can do nothing (John 15). This means without Him there is no fruit, no gifts, and no life. Second, the revelation of the unconditional perfect LOVE of God must be real to you.It is only in the deep river of His love flowing into you and out of your innermost being that His gifts can be deposited. Without a personal experience of the love of God the gifts fall flat. What are the gifts? 1 Corinthians 12:3-13. His gifts carry life-giving promises as we minister to others. Our lives operating in His gifts glorify His grace (Ephesians 1:3-6).What hinders the flow of the Spirit’s gifts? Your weakness? No. Paul teaches us our weakness becomes a portal to God’s power in 2 Corinthians 12:9.There is a key answer to this question in what Jesus prays in John 17:10, “My glory is revealed through their surrendered lives.”It is time for us to surrender the past, the pride, the personal vows, the wounded identity, the opinions…let them dissolve in the outpouring of His personal love for you. The love of God is poured into your heart through the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5) and the gifts flow within it.The Holy Spirit is doing a work in your heart and if you let Him, He is establishing a brand new reality.Blessings,TeresaA new episode will be available every Thursday afternoon.Let’s begin a discussion by leaving a comment below. Holy Spirit School, Session 7: "The Fruit of the Spirit"
Thank you for joining me for Holy Spirit School. This is Session 7.As we move into a deeper revelation of the Holy Spirit, we understand that everything we need to know is in the quiet place, listening to His voice. Knowing Him means we are known. He speaks to us and translates Heaven’s realities into our own personal language. He knows your heart language. It is not about dramatic manifestations but a confident knowing you can hear His voice. He is unveiling the truth to you. He is the voice of your good Shepherd, Jesus. When we experience the love of God it changes everything. Through a revelation of His love, our tree of life grows and matures. The Holy Spirit opens up super highways of revelation that make us a healthy, strong, storm resistant tree planted for Him!When we drink the truth of Jesus and experience His goodness, a river begins to flow from His throne within us. This river flowing through our tree of life produces a individualized fruit. This beautiful fruit is the evidence of a life joined to Jesus and filled with the fullness of His life in the Holy Spirit. Take a deep breath and know He is God over you, personally. The Holy Spirit is moving you into freedom.Blessings,TeresaA new class will be available every Thursday.Lets start an end of class discussion here! Holy Spirit School, Session 6: "Remember Your Reality"
I began Holy Spirit School at Christian Faith Campus at the start of 2025.This is Session Six.“The same Spirit that raised Jesus’ dead body from the grave now lives in you… bringing life to your mortal body” (Romans 8:11)“When the truth giving Spirit comes, He will unveil the reality of every truth within you. He won’t speak on His own, but only what He hears from the Father and He will reveal to you what is to come. He will glorify me on the earth for He will receive from Me what is mine and reveal it to you” (John 16:13-14).The Holy Spirit translates Heaven’s realities into your realities. His anointing teaches you all you need to know. Our focus is not to lay hold of Heaven’s realities and pull them down into our main reality-the natural realm. Our focus is expanding the reality of the Realm of the Spirit by yielding to the Holy Spirit. The natural realm will shift. The Spirit of God hovered over the waters and spoke…Light Be! and Light was.We are all drinking freely from the same Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:13).Blessings,TeresaA new class will be available every Thursday.Lets start an end of class discussion here! Holy Spirit School, Session 4/5: "The Realm of the Spirit"
I began Holy Spirit School at Christian Faith Campus at the start of 2025. This is Session 4/5.When the Kingdom of God entered the earth with the door made open by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and His resurrection, a new realm was birthed. It is the realm of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit has full dominion in this realm. You and I, as believers in Jesus Christ, have full access to this realm. It is a realm that is available even while we live here in the confines of the natural realm. It our peace in any storm. We have a supernatural hope and joy in the midst of a bad report. We have been clothed with the Kings garment, righteousness, in the realm of the Spirit. The enemy of our soul has no access so shame and condemnation do not exist in this realm. We determine to set our minds on this reality.Blessings,TeresaA new class will be available every Thursday.Lets start an end of class discussion here! Holy Spirit School, Session 3: "The Spirit of Truth"
I began Holy Spirit School at Christian Faith Campus at the start of 2025. This is Session Three. You were never designed to carry life’s burdens. You were not created to bring order and perfection to your life.“God is the God of order…” (1 Corinthians 14:33).You were never designed to operate in fear or anxiety. The Holy Spirit breathed into you so you would be filled with His life….the fullness of His life in every thought, cell, heart function, and identity….Our believing hearts were made to attach themselves to truth. Fear is a virus that disguises itself as truth. Like a natural virus it attacks our peace and wellbeing. Where there is fear order has been disrupted. Where there is fear there is separation. Where there is separation, there is sin. Where there is sin, the heart is troubled and begins to break.Jesus is our antidote and when we take His Word and place it in our heart, healing takes over. Peace is restored. The Holy Spirit guides us to His truth and unveil it to us. His oil releases the stronghold of fear. Are we absorbing His oil?Blessings,TeresaA new class will be available every Thursday.Lets start an end of class discussion here! Please leave your comments below. This is a public episode. Holy Spirit School, Session Two: "The Holy Spirit Brings Rest"
I began Holy Spirit School at Christian Faith Campus at the start of 2025. This is Session Two.The Holy Spirit has been given to every believer in Jesus Christ. We know God and His works of Love through Jesus Christ. We KNOW God’s heart through the Holy Spirit. In relationship with the Holy Spirit, we can personally know the character of God and have access to the center of His heart.A life led by the Spirit is a life of rest. This rest is in a knowledge of who God is and who we are and our purpose on this earth. We give Him the treasure of our heart and He fills our heart with His treasure.“God will remove the calluses from your heart and your children’s hearts so that you can love God with all your heart and soul” (Deuteronomy 30:6).Our hearts are beautifully softened through the mindset controlled by the Holy Spirit.Be tender and teachable and you will become a greater reflection of God to the world.Blessings,TeresaA new class will be available every Thursday.Lets start an end of class discussion here! Holy Spirit School: Session One, "The Breath of God"
I began Holy Spirit School at Christian Faith Campus at the start of 2025. It is a class based on time spent in the Presence of the Holy Spirit every day for many years. His Presence is the center of my life. His Presence is where He makes every answer known to us. As we get closer to the end of this age, everything is getting louder, more chaotic, and deceptions abound. We need to hear His voice clearly. This is a short weekly audio class that will help you understand who the Holy Spirit is and how to live the “good” life led by Him.Romans 8:5-6 tells us, “Those who are motivated by the flesh only pursue what benefits themselves. But those who live by the impulses of the Holy Spirit are motivated to pursue spiritual realities. For the mind-set of the flesh is death, but the mind-set controlled by the Spirit finds life and peace.”ABUNDANT LIFE and PERFECT PEACE is what the Spirit wants for you in every area of your life. So lets explore, together, the privilege of following Him today…A new class will be available every Thursday.Lets start an end of class discussion here! Please leave your comments below.
