Can I Trust God When Life Doesn't Make Sense?
Have you ever looked at your life — or someone else's — and quietly thought, "God, I don't understand"? Why did they get healed and your loved one didn't? Why did that family stay together while yours fell apart? In this message from Romans 9, we dig into one of the most challenging chapters in Scripture — not as a theological debate, but as the words of a pastor with a broken heart for people far from God. Paul gives us three anchors to hold onto when life doesn't make sense: trusting God's heart, God's promises, and God's wisdom. You don't have to understand every decision God makes to trust His character. Faith doesn't grow because every question gets answered — it grows because we learn to trust who God is. Whether you're wrestling with unanswered prayers, grieving a loved one who walked away from Jesus, or just trying to make sense of your story — this message is for you.#Romans9 #CanITrustGod #HopeChurchNCAbout Hope Church:Hope Church is located in Burlington, NC, helping people follow, grow, live, and go for Jesus. The Struggle Is Real
Have you ever found yourself doing the very thing you promised you'd never do again? In Romans 7, the apostle Paul pulls back the curtain on his own battle with sin and reminds us that even mature believers wrestle with the flesh. In this message, we discover that the presence of the struggle is not the absence of salvation. The Christian life isn't about pretending the battle doesn't exist—it's about learning where to take it. Through Jesus, we're invited to stop relying on our own strength and instead depend on the grace that saves, sustains, and transforms us.If you're tired of failing, wondering if God is disappointed in you, or questioning your faith because of your ongoing struggles, this message is for you. The war is real—but so is the victory we have in Christ.

What is Your Assignment From God?
What does real faith actually look like?In Romans 4, we see that faith is more than belief—it leads to obedience. Using Abraham as an example, Paul teaches that we are not made right with God through religious performance, good works, or checking spiritual boxes. We are justified by faith in Jesus Christ alone.Just like Abraham trusted God’s promises and obeyed even when it didn’t make sense, we are called to put our faith into action. True faith moves. True faith obeys. True faith trusts God even when the outcome is uncertain. In this message, we explore:• What it means to be justified by faith• Why the atonement of Jesus is necessary• How religion can never replace relationship with God• Why obedience is the evidence of genuine faith• Abraham’s example of trusting God completely• How God calls every believer to live on mission with HimKey Scriptures:Romans 3–4Genesis 12James 2:17-22John 8:56-58No amount of good works can save us. Salvation comes through faith in Jesus—and that faith transforms the way we live.If this message encouraged you, make sure to like, subscribe, and share it with someone who needs hope today.

Righteousness Through Christ, Not Ourselves
So many of us live like we have to “fix ourselves” before we can come to God. We try harder. Do better. Clean things up. Prove we’re worthy. But Romans 3 tells a completely different story. In this message, we look at the truth that every person falls short — no matter their background, story, or mistakes — and yet Jesus made a way for us to be made right with God, not through our own effort, but through faith in Him.This isn’t about trying harder. This is about trusting Jesus. If you’ve ever felt like you’re not good enough for God, too far gone, or stuck trying to carry life on your own, this message is for you. At Hope Church, our mission is to do whatever it takes to help people follow, grow, live, and go for Jesus. If this message encouraged you, make sure to like, subscribe, and share it with someone who needs the reminder that they don’t have to come to Jesus perfectly — they can come just as they are.

You Don't Have To Carry It All
This Mother’s Day message from Hope Church is for every person who feels overwhelmed, exhausted, anxious, or like they’re carrying too much for too long.In “You Don’t Have to Carry It All,” we look at the story of Martha and Mary in Luke 10 and discover a powerful truth: Jesus never asked you to carry every burden alone. Whether you’re a mom, parent, caregiver, leader, spouse, or simply someone feeling crushed by pressure and expectations, this message is an invitation to stop surviving in survival mode and find rest in the presence of Jesus.Through scriptures like Luke 10, Psalm 55:22, Galatians 6:2, 1 Peter 5:7, and Matthew 11:28-30, we unpack:• Why so many people feel emotionally and spiritually exhausted• God’s design for community, support, and shared burdens• The difference between pressure and peace• How Jesus invites us to lay down anxiety, stress, and overwhelm• What it means to truly rest in God’s presenceNo matter what season you’re walking through, you don’t have to hold everything together on your own. Jesus offers rest, peace, and hope for the weary.

God Sees What You Hide… But He Still Offers Grace | Romans 2
Have you ever noticed how easy it is to see what’s wrong in everyone else, but miss what’s happening in our own hearts? In this message from Romans 2, we’re confronted with a powerful truth: God doesn’t judge the image we project, He judges the reality we live. And while we often measure ourselves by comparison, God’s standard is not “better than others,” but perfect righteousness.Through Scripture, we’re reminded that:We are often quick to judge others while overlooking our own sin.God’s judgment is always right, complete, and based on truth not appearance. His kindness and patience are not approval of sin, but an invitation to repentance.Delayed repentance is dangerous, but God’s grace is still actively calling us back.Nothing hidden is outside of God’s sight, yet nothing confessed is beyond His forgiveness. As Paul writes in Romans 2, God shows no partiality and will judge the secrets of the heart through Christ Jesus. And yet, that truth is not meant to drive us into fear—but into surrender. The good news of the gospel is this:We all fall short (Romans 3:23), but Jesus took the judgment we deserved so we could receive the mercy we could never earn (Romans 6:23).So the question isn’t just what we believe, it’s how we respond.
