Hope Grows Here: Rooted in Love Conversations

Life would be so much simpler if we could just have all the answers and some clarity. But that is rarely the case. Maybe the faith isn't in having all the answers but rather on depending upon God's presence and companionship.

In a culture where busyness is idolized it can be difficult to take time to pause, to rest, renew and reflect. Join us as we consider the value of holy rest.

In our Both/And series this week we are looking at Saint and Sinner. We tend define ourselves by our past failures. However, Apostle Paul could acknowledge his need for grace while also recognizing he was forgiven and loved by God.

Our world is full of division. We tend to see people in categories of "us and them." These categories apply to race, politics, ethnicity....and on and on. The Apostle Paul challenges our categories and invites us to see all people as created in the image of God.

It is easy to divide life up into "holy" moments and "ordinary" moments. But what if those are artificial categories. How could it change our perspective to see every moment as "holy?" Join us as we explore this in this in this episode of "Hope Grows Here."

Faith is not just about believing the "right" things....or feeling all the "right" things. Faith is a melding of both the intellect and our emotions. Join us as we reflect on transformative faith borne out of our head and our heart.

This week we reflect on our final message in the series Obstacles to Peace. Where peace begins is much closer than we might think. It begins with us, but how? Join as we reflect on where peace begins.

The Prophet Micah casts a vision of a time when swords will be transformed into plowshares. But what does that look like for us, in our daily lives?

This week we reflect on how resentment is an obstacle to God's peace in our lives. Maybe today we can loosen our grip on pain, disappointment and resentment and allow God to carry our burden.

In this week's episode, we linger with the invitation to wade into the waters of God's justice and righteousness. What might it look like to take one step into something larger than ourselves?
