I Can't (HE Can)
by Sarai Collado
Hello, everyone!! Welcome to I Can't (He Can) - a down to Earth and honest podcast about life's high's, lows, and everything in between. This podcast began with the intent of sharing childhood experiences, love, raising children, careers, my walk with Christ - not to mention, unpacking (very personal) daily struggles. However, in the most recent months, the show has evolved into something much, much greater. In my humble opinion, of course. Not only do we discuss all of the above; but we also began "The Sound Mind Series" which is dedicated to reading different books of the NKJV bible, word for word! Join me as I share my life journey, walk with Christ and AND share the Word of God. There is something for everyone. That, I can promise you. I pray this podcast not only entertains you - but more importantly - brings you closer to knowing and loving Jesus Christ. To that end, if you are not sure where your faith lies and/or if you're looking to grow closer to Jesus, THIS podcast is for

My Faith Journey in 6 Scriptures | Me, Now & Then | Ep 62 - AUDIO
Let’s records a spontaneous & unscripted episode despite feeling exhausted? Sure why not! :) Today we are reflecting on how this show shifted from “general life topics” to glorifying Christ. It all started as I began regularly attending church… little did I know that a few years in my walk, I can clearly see how these six Bible verses marked a different stage of my life and faith journey: Matthew 11:28–30 1 Timothy 1:12–15 John 3:30 2 Timothy 1:7 Psalm 51:10 Proverbs 16:9Each verse is connected to seasons of exhaustion, repentance, seeking godly community, praying for a clean heart, and trusting God’s timing as I wrestled (& still do) with work, family life, and future plans. Thank you for being here! I hope this blesses you.

Lord, Help My Unbelief: What to Do When Your Faith is Under Fire | Part 3 | Ep 60 - AUDIO
“Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” — Mark 9:24 What do you do when you believe in God… but your faith is still struggling? In Part 3 of the Faith Under Fire series, we’re getting honest about what happens when our faith is tested by waiting, disappointment, unanswered prayers, fear, doubt, and the trials we never expected. We’ll talk about what it really means to surrender to God, get out of our own way, and trust Him even when His answer isn’t the one we wanted. Through the stories of Job, the father who cried out “Lord, help my unbelief,” the Israelites crossing the Jordan, and Jesus’ parable of the wise and foolish virgins, we’ll look at how Scripture teaches us to keep our faith alive when life gets hard. We’ll also talk about something I struggle with myself: believing in God while still having questions. Because having moments of doubt doesn’t mean we stop seeking Him. Sometimes those are the moments when we need to pray even more.So ask yourself: Is my faith dependent on what God gives me? Can I trust Him when I don’t understand what He’s doing? Am I keeping oil in my lamp? What “stones” can I lay down to remind myself of what God has already brought me through?Your faith needs nourishment. Stay in the Word. Stay in prayer. Remember what God has already done. Keep your lamp filled. And when unbelief creeps in, don't be afraid to pray: “Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief.”Scriptures discussed: Mark 9:14–29 • Job 1:13–22 • Job 2:7–10 • Romans 5:3–5 • James 1:2–4 • Hebrews 11:1 • Romans 10:17 • Joshua 4:1–9 • Matthew 25:1–13 • Hebrews 13:8If this episode encourages you, subscribe and share it with someone whose faith is being tested right now. God bless you and keep you. Stay tuned for more, next week!

This Changed How I Pray: Psalm 51 | Bonus Episode!! | Ep 59 - AUDIO ONLY
Psalm 51:10 changed the way I pray. “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” This verse has become part of my daily prayers because, if I’m being real, I need God to work on my heart every single day. It doesn’t take much for our attitude to change, our patience to disappear, or for us to react in a way we know we shouldn’t. In this bonus episode of the I Can’t (He Can) Podcast, we’re reading Psalm 51 together and looking at what David’s prayer teaches us about repentance, forgiveness, God’s mercy, spiritual renewal, and asking God to create a clean heart within us. This episode is also part of my simple Book of Psalms series — on the first Monday of every month, we’ll slow down and read through a Psalm together, highlighting verses you can keep in your own “arsenal” for the moments when you need them. Because sometimes we don't need a complicated prayer. Sometimes we simply need: “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” — Psalm 51:10

God, Why am I Still Waiting? | Faith Under Fire, Part 2 | Ep 59 - AUDIO ONLY
Are you waiting on God and wondering why He hasn’t answered your prayer yet? Waiting on God can test your faith in ways getting an immediate answer never will. When the answer doesn’t come, we start asking: Does God hear me? Does He care? Why is this taking so long? Should I take matters into my own hands? In Part 2 of the Faith Under Fire series, we’re talking about how to trust God’s timing when you’re tired of waiting, how fear can expose the areas where our faith needs strengthening, and what it really means to surrender our plans and say, “Lord, Your will be done.” We’ll look at Abraham and Sarah and what happened when impatience caused them to try to speed up God’s promise. We’ll look at David and Goliath and ask whether we're measuring our giants against our own strength—or God’s. And finally, we’ll go to Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, where He gives us one of the greatest examples of surrender: “Nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.” — Matthew 26:39 I also share a very personal testimony about a season when I was tired, angry, afraid, and finally reached the point where I told God, essentially, “Fine, Lord. I surrender.” That experience changed the way I understand faith, waiting, and giving God the outcome I desperately wanted to control. Maybe you're waiting for healing. Maybe you're waiting for an answer. Maybe you're waiting for a relationship, a job, a breakthrough, a change in your family, or a prayer you've prayed over and over again. Whatever your waiting season looks like, ask yourself: Am I trusting God—or trying to rush Him? What could God be protecting me from in the wait? Am I responding with fear or faith? Have I actually surrendered the outcome to Him? Can I still say, “Your will be done,” if His answer looks different from mine? God sees what we cannot see. And sometimes the waiting season isn't just about receiving the thing we're praying for—it exposes what is happening inside of us while we wait. “But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength…” — Isaiah 40:31 🎙️ Scriptures discussed: James 1:2–4 • Genesis 15:1–6 • Genesis 16:1–4 • Genesis 21:1–7 • Isaiah 40:31 • Romans 8:25 • Psalm 27:13–14 • 1 Samuel 17:32–47 • Psalm 56:3–4 • Isaiah 41:10 • 2 Timothy 1:7 • Matthew 26:36–46 • Proverbs 16:9 If you're currently waiting on God, I pray this episode reminds you that you aren't alone. Is Your Faith Under Fire? How to Stand Firm in the Waiting (PT 1) - Ep 58 (AUDIO)
In this episode of I Can’t, He Can, I start a new series called Faith Under Fire, inspired by the Sound Mind Ladies Group study I’m leading this Saturday. In part one, I walk through sections one and two: what our responses to life’s trials reveal about our faith, and how solid our foundation is in Jesus when trouble hits. I read and reflect on James 1:2–4, Philippians 1:6, 2 Corinthians 5:17, and Matthew 14:22–33 (Peter walking on water), and I challenge us to take honest inventory of where we are emotionally, relationally, and spiritually. I also discuss how idols can show up in crisis and share scriptures on anxiety and trust, then point to Jehoshaphat’s response in 2 Chronicles 20 as a model for keeping our eyes on God.
