What Would a Christian Family Look Like Today? | Jeremy Pryor
Episode Summary: The modern West tells a story about family that sounds normal until you measure it against Scripture: raise kids, launch them out, start over every generation, and call it success. Jeremy Pryor, co-founder of Family Teams, argues that this “nuclear family” script is recent, fragile, and negatively forming both the culture and the church more than we want to admit. So we slow down and ask a better question: what did God design the family to be?Jeremy walks us through Genesis 1:28 as a five-part mission given to a family team: be fruitful, multiply, fill, subdue, and rule. From there, we connect the dots to Matthew 28 and the Great Commission, showing why disciple-making was never meant to be outsourced entirely to individuals and institutions. We dig into Abraham and why a recovered, Old Testament-shaped view of household, identity, and generations changes how we read the whole Bible, including the parts we tend to skip like genealogies. Then we get practical. We talk about the first-century oikos household, why rebuilding Christian discipleship at home starts with something as simple as the table, and how multi-generational meals and family stories restore depth and belonging. We also address the breakdown of fatherhood, the loss of household economy, homeschooling and education responsibility, and why marriage works best as a mission-driven partnership. If you want to see culture change, start where you actually have stewardship: your household. Who is Disciple Nations Alliance (DNA)? P*rn & Human Tr*fficking | What Every Christian Should Do | Lance Cashion
Modern slavery doesn’t start in the shadows. It starts with demand. And the darkest injustices in our world are often hidden behind the things that we tolerate.Today we talk with Lance Cashion, founder of the Forge Room Foundation, about the connection between pornography, commercial sexual exploitation, and sex trafficking. We dig into the worldview behind these evils and how when sex is detached from God’s design and people are reduced to objects, exploitation follows. But this issue isn’t just “out there.” Porn use inside the church almost mirrors the culture, including among leaders, yet few churches offer pathways to healing. How can the Church confront exploitation without addressing what’s happening within? We discuss real solutions: biblical clarity without shame, repentance with structure, and pathways to restoration. We also cover prevention, including the role of early literacy in reducing vulnerability, and close with practical guidance for parents on preparing their kids and creating a culture of honesty without shame.🎙️Guest: Lance Cashion is the Founder and CEO of the Forge Room Foundation and a pastor at King’s Cross Fellowship in Fort Worth, Texas. He previously served as a Local Outreach Pastor, leading strategic partnerships and outreach initiatives. Before ministry, Lance worked in business and the music industry. The Sin of Empathy: Compassion and Its Counterfeits | Dr. Joe Rigney
Episode Summary: Everyone loves empathy these days. But beware! Empathy seems to be a virtue perfect for hijacking and using for evil under the banner of good. In this provocative episode, we sit down with theologian Joe Rigney to expose the dangerous confusion between biblical compassion and what he calls “the sin of empathy.” When compassion is untethered from truth, it can manipulate hearts, distort justice, and harm the very people it claims to help. From gender identity and immigration to poverty, criminal justice, modern therapy culture, and almost every other social issue, we explore how empathy is often used to silence truth, reward dysfunction, and pressure Christians into moral compromise. This conversation challenges today’s “compassion narratives” and calls believers back to a deeper, stronger, and more truthful love that’s anchored in Scripture. This is a call to true Christian compassion: the kind that tells the truth, seeks genuine healing, and refuses emotional manipulation.Who is Disciple Nations Alliance (DNA)? Made to Live: The Good News of the Kingdom of God | Dwight Vogt
Episode Summary: Jesus talked about the Kingdom of God continually. In contrast to “church,” which is only mentioned twice, “kingdom” is mentioned over 120 times in the gospels. So why do we treat the Kingdom like it barely matters? In this episode, we sit down with our former co-host, Dwight Vogt, to discuss his newest book, Made to Live: The Good News of the Kingdom of God. Starting in Genesis 1, Dwight shows how the Kingdom is the unifying thread of Scripture and the key to understanding both the gospel and human purpose. We explore a simple framework for a kingdom which includes a king, realm, subjects, and the king’s will, and wrestle with big questions: If Jesus has all authority, why does evil still persist? What does “my kingdom is not of this world” really mean? And what does it look like to live under Christ’s reign today? From work and leadership to family and justice, this conversation shows how God’s Kingdom touches every part of life. What’s happening in the church today did not appear overnight. The roots go back more than a century. This week we are joined by Theology Mom, Krista Bontrager, co-founder of the Center for Biblical Unity. The Church has the Answerers: Poverty, UBI, Homelessness, and AI jobs | Ena Richards
Episode Summary: What if poverty isn’t mainly an economic crisis, but a discipleship crisis? This week, we sit down with a true expert, Ena Richards, founder of Work for a Living, to challenge the dominant narrative about poverty. Ena argues that poverty persists where destructive worldviews persist. It thrives in soils of blame, envy, entitlement, unforgiveness, addiction, fatherlessness, and victim identity. The solution clearly isn’t more handouts, but hearts transformed. Not performative empathy, but practical love. Not Sunday-only faith, but Monday formation that produces real economic impact. We discuss: • Poverty as a discipleship problem • Homelessness in the US and root-cause restoration • Job creation and dignity through work • Why universal basic income misses human design • How AI can be leveraged — not feared • Equipping churches to move people from dependency to contributionThe gospel is good news to the poor because it changes identity, and identity changes work. The Same Idea Fueled the Holocaust and the Sexual Revolution | Seth Gruber
Episode Summary: The sexual revolution isn’t progress. It’s a regression into outright paganism. This is not an overstatement.Today, we trace a direct line from Malthus and Darwin to Galton, Havelock Ellis, and Margaret Sanger, exposing how eugenic ideas shaped the birth control movement and continue to influence law, medicine, education, and even the Church today. Seth Gruber joins us to unpack his documentary The 1916 Project, laying out the historical evidence and connecting the dots from American academic elites to the Holocaust in Nazi Germany and then back again as those same ideas fueled the sexual revolution in the United States!Hear us wrestle with a modern paradox of how current anti-racist rhetoric comfortably coexists with praise for Sanger and her evil movement that explicitly sought the “cultivation of the better racial elements in our society, and the gradual suppression, elimination and eventual extirpation of defective stocks.” Few realize the impact that the normalization of birth control and contraception laws had in reshaping sexual ethics, eventually requiring abortion as a backstop, and why the Church’s silence helped clear the path. We close with hope, through the story of the White Rose resistance during WWII and a call to form believers to stand up and resist cultural capture with truth, courage, and love.Who is Disciple Nations Alliance (DNA)? Book Release "Occupy Till I Come" | Darrow Miller
Episode Summary: Christians make up more than half of the American population, but culture is unraveling. The future of the West will not be decided by elections, but by whether the Church rises or retreats. In this episode, we’re launching Occupy Till I Come with its author Darrow Miller and argue that the Great Commission includes discipling nations at the ground level of culture. The real crisis, Darrow contends, is the sacred/secular divide that has confined faith to Sundays and surrendered public life to rival worldviews.Let’s recover the biblical and historical vision that once gave the West life and order. From the image of God as the foundation of dignity, justice, and human rights to the Reformation’s role in shaping our current cultures. Then we get practical: unpacking vocation as worship, hospitality as discipleship, Scripture applied to public life, and courage under pressure. This is the hour to build. To occupy. To stand with clarity and courage. History is calling. The Church must answer.Key Endorsements:“The ideas in this book built our country, and they can restore it as well.” Dr. Josh Mulvihill“This book is Darrow Miller’s magnum opus. It captures the urgency of our current civilizational moment, calling for decisive choices that lead either to renewal or decline.” Nancy PearceyWho is Disciple Nations Alliance (DNA)? Is It Important That We Overturn Same-Sex Marriage? | Katy Faust
Episode Summary: Almost every cultural and political battle we face eventually lands on the shoulders of children. Modern culture talks endlessly about rights but often overlooks the rights of children. If children truly have rights, then marriage cannot mean whatever adults want it to mean. In this episode, Katy Faust argues that when marriage is redefined, parenthood is rewritten, and children are the ones who lose. She shows why defending God’s design for marriage and family isn’t merely a religious conviction, but a natural law argument with profound implications for society as a whole. We explore a child-centered framework for marriage, IVF, surrogacy, and sexual ethics grounded in general revelation, social science, and the biblical vision of human flourishing. The Obergefell case legalized same-sex marriage in the U.S. and had profound ripple effects on identity, parenthood, and a growing commodification of children. As a culture, we are becoming more aware about how redefinitions of marriage have harmed children. Do you feel at a loss for how to meaningfully think about this and talk about it? Join the movement to grow in clarity, courage, and meaningfully protect the voiceless in the coming generation.–How well do you understand the implications of gay marriage and its impact on children? Is Your Church Still Bowing to Woke Jesus? | Jon Benzinger
Episode Summary: During the “Great Awokening” in 2020 many churches cracked under the pressure. These cracks ran deeper than political talking points and cultural morays but stemmed from a divide at the level of worldview. Pastor Jon Benzinger from Redeemer Bible Church joins us to explain how social-justice ideology is still present and active. Even while the vigor of the woke movement has quieted, there remains a gospel-level conflict in the worldview of the people. We discuss how to spot the woke worldview’s lingering assumptions about sin, justice, and identity, and why changing vocabulary doesn’t always mean changing beliefs.Jon also shares practical guidance for Christians navigating cultural pressure, how churches can guard against ideological capture, and why clarity, courage, and genuine repentance, not simply rebranding, are the path forward. We close with a look at One Gospel, a new effort to rebuild unity around the core gospel’s first principles. If you want a clear roadmap for the church today, this episode is for you.Who is Disciple Nations Alliance (DNA)? In this episode, Luke and Scott Allen discuss Tim Keller, Charlie Kirk, and the critical question: how should Christians actively engage a post-Christian culture without losing their convictions? They dive into the rise of “winsome third wayism” in evangelical circles—why it captured the imagination of Christian elites and why it has faltered when culture demanded moral clarity. The hosts contrast cautious, approval-seeking engagement with a bolder model that speaks truth in love to every sphere—justice, freedom, sexuality, and policy—because all areas of culture matter to God and should be addressed from a biblical worldview. The Church is the Chaplain of the Nations: Wokeism, Islam, and the West
Episode Summary: Freedom, tolerance, and human dignity only exist in Christian nations. In this episode, we dive into Tory (Conservative) Member of Parliament Danny Kruger’s viral speech on England’s Christian foundations, exploring the myth of public neutrality and the consequences of abandoning a moral anchor. From parish life and common law to the sanctity of life and public office, we trace how Christian ideas shaped institutions that protect the weak and restrain the strong—and why leaving that framework vacant invites new “gods” to take their place. We examine the moral vacuum Kruger identifies: the rise of secular ideologies, the growth of Islam in Britain, and the hybrid “woke” creed mixing pagan revivals, Christian heresies, and modernist power theories. Rather than caricatures, we look at what these forces do to families, schools, and civic trust, and why a politics of grievance cannot sustain a free society. Along the way, we wrestle with difficult issues—late-term abortion, assisted dying, and repentance in public life—while charting a path for Christians to reclaim moral authority in politics and culture. From Alfred to Wesley to Wilberforce, history shows that revival can transform nations when the Church acts as the nation’s conscience. This conversation invites listeners to take ownership of the ideas, responsibilities, and institutions we inherit—and consider what it will take to restore freedom, truth, and hope for future generations.Who is Disciple Nations Alliance (DNA)? A Strategic Opportunity to Disciple Nations | Scott D. Allen
Episode Summary: What happens when we reduce the church’s mission to saving souls while neglecting culture? In this episode, Scott Allen and teammates, Luke and John, share the story of how the Disciple Nations Alliance grew out of a moment of repentance over thirty years ago—a moment that sparked a vision to equip local churches as God’s primary agents for discipling nations, not just growing congregations. In light of this vision, we believe there is a unique opportunity for the Church today, as we sit at a pivotal civilizational moment. We are witnessing an unlikely resistance to the four powerful ideological “waves”—Marxism, sexual revolution, radical Islam, and corrupt Western elitism—that are seeking to reshape societies around the world. Surprisingly, this resistance is being led outside the Church, as prominent secular thinkers rediscover the neglected message of Christianity and boldly point out that biblical principles provide the foundation for free and just societies. In this conversation, we reflect on how to promote this crucial message and what it truly means to embrace Christ’s lordship over every sphere of life. We call the Church to repent from a narrow understanding of mission and reclaim our role in transforming culture. Through personal stories, biblical insights, and practical vision, we invite you to discover how the Church can disciple nations and create societies that reflect God’s character.Who is Disciple Nations Alliance (DNA)? The Two Extremes: Ignoring or Idolizing Politics | Richard Nelson
Episode Summary: When the church stays quiet, society suffers. In this episode, Richard Nelson joins us to explore how Christians can faithfully engage in politics without falling into one of two extremes: ignoring politics or putting too much hope in and idolizing politics. We tackle common misconceptions about the separation of church and state and look at the chilling effects of the Johnson Amendment, which prohibits 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations from engaging in any political campaign activity. Since most churches have this status, the amendment applies to them. Richard urges the church to disciple believers in speaking truth with integrity, resist partisan co-opting, and address pressing moral issues like conscience rights for healthcare workers. This conversation challenges Christians to step boldly into public life with a biblical vision rooted in truth, integrity, and a fear of God above all else.Who is Disciple Nations Alliance (DNA)? Why Are the Jews So Hated? | Darrow Miller
Episode Summary: Antisemitism is surging at an alarming rate around the world—but what’s fueling this ancient hatred? In this episode, Darrow Miller joins us to explore the deeper spiritual realities driving antisemitism—realities the media, politicians, and even most churches won’t touch. This conversation isn't just about politics, land disputes, ancient grievances, or theological camps. At its core, antisemitism is a rejection of the moral universe revealed by the God of the Bible. When God called Abraham, He didn’t just form an ethnic group—He launched a revolutionary worldview with one sovereign Creator, one moral law, and one standard of truth. This vision of reality has, and will, always provoke hostility in a world that longs for autonomy.Jews, whether religious or secular, represent this divine worldview by their very existence. They are living reminders that there is a God—and that we are not Him! This is why totalitarian regimes, pagan cultures, and secular movements have always sought to erase them.Join us as we trace the spiritual and historical roots of antisemitism, from Egypt to Auschwitz to today’s college campuses. Examine how the same hatred directed at Jews eventually targets Christians who uphold biblical morality. The urgent question is: Will Christians stand in solidarity with the Jewish people—or remain silent as this civilizational crisis deepens?Who is Disciple Nations Alliance (DNA)? Why Does Your Worldview Matter? DNA Core Message Series
Our worldview shapes what we think, how we live, and the kind of culture we create. So when our communities bear bitter fruit—poverty, corruption, injustice—we need to look at the roots below the surface. In this episode, we explore how worldviews are formed, how they shape entire societies, and why true transformation comes from working at this level. Too often, Christian mission stops at conversion and overlooks the need for deep worldview discipleship, leaving people with many unbiblical cultural assumptions. Lasting change comes when our minds are renewed, leading to flourishing not only in our lives, but also in our families and nations as we live into God's design.Main Topics:What Is a Worldview? – How it forms and why it mattersIdeas Flow Downstream – From philosophers to principles to lifestylesRooted in Truth – How biblical worldview transforms hearts and societiesIt starts with us. Vishal Mangalwadi returns to challenge the pessimistic theology that has sidelined the Western church for decades. He argues that the West's decline politically and culturally stems from bad theology. Bigger Than Our Boxes: How Biblical Worldview Transcends Theological Camps
In today's fragmented Christian landscape, tribal loyalties sometimes overshadow biblical truth. At Disciple Nations Alliance, we're frequently asked where we fit theologically. The answer? We don't wear a denominational jersey—and that's by design. In this episode, we unpack why choosing Scripture over systems isn't theological compromise but an emphasis on the heart of God's mission.Rather than aligning with a single tradition, we stand on clear, foundational truths: Jesus is King, His kingdom is advancing, and His method is disciple-making through the Church—holistically and incarnationally—grounded in a biblical worldview. These truths transcend denominational lines and unify believers from Pentecostals in Latin America to Anglicans in Africa. This conversation is a call to elevate Scripture above interpretive frameworks, to approach theology with humility and charity, and to focus on telling the full biblical story.Make a matching gift donation by June 10!View the transcript, leave comments, and check out recommended resources on the Episode Landing Page!Learn More about the 2025 DNA Forum in Panama

Are we experiencing a spiritual revival—or facing a full-blown discipleship crisis in the American church? In this powerful conversation, renowned researcher Dr. George Barna shares alarming new data and challenges us to rethink how we measure spiritual health and make disciples in a post-Christian culture.Main TopicsThe Decline of Belief in the God of the BibleThe fastest-growing spiritual segment in America is now the “don’ts”—those who don’t know, don’t believe, or don’t care if God exists.Barna reveals a 30-year decline in belief in the God of the Bible. Why Discipleship Metrics Are FailingMost churches track attendance, programs, and budgets—but not spiritual transformation.Barna outlines six biblical criteria for true discipleship based on Jesus’ teachings.Only 1 in 10 born-again Christians actively disciples others. The Crucial Role of Children’s Ministry and Worldview FormationA child's worldview is largely formed by age 13, starting as early as 15–18 months.Only 12% of children’s pastors have a biblical worldview themselves.Barna’s "Seven Cornerstones" research shows that rejecting even one foundational belief drops the likelihood of a biblical worldview from 83% to just 2%.What if the greatest threat to the church today isn’t cultural hostility—but our failure to make true disciples?View the transcript, leave comments, and check out recommended resources on the Episode Landing Page!Learn More about the 2025 DNA Forum in Panama

Let’s Talk AI from a Biblical Worldview Perspective | Brian Johnson
AI offers incredible potential, from accelerating Bible translation to combating human trafficking and much more – but what else is at stake? Is AI dehumanizing you? If we're not careful, the mind-blowing capabilities of artificial intelligence will lure us into surrendering our discernment, knowledge, and intellect to this new pseudo-intelligence. Beyond information, people are turning to AI for companionship, while some want AI and technology to extend lifespan in a search for immortality.Today, we're joined by a fascinating guest: Brian Johnson, who brings over 30 years of leadership in emerging technology and cybersecurity to the table. He offers uniquely Christian perspectives on AI’s rapid rise and profound impact on humanity.Johnson helps us understand the last 50 years of technological development and explains the recent seismic shift from an "attention economy" to a "relational economy," where AI no longer just captures your focus—it mimics human relationships and connection. This raises deep questions about human identity and humanity’s age-old temptation to "become like God" through our own creations.Despite these dangers, this conversation is filled with hope. Brian shares how Christians can and should engage AI wisely—using it for Kingdom purposes. If you're ready to think deeply about faith, technology, and what it means to be human in an AI-driven world, this episode will equip and encourage you to stay grounded in God's unchanging truth.View the transcript, leave comments, and check out recommended resources on the Episode Landing Page!Learn More about 10 Words to Heal Our Broken World
