Last episode of the first season of our podcast where we share our impressions and discuss BLM movement and racism, constitution change in Russia and reflect on first season of our podcast.

This is the 8th episode of our Imesh-Mimesh podcast, with linguist from University of Buffalo Andrey Drinfeld. Andrey is an absolutely unique person - Ukrainian-American linguist who is fluent in Tatar (and like 8 other languages), and big fan of Tatar and Bashkort music, culture and history. We talk about the origins of modern Tatar language, its interaction with neighboring Finno-Ugric languages and relation to ancient Bulgar language. Also, we discuss the history of Tatars and of course a little bit of Tatar music (with Andrey singing a Tatar song!)  This episode would very informative for most Tatars (and a lot of fun!) In the 7th episode of our podcast we talk about the stories behind our emigration, the challenges of an immigrant life, as well as discuss the history and geography of Tatar emigration. Our guest is Tatar entrepreneur living in Turkey - Ilshat Nazipov.
