When we find it hard to sustain our prayer lives for different reasons, we can wage a good warfare with the Word of God. This charge and admonition I commit in trust to you, Timothy, my son, in accordance with prophetic intimations which I formerly received concerning you, so that inspired and aided by them you may wage the good warfare1 Tim 1:18

One of the ways of building a stable prayer life even in times of uncertainties is by understanding the reason and need to meditate on God’s WordJoshua 1:8This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.Psalm 1:2But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

One of the ways to build a stable prayer life is by being still in Gods presence even when it seems like we are at witts end. This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: “Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength. Isaiah 30:15But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

One of the ways of building a stable prayer life is by allowing the Holy Spirit to lead your prayer patterns. Romans 8:14- For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

One of the ways to building a stable prayer life is by knowing the Word of God which anchors our souls when we are weary. It is our vocabulary for prayer . Hebrews 6:19- We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain,

One of the ways of building a stable prayer life is by coming to prayer purely to search for God and know Him without a specific request. In other words, being intentional about just waiting on Him for Him.

There is a way to pray effectively. You can build structures that help you to remain consistent & diligent. Some biblical examples include ; Hannah, Zechariah, Daniel, Cornelius and Jesus our ultimate example. Acts 10:30“And Cornelius was saying, "Four days ago, until this hour, the ninth hour, I was praying in my house; and behold, a man in bright apparel stood before me,….”

How can you build a stable prayer life? Learn how to build a solid foundation and remove distractions and distractions. Psalm 11:3- If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

Happy 2026 and yes it’s another year yet again to exercise our faith. Remember the “just shall live by faith”- Hebrews 10:38

Worship is one of the tools that can be used in effective prayer because it keeps our focus on God and causes us to see the situation through His eyes

One of the ways we can build our friendship with God is through our trust & devotion to Him

One of the ways of growing closer in friendship to God is by reading His Word-The Bible. Psalm 119:105, Psalm 119:11

One of the ways to grow in our friendship with God is when we praise & worship Him. Acts 16:25, Psalm 100

A friendship with God can be strengthened through Prayer. When prayer becomes more than a transaction but an act of fellowship, our friendship with God can grow. Luke 5:16- Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed, and one day he went to a mountain side to pray and spent the night praying to God

Did you know that time with God, intentional pursuit of His presence and living according to His precepts and abiding by His Words can make us relevant wherever we go.

What does it mean to abide in God and how can our friendship and relationship with Him grow as we abide in Him.John 15 tells us more about how we can abide in Him

Committing to a person shows them your level of interest in the relationship and friendship. Commitment is better demonstrated through actions. 2 Timothy 2:12- If we suffer, we shall also reign with Him

How can you build a friendship with God through proximity. He wants to be in your presence also. Psalm 42:1 -“As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God. I thirst for God, the living God. When can I go and stand before him?” NLT‭‭

Intimacy A friendship with God is something that can be developed as an intimate relationship with Him is pursued intentionally.

God wants to draw us closer to Him and reveal what is on His heart to us. This begins with us being interested in developing a friendship with Him. Do you desire to go deeper with God. In this teaching I share some tips that will help in developing a closer walk

Waiting on God and yielding to Him

Waiting in God’s presence is an art that can be developed when we practice it frequently. It causes our hearts to be expectant. Proverbs 23:18 For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.

Waiting on God is one of the ways to develop intimacy with God. Proverbs 8:34-35Blessed is the man that heareth me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoso findeth me findeth life, And shall obtain favour of the LORD.

Have you ever wondered if beauty can come out of brokeness? Romans 8:15So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.”Are you feeling isolated?Know that you belong because you have been adopted by our Heavenly Father !

Learn another attribute of God as one of Love. His Love never fails and is unending. I Cor 13

God can heal and promises us healing. It is the portion of believers. Exodus 23:25, Isaiah 53:5-8, Deut 7:15, 1 Peter 2:24, James 5:14-15, , Jeremiah 30:7, James 5:6.

One of the beautiful things about being guided by God is that we are guaranteed to be led in the right direction and are granted the opportunity to surrender. Isaiah 40:31, Psalm 119: 105- Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path , Psalm 23. Be blessed in Jesus precious name as you listen!

Another benefit of prayer in this segment is that it caused Daniel to be remembered and it led to him being promoted. Daniel 5:11- There is a man in your kingdom who has the spirit of the holy gods in him. In the time of your father he was found to have insight and intelligence and wisdom like that of the gods.

In Daniel Chapter 2, we see how a life of prayer and devotion to God was a key factor in granting Daniel the ability to exercise wisdom and know how to handle sensitive matters

A study of how Daniel’s life of prayer and devotion to God shows us the importance of prioritising and having reverence for God in all circumstances especially when we are faced with compromising situations. Daniel 6:1-16. Proverbs 3:5-6

We look at one of the most important keys to sustaining favour. Honour- recognising , identifying and acknowledging the role and importance of another person. Esther 2:15- ”Esther was the daughter of Abihail, who was Mordecai’s uncle. (Mordecai had adopted his younger cousin Esther.) When it was Esther’s turn to go to the king, she accepted the advice of Hegai, the eunuch in charge of the harem. She asked for nothing except what he suggested, and she was admired by everyone who saw her.“ ‭‭

How can we grow in favour? Let’s consider some of these biblical examples. For thou O Lord will bless the righteous and will surround Him with favour as a shield - Psalm 5:12, David found favour with God -Acts 7:46, Noah found favour with God- Genesis 6:8, Daniel was preferred-Daniel 6:3, Daniel 5:12, Jesus increased in wisdom, stature and favour before God and man. What is favour? God’s favour does work in our lives and you can rejoice over it. Discover how it protects us and makes us enjoy His love even in adverse circumstances. Genesis 18:3, Isaiah 41:8, Psalm 5:12, Exodus 33:17-23, Genesis 39:4-6
