Philippians 3:9 What is the means of being found in Christ? Faith in the person and work of Jesus! This is the provision of the Godhead before the foundation of the world. Even faith itself is a gift of God.

Philippians 3:8-9 Paul counts Everything as loss that he might win Christ and be found in him. His life, his salvation, his identity, is in Christ

Philippians 3:7-8 Is it really necessary to give up everything in order to win Christ? Paul, the example, or pattern says yes. Jesus in his preaching and parables says yes. Few people will win Christ, why? Not counting. They desire to hold onto the world, their thinking, their religion and relationships.

Philippians 1:4-8 Paul counted, and said, I count, and do count all things but dung that I may win Christ. He counted to reach a total, an end, a conclusion. 

Philippians 1:1-8 Paul counted, to reach a total. If we don’t count, think, consider the end, we will choose the temporary and reject the eternal. Paul’s experience on the Damascus Road caused him to count. 

Philippians 1:1-3 Paul is writing to this church that they might be safe. Not safe for the moment, but safe in eternity. He is relating his personal experience and salvation.

1 Timothy 1:12-16 If Paul is the pattern of God’s working in salvation, and his desire for the Philippians is that they might be safe. I should look at the pattern and see if what  happened with Paul, has happened in me. 

Matthew 16:1-6 Pay attention, be cautious. The doctrine of the Pharisees is detrimental. If your righteousness does not exceed theirs, you will end up in hell.

1 Timothy 1:1-8 Paul is what he is by the Commandment of God. Man is Separated from God by sin and death. Thank God for his call and command to us. My motive for serving God, His love toward me.

We have the doctrine of Christ, then we have the life of the man Jesus Christ. Upon believing the word, The Holy Ghost was poured out on Cornelius and all of his friends and family. 

Luke 11:33-36 If the eye is evil, hurtful, morally and spiritually diseased, the whole body will be full of darkness. Christ came  to do a work on the whole man, bringing enlightenment, beginning inside, not outside

Matthew 3:5-11 John told his followers all he could do was baptized with water. He could only do something outward. The Holy Ghost and the word of God does the essential cleansing and separating and that work is inward.

Luke 11:29-36 What is the condition of the eye,  when the light comes unto man? Is there a desire to see, or a desire to get rid of the light? 

Ezekiel 9:1-7 The Lord commands the man in the linen garment, with the ink horn by his side, to mark the true worshippers. The destroyers are to follow. Those marked are preserved, those without the mark are destroyed, Without Mercy! 

Psalm 86:17 The psalmist is desiring that the Lord would make Him a token, a sign, marked by God as one of His. Having the favor of God manifested in his life. How we need the Holy Spirit to control the whole of our life and the world to see it, for His glory 

Luke 11:1-13 Jesus gave instructions to His disciples, how to pray. We may think we are aware of what we need, but He also tells us what to ask for, with encouragement and promise that we can have our request. 

John 14:26 Understanding and revelation of the scripture. Conviction of sin, judgment, and righteousness. Only through the Holy Ghost, is man brought to the truth. 

Luke 4:14 After His temptation, Jesus returned in the power of the Holy Spirit.  After His death and resurrection He returned to the father, and the father sent the Holy Ghost to be with his followers. 

What part does He the Holy Spirit have in creation, the birth of Jesus, the life and ministry of Jesus, the miracles of Jesus. We are powerless human beings, unable to do any lasting or true spiritual work without the enabling of the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 6:13 Pray, lead us not into a trial in which we fall to the evil one. Thank the Lord, His is the kingdom, power, and glory. He is in control of all our trials, for our growth and his glory.

Matthew 6:5-15 We can never be more Christlike, than when we forgive. We can never be more wicked in character than when we refuse to forgive.

Matthew 6:7-12 Pray like this! Many times we ask for the wrong things, not if we follow this framework.

1 Thessalonians 1:5-10 The Word of God is valued, honored, exalted, made glorious by the actions of the believers at Thessalonica. 

2 Thessalonians 3:1 Paul asks the Thessalonians to pray for him that the Word of God might run rapidly without hindrance.

Hebrews 4:14-16 Our high priest has ascended into the heavens, been accepted by God, seated on the right hand of God, making intercession for His people, invites us to come in time of need, to a throne of grace. We can rest here, in Him!! 

Hebrews 4:11-13 We are admonished to labor to enter into the rest provided by God. The Word of God is searching, powerful, piercing, with precision, revealing to man what is really in him hypocrisy or truth. We will give account to God! 

Hebrews 4:1-11 It’s not laboring in the sense of work, but with speed, diligence, striving, examination of self and scripture. There is a rest for the people of God. 

Hebrews 4:1-8 No doubt, millions have failed to enter into the rest provided by God. The writer is warning us to fear, lest that happen to us. Be fearful, examine yourself, give diligence, We’re talking about eternity! 

Numbers 10:33 How will we be able to find a resting place? Follow the Word of God! Our Sovereign, our guide, our director, our provider. 

Matthew 21:23-C The religious elite are questioning the authority of Christ. He has some questions for them also, each one bringing condemnation. Will you fall on the Rock of Ages,  or will He fall on you?

1 Kings 5-6. Solomon was the builder of the temple. Taking seven years to complete, and was one of the most magnificent, expensive, and glorious structures ever built. Jesus is greater than Solomon. 

Matthew 12:42 Greater than Solomon. Solomon passed all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.(2 Chronicles 9:22) Yet,  his kingdom was limited. 

Mark 2:42 Christ is greater than Solomon in his coming into the world, his riches, his peace, his wisdom.

Matthew 12:41  Jesus a greater messenger, with a greater message, and yet there is no repentance , no change. The men of Nineveh repented at the preaching of Jonah, condemning the unchanged. A greater than Jonah is here! 

Matthew 12:6 The temple was erected as a dwelling place of God, a place of communion with God. Jesus came into the world and was called Emanuel,  God with us. He is greater than the Temple!
