S2E06 - Firmly Planted - Psalm 1
All 150 Psalms bring both unique and in-common connections for our relationship with our King. Most are written by King David, as well as sons of Korah and assorted others. Even Moses had his own "song" (Psalm 90 - pretty cool). All of the Psalms were musical and designed for praising God and...
-
S2E05 - Kiss The Son – Psalm 2
I get a kick out of Psalm 2. Hundreds of years before Jesus appeared in Israel King David was receiving in-depth imagery of who the Savior of the world would be. In fact, David was a "type" of the Kingship and forever reign of Jesus the Son, and in Him David was told he would find immortality.…

S2E07 - Lift My Head - Psalm 3
We are very earthbound. We come from the dust and will return to the dust. We live based upon what we see. We were made from the earth because we were made for the earth. It is our nature. But because of the fall of Adam and Eve we have lost the ability (or desire) to "walk with God in the cool…

S2E04 – The Words of God – Psalm 19
King David had an incredibly special relationship with the words of God. He spoke them. He sang them. He celebrated them and lived by them. Whether recounting the wonders of creation or the ancient writings of the Hebrew people (Torah), David knew his Creator through what had and was being...

S2E03 – My Ascending Heart – Psalm 126
Friend! The Songs of Ascents. (Psalms 120-134) What was a song of ascents? During the great feasts of Israel's both Jews and converts came to the city of David from all over the world. Psalm 126 is one of these celebrating "songs" reflecting the heart of what was often a once in a lifetime...

S2E02 My Connecting Heart - Psalm 24
We begin today with a great Psalm that talks about connecting with our Creator! Psalm 24 A little background on the LORD word here :) 1) I AM - see Moses when he takes off his shoes - "I Am Who I Am" YHVH holy name 2) Note Elijah when God is passing by (1 Kings 19) 3) Observe Jesus when He…

S2E01 - What Is Kingdom Mornings?
For me it has become all about connection with my spirituality. Jesus has made it clear that my spirituality is in my hands. It is all about intentionality. What is it I want, and what will it take to get me there? I do not want to be passive. I choose not to be an excuse maker. I want to be a...

S1E28: Epoch 8 - To the End of the Age - 3
This session will complete our journey through all of the 8 Great Epochs in the Fabric of Time. It is hard to imagine a God who is not impacted by time - because He lives above and beyond it. This means that eternity is truly unbound by time. It is certainly a different reality because of our...
-
S1E27: Epoch 8 - To the End of the Age - 2
We have taken a look at the words of Jesus about the end of this world and the beginning of the one to come. Matthew, Mark, and Luke all record His explanation as He answers His disciples about the future. It must have blown their minds! John will add his thoughts when God gives him the…

S1E26: Epoch 8 - To the End of the Age - 1
As with all things when interpreting God's Story, Jesus is the ultimate authority. On History. On the Law and the prophets. On the Psalms. On the Gospels and the letters. On the end of the age. We begin our consideration of the end of the age with the words of Jesus. "Now He said to them, "These...
-
S1E25: Epoch 7 - To the Ends of the Earth - 2
The word church is mentioned only a few times in the Gospels, but the word Kingdom is used over 100 times. The King (Jesus) comes first. Than His Kingdom. Next His Church. The simplest definition of church can be found in Matthew 18:19-20: "Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth...
-
S1E24: Epoch 7 - To the Ends of the Earth - 1
Listening to the Israel/Palestine protests right now it is amazing how ignorant of history we are as a world and national culture. In the book of Esther a man named Haman ramped up widespread genocide of Jews. Read the story and see how that worked for him. Hitler did the same in the Holocaust...
-
S1E23: Epoch 6 - Shining Light 2 - Deeper in the 4 Gospels
The Power of Four: we have previously discussed the backgrounds and nature of the four Gospels, and how each is designed for the specific purpose of revealing God through Jesus. You will notice in our Book by Book course that we have taken time to provide an overview to help unlock the message of...
-
S1E22: Epoch 6 - Shining Light 1 - Garden To Garden
We began Jesus Centric with a look at the idea that Jesus is "making all things new." This formed our foundational purpose for the four Gospels - and ultimately every Jesus-Centric book of the entire God Story. For two episodes we now return to the Gospels to dig more deeply into the character…

S1E21: Epoch 5 – The Return 2
Now that we have investigated the books of Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther, we take a look at the three prophets who taught and encouraged them in their rigorous work during the return to the Land. Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi bring wisdom and encouragement to God's builders - in every century! Page...
-
S1E20: Epoch 5 - The Return - 1
Resolution is the very heart of our Creator. This is why He is also our Savior. When the Jews came back from self-inflicted slavery God made a way for them. He makes a way for us as well. After 400 "silent" years the words of the prophets begin to be fulfilled: Messiah is coming! We must not...
-
S1E19: Epoch 4 – Prophets And Captivity 2
The Prophets of the People of God This episode we focus each of the 17 prophets of Israel represented in the God Story. It may be the best shot you have to place the prophets in context, so taking the time now will help you mobilize these prophets into your spiritual life for years to come!...
-
S1E18: Epoch 4 - Prophets and Captivity - 1
Our last epoch found God's people heading for captivity because of their sin. They had rejected honor of God, and had become captive to their idolatrous impulses. Sound familiar? We have examined our human and spiritual origins in Genesis and Job. We have seen Jesus in every book of the God…

S1E17: Epoch 3 - Kings and Kingdoms - 2
In our last episode we talked about the first two kings of the united kingdom of Israel: Saul, who had no heart for God and David who had a whole heart for God. This did not mean David was perfect, for sure. He too, experienced failure and shame. But his heart for God carried him through his...
-
S1E16: Epoch 3 - Kings and Kingdoms - 1
The concept of Kingship is woven throughout the GodStory. It begins with our Creator's dominion over all, carries through His genesis of principalities and powers and angels, then all the creatures of the earth, and finally: the sons and daughters of Adam and Eve. Part of this story is the…

S1E15: Epoch 2 - Deliverance - 2
In Epoch 1 of the 8 Great epochs in the fabric of time we considered the books of origins: Genesis and Job. These are our ancient roots. We learned from the woven threads of the God Story that the Son who came in the form of Jesus also was the Creator of everything. "For He rescued us from the...

S1E14: Epoch 2 - Deliverance - 1
Remember, you can go deeper into any book of the Bible by going to the navbar under courses. There is also a Deeper course to help you with your skills. "Bow and bend before the Son, that He not become angry, and you perish in the way, for His wrath may soon be kindled. How blessed are all who…

S1E11: The Streamsbook
We have enjoyed a relational dive into the four gospels. In Matthew Jesus leads us to humbly accepting His Kingship - King first, then Kingdom, then Church. Mark reveals the ultimate healing power of Jesus, over physical maladies of course, but healing us from the inside-out. Wow. The healing of...
-
S1E10: Connectivity - 2
There are so many things involved with Jesus incarnation and His coming to seek and save that which is lost. Basically this means that the Son left heaven and came in the form of a man to do His Father's will. There is so much we do not understand about the relationship between the Father, Son…

S1E09: Connectivity - 1
Many agree that John the disciple penned his gospel between 30-40 years after the resurrection of his King, Jesus. What's cool about this is that he had plenty of time to process, grow as a follower (he was probably in his 20's when he walked with Jesus), and apply the things he had seen, heard,...
-
S1E08: Discipleship
Discipleship is talked about somewhat, redefined often, and was avoided even by Jesus' own. HIS EXAMPLE TO HIS DISCIPLES On the next day, when they came down from the mountain, a large crowd met...
-
S1E07: Son of Man
Jesus is clearly named the son of man in the Bible. The Jewish prophets tell of His coming (see Ezekiel and Daniel). He often indicates this about Himself as well. Son of man speaks of both His god-ness and His humanity.
-
S1E06: True Authority
When we think about supernatural healing it is important to consider the authority behind such abilities. Doctors use skills and knowledge of science and medicine. But God is the Author of the miraculous as well. The Roman or Gentile mind (for whom Mark's Gospel was written) was much more...
-
S1E05: Jesus The Healer
Today we consider Jesus as our healer. What is the biblical context for the nature and extent of healing? What was the Son's purpose in coming to the earth in human form regarding our healing? What did Jesus' serving-healing look like, and what are the implications for us as we follow our King?
-
S1E04: The Kingdom Soul
Matthew brings clarity to Jesus' message of the Kingdom. King first, then Kingdom, then church. Did you know that the word church is mentioned only a couple of times in the Gospels, but the Kingdom over 100 times...
-
S1E03: The Kingdom Door
The Coming of the King As we have mentioned before, the King comes first, then His Kingdom, then the church. We have discussed how the Son (Jesus) is the Creator of all that exists (Colossians 3), and His first coming in human form was accomplished to honor the Father and defeat death. To do this...

S1E02: The Wisdom of Jesus
In episode #1 we viewed how the woven threads of the incredible, one of a kind God Story revolves around the eternal heart of the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Spirit of Grace. We launch episode #2 with the GodStory in 8 Minutes. It is so important to see the big picture God has revealed...

S1E01: What is Jesus Centric?
JESUS-CENTRIC and the Heart and Mind of the Father of Everything The perfect family emanates from eternity. They needed nothing but each other to live in completion and fulness.
