June 2014 Prayers

Let us pray for churches in the world, but especially across America. That the Holy Spirit touch the heart of every congregant, and for those who are preach, that their message be void of politics and void relativity, and that they focus on preaching the message of salvation.

  1. 95

    Evening Prayer

Are you a prayer warrior? Do you feel a deep desire to constantly prostrate yourself before the Lord in prayer? Do people frequently come to you and ask you to pray for them? When you see a homeless person or a car accident on the road do you automatically go into prayer mode? Perhaps you should consider becoming part of the Order of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The Order of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is an interdenominational ministry of prayer. All denominations, Catholic, Baptist, Anglican, Methodists, Lutheran, Presbyterian, and Pentecostal are welcome. We are not in the business of changing your denomination or taking you away from your church, congregation or parish, we are in the business of prayer. Visit us at http://sacredheartjesus.org for more info.

  2. 94

    Afternoon Prayer

Zechariah 14:99 The Lord will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one Lord, and his name the only name.

  3. 93

    Morning Prayer

Romans 12:2 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

  4. 92

    Evening Prayer

Matthew 10:40-42Jesus said, "Whoever welcomes you welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. Whoever welcomes a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet's reward; and whoever welcomes a righteous person in the name of a righteous person will receive the reward of the righteous; and whoever gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones in the name of a disciple-- truly I tell you, none of these will lose their reward."

  5. 91

    Act of Reparation

Lord Christ, we constantly forget all that You have had to endure because of our sin. Yet forever You remain merciful and constantly forgive us.We cannot repay Your grace, but we certainly do acts that show our true desire to serve you and love you.

  6. 90

Memorare to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Jesus have mercy on us. We come to you knowing that we have sinned, but also knowing that when we humble before you and repent, you forgive us.

  7. 89

    Evening Prayer

2 Timothy 2:22b-26Shun youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. Have nothing to do with stupid and senseless controversies; you know that they breed quarrels. And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kindly to everyone, an apt teacher, patient, correcting opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant that they will repent and come to know the truth, and that they may escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.

  8. 88

    Afternoon Prayer

Have you shared the love of Jesus Christ with anyone today? I don't mean did you preach to anyone or quote some scripture to anyone today. This is very important and critical, but you have to personalize scripture in order to be more effective in sharing. What do I mean by that? We as believers need to put the scriptural passages that we read from scripture and we need to put them into practice. You see, the bible is meant to be lived out, not just quoted. So we have to be out there sharing the love of Christ by deed first, before we can start quoting scriptural passages to people. We have to feed the hungry, help the homeless, welcome the alien, visit the sick, tolerate those who are different, pray for the needs of others, etc. In doing these things and more, we are doing as Christ did, we are loving our brothers and sisters.

  9. 87

    Sacred Heart Morning Prayer

Today as I was doing Morning Prayer there were several interruptions that I felt would have been very disruptive to anyone listening to the prayers. Normally I would say the prayer again right away but I have to leave now.I will try saying the prayer again later in the morning.

  10. 86

    Evening Prayer

Matthew 16:25For whoever wants to save their life[a] will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.

  11. 85

    Morning Prayer

Deuteronomy 7:9 9 Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations. . . .

  12. 84

    Morning Prayer

Isaiah 61:1 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,because the Lord has anointed meto bring good news to the poor;he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound. . . .

  13. 83

    Afternoon Prayer

Acts 13:14b-26On the sabbath day Paul and his companions went into the synagogue and sat down. After the reading of the law and the prophets, the officials of the synagogue sent them a message, saying, "Brothers, if you have any word of exhortation for the people, give it." So Paul stood up and with a gesture began to speak:"You Israelites, and others who fear God, listen. The God of this people Israel chose our ancestors and made the people great during their stay in the land of Egypt, and with uplifted arm he led them out of it. For about forty years he put up with them in the wilderness. After he had destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan, he gave them their land as an inheritance for about four hundred fifty years. After that he gave them judges until the time of the prophet Samuel. Then they asked for a king; and God gave them Saul son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, who reigned for forty years. When he had removed him, he made David their king. In his testimony about him he said, `I have found David, son of Jesse, to be a man after my heart, who will carry out all my wishes.' Of this man's posterity God has brought to Israel a Savior, Jesus, as he promised; before his coming John had already proclaimed a baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel. And as John was finishing his work, he said, `What do you suppose that I am? I am not he. No, but one is coming after me; I am not worthy to untie the thong of the sandals on his feet.'"My brothers, you descendants of Abraham's family, and others who fear God, to us the message of this salvation has been sent."

  14. 82

    Evening Prayer

Jeremiah 20:7-13O LORD, you have enticed me, and I was enticed; you have overpowered me, and you have prevailed. I have become a laughingstock all day long; everyone mocks me. For whenever I speak, I must cry out, I must shout, "Violence and destruction!" For the word of the LORD has become for me a reproach and derision all day long. If I say, "I will not mention him, or speak any more in his name," then within me there is something like a burning fire shut up in my bones; I am weary with holding it in, and I cannot. For I hear many whispering: "Terror is all around! Denounce him! Let us denounce him!" All my close friends are watching for me to stumble. "Perhaps he can be enticed, and we can prevail against him, and take our revenge on him." But the LORD is with me like a dread warrior; therefore my persecutors will stumble, and they will not prevail. They will be greatly shamed, for they will not succeed. Their eternal dishonor will never be forgotten. O LORD of hosts, you test the righteous, you see the heart and the mind; let me see your retribution upon them, for to you I have committed my cause. Sing to the LORD; praise the LORD! For he has delivered the life of the needy from the hands of evildoers.

  15. 81

    Morning Prayer

Genesis 21:8-21The child grew, and was weaned; and Abraham made a great feast on the day that Isaac was weaned. But Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, whom she had borne to Abraham, playing with her son Isaac. So she said to Abraham, "Cast out this slave woman with her son; for the son of this slave woman shall not inherit along with my son Isaac." The matter was very distressing to Abraham on account of his son. But God said to Abraham, "Do not be distressed because of the boy and because of your slave woman; whatever Sarah says to you, do as she tells you, for it is through Isaac that offspring shall be named for you. As for the son of the slave woman, I will make a nation of him also, because he is your offspring." So Abraham rose early in the morning, and took bread and a skin of water, and gave it to Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, along with the child, and sent her away. And she departed, and wandered about in the wilderness of Beer-sheba. When the water in the skin was gone, she cast the child under one of the bushes. Then she went and sat down opposite him a good way off, about the distance of a bowshot; for she said, "Do not let me look on the death of the child." And as she sat opposite him, she lifted up her voice and wept. And God heard the voice of the boy; and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven, and said to her, "What troubles you, Hagar? Do not be afraid; for God has heard the voice of the boy where he is. Come, lift up the boy and hold him fast with your hand, for I will make a great nation of him." Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water. She went, and filled the skin with water, and gave the boy a drink. God was with the boy, and he grew up; he lived in the wilderness, and became an expert with the bow. He lived in the wilderness of Paran; and his mother got a wife for him from the land of Egypt.

  16. 80

    Morning Prayer

1 John 4:20-21 20 If anyone says, I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. 21 And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.

  27. 69

    Afternoon Prayer

There are some who claim that they do not sin. Obviously, they are deceiving themselves when they do that.We all sin and fall short of God's glory. So we must all confess our sins, so that God who is faithful and just may forgive us our sins. This is really the only way to live, it is the only way to give glory to God. Those who say that they have no sin are essentially calling God a liar, and they do not know Him, and have not found the truth.
