But Are You Following Through on the Word God Gave You!Judges 13-15This is a reminder that God will give us a word. This is also a reminder that we must have an ear to hear. Even more importantly than an initial "I hear you God" or beginning to implement the word, is am I following through with it? In other words, am I giving place for God to continue to speak to me about this word with next steps. The initial word is just the beginning. I must be willing to wait on God for how I need to proceed. Sometimes, things have to transpire in our lives before we can see and glean what God is trying to tell us. Sometimes, he just wants us to watch so we know what we are dealing with which will tell how we should be responding. When we are not willing to wait, we align ourselves with the enemy and still try to do God's work. This is counter productive.

The Cost of Speaking too Soon!Judges 11-12This is a reminder of the story of a man named Jephthah. Jephthah was an Israelite. He was the son of Gilead, but his mother was a harlot. He was a mighty man of valour. Gilead's wife had sons as well. When Gilead's wife sons grew up, they cast Jephthah out of his father's house. Jephthah became a bandit in a place called Tob. When the people of Ammon began to war with the Israelites, the elders of Israel came to Tob, and asked Jephthah if he would lead them in fighting the war against Ammon. He eventually agreed as long as he would be the ruler of the Israelites after the victory. Jephthah prayed to God and won the victory over the Ammonites. Jephthah was so glad that he vowed to the Lord that the first person who came out of his door when he returned home would be dedicated to God or offered as a burnt offering if it ws cattle. when he got home, his one and only child came out dancing and playing the timbrels. He was saddened. This meant his only daughter would be given in service to God because of the vow he made to God. The daughter said it was okay since God gave him the victory. She asked for 2 months to bewail her virginity with friends. And so she did. Jephthah did what many of us do with God. He made a vow to God when he did not need to. We often think that we need to make a vow with God to get our prayers answered. This is not so. God will answer out prayers. We do not need to barter, promise, or make vows for God to answer our prayers. But, if we do make a vow, God will require it of us. Thinking before we try to make a deal with God is wise. It can cost too much when we do not.

What You Don't Want to Hear From God! Judges 10This is a reminder that even favor can run out when we continuously take it for granted. When we keep doing the same things and expect God to keep rescuing us when we get in trouble, it is just a matter of time until the favor runs out. God tells the Israelites to let their gods deliver them out of their tribulations. Back then and now, we have many gods such as people, money, and drugs, to name a few. Anything we put before God is our god. God wants us to default to him, not the mini gods that we go to first. We often go to God last when everything else has failed us. What happens when God himself says "not this time."

So You Know It's God!Judges 7-9This is a reminder that it is God that causes us to triumph in war and in life's battles. We see Gideon using God's strategy to overcome the Midianites. We often think that it is us when it is God working things out for us in the background. Often. we take credit for things we should be giving God the glory for. It is God that has gifted us and given us unique skillsets. God told Gideon that he had too many men. He had 32,000 men ready to do battle. God ended up sending all but 300 back home. God did not want them to think they prevailed because of the number of men. God wanted them to see his power at work.

Talking to God and Still Can't Hear!Judges 4-6This is a reminder to stop for a minute and actually listen and hear what God is saying to us. This is a look at how Gideon was introduced in the Bible, and his journey to calling himself what God called him, and realizing that when God says he will use you to do something, it is a done deal. 

It Depends On Who You Ask?Judges 1-3This is a reminder that man thinking is very different than God's thinking. What is evil in the sight of God may be fine in the sight of man. When we pray to God for deliverance, we often think that we are fine when our prayers are answered and we have been delivered. This is man's thinking. God's thinking according to the word is that deliverance is only the beginning. Once we have been delivered, we are on a journey to allow God to change our life. We miss this part and spend our lives in a cycle of answered prayers, and deliverance without ever changing. We would not need so much deliverance if we listened to God. The Israelites learned the hard way. 

Not Again!Joshua 22-24 Season FinaleThis is a reminder to remember what has transpired with us and God in the past. Our experiencecan teach us to revere God and honor what he says so we cam avoid the consequences of disobedience. The 9 and a half tribes were ready to fight against the 2 and a half tribes because they were oreparing to do something outside of what God had told them and ordained for them to do in offerings. Israel did not want God to blame them for what the 2 and a half tribe was preparing to do. They called them on their mistake and the 2 and a half tribe repented and halted their plans. God exoects us as people of God to call people of God on their errors and ask them to repent. We should be glad if someone calls us on a wrong and repent immediately so we donot offend God.

Is It Your Promise?Joshua 19-21This is a reminder that not only does God make promises, but that he keeps them. He is a promise-keeper. We are disappointed in God when we try to claim a promise that God made to someone else. Some promises in the Bible are to everyone. Some are to individuals and are not for anyone else. We must be careful not to try to transfer the blessings or oromises of others onto ourselves. The only way we can do this is if God tells us that is is fir us as well. The promised land was to Abraham and his seed. It was not realized until the 4 th generation. Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob never saw the promise, but they believed God that it would come to pass even if it was not in their lifetime. God wants a personal relationship with us so he can tell us what our personal promised land is. When we know what our personal promised land is, we can do our part as God blesses what he promised.

Joshua 16-18Be Very Careful!This is a reminder that we can lose because of our disobedience to God. When God says do not make a league with someone, it is for our own good. It will be like a thorn in our side or a snare to us. We often compromise by making excuses for why we compromise or settle for less than God's best. We end up looking like the world more than God. It is hard to get out of the league we make with the devil. He will try to hold us to it. We should be very careful to ask God if we should make a league with anyone.

Joshua 13-15What is robbing you of the promises of God?This is a reminder of what it looks like to follow God fully and walk in faith. It parallells Caleb walking with God wholly to us walking by faith. Caleb chose faith when others chose to walk in what they saw. Walking by faith means believing in what God has said to the point where we operate, think, and speak based upon what God has said. 

Joshua 10-12This is a reminder that we can end up fighting our enemies' battle if we do not seek God's counsel. We often forget to seek God on what we consider the smaller things. It is wise to seek God on a daily basis as we make decisions in our lives. We can be tricked by outer appearances. We cannot see a person's heart or agenda, but God can.

Joshua 7-9This is a reminder that we should never break covenant with God by doing something he commanded us not to do. If God says for us not to touch something or do something, then that thing is an accursed thing for us. Many times we miss out on our healing, lose battles, or cannot be in true relationship with God because we underestimate the enemy from within. We must be careful who we allow in our inner circle. What they do does impact us. The story of Achan and how he caused the children of  Israel to lose reminds us that people sometimes do things that we are not aware of that can impact us tremendously. Likewise we must be careful not to touch what is accursed for us ithat God forbad us to touch, take or be around. 

Joshua 4-6Allowing God to Shake Your Tree!This is a reminder that God wants to take us to our next season or iur personal promised land. God has to shake our tree to get the fruit that is ready to fall off. When it is time, the fruit will come off easy. Sometimes, God is trying to get us to let go of last years apples to make way for the new apples that will grow the next year. God builds our faith first so that when we see a bare tree, we do not panic. We have learned to trust him so we give time for the new apples to grow each year. We let them go when it is time to let them go. This could mean friends, social groups, churches, jobs, soul ties, or anything that blocks our progress toward where God is trying to take us. Let God shake our tree so we can move forward in faith.

Joshua 1-3Rehab, The Harlot, Saves The Day!This is areminder to take any opportunity to bless the people of God who are operating within God's will. Rehab, The harlot was able to save her whole family because she took advantage of an opportunity to bless the Israelites who were spieing out the land.

Deuteronomy 31-34Winning In The LordThis is a reminder that God goes before us in our battles so we do not have to be afraid. We can be strong, and courageous. When God tells us that he will give us the win, all we need to do is trust him in what he is saying. We can always trust God for what he says. He will never fail us or forsake us. The oroblem is when we believe God for what we want instead of what he says.

Deuteronomy 28-30How God Sets us Up for Success!This is a reminder that God sets us up for success by giving us the Blessings of obedience and the curses of disobedience. As covenant people, people born of the spirit of God, we give our life to God. Our life is not our own. We chose this as covenant people. These thngs happen to covenant people because we are in him. When we are not in God, then we are not accountable to him. We get the chance to choose to be born again or to stay in the world. We have to make the choice. When we say we are God's and we are disobedient, we bring the curses on ourselves. The unsaved don't say they are God's so God doesnt hold them to it. God gaves them chance after chance to obey just like he gives us chance after chance to obey. 

Deuteronomy 25-27 Going Too FarToday's Focus: Deuteronomy 25:2-3This is a reminder that as human beings we often take things too far to the hurt of others and even ourselves. This scripture reminds us the value of correction. The method may not be likeable, but it is necessary for us to be corrected when we do things that are wicked, against the law, or just in disobedience to our parents as children. Sometimes, when we are in a position of authority like policemen, parents, bosses, or even teachers, we can go too far: beyond the call of our authority. When we do this, we risk hurting others and being seen as foolish.

Deuteronomy 22-24This is a reminder that the new covenant is specifically for us in today's time. The old covenant is specific to the Israelites in that time period. As with any will, the new will replaced the old will. The old testament is the old will while the new testament is the new will. The old testament teaches us about human nature, and has many principles we can use in daily life. We do not follow the old testament laws and practices because they were specific to that time period.

Deuteronomy 19-21This a reminder that we need to be prepared for battle in the natural and the spiritual. We should take care of the things in our lives before battle peradvanture we die in war. God gives us strategy in the natural and spiritual so we rely on him and not our weapons of warfare. God does not want us to be faint-hearted so we should build our Faith in God before the battle so we do not discouage others. 

Deuteronomy16-18This is a reminder that we need to be careful about telling people that God is speaking to us when we are being presumptuods. God is not a liar. Focus on why you thought God spoke to you when he didnt. Learn how ro hear the voice  of  God throughthe holy spirit and comfirming a word from God with the Word of God.

Deuteronomy 13-15This is a reminder that we do not have the luxury of looking like world. We must strive as people of God to look like him. We can miss out on ministry opportunities when we do what the world is doing. People willl not respect us as people of God if they see us being worldly just like we are. We must strive to be holy like God is holy. We represent him. Whatever reputation we have, God has.

Deuteronomy 10-12This is a reminder that God rehearses history in the old testament so the people of God could ultimately see that they are repeating the same cycle in their relationship with him. Today the church leaders, like Moses, have fallen prey to a cycle where they are more worried about people obeying God than they are about being obedient to God. The church and those on the christian journey are more worried about saving people than sharing the gospel. In these cases, we are to do things God's way. Obey God. That is the sum of our calling. We cannot make others do anything. That has never been our calling. We must stay out of God's business. We must break the cycles of thinking that we are not successful because people don't live saved or we can't save them. Both of these are God's job, not our job. We can stop this by looking at our personal history with God and asking God to reveal the spiritual cycles in our lives that we need to break. Then we need to ask him to help us break the cycle.

Deuteronomy 7-9This is a reminder that we need to be real. God is our only righteosness. It is not us. We often take credit for what God is doing in our lives. God was a promise keeper in the old testament and he is a promise keeper in the new testament. God blesses us because of who he is, not because of who we are. God will always do what he said he would regardless of what we do.

Deuteronomy 4-6This is a reminder that God knows us better than we know ourselves. God does not make rules haphazardly. There is always something more profound behind every rule, every commandment. The commandments help us to live saved and walk by faith and not by sight. It is a spiritual thing.

Deuteronomy 1-3This is a reminder that our decisions and our faith walk should not be based on fears, especially fears of man. Fears of th size of person, a company, or even a problem are just distractions to throw us off of making the right decision, judging things fairly, or being obedient to God. The same holds true for our financial deficits or our position in the face of trials. Nothing or no one is bigger than God. We must learn to walk in his word not the fear from looking at our circumstances. We are also reminded that the set up in businesses started from the structure God gavw moses in bublical times. The bible is a true history book.

Numbers 34-36This a reminder that God really does know better. When God has designated something particularly for you, you should walk in that. If you choose something because it looks good and seems to have everything you need, you may be setting yourself up for disaster. The tribes of Gad, Reuben and half of Manasseh chose a land different than what God had prepared for them. God's promise land meant fighting to clear the people slready in the land. When we fight for ours, we learn lessons we would not have learned. We become the best version of ourselves. We have a different mindset once we have endured. and fought for our victory. Trusting God's plan allows us to walk in victory and thrive in life. God may allow us to do what we choose, we need to be prepared for the consequences of our own choices.

Numbers 31-33This is a reminder of how God protects the children of God and avenges those who come against or cause the children of God to sin, to commit idolatry or sexual immorality. Be careful not to be the one who introduces people to doing some unrighteousness. God will take revenge on you. Even if not today, but God will eventually take revenge. God told the people of God to destoy them in war.

This is a reminder that we must be willing to be in the background before we are in the foreground as a leader. We must be willing to learn and grow so that we are ready when our time of appointment from God comes. This is the example that Joshua showed us.

Numbers 25-27This is a reminder of the costs of our actions not matching our talk. The talk of a saved person will sync with the actions of a saved person if we believe what we are saying. The ultimate test of our belief is what we do, not what we say. Christians should remember that we should not do the same things that the world does. we have to make a choice. It is ours to make. It is also ours to deal with what happens as a result of our choices.

Numbers 22-24This is a reminder to not entertain the plan of the enemy. We must be for God or the enemy. There is no middle ground. Balaam was a prophet of God which also dabbled in the things of the world. He was known for blessing people, but he was also known for cursing people. He was called to curse God's people. If it had not been for God, Balaam would have done it for hire. God intervened and Balaam ended up blessing the people of God 3 times. An ass had to save Balaam's life when an angel of death was going to kill him. The donkey dashed Balaam's feet against the wall to save him. The donkey spoke when Balaam struck him 3 times. Likewise, God has to hurt us or allow hurt in order to save our lives. When God opened Balaam's eyes he saw the angel of death and fell on his face and repented.

Numbers 19-21This is a reminder that we are in good company when we let anger get the best of us. Moses and Aaron learned the hard way, that the impact of a bad witness can cost you more than you want it to cost you. Try and find ways to recognize when you have reached your limit and when you need to pursue self- care. Be angry but sin not. We are God's vessels so what we show to others is what they think God is about. Let's represent God well.

Numbers 16-18This is a reminder that complaining about the people of God, and what he has appointed, and annointed can be fatal. The Korah was a son of Levi, but he and 250 of his tribe murmured against Moses and Aaron and the position they were in. They said that they were all holy so why has Moses put himself over them. The refused to go up with Moses to tje door of the tabernacle and offer . Moses finally got them to go up and offer, but Moses asked God not to accept their offer. God ended up opening up the ground and swallowing their whole family, the 250, their wives and children into the ground and closing it up ovet them whilevthey were alive. The got afraid that it would happennto them but they complained again and 14,700 of the people of Israel were killed by a plague of God that Aaron stopped by offering to God. God finally showed them through Aaron's rod budding who he had chosen.

Numbers 13-15This is a reminder that their is no short-cut to believing. We take a journey with the Israelites as they spy out the land God promised them. The rulers who went to spy out the land was divided in what they saw. Some could not see because they did not believe God. These men brought back an evil report. Caleb believed God so he saw that they could take the land under God. He and Joshua brought a good report. The people who brought the evil report were penalized and would never see the promised land. The rulers who brought the good report were able to see the promised land. All God does for is is so he can be our God and the Lord of our lives. 

Numbers 10-12This is a reminder that we should not be so quick to complain about what God has blessed is with. Lusting after things of the world or being jealous is an indication that you may not be engaging in a daily walk with God where you can hear him regularly and talk to him as your spiritual husband. The impact of making what God has done of no effect on your level of thanksgiving can cause you more than you are willing to pay.

Numbers 7-9This is a reminder that just like there was a priestly tribe in the old testament called the levites, we are a royal priesthood once we are saved by grace through faith. They were designated by God in the old testament, and we are designated by God in the new testament. We are the temple of God. We must guard our physical home and our physical bodies against the schemes of the devil. 

Numbers 4-6This is a reminder that the Nazarite Vow carries with it a strong meaning to help us to live in accordance with God's standards and give us discernment in our eveyday life. It is advantageous to us to learn how to watch the grapes in our lives that can be devastating when they turn into wine. Our attendance to our inside is even more important than our attendance to our outward appearance. God wants to show us through his Holy Spirit how to be filled with his spirit instead of other spirits that contend with the presence of God in us. 

This is a reminder that God always knows what he is doing even when it seems senseless to our human mind. God is A true promisekeeper and is always fulfilling his will. Tjis can be seen in the way the tabernacle was set up in the old testament. This is a reminder to be as fair with God as he is with us. God lays out the rules, expectations and laws very clearly. He also lays out the consequences to certain laws. God does this so we can be held accountable for our actions. We know when we are not doing right so we are without excuse. I we say we love God then why do we disregard him on a daily basis.

This is a reminder that loving God conquers all of the fears of doing the right things or making the wrong mistake. Loving God means doing things from our hearts that please him. We think differently, operate differently and love people differently. We follow his laws because they are a part of who we are. God's commandments are not grievous, they become natural for us eventually. This is what loving God is all about.

This is a reminder that God has a wird for us on a daily basis. We cannot live triumphantly on a word from yesterday. The word changed depending on the time, season, or circumstances. We must seek Hod daily for his word in every situation. What worked yesterday may not work today. Stay relevant in today's time for a timely word for this season in your life.

This is a reminder that we need to prepare before the emergency. In the emergency, we are in panic mode and we are just reactive, not thinking straight. Before the emergency, we can take our time to be proactive and plan with research and a calm demeanor. Life happens to the rich and poor alike. It is not a question of if, but a question of when things will happen. Be ready for the second coming of Jesus Christ and the next emergency in your life. Don't be caught off guard like we were with COVID.

This is a reminder that we really do not have to do anything in God. It is a willful act to enter into covenant with the Lord. Abihu and Nadab, Aaron's sons, lost their lived when they could have just been honest from the start instead of playing with God. Be honest with yourself. God sees and knows everything, nothing is hidden from him.

This is a reminder that we can dedicate our service in the Lord to God. We do not want to be high minded and focus on ourselves once God has called us and qualified us to do a work in him. Aaron and his sons were inaugurated as the priestly tribe because God did this as a gift to Aaron. Aaron and his sons had to consecrate at the door of the tabernacle for 7 days. They had to be ready for the task before them. God can choose to call and qualify whoever he chooses. We can be encouraged that our past mistakes will not disqualify us when God qualifies us.

This is a reminder of the impact of the words we say to people and the impact of what we often do to people. Our words and actions have power. How we treat or intreat a person makes a huge difference. People may not read the bible, but they read us as people of God. It is really God's reputation that we are ruining when do wrong to people or treat people wrong. We must be willing to make amends for the wrong we do to people whether we meant it or not. It is our responsibility to represent God properly.

This is a reminder that the process God took them through as they stood at the door of the tabernacle in the old testament was strategic and with purpose. We see it play out in the new testament with Jesus moving us past the door into fellowship with God. Jesus reconciled us to God allowing us to offer praise, worship, thanksgiving and prayer as we enter into the church, his tabernacle, or his presence. Jesus moved us past the door.

This is the season finale of Exodus. This is a brief reminder of the model for success that God utilized in Exodus. Going through this process helps us to get to our ultimate goal polished and blessed throughout the process. There is no get rich quick scheme in the Lord. Though AI can do it for you, it is better for you to go through the process yourself so you don't have to rely on AI, or microwaving through life. God's way gives you a process that will ultimately give you the success in the Lord you desire.

This is a reminder of the offerings in the old testament as opposed to the new testament. A correlation is drawn between what offerings look like in the old as opposed to the new testament. Offerings are relational and they are about our communion with God. The church has made it about money when that is not what it is about. The sacrifice God made cost him everything, his only begotten son. In David's words, how is it that I would offer something to God that cost me nothing?

This is a reminder that we must know and understand God's system and the world's system in order to operate at our peak with what God has put inside of us as abilities, talents, and skill sets. All we have to do is do it by being open to training, and learning so we can do what God intended our talents for.

This is a brief reminder of the tabernacle, the Holy place, the Vail, and the Holy of Holies within the tabernacle. This tells about the bells and pomegranates on the hem of the high priests garments and why they were placed there. This monologue breaks down the vail in the old testament and how it relates to the work Jesus Christ did on the cross.
