You're Still a Princess — A Kingdom Parable About Identity | Kingdom Offerings

Can you lose your identity as a child of the King? A princess dresses in rags, eats spoiled food, and wanders beyond the castle walls — but is she still royalty? Dave Scherrer tells an original Kingdom parable that asks one question three times, and the answer changes everything. In this episode, Dave introduces Princess Lauriana — the only daughter of the King of kings. Her curiosity leads her from the castle basement to the kitchen scraps to life outside the walls among thieves. At every step, Dave pauses to ask: "Is she still a princess?" The answer is always yes. Because identity isn't determined by behavior — it's determined by birth. And the King never stops watching for His daughter to come home.=== CHAPTERS ===0:00 Introduction — The King of Kings0:45 The Castle and the Kingdom1:30 Meet Princess Lauriana2:15 The Basement Discovery — Dressed in Rags3:15 First Question: Is She Still a Princess?4:00 The Kitchen — Eating Spoiled Food5:00 Second Question: Is She Still a Princess?5:30 The Tunnel — Beyond the Walls6:15 Third Question: Is She Still a Princess?6:45 The King Watches for Her Return7:15 The Kingdom of God Is Like This=== CONNECT WITH US ===Website: https://100foldministries.orgSubscribe to the Newsletter: https://100foldministries.org/subscribeEmail Dave: [email protected]=== SCRIPTURE REFERENCES ===Luke 15:20 — The father watching for his prodigal son1 John 3:1 — See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of GodRomans 8:38-39 — Nothing can separate us from the love of GodGalatians 4:6-7 — You are no longer a slave, but God's child and heirEphesians 1:5 — He predestined us for adoption to sonship2 Timothy 2:13 — If we are faithless, He remains faithful=== ABOUT THIS PODCAST ===Kingdom Offerings is the podcast of 100 Fold Ministries, where Dave Scherrer unpacks the offerings of Scripture with a special emphasis on the Gospel of the Kingdom. Disease, Demons, Death — Nothing Is Outside Jesus' Authority | Matthew 8 & 9

Disease. Nature. Demons. Sin. Death. Despair. In just two chapters of Matthew, Jesus demonstrates His absolute authority over every single one of them. The Greek words are Ta Panta — "The All" — and they describe the total, unqualified sovereignty of Jesus over all things. In this episode, Dave Scherrer takes you on a rapid-fire survey through Matthew 8 and 9 to make one unmistakable point: Jesus has proven authority over the entirety of the human condition. But here's the part most people miss — the point isn't that Jesus can make all the bad things go away. The leper probably got sick again. The little girl eventually died. The real point is that nothing can hinder God's plan to populate His Kingdom with redeemed, free-willed citizens who worship the King forever. That is a hope worth dying for — and a hope worth living for.=== CHAPTERS ===0:00 Introduction — Ta Panta1:00 Authority Over Disease (Matt 8:2-3)2:15 Authority Over Nature (Matt 8:24-27)3:30 Authority Over Demons (Matt 8:28-32)4:45 Authority Over Sin (Matt 9:1-8)6:00 Authority Over Death (Matt 9:18-26)7:00 Authority Over Despair (Matt 9:20-22)8:15 The Point Most People Miss10:00 A Hope Worth Living For11:15 Closing — Kingdom Offerings=== CONNECT WITH US ===Website: https://100foldministries.orgSubscribe to the Newsletter: https://100foldministries.org/subscribeEmail Dave: [email protected]=== SCRIPTURE REFERENCES ===Matthew 8:2-3 — Jesus heals a man with leprosyMatthew 8:24-27 — Jesus calms the stormMatthew 8:28-32 — Jesus drives out demons (Gadarenes)Matthew 9:1-8 — Jesus forgives and heals a paralyzed manMatthew 9:18-26 — Jesus raises a synagogue leader's daughterMatthew 9:20-22 — Jesus heals the woman with bleeding=== ABOUT THIS PODCAST ===Kingdom Offerings is the podcast of 100 Fold Ministries, where Dave Scherrer unpacks the offerings of Scripture with a special emphasis on the Gospel of the Kingdom. Two Blind Men Saw What the Crowd Could Not — Matthew 20 Unpacked

Two blind men sitting by the road shouted something the crowd didn't want to hear: "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!" The crowd told them to shut up. Jesus stopped and asked them a question that changes everything: "What do you want me to do for you?"In this episode of the "Jesus the Mystery" series, Dave Scherrer unpacks Matthew 20:29-34 and reveals what's really happening beneath the surface of this healing story. These blind men could see what the crowd could not — that Jesus was the Messiah King. And when Jesus healed their eyes, He answered their deeper need too. They received their sight and followed Him. A covenant fulfilled. A Rich Man Asked Jesus How to Be Saved — The Answer Shocked Everyone

A wealthy young man walked up to Jesus and asked the ultimate question: "What must I do to get eternal life?" Jesus' answer left everyone stunned — including the disciples. It wasn't about keeping the rules. It was about who sits on the throne of your life.In this episode of the "Jesus the Mystery" series, Dave Scherrer unpacks Matthew 19:16-30 — the story of the rich young ruler. Jesus takes a passing conversation and turns it into an eternal life lesson about wealth, salvation, and the upside-down order of the Kingdom. The world says rich equals blessed. Jesus says the first will be last. And then He drops this: "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."=== CHAPTERS ===0:00 Introduction — The Mystery Continues0:45 Jesus Turns Conversations Into Classrooms1:30 The Rich Man's Question3:00 "Only God Is Good" — What Jesus Really Meant4:30 Sell Everything and Follow Me6:00 Why This Is Still Hard Today7:15 A Camel Through a Needle's Eye8:30 With God All Things Are Possible9:45 The First Will Be Last10:30 Closing — Peace=== CONNECT WITH US ===Website: https://100foldministries.orgSubscribe to the Newsletter: https://100foldministries.org/subscribeEmail Dave: [email protected]=== SCRIPTURE REFERENCES ===Matthew 19:16-30 — The Rich Young RulerMatthew 19:26 — "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible"=== ABOUT THIS PODCAST ===Kingdom Offerings is the podcast of 100 Fold Ministries, where Dave Scherrer unpacks the offerings of Scripture with a special emphasis on the Gospel of the Kingdom. Jesus the Mystery: Who Is the Greatest? (Matthew 18)

The disciples wanted to know who would hold the most power in Jesus' Kingdom. His answer? He called over a child and placed them right in the middle of the argument. In this episode, Dave Scherrer continues the "Jesus the Mystery" series by unpacking Matthew 18:1-5 — where Jesus completely redefines greatness. The Kingdom doesn't run on ambition and position. It runs on humility and sacrifice. And that question still falls on us today. Part of the Kingdom Offerings podcast from 100 Fold Ministries.Visit us at https://100foldministries.org

Jesus the Mystery: The Real Story of Zacchaeus (Luke 19)

Jesus walked past the religious crowd and invited himself to dinner with the most hated man in Jericho. In this episode, Dave Scherrer unpacks Luke 19:1-10 — the familiar story of Zacchaeus — and reveals what most people miss. Why did Jesus break every expectation of a first-century Rabbi? What did He see in a tax-collecting traitor that nobody else could? And what does this mean for us today? This episode is part of the "Jesus the Mystery" series, exploring the moments where Jesus messes with our priorities and paradigms. Treasures in Heaven (Part II)

Our acts of kindness, done in the name of Jesus, with the purpose of serving and blessing others also serve to lay aside treasures in heaven that glorify and exalt our King. This constitutes the kingdom coming on earth as it is in heaven - we become the answer to the Lord’s prayer.

  10. 65

    Treasures in Heaven (Part I)

God's economy of spiritual profit, which He's interested in, is not based on anything that has a worldly value associated with it.

  11. 64

    Fasting (Part III)

God desires a fast that breaks the chains of wickedness and oppression, not one that is merely a ritualistic display of piety.

  12. 63

    Fasting (Part II)

Fasting as a kingdom discipline is not about our physical health, but about our spiritual health.

  13. 62

    Fasting (Part I)

Fasting is for the purpose of listening to and seeking the Lord without distraction.

  14. 61

    Forgiveness (Part III)

Forgiveness is God's gift to us to release us from the control of someone who has hurt us.

  15. 60

    Forgiveness (Part 2)

Our inclination, if we get there, to generously forgive, is a direct response to our gratitude for having been so lavishly forgiven by God ourselves.

  16. 59

    Forgiveness (Part I)

Are there some things that I can do to prepare myself on a day-to-day basis in order to live a life that better honors and glorifies King Jesus?

  17. 58

    Only One Story

If you had only one story from the Bible to share with someone what would that story be?

  18. 57
  19. 56

The Rich Man and His Daughter

He was the richest man known in all the land. Yet Joseph considered himself to be poor because the one thing he wanted in the entire world, he did not have. He desperately wanted a child.

  20. 55

    Prayer (Part 2)

There are no small prayers, no unheard prayers, no misunderstood prayers. They're forever present before the Father. You may have forgotten them, but the Father has not.

  21. 54

    Prayer

I know from personal experience, moments in my past that are freeze-framed in my mind and heart, that my times of concerted prayer are priceless.

  22. 53

    Contentedness

Pursue contentedness as a discipline and walk deep into the Kingdom of God with a much lighter load on your shoulders.

  23. 52

    Generosity

Jesus assumes that Kingdom citizens are giving people. It's just assumed. He says, "when" you give, not "if" you give.

  24. 51

    Repent and Believe

Repentance is not merely an emotional response, but a decisive turning point in one's life. It is a call to abandon former ways and embrace a new life in Christ.

  25. 50

    Kingdom Disciplines

Without the practice of these disciplines, we risk losing sight of our hope and joy in Christ. The world is just so addictive and demanding, it draws us back.

  26. 49

    Truth and Lies

Living in a world of lies, truths seem elusive, and we quit believing in the very source of truth and love itself.

  27. 48

    Thirst

God has His hand outstretched with a cold mug full of life.

  28. 47

The Six City Fair (Part 2)

If you drink from my water, you will discover that my Father is always inviting more from you, but that you will always have enough.

  29. 46

The Six City Fair (Part 1)

The two water bringers were very mysterious, and both brought water to the dying people.

  30. 45

    Childbirth and the Kingdom

How is childbirth like the advent, the beginning, the establishment of the Kingdom of God?

  31. 44

    When More is Overwhelming

The sufficiency of Christ is for our moments, even the moments where we cannot take any more.

  32. 43

    When More Is Less

What happens when you have more of the world than you need?

  33. 42

    The Cost of More

    Everything comes with a cost.

  34. 41

    A Parable on More

Are you wanting more, but settling for less?

  35. 40

    Abiding in Christ

After enjoying a last supper with his disciples, Jesus told a story about a True Vine, hoping to give the disciples one last vitally important lesson on Kingdom Living.

  36. 39

    Spiritual Power

The true power of God isn't called up from loud music or entertaining sermons. It is present in us as a gift of God in the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit.

  37. 38

    A Treasure of Surpassing Value

Rather than seeing us as divided and different, the God of creation sees us as image bearers.

  38. 37

    The Vase (Part II)

Have you had this strange sense that there is something missing in this world?

  39. 36

    The Vase

It seems that sometimes a story is the best hope to make the eternal come alive.

  40. 35

    Of Restaurants and Churches

The bride of Christ is the Church Eternal. Nothing can or will stand in the way of the divinely-called church of Jesus Christ.

  41. 34

    Kingdoms in Conflict

The Kingdom of God needs to be undiluted from the values of this world.

  42. 33

    Unity or Separation?

We must look at the culture through the lens of the eternal scriptures, and not look at the scriptures through today's lens of a passing culture.

  43. 32

    Columbine

    We won't forget.

  44. 31

    Lingering Over Easter

We see ironies abound when we linger over Holy Week.

    The Time of His Visitation

The story with the story of Holy Week and what it means to us today.

  46. 29

    Politics and Kingdom

Our loyalty to Jesus and His Kingdom must always exceed our loyalty to an Earthly agenda.

  47. 28

    Kingdom Encounters

Every conversation has the potential to be a Kingdom encounter.

  48. 27
