    Why Worship?

Coming up on my church's Worship Night this Friday, I discuss the importance and value of worship a a believer and as a group of believer's.The Midwest is a melting pot of Christian tradition and denominationalism. So many of us are accustomed to worship looking one way or another and anything unfamiliar to our familiar way seems weird or even- to some- dangerous or somehow offensive to God.What if worship is something more than you're aware of? What if it isn't limited to your understanding or tradition, but that your understanding or your tradition may be limiting your opportunity to interact with God?What if?Join us at Jordan Creek Church in Solon, Iowa this Friday, June 27th at 7pm for a night of worship and prayer as we seek and honor Jesus together in thanksgiving and praise.

    The Backstory of Pain

Join me this episode as I share the backstory of my new single, "Pain"- releasing 4/11/2025.All human beings are born into a world that they will experience pain in some form- physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual, etc. It is a common condition we can all relate to, we are all familiar with. I wrote and arranged this song as a unifying touchpoint for all of us- no matter what you believe or don't. Pain- while it can bring us to the end of ourselves- often becomes the doorway and entry point for Jesus.Check out all music platforms to follow ME- Lyndsie Schnoor- and listen to Pain 4/11/25

Such a Time as This: Which Way Do I Go?

Have you ever asked God for wisdom or direction in your life? I wonder how many of us have asked for confirmation to go to "the right or the left" (Isaiah 30:21); but we asked before we got to the intersection that God was waiting to direct us at. These past few months of my life, I've learned to keep moving forward until I reach those specific intersections that God is already at- ready and waiting to direct me. I've found that I desire an intersection to occur when it's convenient and makes sense with my trajectory that I have planned- but if I'm willing to keep moving forward, He is faithful to stop me and show me the way WHEN the timing is right. This is my Trust Fall season- anyone else? You want to make forward progress, but in actuality God desires you to fall back into His capable, wise arms. Maybe it's time to proceed until God brings you to the intersection. Maybe doing exactly what you're doing is what God wants right now because HE is lining things up you're not aware of. Maybe strengthening some areas in your life is necessary BEFORE the intersection. Awakening Creativity Conference LINK The Power of Music Intensive with ME! LINK

Such a Time As This: The Local Church

The local church is not an obligation nor a place meant to appease you. It is an opportunity to serve a family because God grafted you into His. -Lyndsie Schnoor In this present time, we are watching the Lord sift and shift through our culture. We have watched more than handful of prominent leaders step down or be ushered out of their positions (both secular and sacred). I have watched this happen over the last few years at the state and community levels as well. God is building a firm foundation for the Church to have the capacity to sustain the move that is going to take place. Jesus, Himself, instituted offices to assist in the structure that would allow us to mature well. Ephesians 4:11-16 Many believers will say that the Church is not relegated to the houses of worship that many of us serve- I don't disagree. What I do challenge these with is to explain God's plan and desire to equip that Church outside of community that is laid out by Jesus. These communities and families of worship amongst His greater plan for the Big "C" Church exist to equip, empower, encourage, edify and exhort believers within the healthy context and infrastructure of relationship. How will you grow, be held responsible, be corrected or learn to live alongside those you don't always agree with outside of intentional community? You won't. I think that we should be asking ourselves why we "go" to church? I think it's time for some hard conversations, some soul searching moments on all of our behalves and a time for the local church to become the families that God intended them to be to raise mature believers amongst themselves. THAT is how the CHURCH- the Victorious Bride will be realized. Healthy families create healthy communities and healthy communities change culture. First the natural, then the spiritual 1 Corinthians 15:46. So, believer, why are you at your church- to serve or to be served?

  6. 47

    Such a Time as This

Esther 4:14 Have you considered the intentionality and purpose to YOU being on this Earth specifically at THIS time? Our world needs a light switch right now. I've never been more excited and in need of wisdom for what it is to be that "light" right now- #amiright? The world connects Christianity with a hell or heaven philosophy- not a HERE AND NOW. Yet- the Christian life is not a solution after death, but an empowered lifestyle NOW that displays God through the power of His Spirit; drawing His people to His son in order that they may know Him.....and YOU have a part to play in this scene of history exactly where you are RIGHT NOW. Are you in Iowa?? Join me at the Empowered Conference hosted by LifeChurch to be equipped and activated in your identity in Jesus this October!

If You Don't Do the Work- You Won't Value the Cost

Being in hard circumstances- even when they last for what seems forever- may not always be an indicator of you doing something wrong; or even inefficiently. If God is always reworking the outcomes of all of the world's decisions ultimately for His good and your good (Romans 8:28)...There just may be some patience involved on our end if we come to that "good" awareness before the rest of the world around us. What if your hard circumstances are shaping you to be exactly who you need to be for the next step? What if these current times are to reveal the places in your heart that need to be in pursuit of God rather than pursuit of your own desires? It's been a few weeks- again- and I am so interested to put this in your headspace as we challenge ourselves to have a Kingdom perspective on what God is up to right now. **There is one segment that I suggest that not all of us be concerned with 'spiritual warfare'. I want to clarify that we all move in the fullness of God, but that some of us may operate with a greater degree of favor and grace in this area** Scripture referenced: Hosea and specifically Hosea 4:6, Hosea 4:12, Matthew 26:69-74, John 21:15-19, John 17:3, Revelation 1:6

Taking a Break and Developing Capacity

Debriefing after the last few weeks following the Dream Conference. What does it look like to recover from seasons of accomplishment? Perhaps taking the perspective that the physical, emotional and spiritual responses from these points do not necessarily point to fatigue, but to points of increased capacity is helpful as we continue our pursuit of Jesus in the areas we have been designed to demonstrate Him best... Maybe your place of tiredness doesn't require rest, it requires pushing through... Maybe God is building your capacity so that you are prepared for what is to come. Maybe.

    Why Do We Sleep?

Dream Conference 2024 Tickets Here! Let's take it even one more step back... We've started to talk about the conversations surrounding Why we dream, but let's introduce the question Why do we sleep? I would propose that many of the answers and unveiling of the mysteries of dreams starts with the design of sleep. Why we do it, how it benefits us, what our organs and systems do during this activity, etc are all avenues that when taken; shed light on our pursuit of dreams. Dr. Matthew Walker, author of Why We Sleep lays an incredible scientific foundation through his study and examination of sleep over the decades. Taking a look at how we were designed to sleep from both a biblical and analytical perspective can shed light on some interesting ideas as well as suggest additional ideas pertaining to how God uses dreams to communicate. Pressing in and learning more about the activity of our brains makes this even more exciting! Check out Huberman Lab Podcast's latest 6-week special on Sleep with Dr. Matthew Walker for additional information and teaching!

Emotions and Feelings in and About Dreams

What do our emotions tell us in our dreams? Are bad feelings good indicators of bad sources and good feelings indicators of a good source when it comes to determining what "sponsor" your dream is from? I would like to suggest that while our feelings are great servants they are terrible masters. Our soul is affected by our experience and our process in life making our internal “filter” another part of us subject to sanctification. That said, what is the best way to approach our feelings when we take them into account interpreting dreams? Scripture referenced: Daniel 1:17, Daniel 2:1, Daniel 2:28, Daniel 4:5, Daniel 4:19, Daniel 4:27, Daniel 5:6, Daniel 7:1-2 (visions and dreams), Daniel 7:13, Daniel 7:15-16, Daniel 7:28, Daniel 8:27, Daniel 9:21 Go to Knowntobeknown.com for your tickets to the Dream Conference 2024 in Waterloo, Iowa! His dream of Jesus being presented to God is in Daniel 7:13. The vision in the daytime of the 'Son of Man' took place among others who were not able to see what Daniel saw in Daniel 10.**

    Dreaming With God

There are so many ways that God uses to communicate with us. One of the most fascinating being our dreams. If you have a history like me, the night terrified me due to my history with nightmares and night-terrors (Go listen to the Pilot Episode), but when I realized that the night belonged to God and that it was a special time for Him to speak with me; it changed my perspective and opened me up to pursue Him in dreams. I believe you were designed by the same Master Dreamer and invite you into the opportunity to learn your language with Jesus and open up a whole new line of communication with God! Perfection vs Process in Excellence

Embracing Process: Pursuing Excellence Over Perfection We are going to start a YouTube account- AHHH! But, hey, I guess some of you like to see who you're talking to! SO- look for details on that soon. In this episode, Lyndsie delves into the valuable lesson of prioritizing process over perfection, drawing from personal insights as a self-published author. The central theme revolves around the idea that striving for perfection does not always lead to the desired outcome, while embracing the process and aiming for excellence fosters growth and the ability to learn from mistakes. She contrasts a performance-based identity with one rooted in faith, emphasizing that the pursuit of excellence involves integrity and a willingness to continuously learn and improve. By examining conversational patterns, Lyndsie cautions against the pursuit of perfection and encourages personal growth throughout the process, emphasizing that the journey towards growth holds more value than the end result. Furthermore, the episode discusses the significance of stewarding influence and handling mistakes with integrity, using a current example in the media to illustrate the impact of these actions. Lyndsie advocates for a shift away from cancel culture and scrutinizing others, emphasizing the importance of personal reflection on limitations and growth in the pursuit of excellence. Ultimately, she aims to inspire individuals to embody a culture of personal growth and development, encouraging them to prioritize excellence over perfection and to embrace the journey towards growth, thus embodying kingdom culture.

    There Is More

This is taken from The Gathering in Arlington, Iowa; February 4, 2024. I had the privilege to speak at Pastor Rolland Waterman's recurring event that is aimed at pursuing the Kingdom and watching Jesus change lives. Bear with me on the audio- the message is very timely for now and works in perfect with our conversation regarding identity. I promise I will get better at cleaning up acoustics!! Be Blessed- THERE IS MORE!!!!

  19. 34

    Identity

Let's start a conversation on identity. What makes you- you? I'd like to suggest that all your qualities, gifts, desires, etc are not actually the factors that determine your identity; rather they are the "fruit" of where you have resourced your identity from. Our identity is found in the designer and demonstrated through the design. I believe that finding who we are and whose we are gives a foundation to the rest of the process. Furthermore, that truth provides grace for the process that you were already created for. Let's start a deep conversation, shall we?!

  20. 33

You should get what you deserve, right? Wrong.

We aren't owed anything. We aren't owed success- even if we work hard, We aren't owed influence- even if we have great ideas, We aren't owed justice- even if we're innocent. We don't have a transactional relationship with God and it's really, really important to remember that. Yes, all of the above situations should generally play out in a "what you put in you get out of" scenario, yet, the world isn't fair because it's not fully restored to Jesus yet. Why is this important? As we assess in this "half-time", I find it important to remember as we are working and moving towards the things God is leading us into; that we are owed nothing from what we've done thus far. God's plans and purposes do not rely on our work, it's the relationship that gives us the opportunity to co-labor to bring things into existence. Furthermore, the world around you should have zero influence to what God is inviting you into....He has your reputation as much as He has you. My Book: Known to Be Known Revealing God Through Your Relationship with Jesus is available for purchase on Amazon February 6th!!!

  21. 32

It’s time to get TOUGH *2024*

Welcome to a New Year! Are you excited? I am. I have some thoughts about what I think God is up to as we enter into 2024 that I want to encourage you with. I believe we are in a small frame of time going into the next months that are a sort of “half-time” preparation. We are being given an opportunity to look back over the last few years to assess, align and prepare to get back into the game as Victors. Being tough requires pushing through pain and doing the reps- it requires building muscle and learning from past hurts, mistakes and mishaps. I think the church has traded compassion with commiseration and we need to get back to the former. You can't get back into the game without a maturity that presses through pain....you need to get TOUGH. It's time to be intentional. It's time to have a routine and a rhythm. It's time to take what we learned in the last years and move forward in maturity and understanding. It's time to be strong and courageous... It’s time to get TOUGH. Are you ready?!

  22. 31

Enjoy or Endure- it's your choice

We have the choice to endure or enjoy this season. Choosing joy rather than putting up with certain aspects of Christmas can become one of the greatest opportunities in our lives to experience and know God at a deeper level. It's not always a profound, grand moment...sometimes, it's the realization of being INjoy that we actually receive a greater revelation of Jesus and who He is in our individual lives. Maybe this Christmas, those people or traditions or gatherings that you've put a smile on and gone through the motions will become some of your greatest treasures from this year on.... Maybe.

  23. 30

    You are Youer than You

Do you have any idea how cool you really are??? Let's talk about the uniqueness of your life.

  24. 29

    Holy Forever

An eternal perspective on the birth of Jesus. As we prepare for Christmas this year, I want to introduce looking at the preparation for the birth of Jesus from the perspective of His glory and being never changing- didn't begin at the manger, it was revealed at the manger in part and revealed later to John in Revelation in fullness. What does this mean for us, now? We are new creations in Christ in our timeline, so what does Christmas mean for us now? Scripture Discussed: Luke 2 Matthew 2:11 (Strong's 4098 piptó) Revelation 1:17 Revelation 4:8-11

  25. 28

    Good vs Great

Sometimes the areas in our life that we have become content in are those exact areas of “normalcy” God wants us to entrust to Him. Just because you’re talented in an area or have the opportunity, doesn’t necessarily mean God is leading you in that direction. Is it possible that the areas in your life you’ve become accustomed to are the places God wants you to give to Him and step into something greater???

  26. 27

    Circumcised

What a wild topic to land on today! Paul makes an appeal to the church in Galatia regarding circumcision that I wonder if applies to us today? Is it possible that the enemy would get people to accept and agree with things that God has told us not to by repacking these exact things as common? I think so! Look at our world these last few years at how blindly society accepts things to be common or true without any question. Maybe circumcision is one of these exact places God has made available to take back that which has been stolen. Who knows?! I find it fascinating! Here is the article discussed: https://matthewtontonoz.com/2015/01/05/why-is-circumcision-so-popular-in-america/ Scripture Cited: John 10:10 Galatians 5:2 Proverbs 25:2 John 17:3

  27. 26

    Thankfulness and Obedience

Testimony Time What a thankful heart does in obedience is always met by the Lord. As kids we obey because we are learning right from wrong, as adults we are obedient because it's natural. This concept is mirrored in our relationship with the Lord. Today, I want to share with you a personal testimony of the goodness and faithfulness of God. Maybe some of you are stepping out into things you have no idea where the support, finance, infrastructure, etc. is coming from- maybe that's exactly where God wants to show up for you too.

  28. 25

    So, what do we do?

Continuing the Convo. When there is a "fall from grace" scenario in leadership, what is our response as the CHURCH BODY. Where is our seat at the table? Scripture teaches us to not consider ourselves more important than we are- it's healthy to know where we are at as far as influence and authority in our church families. This gives us context for what to expect and how to respond in certain situations, at least that's what I think....what are your thoughts?

  29. 24

    Cancelled

What do we do when we become aware of people's errors in life? Are we all entitled to an opinion? Does your level of influence demand a statement? Is there a kingdom way of processing through these circumstances? There is an uptick in the atmosphere of allegations and uncovering of things that are stirring conversation and public weigh-in. It is important to choose what you are entertained by and what you have influence over. Noah's choice that led him to his precarious situation was not what God highlighted....it was the fact one of his sons was entertained by what he found. The other brothers came in and covered their dad while preserving honor- even though Noah was the one who had made the "bad" choice. What do we learn from that?

  30. 23

    Tuned into Heaven

Human beings have been designed to learn. We have a programmed nature that desire to know all about ourselves and the world around us. Science, Math, Philosophy, Physics, Tech, Medicine--all these fields that we have grown to understand and apply to the world REVEAL who God is and how He works. God created all of these studies, I believe, to give us specific systems to seek revelation about HIM. Resonance Frequency is the phenomenon at which similar frequencies respond to one another. This response has measurable amplification and movement (oscillation) that can either be good (form things) or bad (destroy things). Is it possible that we have a resonance frequency with heaven???

  31. 22

    Can you?

Paul's famous statement "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" is an oft-quoted and cited declaration in the Christian life. Yet, Paul didn't say "You can do all things...." He made a very personal assertion based on his experience and life with Jesus. Let's take a look at Philippians 4:10-13 and what it truly means to make this statement over our own lives and how this demonstration in leadership also gives us a lens as we discern truth from the other voices and influences in the world around us.

  32. 21

Commitment isn't for the faint of heart

Pain, plot twists and suffering don't always mean you're moving in the wrong direction....sometimes, it's the evidence to stay the course. This past Saturday's women's event I co-hosted was one I had committed to weeks prior to the circumstances that complicated my life in the midst of it all. What does perseverant faith look like? What are indicators to remain steadfast with things we have committed to that may require a fight for? How valuable do you believe your life is to the world around you and to God?

  33. 20

    Halloween- innocent or not?

Is the celebration of Halloween (at any level) innocent? Are haunted houses and horror movies doorways to evil or fun ways to get an adrenaline rush? Does God care about involvement with these festivities? The beginning of humankind came with free-will. It hasn't changed since, even this side of the cross. We still have the ability to make choices- and- our choices reveal what we come into agreement with. That means we say "yes" to the things we watch, listen to, binge on, attend, etc. Philippians 4:8 advises us to think on what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and praisworthy....ergo, anything not in this list is not worth our attention. So, is there any room (even a tiny bit) for us to focus on anything that's not? Even when it's not popular to do so?

  34. 19

    Shame. Conviction and Entitlement.

The Prodigal Son is a familiar parable. In our study of this illustration, how can we relate with each brother? Where do the themes of shame and conviction come into play? What is the difference between shame and conviction? How do we keep from having an entitled culture in the church when God is in the business of welcoming everyone home and celebrating?

  35. 18

    Slivers and cancer

What do you believe about prayer? What are you asking for? What is too little, what is too much? How good IS God??

  36. 17

Are we attracting TO or distracting FROM Jesus?

Clarifying on past episodes- YES, community and the local church are absolutely important and needed in our pursuit of Jesus. However, our identity is NOT in our church- our identity is IN Christ. So, what does a healthy church and believer-centered communities look like? What should their function be? As the church are we creating culture that attracts people to Jesus or distracts them away from Him?

  37. 16

    When life happens

What do we do with the unexpected? Jesus on the Water: Matthew 14:22-33 3 Applicable points in the midst of Intersection: 1. Take Courage- security is NOT in understanding 2. Recognize Jesus- Where is God in the situation? 3. Don't Fear We are not to be BRACED against circumstances, but we are EMBRACED by Jesus in all circumstances Other Scripture: Romans 8:28 1 John 4:18 Ephesians 3:20 Ephesians 6:10-20 Isaiah 49:25 James 1:17 You don't have to have this- God HAS this!

  38. 15

    Offense can create a fence...

How many times do our own beliefs, understanding of truth, theology, tradition, etc get in the way of getting to know God? Is it possible these exact places God is desiring you to explore and, perhaps, lay down those things we hold so tightly in order to have greater access and freedom to Him....maybe?

  39. 14

    Why the Bible?

Why is the Bible necessary to know God? How do I start or where do I start?

  40. 13

    Why Jesus?

Going after relationship with God naturally comes to a point of questioning who He is and How we can connect with Him. We want to talk to Him- so where’s a starting point? I suggest that like receiving an inheritance from a family member in this world, God has provided the full inheritance of relationship with Him through one way and that way IS the Trust in which the inheritance has been held and the starting point to accessing God. One way isn’t exclusive- I suggest it is fully inclusive.

  41. 12

    Ummm…I can’t hear God

Relationship requires communication and communication requires, well, talking. So, how do we hear God?

  43. 10

    New vs Next

What is the difference between the “next” thing and the “new” thing? What in your life could you be stepping into that will not build upon what you’re familiar or comfortable with? Is it possible that God is actually giving you an opportunity to trust Him and experience something off your grid? Maybe?

  44. 9

    Every. Day.

His Mercies are NEW each day. The God of Just Enough? The God of Abundance? Prosperity or Lack? What kind of person is Jesus when it comes to resources- and when we talk about resource, we are talking about every need in life….so, to what measure does He give?
