We’ll dive into topics like career paths, mental health journeys, and the road through struggle, redemption, processing, and hope. Together, I believe our unique experiences can create a space to ignite inspiration, connection, and healing. Eunjoey!!

Throwback to the old school days when information was barely out there to now where we can consume in abundance, Doris shares what it looked like to grow up as a Korean American navigating various identities in her life. From carrying the burden of representing others who share her condition to learning how to release and heal, Doris' personal stories and words of wisdom made this conversation both fun and insightful.  Doris grew up and still resides in Seattle where she currently works in tech. You can also find her at @iwearshirtsasdresses and listen to some of her own episodes on @ashotofsojupodcast. Eunjoy~ Doris Jeong: Enneagram 4.

Forever Starts With Effort, Sorah (6) and Kevin (2)

What a Valentine's Day treat we have today! I got to chat with Kevin and Sorah Kong on the podcast this week, and did I learn a thing or few. Kevin and Sorah are Dallas natives that started dating in high school and grew their relationship into marriage with two beautiful girls. Together since 2006, it wasn't the rainbows that brought them to where they are today but rather how they responded in the stormiest of seasons. Listen in as they reflect on their "immature" days, their lonely days, the days that brought them closer than ever, and how they stay on top of communication in order to make the best team possible.  Take some time to reflect with your loved ones and celebrate the times, both good and hard, that helped you make it this far together! Money, Missions, and Motherhood #WinningforHisKingdom, Hanna (3)

What a treat it was to sit down with a sweet friend, Hanna Chang, as she reflected over her adventurous life and inspiring accomplishments. Hanna grew up in Korea, Ghana, and Texas and has been residing in California for the past 9 years. Hanna leads business strategy for a startup during the day and creates trading card related content when she can find time apart from being a mom of two young kids. Her family is currently in transition to Asia long term to do faith-based work, so listen to hear how you can also follow and support their journey.  I had so much fun listening to my pioneer friend drop wisdom on her early days climbing the corporate ladder, reflect on how she changed the trajectory of financial insecurity for her family and future generations to come (YASS), and how she and Jacob reshifted priorities to use their God given talents to serve overseas. Oh and also which sports card we're all sleeping on! Tune into an organic conversation with one my funniest, realest, grittiest, and most successful friends. I'll add stubborn to balance it out haha. Hanna is the real freaking deal, and I hope you guys....Eunjoy~~~~~ Hanna (Sea) Chang: Enneagram 3, ISTJ @harukazoku @shecollectscards Subscribe to their Japan Journey on Youtube!

Laura Iz: Momfluencer Life - Motherhood, Marriage, and Mental Health

Happy World Mental Health Day! I can’t believe I got to sit down with Laura Izumikawa, a professional photographer and videographer, who began creating photos and videos of her adorable napping daughter, Joey, in pop-culture costumes as a way to make her friends and family laugh while on maternity leave. What began as a way for Laura to find humor in parenting turned into a viral phenomenon. Her photos turned into a published book by Simon and Schuster in 2017 called, Naptime with Joey, which I own and have personally signed hehe! Laura and Joey have been featured on USA Today, ABC News, Huffington Post, and BuzzFeed, and recent partnerships include Canon, Apple, Target, Huggies, Mattel, Alaska Air, and Whole Foods.  Laura has since amassed a loyal audience who follow her for her humorous approach to parenting along with informative tips, her relatable approach about home and lifestyle, and teaching her daughters the importance of spreading kindness - all told through the lens of a down-to-earth and candid mother.  Listen in as Laura openly shares about how her faith grounds her in this crazy momfluencer life, how she intentionally protects and balances her identities in motherhood, marriage, and her mental well being, and her unique perspectives and inspiring life tips that have continued to shape and grow her and those around her. Thank you Laura for coming on the pod!!  Laura is an Enneagram 4 or 7 and her MBTI is ISFP - The Adventurer!

Carol Pak: Gunbae! Cheers! My Journey to Sool.

This week I got to sit down with Carol Pak, founder of Sool! With renowned beverages like @drinkmakku and @drinksoku, Carol and the @drinksool team have paved the way in innovation to globalize Korean alcohol in an accessible and inclusive way since 2017. I personally fell in love with Makku in October 2021 on a trip to Seattle where this rice-based, all-natural, vegan, and gluten-free drink birthed from our parents' country brought such a physically and emotionally satisfying taste with each sip. Listen in on our conversation as Carol reflects on how all her experiences intersect to lead her to this point today, what she would tell her younger entrepreneur self, and her invaluable perspective as an Asian American female founder of a global product. Prior to Sool, she worked at ZX Ventures (owned by AB InBev), leading the launch of a new alcoholic beverage brand in China. She is native New Yorker, with a Bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Columbia Business School. Follow Carol on Instagram and LinkedIn. Happy Chuseok: Parents are Human Edition!

I hope everyone had a Happy Chuseok this past weekend! In honor of creating space for family time, the Chi x Koller family played a game, Parents are Human, a bilingual connection card game designed to spark deep conversations between you and your loved ones. We had so much fun sharing with one another, and even though our family is pretty close to begin with, we got to learn more about how to love and appreciate each other better and even hear some stories from our parents' pasts. Listen in as we share and butcher some Korean words :P, all while soaking in the true meaning of this holiday. With the pandemic and rising inflation, more and more families are focusing on the importance of gathering with families and relatives to have quality time together rather than focusing on the ritual itself. I hope as you join in on our family's conversation, you can be encouraged to go back and start dialogue within your own intimate units! ALSO, stay tuned until the very end to catch a teaser from the cutest guest in the world. HEHEHOHO! Happy Chuseok: Siblings Edition!

In preparation for Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving) this weekend, I invited my siblings to the pod to reminisce on our younger days as we share our different perspectives on what it was like growing up under the same roof. We swap stories on getting spanked, the pressures of being an Asian American student at a competitive school, and what obedience looked like to each of us. We also swap fond stories of gratitude as we remind ourselves that through any low or high, our family has been and will always be a glue that keeps us together through life, no matter the obstacle. Thank you, Appa and Umma! I am honored to sit down and talk with Jeanie Chang, LMFT, on the podcast this week. KollerKrew: We Moved, Did Therapy, and Talk Enneagram!

This week, Matt and I sit down to reflect on our recent move to Dallas. TBH, it was an incredibly hard transition for us, relationally, but I always appreciate my husband for taking time to reflect and seeing how we can grow from every obstacle. We reminisce on Houston, look ahead to opportunities in Dallas, and all the transitions still ahead for the KollerKrew. We also talk about our recent experience in couples therapy and have some fun reading some descriptions about each other's Enneagram Types! There is even a past "quibble" that we would love the Enneagram community to chime in on  towards the end :)  Thank you for allowing us to be vulnerable on the podcast. Have fun listening and three cheers to Matt on starting his first BIG BOY doctor job this week!! Matt is an Enneagram 9 and his MBTI is ESFJ - The Consul. Janice Tong: Birth Stories, Motherhood Reflections, and Preparing for Baby #2

This week, I had a spontaneous conversation with Janice Tong, formerly Janice Yi, to shed some light on our more "positive" birth experiences, share our pregnancy journeys and scares, and reflect on the overall joys and struggles of motherhood as we prepare for the imminent transition from one to two. Our sons, Levi and Jadon, were born a day apart at the start of lockdown in TX, and now, two years later, we are both preparing to welcome our second babies! Janice was born and raised in Dallas with a fun path that took her through bible college to corporate life to now stay-at-home mom life while managing operations for Ignis Community. While Janice and I have been acquaintances with various connections over the years, what brought us even closer now is motherhood, and I love how this stage in life can bring us together! Excuse our heavy breathing as we are both in our third trimesters, and enjoy us ajummas babbling about life :) Janice is an Enneagram 6 and her MBTI is ISFJ - The Defender!
