Ep.33 Endo chat
In this episode I speak about my experiences of the symptoms of endometriosis and different ways I deal with it. I chat about trying out the AIP diet and other tips and tricks that have helped me. Endo is something that was taking over my life and becoming debilitating for me. Although I still have symptoms, some of these changes I have made have helped me a lot with the pain and improved my quality of life. 1 in 10 women in the UK and Ireland have endometriosis. A 2024 report found that more than 37,000 women were on hospital waiting lists in Northern Ireland for gynaecological services with 5% of those waiting nearly three years for treatment. I know how sensitive and difficult this topic is and I am aware these tips may not help everyone but I thought I would share them in case they helped at least one person. This is not medical advice and I have also went down the traditional medical route. I just wanted people struggling with this condition to see that things can get better. <3 xxxhttps://www.endometriosis-uk.org/sites/default/files/2024-03/Endometriosis%20UK%20diagnosis%20survey%202023%20report%20March.pdfEndo helpline operated by trained volunteers with personal experience of the condition- 0808 808 2227.

Ep.32 Dave Linton on Madlug- the business that empowers foster kids
In this episode, I was grateful to meet and chat to Dave Linton, the founder of Madlug (make a difference luggage). Dave was moved by the words of a young girl who grew up in foster care, who had to move her belongings in a bin bag as she was not provided with a suitcase. He went on to learn that this was a scenario faced by many children in care. With £500 to start with, Dave set up his social enterprise with an aim to end the use of bin bags as luggage for children in care. With every sale from Madlug, a travel pack is donated to a child in care. Dave also shared stories from his career as a youth worker as well as a story about meeting Richard Branson for lunch!Dave is a truly inspirational person and it was a pleasure to chat to him. Ep.21 What actually is OCD? w/ OCDestigmatise
Welcome back to my podcast! <3 I'm so grateful to Zack for coming on to shed a light on OCD. It's been really interesting to learn more about the condition, after struggling with it myself. 3% of the population struggle with OCD, therefore there have been many preconceptions in the media as to what it really looks like. Often going hand in hand with anxiety, OCD is a very difficult condition to have. Zack does incredible work openly talking about the symptoms and ways you can find help. He has worked with charities and runs an award winning Instagram page, discussing all things mental health. I believe it's truly important to destigmatise mental health in order to move forward with healing. Realising you have OCD can be a difficult journey and I hope that this could help someone or educate people on breaking down the taboo of mental health conversations.
