    3 Easy Ways To Build Up Self-Reliance | 42

Have you ever just gone on a date by yourself? Like gone out to eat, gone to the movies or just taken a walk around the block - by yourself.  This is just one of the practical ways we can build our self-reliance muscle! 💪🏼 On this episode, my new friend, Pernell Bobby, joined me to talk about self-reliance - being able to depend on yourself, trust yourself, and being confident in your abilities.  There were so many little golden nuggets in this episode! We talked about Pernell's personal story of sharpening this skill, finding the balance, how he's been able to help others, and how you can take action on becoming more self-reliant, too.  I hope this episode blesses you and helps you along your journey. If you'd like to connect with Pernell, you can find him most active on Instagram & YouTube @pernellbobby.  P.S. Tbh, the audio in this recording isn't the greatest. 🙈 So, I apologize for that, but let it be a reminder, to just do it! Progression OVER perfection. Our work won't always be perfect, if ever, but one day we'll be able to look back and see just how far we've come!  Thank you so much for listening. Healing Isn't Pretty: How To Heal and Thrive in Life | 41

We all go through hardships and traumas to a certain degree, therefore, we all need some kind of healing. But healing is not easy and definitely not pretty! Many adults go through life with hurts from their past and as a result they simply exist; they do not thrive nor live life to it's fullest potential! That's why I love what my good friend, Eldis, is doing.  Eldis created Hearts on the Table - a non-profit empowerment organization that helps teens learn life skills as well as help them along their healing journey. Things like how to love themselves, educate them on effective communication and help them shift their mindset to more positive thinking. Eldis and her team provide these teens with the tools and resources they need so they can transition into adulthood as healthy, whole adults!  On this episode, Eldis shares her own story of hope, what inspired her to start this amazing organization and how we can start loving ourselves RIGHT NOW.   If you'd like more information on HOTT, you can connect with them on their website at heartsonthetable.com or on Instagram @heartsonthetable Please let me know what you thought of this episode - I'd love to hear from you!  Until next time, Much Love ❤️ - Lauren, @thelaurengreene

Authentic Relationships & How To Cultivate Them | 38

Ah! This episode with Gabby Hoyos was such a blessing! We talked all about how to maintain healthy relationships.  How do we know if a relationship is healthy? How do we know when it's time to cut some people off? How can we make sure our relationships are authentic? I think we can all agree that relationships can sometimes be a little bit tricky, but as Gabby said, "having an authentic relationship means being willing to love again."  No one is perfect and sometimes you'll get hurt. Other times you might do the hurting. But having a healthy relationships means being able to accept forgiveness AND extend forgiveness so that you can continue to grow.  There is so much more goodness to this episode, you're just gonna have to take a listen for yourself! ☺️ We pray that you love it and that it blesses you. You can ask God questions without questioning who He is. I'm so thankful for Kristen Decker, founder of Freedom from Bullying, for joining me on this episode!  Kristin had her very own "Why, God?" moments when she endured 7 years of bullying. What To Do When God Closes A Door | 30

"No right now, doesn't mean no forever."  This was such good advice Nancy gave on today's episode! Nancy Li shared with me her journey of wanting to go into overseas missions and how God took her down another path, but it was far from easy.  It was a hard no for her to hear and she went through a period of mourning and waiting.  Nancy tells us of how she trusted God to get her through that hard time and how she now does missions in her "backyard"! We pray that this episode would bless you! Maybe you feel like a door has been closed recently and now you're in the waiting place. Be encouraged - a no right now doesn't mean no forever. Trust God. He knows what's best for us!  You can find Nancy on social media at facebook.com/nancy.li.790 Much love ❤️ @thelaurengreene

    It's Not About You! | 29

There was an underlying theme throughout this whole episode and it's that - IT IS NOT ABOUT YOU!  And you might think, "Okay - great, but what does that mean?"  Your calling is not about you. No matter how big the dream or how scary it seems, it's not about you! Your calling is to serve others and ultimately expand the Kingdom of Heaven. 🙌🏼 Your story, or your testimony if you will, is not about you! We talk about the importance of sharing your story as a means of helping someone else along the way.  Someone who might be struggling with the very same thing you struggled with.  Evonne Heredia, founder of Wanderwell Boutique, was such a gem on this episode! She is living out her calling that is bigger than herself. Wanderwell donates a portion of all sales to Africa New Life - an organization that feeds families in Rwanda.  I'm so thankful for her transparency as she shared about the personal brokenness and struggles she went through, as well as the fears that consumed her before opening her boutique.   We hope that you find encouragement and boldness in this episode!  Make sure to check out her website - wanderwell.boutique - as well as follow the journey on Instagram @wanderwell.boutique Thanks for tuning in! The Importance Of Sisterhood & A Lesson On Forgiveness | 28

What 👏🏼 an 👏🏼 episode! 👏🏼   Today, I chatted with sisters, Kristie and Lisa about their book club - Book Club Sisterhood. Their community was designed so that women would know that they don't have to do life alone. In their book club, they offer membership boxes and weekly zoom calls to discuss the book of the month.  The business and community these sisters have created is amazing, but for me that isn't even the best part. During this episode, Kristie and Lisa were completely transparent and shared their story with us. A story of distorted relationships, brokenness, forgiveness and how they found the road back to Jesus. It was a beautiful thing getting to hear their testimony! Trust me you don't want to miss it!  If you're looking for a community of women to do life with, make sure to check out Book Club Sisterhood on Facebook and Instagram @bookclubsisterhood as well as their website www.bookclubsisterhood.com.  Thanks for tuning in! If Your Faith Is Dwindling, This Is For YOU! | 19

Just a little life update.... :) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ At first I wasn't sure if I was going to share this, but that's what life experiences are for, right?! To be shared; to help someone else in their journey. And I don't want to be someone who only "preaches" and talks about faith...I want to be the person to actually live it out! I want to be a living, breathing example of God's goodness and show you that He WILL come through for you. So my prayer for you today is that if your faith is weak, if you aren't sure the outcome, use my story to lean on. Let it bring you hope. I pray that my experience blesses you and reminds you that God is ALWAYS on time! ❤️ You can follow me on Facebook, Instagram, & Twitter @thelaurengreene.

Hustle and Heart Will Set You Apart | 18

It was so great having my friend, Ashley, on today's episode. She is the owner of Everafter Beauty Co., a boutique style beauty team that travels to you for the ultimate hair and makeup experience for your big life events.  We talked about why she started Everafter Beauty Co., her 1st year in business and her passion for cosmetology.  I think a common factor between many entrepreneurs is thinking that their niche is overly-saturated and that there isn't any room for them. Ashley struggled with this a little bit too and shared this motto (that I loved), "hustle and heart will set you apart." Her hope for Everafter Beauty Co. is that her clients would see her love and passion for cosmetology.  You can find out more about Everafter Beauty Co. on their website at www.everafterbeautyco.com and on Instagram @everafterbeauty.co Thank you for tuning in! "So I Say To My Soul..." | 13

On this episode, I breakdown parts of Psalm 42:11 TPT.  Here are the takeaways: 1. "So, I Say To My Soul..." = We are not subject to our emotions or thoughts. We can choose to think better and control our emotions. 2. Being aware of how we feel. We can feel discouraged, angry, mad, sad, frustrated, jealous, but it's important not to sit with those feeling for too long.  I also talk about a song from Mosaic called Fountain (I am good).  It ties the verse all together, because it speaks on the idea that we are good because God created us in His image and He loves us perfectly. So because of that, we don't have to agree with our emotions or negative mindset, but we can choose to agree with God's love and what He thinks about us!  If you enjoyed this episode, I'd love to connect with you more! What Nipsey Taught Me | 04

On this episode I celebrate the life of Nipsey Hussle. RIP. Although it’s sad because we lost a beautiful person, we can celebrate his life because of the positive impact he was making in this world. I talk about all the good he was contributing and how we can learn from his example. My heart goes out to his loved ones; I’m praying for you all daily! We know that life isn’t promised, so what are you doing with the time you’ve been given?
