Understanding The Healthy Nature of The Fear of The Lord - Audio
In this message, Pastor Chris Rieber begins a three part series looking at the concept of The Fear of the Lord. Scripture speaks much about this alongside the understanding of God as a loving, compassionate, merciful Father. How do we reckon the two natures of God together? In this first sermon from Psalm 34, Pastor Chris explores how understanding the awesome holiness, power and perfection of God puts us in a better place to revere Him for His love and grace.

Summer For the Soul: Finding True Rest In A Restless World - Audio
Using Psalm 23, Pastor Derek looks at the Lord as our Great Shepherd who provides rest to His sheep—sheep who, whether they realize it or not, are desperate for the care and nurture of the Shepherd for every single facet of their existence. Key Truths from the Message: We are created for communion with God. Our souls were literally designed to be in relationship with Him. We default toward cheap substitutes. When we get tired, we tend to chase things that cannot actually satisfy us. Substitutes can never restore us. A substitute cannot restore you because it didn't create you in the first place. Jesus alone restores. As our Great Shepherd, He is the only one who can truly restore our souls. Rest is not inactivity. True rest is found directly in the living presence of Jesus. Looking further at Matthew 11:28-30 and Hebrews 4:9-11, we see that the Lord lovingly calls us to a place of continual rest in Him, regardless of what season we may currently be walking through—whether it is busy, stressful, chaotic, or peaceful.

Holding Up The Ropes of Ministry - Audio
Who is the call to mission work meant for? When we think of missions, we often think of a missionary who leaves home to go to another place to preach the Gospel. This is an accurate definition, but it is actually incomplete. It is only one aspect of a much larger realm of the heart of God. The call to mission work is actually for every believer. The Great Commission for all of us to take part in God's plan to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth so that all may hear the good news of salvation. In this message, special guest, Ian Corpuz looks at three verses from Acts 9 where the disciples helped Paul to escape the plot to arrest him by hiding him in a basked and lowering him down with ropes outside a window in the city walls. These disciples had a part in the mission work of Paul by being willing to "hold the ropes" so the gospel could continue to go forth through Paul's mission journeys. Pastor Ian, a missionary himself in his native land of the Philippines, looks at three truths regarding how all of us have an opportunity to hold the ropes of ministry. Some are in the basket willing to go. Others are those who hold the ropes, helping the work to continue through prayer and financial support, and through a mindset that understands there is no greater purpose than to see the gospel go forth to the nations.

Ruth 4 | A Happily Ever After For All Of Us - Audio
Every great love story relies on a thrilling conclusion, but the story of Ruth and Boaz gives us something much greater than a Hollywood ending—it reveals a cosmic promise. In this final installment of our four-part series, Pastor Derek Holmes walks us through the triumphant conclusion of Ruth chapter 4. Against all odds, and through the quiet, sovereign providence of God, Boaz and Ruth overcome every legal and cultural obstacle standing in their way to finally be united in marriage. But the story doesn't end at the wedding altar. God blesses them with a son named Obed, setting off a divine chain reaction. Obed would become the grandfather of King David, placing this remarkable couple directly into the earthly lineage of Jesus Christ. Join us as we discover how Boaz’s fierce, protective love for Ruth isn't just ancient history—it is a vivid mirror showing us just how relentless, complete, and life-altering Christ’s redeeming love is for each of us today. No matter how broken your beginning looks, God is crafting a happily ever after for us all.

Ruth 3 | The Declaration of Love - Audio
In a world full of transactional relationships, what does true, redeeming love actually look like? In this episode, Pastor Derek Holmes delivers the third installment of our four-part series through the book of Ruth. Moving into one of the most pivotal moments of the story, we dive deep into the profound encounter between Ruth and Boaz at the threshing floor—a moment that is so much more than a ancient romance. Pastor Derek investigates how Boaz and Ruth’s unfolding love story serves as a breathtaking metaphorical depiction of the Gospel. Through Boaz’s fierce protection, intentional provision, and sacrificial love for Ruth, we get a tangible, beautiful picture of how Christ cares for us and desires to save and redeem us from our brokenness. But redemption isn't just about the Redeemer; it's also about our response. We look at Ruth’s bold, willing request to be taken under Boaz’s wing, uncovering what it teaches us about the posture of our own hearts. To experience the fullness of Christ’s saving grace, we must come to Him with that same willingness and vulnerability. Whether you feel hidden, broken, or undeserving of love, this episode is a powerful reminder that you have a Kinsman-Redeemer who has already declared His love for you. Key Takeaways From This Episode: - The Gospel in the Old Testament: How the historical accounts of Ruth and Boaz mirror Christ’s ultimate redemptive mission. - The Character of the Redeemer: Understanding Christ’s heart for you through Boaz’s protection and provision. - The Posture of Faith: What Ruth’s surrender teaches us about how we must approach Jesus for salvation.

Ruth 2 | A Meet-Cute For The Ages
In part two of Ruth: Redeemed By Love, Pastor Derek Holmes walks through Ruth 2 and the unforgettable moment Ruth meets Boaz — a “meet-cute” that is far more than a charming love-story scene. What looks like a chance encounter in a barley field is actually the sovereign hand of God at work, weaving together grace, provision, protection, and redemption. Ruth enters the field as a poor Moabite widow with no security, no status, and no guarantee of survival. But Boaz sees her, welcomes her, protects her, provides for her, and points us toward the greater Redeemer, Jesus Christ. Through this story, we are reminded that God is never absent, even in ordinary circumstances; Jesus welcomes us in spite of our brokenness; and when we meet the Redeemer, everything changes. This message invites us to consider where God may be working through what we often call coincidence, and it calls every listener to find refuge, hope, and salvation under the wings of Christ.

In chapter 1, we are introduced to Naomi and Ruth, two widows in desperate need for hope. Through this chapter, we see some explicit gospel truths that (1) Sin has a devastating power, but (2) The redeeming power of God is much stronger!

The Why to our What
This Sunday, Pastor Derek continued our study through the book of Colossians with a message titled “The Why to Our What” from Colossians 1:1–14. The Christian Home
In a world where the definition of "family" is constantly shifting, what does God actually have to say about the foundation of our lives? In this episode, Pastor Chris Rieber dives into Colossians 3:18–25 to unpack the divine blueprint for the Christian household. Far from a list of rigid rules, these verses reveal a high-stakes, beautiful design intended to reflect the heart of God. What’s Inside the Episode: The Marriage Metaphor: Discover how the union between a husband and wife isn't just a social contract, but a living, breathing metaphor for the relationship between Jesus and His bride, the Church. Redefining Submission: We tackle the often-misunderstood concept of biblical submission, looking at it through the lens of trust, order, and mutual respect rather than control. The Husband’s Mandate: Pastor Chris explores the weighty calling of a husband to model Christ’s love—not through power, but through the radical sacrifice of laying down his life for his wife. The Training Ground: Why the home is the ultimate classroom. We discuss how the atmosphere of the home shapes children, teaching them what it truly looks like to navigate adult life with faith and integrity. Whether you are married, single, or raising a family, this message offers a grounded, biblical perspective on how our most intimate relationships can point the world back to the Gospel. "The home is the first place where the Gospel should be made visible."

The Way of The Chosen
What does it actually look like to live out your faith in the messy reality of everyday life? In this episode, Pastor Chris Rieber dives into the heart of Colossians 3:12–17 to explore "The Way of the Chosen." Being "chosen" isn't just a theological status; it’s a daily calling that transforms how we interact with our families, our friends, and our enemies. Paul’s letter to the Colossians provides a roadmap for the Christian walk, moving beyond abstract ideals into concrete actions. Walking in Tolerance: Bearing with one another and extending the same radical forgiveness we have received from Christ. Walking in Wisdom: Letting the Word of Christ dwell in us richly as we navigate a complex world with thankfulness. Whether you are feeling weary in your faith or looking for a practical "reset," this message offers a clear vision of how to clothe yourself in love—the bond of perfect unity.

Keep The Lights On: The Magi's Example of Continued Worship
As the glow of Christmas fades and the decorations come down, Scripture invites us to consider a deeper question: what if Christmas was never meant to end? In Matthew 2:1–12, the Magi model a faith that refuses to dim after the celebration. They searched diligently, followed the light they were given, worshiped wholeheartedly, and left changed by an encounter with Christ. Their journey reminds us that the incarnation is not a moment to rush past, but a mystery to live within. It is better to live in contemplation of the depth of Christ coming near than to live only in anticipation of a climactic celebration. Christmas isn’t just a day, or even a season—it’s a way of life shaped by worship, obedience, and persistent devotion. In this sermon, we’ll explore how to keep the lights on all year long, carrying the spirit of Christmas into our daily walk with Jesus.

The Day Justice Died So The Unjust Could Live
In this powerful sermon, Pastor Derek Holmes walks us through the shocking miscarriage of justice surrounding the trial and condemnation of Jesus Christ. From the moment of His arrest to the final verdict, Jesus faced an onslaught of unfair opposition, false accusations, and officials—from the religious leaders to Pilate and Herod—who utterly failed to uphold the law. It was a day when justice truly died. But it was this very miscarriage of justice that was necessary for the entire Gospel plan to be carried out! Pastor Holmes reveals how this series of unlawful events became the pivotal moment that secured salvation for all who would believe. Jesus, the only perfectly innocent person to ever walk the earth, willingly took the punishment for every unjust person (that's all of us!). This sermon is a profound look at the darkest day in history that became the brightest hope for humanity. Key Takeaways: The phases of Jesus' trial and the specific ways justice was subverted. How the betrayal of justice was essential to God's plan. The magnificent exchange: The innocent took the punishment for the guilty.
