Vengeance: Is driven by anger and a desire for retribution (Romans 12:19). Leads to more harm and perpetuates a cycle of violence (Proverbs 24:29). Is discouraged, as God says vengeance belongs to Him (Deuteronomy 32:35). The Bible encourages us to choose love over vengeance, trusting that God will ultimately bring justice in His time and way.

One of the most famous passages about love is found in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, which describes love as patient, kind, not envious or boastful, not arrogant or rude, not insisting on its own way, not irritable or resentful, not rejoicing at wrongdoing but rejoicing with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
