unexpected tackles.
i started this story and did not complete the thought: when my grandfather was buried a man knelt before me (a fire man! of all things) and said, "Your grandfather wanted YOU to have this."He didn't give it to his son, or his (only) grandson, he gave it to me.and the man's facial expression (essentially, to me) said "do you guys even realize the man we just lost, do you guys appreciate him? i think i loved this man more than any of yall might, and he was just my boss, my coworker..."anyway it was a national medal of honor.imagine earning a NATIONAL MEDAL OF HONOR, and not talking about it. i dont think any of us even knew, until it was in my hand.my dad even asked me for it, i said, "were you listening? that man said he wanted ME to have it, its not yours."anyway: the fight is real,THE LOVE is real.love,WINSLOW

episode whatever.
spring cleaning, anyone??while i recognize that in the SOUTH, seasons may not mean as much... one thing i really enjoyed about living in Maine was the very clear and real shift, as a season turns.its technically spring until June 22, so we're in PERMISSION TO BLOOM season (8th year running? on that concept, alone?? meaning: every Spring, for atleast 8 years, i oscillate with, promote, and reflect upon this notion) AND its objectively (widely recognized as) time to clean. we organize, sift, sort. we're thankful its warm enough to OPEN A DOOR (dafuq? in Florida its too hot to open a door sometimes, in Maine its way too cold all the HEAT will escape).Flowers do not wait for permission to bloom, and yet we all know it can often be a deficit to be considerate. we know that people who lack intelligence, respect, etc. dont often doubt themselves.in fact: being self conscious is in part a reflection of not only a considerate spirit, but an educated one. there's many ways we say this, I'm sure yall have heard this before:"The problem with the world is that the intelligent people are full of doubts, while the stupid ones are full of confidence." – Charles Bukowskianyway: perspective jahbless.love,WINSLOW

Bonusae (pronounce it like: bonsai, but think "alumnae" in the sense that it's plural (but also Latin) so it's MORE THAN ONE bonus, this is bonus one, of two. I recorded another one recently. terrible time for the tablet to die, I apologize for the way it cuts out at the end.what I was saying is: not only is my high school friend's big brother a great family man, he's making big moves professionally. whole time it seems he has not forgotten where he came from, he still looks out... had no reason to help me, still chose to.proud to have been a part of that evening, thanks for that.also thank you Marcus for your leadership (and that hug).

"part time love
is the life round here." to quote a great song (by James Blake, I like the version with Ellie Goulding)but i just thought of this: part time love, FULL TIME WINSLOW. Lol but nah: its full time love and full time Winslow, y'all know the drill.patience, meditation, virtue (not to be confused with: virtue signaling) discussing the golden rule, mostly, in this one.I get that it's frustrating, to not know something, or to feel you have been wronged (even if what's wrong: is simply that you/we have not been taught or told THE TRUTH, in any regard). now: being upset, and (or) frustrated IS NOT THE SAME as it being okay to stray outside of WWJD-ing. as in: it's not okay to lie, cheat, and steal, BECAUSE you're mad. in fact you might (incorrectly) take it out on, and destabilize, someone who truly wants to see what's BEST play out.I hope you win.I pray that you remember: we are one.God is Love, Love is God. and Love Wins.Love,Winslow

episode six | no saunas in the psych ward— what gives?
"and their DAD is there" (*)(spotify said/hears/dictates "dog," na: it was Alfie) please enjoy this heartfelt, and earnest reflection on a surprising reality. In all my years of seeking, and receiving mental health support: ain’t nobody asking me how often I hit the sauna, or even recommending it. Yet it has helped more (with tension, TMJ, clearing my mind, improving my mood, appetite issues, arthritis) than anything else. Accompanied by an unexpected parallel between three of my personal super heroes:Dr. Christiane Northrup,Michael Jackson, and Kanye West… hear me out! also: Amanda and I were ON that plastic couch, watching weird al yancovik's "new world order," (!!) "riding dirty," and "Amish paradise." please note that the theories and ideas presented here are organic, and derived of my own volition. it isn't just that "nobody paid me to say this," consider the fact that they might genuinely offer me money NOT to say this shit... I would not accept it though! #gangGANGPS: love wins 🤍 choose it, if you’re able! PPS: ur definitely able. Fight the fear (FALSE EVIDENCE APPEARING REAL)

episode four | Dorothea McQueen
Brilliant historian, educator, actress… listen as Dorothea Mcqueen selflessly embodies the spirit of Sarah Winslow, wife to Edward Winslow (who is recorded in various ways: “captain” of the Mayflower, printer, saint, husband, and healer) Recording is slightly distant, as she kindly spoke at a Thanksgiving dinner event (and we recorded from our table, and share with her permission!) And take time to hear someone else’s story, today! It may heal, as you learn more about the spirit of the Mayflower— a hopeful, weary expedition ultimately forged by the belief that NOTHING is worth living out of alignment with one’s true beliefs, heart, and intentions
