Main characters, we've got a lot to cover today, and I've got the best person to do it with—my sister Katarina's joining us on the pod, and things get wild. We're about to make a big move to Europe, and we dive into what this next chapter means for us—our goals, dreams, and everything in between. I have some news...I am leaving New York. Long story short, I'm moving to London for grad school. I know this is so out of the blue but on today's episode, I go into detail of how long I've been working on this and what's to come. I know my time in New York was short, but wow oh wow did I learn a lot. This city is so incredibly special and it chewed me up and spit me right back out. I've never felt better. This is a really special episode to me. I hope you like it

Team, lots to discuss here today. We are going to talk about Trump and his new VP pick, me performing stand up in front of my MOTHER for the first time, and dissecting the misogyny we see in the world. I feel so often that as a woman, I have to be hyper-aware of everything I do so I don't take up too much space, say the wrong thing, or have to fit into this mold of what or how a "woman" should act. From my memories in college in a sorority to the casual belittling I see of women daily, we have a lot to unpack here.

On today's episode, we have a very special guest, everyone open your arms and hearts for Amelia Montooth! Today, we are going to talk about all things politics, being a baddie, and why celebs need to stop with creating beauty brands out of their asses. Amelia is a dear friend of mine and truly is the voice of our generation. You have probably seen her ripping the patriarchy to shreds on her TikTok or talking about how being queer is one wild roller coaster. I'm so excited for you to join us today. 

Main Characters, buckle in because this episode is going to be a wild ride. On this episode, we are going to have a chat with Jake Ulbrich. This human being is one of the most unhinged, wildly brilliant, and chaotic people you will ever come across and I can't wait for you all to meet him. This future NASA electrical engineer will lead us to a better world, with an iced americano in one hand and poppers in the other. 

This week we will be talking about rejection and redirection. Rejection often feels like shoved in the chest and your stomach flips upside, or like a closed door shutting in your face. Yet, it's in these moments that redirection reveals its power. Rather than viewing rejection as a dead end, I'm trying to see it as a signpost guiding you onto a different path, perhaps one you hadn't considered before. As much as I'm saying that for you to hear, I really need to hear it. It's in times of rejection where we learn most about ourselves and I think that's quite resilient. 

If there's one thing about me it's that I will always be the annoying girl who studied abroad. I just got back from the UK and we have a lot to discuss... like how I got food poising on my anniversary, or how I started to watch Naked Attraction with my friends, or how there is no one more sensitive than a straight white man. This episode is so unhinged. P.S. I hope you read this imaging me saying this in a British dialect. 

This is a throwback episode. I filmed this while I was in the Podeo studios in Beirut and it feels surreal that I was even there. It was a few years since I had been back and this meant more to me than I had anticipated. On this episode, we talk about what home even means. Being apart of the Lebanese diaspora is the biggest part of my identity and my proudest part of my identity. They say home is where the heart is, but what if my heart is in multiple places? Does that still mean that it's my home? This episode is dedicated to Lebanon.

Since a kid, I have always wondered why we put so much pressure on this holiday. I used to always make resolutions and would literally hate myself for not completing them. So this year, I said eff that, I am going sent intentions and ditch resolutions altogether. I can't wait for what this year will bring and hope I get to do it alongisde you. This one's a raw one, team. I wasn't planning on doing an episode like this until the next year, but here we are. Everyone's relationship with their own body is different. My relationship with my body is complex and I have been dealing with this issue for a long time. We're going to talk about the difference between body positivity vs. body neutrality, shame, self love, and so much more. Despite being the older sister, I find myself in awe of Kat's resilience, wisdom, and unique perspective on life. Long story short, I looked up "Detoxing" on TikTok and all I saw green juice, fish oil, and lemon water. I think thats bullshit. On this week's episode, we are going to dive into detox culture and misconceptions about it. P.S. will be giving you a full debrief on my life as of a late.

Trick or Treat, bitch. What did you dress up as? It's my favorite time of the year so we have lots to talk about. Specifically, about long distance relationships. Unless you live under a rock, you know that I'm in one. We will dive in on maintaining a happy, exciting, and enjoyable long distance relationship. Whether it's romantic, platonic, or familial, we're all in one. 

You ask, I deliver. Come on in, sit down and relax. I asked my followers on my instagram what they might need advice on and as your older sister, I want to give you guidance. Whether it's about roommate drama, style inspo, seeking a matchmaker, or how to sustain a healthy relationship, I always got you. On this episode, I'm eating it all up and leaving no crumbs. 

I? Moved? To? New? York? City? Bitch! One way ticket and a dream. One could argue, broad city. I'm literally just a girl who would die for her main character arc. This has been years in the making. I have always wanted to move to NY but have always been afraid to do so. My time in LA got...comfortable. I think comfortability is great, but at some point, you just stay stagnant. I felt like I was at a plateau in my life. We're going to talk about how I wrote a Terms & Conditions list on my plane ride here and signed it. How I'm reaching out to people to go on friend dates, and how I'm learning to find joy in all this solitude in this big city. For the first time in a really long time, I feel proud of myself for doing this. 

Since moving to LA, I have realized that almost everyone I know have gotten some kind of cosmetic procedure or aesthetic enhancement done. Myself included. And to be clear, I am in full support of any body modification, but I do find it curious for many reasons. I can't help but ask myself, have we as a society (I hated typing out that sentence) normalized changing key aspects about ourselves to make ourself "feel more confident?". I remember when I got my breast reduction, I knew I needed to get it done for medical purposes, but I was more focused in on the physical appearance of how my boobs would sit afterwards. I constantly compare myself to other people...especially when I'm doom scrolling on TikTok. I pose the question: Is surgery enough to fully view ourselves in the light we deserve? Is cosmetic surgery just a band aid of how we truly view ourselves? If celebs get work done, do they owe us that explanation? Is enhancing our face, tummy, back, butt, arms, teeth, etc. healing us? I have no clue. This is such a complex topic. So many questions, so few answers. 

The absolute chokehold that trends have on society is mind blowing to me...and sometimes without us even realizing it. Whether it be ballet flats, latest TikTok sounds, audio erotica, the color red, and so on and so forth, these movements have become such a backbone in our culture. I always pride myself on staying on top of most trends that are going on, but as I start to hyper-analyze myself, I began to wonder why I care so much? Why do I base so much of my self worth on what keeps me relevant? I looked at the psychology behind why we, as young people, are so hooked on staying up to date on trends and what's going on in fashion and society. I feel like we are so hooked on trying to be the coolest and trendiest version of ourselves, when we should just focus on simply being ourselves. What trend has you on a chokehold?

Since a kid, I've been fascinated with the idea that our 20s HAVE to be the best years of our lives. From my parents telling me to "enjoy the time while you can" or society painting this picture-perfect notion that this is our prime, I can't help but be bitter about it all. If my mid 20's are the best years of my life, then that scares the living shit out of me. Your mid 20's is an uphill battle. The Trenches. A beautiful storm. The constant pressure of fitting into this mold that the world has created for us is making me really frustrated. Maybe it's just me. But in the case that it's not, you're not alone. Oh, and then when I was drunk one night in Lebanon this summer I wrote on my notes app a list of rules at my funeral?? Don't get too excited though, I'm living till I'm 100.
