Its a tough place to surf but you learn a lot about the technique of surfing and also how to be uncomfortable and nervous, and to overcome this to get the rewards at the end. Its not an inexpensive experience but is well worth the effort and my surfing has improved because of this experience.

George talks about the way he uses mind tricks to help him get distracted and pass time more quickly during his long planks. He's an ex Marine and DEA agent with a tendency to want to test the rules and make life a little more interesting. We finish off with a quick chat about COVID, the vaccines and of course TRUMP.

    Heart Attacks: Nigel Ieraci was lucky to survive

    An inspiring chat with Nige about the big challenges he has faced over the past 5 or 6 years and particularly how even the doctors are amazed he wasn't killed by the heart attack he endured, which included a full blockage of the LAD (widow maker). We talk about his divorce, his kids, the new love of his life and how none of these setbacks have stopped him from competing in Ironman triathlons with the long term goal still, of doing the iconic Hawaiian Ironman. Previous guest on the podcast, Matt White described Nige as one of the nicest guys you could meet, which I can confirm after our friendly and open chat. He rocked up to my beautiful Kombi "Ruby" and greeted me with a beaming smile and a warm handshake and this continued with a really open and warmly genuine kombisation.

    HAWAIIN IRONMAN - Mark Kirtland

    MASTERS OF CHANGE 28 * 16th APRIL 2024 Mark "Kirts" Kirtland joins me this week for my first official podcast conversation in Ruby, my adorable 1974 Kombi. We sat in Ruby at the beach here in South Australia, with the wind and waves in the background, and chatted for over an hour about Mark's incredible resilience and determination to overcome many health issues and injuries and achieve sporting and business success, but most importantly maintaining family balance. Kirts is a highly organised and driven man, and believes much of his success is due to good planning and a high level of resilience. I delve deep into this side of Kirts and he very genuinely and openly talks about is health issues as well as the amazing change to his life when he was reunited with his son.

    MASTERS OF CHANGE 27 * 9th FEBRUARY 2024 Animal Doctor, Mountaineer, Waterman, Bagaule, Ironman: Brendan Batt is the latest guest on the podcast and he really is one of the most adventurous and passionate guest to have a chat on the Masters of Change podcast. We dive deep and talk about his heart attack that began at the start of his first ever triathlon, The Texas Ironman. His recovery has been astounding and proves that all heart attack experienced people can get back to full power and get back to setting their high goals and continue their passionate driven lifestyle. He lives in New Orleans and loves to go deep dive fishing, he surfs, he loves high altitude climbing and it seems his thirst for adventure is limitless.

    Heart Attacks: Wayne's Quadruple Bypass

    MASTERS OF CHANGE 26 * 27th NOVEMBER 2023 This week I chat to a lifelong friend of mine, Wayne Copley, about the lead up to his Quadruple bypass. Wayne is extremely honest about how he blissfully and stoically ignored the numerous warning signs that a possible heart attack was only around the corner. We discuss these signs and delve further into Wayne's belief that perhaps he was destined to have this happen due to genetics and that maybe there was no way to avoid it. Wayne is an extremely lucky man, and could have died at anytime during a 4 week period where, in my opinion, he was literally flouting with death. If things had progressed any further, whilst he was on an aeroplane to Darwin, in the car on a trip to Mildura or whilst playing cricket, Wayne would not be here to tell his story.

    Heart Attacks : Pete's Cardiac Arrest - PART 1

    MASTERS OF CHANGE 25 * 7th NOVEMBER 2023 A very special chat with Sprint Paramedic Corinna Koch, she lead the team that saved my life from a major cardiac arrest. This is about the real battle with death, after having my heart stop and being brought back to life, to then face the battle to get to hospital to have life saving surgery. In the back of the ambulance, clinging to life, I knew I was in trouble , and perhaps at best was a 50/50 chance of surviving this major attack that literally came from no where. I was counting the seconds and savouring every laboured shallow breath, two strong thoughts kept me in this game of life. Firstly, I had NO REGRETS, secondly , I want to keep living this way for another 20 or 30 years. Todays podcast with this amazing person who saved my life, details this confronting experience I had and my battle and desire to live, to not only live but to continue my journey to become the person Im meant to be and to live life to the fullest.

    5minMonday 031 - Pete's 12 HOUR WALK

    A really rewarding day, sorry for the 10 minute 5min Monday but I wanted you to actually hear the audio recordings I did throughout the day. Other than that, no phone usage, phone on Airplane mode, no music or podcasts, entirely on my own with no agenda. I went through the whole cycle of excitement, negativity, acceptance, calmness, chlllness, getting into the "zone", and a sense of achievement. 12 hours later and 60 kms I became so relaxed and had such a feeling of clarity.

    Dr Graham Lyons

    Dr Graham Lyons spent most of his early years working hard on the family farm learning all there is to know about managing cattle and how to successfully manage a farm. Not wanting to settle for too long he decided to travel the world for over two years, giving him a wealth of experience, knowledge and fascinating stories that left me wanting to hear more. Later in life he had an incredible desire to change his life and decided to go to university and work towards a PHD and put his intellect and determination to good use. His incredible desire to learn and to get to the bottom of things not only enabled him to become a doctor but also assisted him in becoming extremely educated in the COVID world and an expert about the truth of whats been happening over the past couple of years. Hes done hes research, hes highly educated, highly driven and inspired to help get to the bottom of this craziness we have been exposed to over this period. Furthermore, hes a wonderful story teller and one of the most interesting and entertaining people Ive ever met.
