Peter denied Jesus three times beside a charcoal fire. The next time John mentions a charcoal fire, the risen Jesus is standing beside one, cooking him breakfast.In this message from John 21:1–19, the final week of the A Place at the Table series, Pastor Allen Cason walks through the morning Jesus meets Peter and the disciples back on the Sea of Galilee, fishing again after the resurrection because they don't know what else to do. Jesus doesn't wait for them to get their lives back together. He builds a fire, feeds them breakfast, and then asks Peter the same question three times: “Do you love me?”, undoing each of Peter's three denials and recommissioning him with the words, “Feed my sheep.”This message traces the phrase “charcoal fire,” which John uses only twice in his Gospel: once in the courtyard where Peter denied Christ, and once on this beach where Christ restores him. Jesus is asked why His disciples do not fast. In His response, we learn why the Church still fasts today.

Pastor begins our Lent series, "Holy Hunger," focused on fasting.

Pastor Allen continues our Lenten series, "Holy Hunger." We look at Jesus being tempted by the devil in the wilderness.

Have you ever felt like you didn't make the cut? Like you weren't good enough to be chosen?Jesus walked up to four fishermen who had been passed over by other rabbis and said, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." In that one invitation, we see four powerful calls that Christ places on every one of us: salvation, lordship, formation, and multiplication.

Pastor Allen looks at the early church and how they give us a picture of what looks like to be the church. They also show us what our Core Values look like: Christ-Centered, Prayerfully Spirit-Led, Authentic Family, Wesleyan Focused, and Radically Generous.

Pastor Allen looks at what means to "be on mission for Jesus." We look at how every Christ follower is called to make disciples.

Pastor Allen looks at what Paul says about living in the Spirt vs acting in the flesh. As disciples of Jesus, we have to walk with the Spirit daily.

To understand Jesus and the disciples sharing the Last Supper, we have to understand the Passover. Pastor Allen walks thru what the Passover meant and why it is important for Christians today.

Jesus is anointed by an unnamed woman in Bethany. And says that this story should be told whenever the Gospel is preached. What does that mean for us? What does that say about the Gospel?

Pastor Allen looks at Mark 13 and Jesus' prediction of the destruction of the Temple and His 2nd coming, and how we are stay prepared!

Jesus teaches on the Tuesday of Holy Week in the Temple Courts. He observes both the teachers of the law as well as a widow giving her temple offering.

Jesus answers the question about which commandment is the most important.

Jesus handles more questions, this time from the Sadducees.

"Whose image is on you? 🤔Jesus reminds us that while we may owe taxes to earthly authorities, we owe our entire selves to God. We are created in His image, designed to resemble and represent Him in this world.Give to Caesar what is Caesar's, but more importantly, give to God what is God's – YOU! 🙌How are you offering yourself as a living sacrifice today? Remember, we can't do this alone. We need community to truly reflect God's love.

Pastor Thad ask us to think about who has real authority in our life?

As we look at Jesus overturning the tables at the temple and cursing a fig tree, we see how God desires to see fruit in us. God invites us to get rid of whatever is in our lives that is keeping us from producing good fruit.

We look at Jesus' kingly entry into Jerusalem.

Author and Podcaster, Tony Miltenberger, shares how God's greatest gift to us is on the other side of our wound. When we give God our wounds, we are then able to truly be a "new creation" and "ambassadors of Christ."
