Tenth Sunday in Ordinary Time. Making the right sacrifice: your will. Know God and love. Have the courage to be who you were made to be. You'll be happier. Truth works.

Ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time. Laws. The spirit versus the letter of the law. Using the rules to try to win the game as opposed to actually listening to God. And then doing what you're told. It's not usually easy, but playing the game from either side won't work.

Corpus Christi. The Body and Blood of Christ. Eating bread, and making one body. Let's make some bread, and share it. Rather than feeding on each other. I'm going to go out and get some yeast. Beer is also made from grain and yeast.

Trinity Sunday. We explain the Trinity in two minutes. Holy kisses. Baseball signs. Getting God on your team. (I guess I really do need to use that wind screen...)

Pentecost. Also Mother's Day. The Holy Spirit gives you gifts (like your mother), and pushes you to succeed. Tongues of fire, speaking in tongues, xenoglossia, other. Getting out of your room and being the Church with everyone. Administrative refereeing.

Ascension of the Lord. Talk about horses in honor of the Derby. Dealing with the roller coaster ride that is life with the Holy Spirit. Taking the leap towards unity. Or not. Physical and/or spiritual evolution.

Sixth Sunday of Easter. Joy and the Holy Spirit. Get some joy. Not the same as stuff, or pleasure. Some rambling about the Pope. Dave is not happy with the New Yorker. Foosball planning.

Fifth Sunday of Easter. We took a week off. Deacons; they should be serving me lunch. Cheerleading pyramids. Plenty of room in heaven. The Pope is in town!

Third Sunday of Easter. Not recognizing Jesus. Treating people with respect. The eleven. Jokes in the scriptures. Getting the twelve back, with jokes. Paying ransom to therapists.

Second Sunday of Easter. Doors are locked, maybe some will open. Doubting things. Suffering and rejoicing. Eating with exultation. Exploding water. In communes.

Easter Sunday. Alleluia. Dave sings way too much in this show. He is unreasonably optimistic. The yeast permeates the dough and the beer. We also say Heilsgeschichte several times.

Palm Sunday. 30% more random than usual. St. Joseph and St. Patrick being usurped by Holy Week. Fulfilling your destiny even if you don't want to do it. Embracing things. Anticipating new life, but first, death in the tomb.

Fifth Sunday in Lent. The living dead. We're mostly there, we need to do something about that. Bringing life back into our lives, trying to emerge from the culture of death. If you're going to be a zombie, let God give the orders.

Fourth Sunday in Lent. Dave is in San Francisco. Spirits rush upon him (while he's laying in bed). How do you know anything? You usually don't. Fruitless works of darkness, and political posturing (possibly the same thing). Hills.

Third Sunday in Lent. Lent is moving along really well. The woman at the well; physical sustenance versus spiritual. Jesus doesn't pay any attention to social rules. And then there's money. This is like us talking about sex: we don't have any experience with this either. But we talk about it anyway. Ad nauseum. The worst ending ever.

Second Sunday in Lent. So this week we talk about sex and religion, prompted by the recent Valentine's Day holiday. We probably don't know what we're talking about, but we talk about it anyway. Some talk about lust, some about romance. Which is more honest? Honesty is important.

First Sunday in Lent. Not so much talk about sex, but we talk too much about politics and religion, prompted by the recent Super Tuesday (also Mardi Gras). How politicians manipulate people's religious feelings, and their political platforms to conform. We wander into separation of church and state. A lot of temptations.

Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time. But we don't really care. So we talk about the movie "Groundhog Day", since it was yesterday. It's not quite Lent, but we seem to be suffering early. We talk a little bit about The Presentation, since it's the same day. There may be some sacrilege here.

Second Sunday in Ordinary Time. Beginnings. Lighting up the world. Your quantum in the beam of light. What should you really be doing other than, obviously, driving a Jag? Operating within the framework that you live in, and maybe avoiding all the shiny objects, but what you do where you are may affect a larger sphere than you intended.

The Baptism of The Lord. Time to change the world. Being chosen: it's not always the obvious choice (it could be you!). The established hierarchy is always moving. Things don't usually work out the way you planned. So you just need to go where you were headed anyway. You may need to invoke a little faith. And try not to medicate everything; it will stunt your growth.

Feast of the Holy Family. Dave is at the beach (sort of). Joseph doesn't get the recognition that he deserves. But then, he's the father. Attempting to avoid family disasters. That's what the father does. Dave does his part for show 69. Easing into the new year.

Fourth Sunday in Advent. The David readings. Missing the signs because of all the advertising. Joseph actually pays attention to God's voice. Can you hear it? Probably not. Lose some of the noise.

Third Sunday in Advent. Gaudete Sunday. The desert is about to bloom: Rejoice! Those thunderstorms that you're seeing may soon bring you flowers. It could rain any day. The end of bad things is a good thing.

Second Sunday in Advent. This show may be 30% more random than usual. Advertising for the Parousia. Seems like a tough sell. Suffering through Catholic services versus Protestant ones. And where are the babes? More false advertising. Just ice.

First Sunday in Advent. It's a new year, and we're still waiting. Sure we need to be prepared and stay awake, but can I take a nap? I'm tired. Spreading the Kingdom, but first you need to have it.

Thirty-third Sunday in Ordinary Time. Some crap about the end times. What do you do when you're waiting for it, but it doesn't come? Difficult as it is to conceive of, this may be more random than usual. (Hey, the recording almost sounds decent!)

Thirty-second Sunday in Ordinary Time. Giving up everything in this life for some nebulous promise in the next. Torturing people for eating pork, or other random political things. How stupid is that? Dave wants to forgive his tormentors. Rainer wants them to go to hell. Do what you're doing well. That's it. (Aaaarrrrgghhh!!! I hate noise.)

Thirty-first Sunday in Ordinary Time. Finding God in everything, and trying to act like it. Hunger for something beyond what our culture offers. Being converted by your encounter with Jesus. If you really see God in others, your actions may well need to change. (Yet more sound games. One day we'll get it...)

Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time. Unexpected things in life, and trying to deal with them. Prayer and discernment, neither of which we're good at. Why do things happen when they do? Sincere prayer versus eloquence. (More sound games.)

Twenty-eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time. Gratitude in the face of evil, or at least not what I want. Accepting what God is giving us every day. And thanking Him for it. (Hmmm. Different sound issues.)

Twenty-seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time. Fortitude is the only explanation for how we're doing this today. Faith? Service with no reward. It's going to be so much better next time. (Random sound issues.)

Twenty-sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time. Bridging the great divide. Wanting some positive feedback now; good luck with that. Empathy, without doormatness. (We have different noise now in an attempt to fix it; this is probably worse. But it is different. It would be good to get some fidelity back too.)

Twenty-fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time. Mammon, mommon, mommog; not a long code path. Greed and dishonesty and love of power. Don't steal from the poor, but maybe it's okay from the rich. (We know what the noise is!! Now to fix it...)

Twenty-fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time. God's mercy and forgiveness, and our repentance; it's a matched set. Seeking the lost. Being lost might be a better job: you get the party. Metanoia: being different after repentance. (I don't think we lost the noise yet...)

Twenty-third Sunday in Ordinary Time. Signing up for God's will; you'll usually be surprised. Giving up everything you're relying on -- seems a little radical. Making the commitment in a big way. Then... it's a roller coaster ride. Annulment anyone? Blueprints.

Twenty-second Sunday in Ordinary Time. Being humble enough to give service, without relinquishing your self-worth. Using humility to get some kudos -- now we're talking.

Twenty-first Sunday in Ordinary Time. Discipline is good, but we don't like it. Trying to get your green Hummer down the narrow path. Excess as the result of the perversion of our deepest wants and needs. To love is probably a better answer than to be loved.

Twentieth Sunday in Ordinary Time. Being a prophet: it's not popular. Change versus the system, preservation opposed to progress; not really peaceful. Truth or peacekeeping in relationships.

Nineteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time. Perseverance in the face of adversity. You look stupid. Getting beaten because you know more. New segment, topic of the day: monogamy.

Eighteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time. Greed and vanity. Dave thinks he knows what matters to God. Rainer is just crabby. How do you know if you are winning? More questions than answers. Materialism.
