Mission of Divine Mercy

...like Peter, overwhelmed by the storm and waves.  We are losing control, overcome by fear.  What to do?

Those who are aware of the poison in the church today may be anxious about how we will survive this trial.  Jesus' miraculous feeding of the multitude enlightens us.

Solomon feels overwhelmed by decisions and responsibilities. We can experience that also today, especially with all the confusion in the Church. But the reading today shows us a divine opportunity for a hidden treasure: a listening heart.

Distractions, fatigue, anxieties, boredom, dryness… We are human, and prayer can seem too hard. Inaccessible. St. Paul acknowledges our weakness and incapacity to pray. And reveals a simple, encouraging way of letting the Holy Spirit Himself pray within us.

Jesus compares us to the earth. Poor, humble dirt. Seemingly worthless… But if it receives the Divine Seed and welcomes the rain from heaven, a new life can begin. A life with divine potential.

For our  minds. For our hearts. For our souls. Rest in God. It is hard to  find true, deep rest. What is the path that leads there?  We share a message given to our community about what leads to this rest.

There is a surprising message that we may miss in today's Gospel. It illuminates precisely the challenge that we are facing today. "Whoever receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet's reward." What are the simple, strong truths in this passage?t on what the Mission of Divine Mercy is experiencing?

"I have become an outcast," says the Psalm. Cast out. How do today's readings shed light on what the Mission of Divine Mercy is experiencing?

"PRAY therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest." Each of us is called to help the great "harvest" of saving souls. But each in the particular way that God is calling him. Prayer leads us on this path.

The Feast of Corpus Christi. The Lord invites us to silence, to adoration in the presence of the Sacred Mysteries. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

Life is complicated. But God is simple. Our hearts long for this. The Holy Trinity is the simple, immense love that we were made for.

This poem of Saint John of the Cross expresses the mystical union of the soul with the Holy Spirit, who appeared as fire at Pentecost. This shows the path for the renewal of the Church.

Jesus was leaving to ascend in glory. Yet at the same time, He promised, "I will be with you always." In the great trials of the Church today, more than ever, He wants us to know that He Himself is the Head of the Church. He will never abandon her.

At the Last Supper, Jesus encourages His apostles to not give in to fear.  He offers them His peace.  And He promises His Holy Spirit.  We share a message from the Holy Spirit inviting us to give Him our greatest fear.

Jesus' words at the Last Supper are a glimpse into a mystery running throughout scripture:  our Lord loves His people, His Church as His Bride.  

Three practical, powerful lessons from today's Gospel to guide us through the dangers of today to abundant life.

Two disciples returning to Emmaus, shaken and downcast over what has just happened to Jesus and the Church.  Then they meet a mysterious stranger…

Our times are dark and difficult.  But God has plans of immense mercy for us.  We return to a message teaching about His mercy for today.

The Renewal of the Church.  The Church, the Mystical Bride of Jesus, shares His passion.  We are living this today.  But she will also share in a new and powerful way in the triumph of His resurrection.  The prophecy of Isaiah 54 sings this joyful hope.

In the great darkness, the terrible storm that the Church  is entering, the Lord has prepared for us a blessed refuge:  the refuge that Jesus offered John and  His disciples as He was dying:  our Blessed Mother and her Immaculate Heart.

God announced to the Israelites His intervention to save them from oppression. This prepared the even greater mystery that Jesus is calling us to. We share a message about the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
