Moon to Moon

Moon to Moon is a podcast created by intuitive guide, Britten LaRue. Moon to Moon is a space to consider, celebrate, and share the ways we come home to ourselves, anchor through change, and uncover our power -- one month, one phase, one loving step at a time. Though the podcast focuses on healing and learning through the lens of Britten's primary interests in astrology, visual culture, tarot, energy healing, meditation, and intuition, the podcast welcomes all modalities and forms of experience that help us de-program from unhelpful conditioning and remember who we are.

    252. In Her Absence: Venus Retrogrades with Amiya Alexandra of Resonance Astrology

In this episode, Britten is joined by Amiya Alexandra of Resonance Astrology to talk about the upcoming Venus retrograde. They begin with the basics of the retrograde itself, then move into relationships, intimacy, jealousy, endings, and what it can mean to consciously engage with Venus rather than treating a retrograde as something that is simply happening to us. Topics They Cover: The basics of Venus retrograde, including the pre- and post-shadow periods, the 18-month cycle, and why retrogrades aren't necessarily bad. Venus as the glue of the zodiac and an opportunity to reassess the relationships in our lives, including our relationships with ourselves, pleasure, health, spirit, and the people around us. The 8-year Venus cycle and what looking back at the last Venus retrograde in Libra and Scorpio can reveal. The Libra and Scorpio themes of intimacy, boundaries versus walls, obsession, possession, jealousy, and the unmet needs underneath them. Personal stories of Venus retrogrades, including relationship conflict and repair, changing self-presentation, returning collaborators, and the grief that can come with endings. Ways to consciously work with Venus through altars, ritual, the Orphic Hymn, and building a relationship with Venus rather than simply waiting for her to do something for us. Amiya describes herself as a relational astrologer, specifically in relationship to the planets. For her, the invitation is to engage with Venus, especially during her absence, and come out of the retrograde in an empowered state.   About Amiya: Amiya Alexandra is an astrologer and former psychiatric nurse whose work blends Traditional Hellenistic with Modern Psychological Astrology.  Through Resonance Astrology, she translates the language of the stars into lived and embodied experience, exploring how we can develop meaningful relationships with the planets and their cycles.  Her work invites us to move beyond simply interpreting a chart and instead encounter its symbolism as something we can experience, relate to and live. 251. Jupiter Meets Saturn: The Syllabus Is The Chrysalis

In this episode, Britten introduces her next Mystics Making Money teaching, The Syllabus Is the Chrysalis. She explores the syllabus as a magical structure that can hold a learning and experiential journey, bringing the expansive and the imaginal into elegant containment so that transformation can happen. Topics She Covers: The heart of Mystics Making Money and what it means to bring your magical craft, intuitive gifts, creative service, and leadership into the marketplace. Jupiter and Saturn as a helpful conversation between expansion and structure, and what happens when we bring those two principles together. The syllabus as the chrysalis for transformation, including the imaginal cells, resistance, and the process of letting parts of who you've been fall away so something new can emerge. The syllabus as both an itinerary through time and a structure for the space itself: the boundaries, agreements, expectations, and "rules of the game" that help hold an experience. Bringing the expansive into elegant containment, and how a strong container allows the participant to have their transformation without the guide getting in the way. Creating beautiful systems that organize your genius, support scaling, and allow your work to keep moving through the world even when you are not actively delivering it. Britten explores the possibility of maximum expansiveness and maximum structure at the same time, without either one diminishing the magic. For her, this is the playground: creating experiences that are fun, transformational, and deeply impactful.   Learn More: Britten invites listeners to join her in the sixth installment of Mystics Making Money: The Syllabus Is The Chrysalis starting September 11. 250. Are you willing to change?: A Full Moon Eclipse Tarot Reading

In this episode, Britten records a collective reading, feeling called to pull cards for the Pisces eclipse. She begins with reflections on eclipse windows, Virgo-Pisces, refinement versus perfectionism, motherhood, and the practice of listening without projecting shame into the relationship. Topics She Covers: The Pisces eclipse in Virgo season, and eclipse windows as times when everything can feel dilated, collective, personal, full of grief and wonder. The Virgo-Pisces polarity, including the pleasures of refinement, process, editing, preparation, preservation, care, and discernment. Motherhood, witnessing her daughter's young adulthood, and how unshaming helps Britten listen without going into a shame spiral. The 10 of Wands and Five of Pentacles as "don't like" phases connected to scarcity, strain, hypervigilance, burnout, and endless efforting. The King of Wands, Six of Swords, The Hermit, and Strength as invitations to hold your pose, travel from one way of being to another, listen one step at a time, and expand your capacity for the vulnerability of aliveness. The overseer cards as teachers on belonging, aliveness, the Emergent No, alchemy, voice, shame, and the agency we have in our willingness to change. Through this Pisces eclipse reading, Britten returns again and again to willingness: the agency we have in agreeing to change, updating old worldviews, and giving ourselves the generosity to always be learning how to be here.   +++ E M E R G E N C E  A S T R O L O G Y https://brittenlarue.com/ Instagram: @brittenlarue Order Living Astrology Join my newsletter here Check out my new podcast CRYSTAL BALLERS on Spotify, Podbean, and Apple. 249. Embracing the Malefics in Leadership: A Dark Moon Download

In this Dark Moon Download, Britten speaks from the dark moon in Cancer as the Moon moves toward her chart ruler, Mars in Cancer, and as she approaches her Mars return. What comes through is a meditation on power, leadership, and the malefics: Mars, Saturn, and the Sun. Topics She Covers: Why confronting our own power can feel complicated, especially when we are committed to not harming others with it. Mars as the high sensation of truth, and the part of us that cuts through masks, pretenses, and the fear of being too honest. Saturn as the container for time, focus, pressure, responsibility, and bringing a vision down to Earth. The Sun as visibility, generosity from the heart, and the practice of sharing what you love without promoting from resentment or shame. The difference between loving boundaries and walls around the heart. The alchemy of Ablaze as a process of breaking down and building back up into a more potent version of yourself. The investment we make when we give ourselves the coin for the ferryman and say yes to our own leap of trust. Through the malefics, Britten explores the kind of leadership that can stay honest, heart-led, and boundaried while learning how to hold power, pressure, visibility, and the work we are here to steward.   Learn More: ABLAZE is a high intensity group initiation space for big-hearted leaders craving to distill, embody, and amplify their most authentic voice. 248. Jupiter in Leo, 6 of Wands, & Voice as Offering

Content Warning: At 01:05:00, there's a brief discussion of the death of writer-creator Carolyn Elliott, who recently took her own life. Please take care of yourself and skip if needed. In this episode, Britten returns to Moon to Moon after a stretch of travel, beginning to gather what has been moving through her as August opens and eclipse season approaches. At the center of this episode is Leo: the Sun, Jupiter in Leo, the Six of Wands, and the question of what it means to trust yourself enough to share your offering. Topics They Cover: Ablaze returning for a second round as a small mentorship space for people moving through a threshold in their creative, business, or leadership path. Jupiter in Leo, the Six of Wands, and trust as the practice of letting yourself be seen without needing everyone to stay. Britten's time at Pagan Camp in Scotland, and the campfire moment that helped her understand song and story as what you have to offer   Leo as the way of the Sun, and the shame that can gather around sharing our light, presence, and beingness with others. The movement from the Five of Wands to the Six of Wands, and then into the endurance and fading that can come with the Seven of Wands. Carolyn Elliott's death, the impact of her teachings on Britten's work, and the complexity of revering a teacher while also needing to leave their community. Leadership, repair, and the need for leaders who can stay with themselves while listening with an open heart. The Odyssey, coming home, and the long, circuitous path of returning to ourselves. Through Leo, tarot, travel, grief, and the return to her work, Britten reflects on what it means to offer your song to the circle and trust that there are people who want to warm their hands by that fire.   Learn More: ABLAZE is a high intensity group initiation space for big-hearted leaders craving to distill, embody, and amplify their most authentic voice. 247. Hilma af Klint, Leonora Carrington, & We the Future Audience with Mariola Rosario

In this episode, Britten is joined once again by Mariola Rosario for a conversation on channeled art, art history, mysticism, and the exciting timing of two major Paris exhibitions devoted to Hilma af Klint and Leonora Carrington.  Topics They Cover: Mariola's early relationship with art, magical realism, the Caribbean, and the figure of the artist as someone who can conjure new realities. Britten's path through art history, grief, Paris, Symbolist art, atomic science, and the study of what cannot be seen with the naked eye. Hilma af Klint, the 2018 Guggenheim retrospective, and the "aperture" that seems to have opened around channeled artists and women whose work has long been omitted or minimized. The role of spirit guides, collaboration, and unseen forces in Hilma's work, including the way her paintings are now being described with more respect for the mystical context they came through. Leonora Carrington, surrealism, exile, the psychic world, and the women artists who were often placed at the margins of movements they helped shape. Mariola's upcoming Leo season class on self-portraiture, authorship, symbols, and the solar invitation to put the self onto the page. At the center of the conversation is the sense that we are in a moment of aperture: an opening that allows us to receive these artists so fully. Britten and Mariola speak to the hunger to know these women and their work, the importance of asking what has been omitted, and the creative partnerships that happen with both real humans and the invisible forces moving through the channel.   Join Us In Paris: Britten LaRue and Mariola Rosario invite you to an in-person gathering in Paris. Moment of Aperture: On channeled art and gnosis with Leonora Carrington and Hilma af Klint. We're thrilled you are able to join us on Sunday, July 19, from 11:30-1 (please note the time change from what is named in the episode). The first part of our meetup will be a discussion. She explores visual and material culture in relation to terrestrial and celestial practices and mythologies, tracing how images, objects, and language shape cultural memory, origins, and political imaginaries. She is currently launching Studio Solar, a creative research studio dedicated to seasonal astrological inquiry through art, symbols, and visual culture. Its first offering, Inventing the Self: Self-Portraiture & Solar Mythic Imagination with Leonor Fini & Leonora Carrington, begins on July 22 as a three-part course held during Leo season that draws on the work of Fini and Carrington as a starting point for conversations on 'the solar', self-portraiture, personal mythology, artistic practice, art making, and the creative imagination. Mariola writes on Substack at Las Flores del Mar, where she shares reflections on myth, art, monstrosity, astrology, politics, and the magic of language. Paid subscribers are also invited to join the Radical Book Club for Underworld Readers, a lively and generative collective devoted to reading critical texts together.  On most days, she can be found wandering the streets of Paris, following images and stories wherever they lead.... convinced that walking is one of the oldest forms of research. 246. I've got chicken feet and horns growing out of my head

In this episode, Britten shares her funky take on mysticism and the kind of mystic she is here to invite listeners into becoming. Britten expands the usual definition of a mystic, opening up mysticism to include the body, desire, voice, money, pleasure, ritual, and the deeply human practice of giving yourself permission. Topics She Covers: Britten's hermitage after divorce, when astrology, tarot, ritual, intuition, and her erotic awakening all opened at the same time. Mysticism as something embodied and earthly, rather than a high-vibe movement away from being human. The connection between her mystical life, erotic life, and entrepreneurial path. The importance of validating your own magic instead of looking to a teacher to confirm it for you. Why transformation needs a container, and why a podcast can offer information but cannot hold the same kind of magic as a committed space. Hybridity, shapeshifting, surrender, and becoming more of the strange, contradictory, multidimensional creature you already are. This episode is an exploration of what happens when we agree to our own transformation and stop waiting for outside permission to become as magical, strange, powerful, and alive as we actually are. The Emergence Astrology Pathway begins with a Hermitage, where you discover how hybrid you are. Where you invite yourself to get pregnant with an Emergent You. Where you let in the mysteries of the "That Side" of astrology.   Join Britten Inside of the Emergence Astrology Pathway DOORS CLOSE TUESDAY NIGHT, JUNE 30! 245. Self-Abandonment & the Twelfth House

In this episode, Britten closes her series on self-abandonment through the houses of the birth chart, turning toward the Twelfth House. She explores the Twelfth House as a place where self-abandonment can happen when we refuse to take space for ourselves, shame the need to step away from ordinary time, or become enmeshed with someone else's way of coping with being here. The Emergence Astrology Pathway begins with a 9-month Hermitage so you can take some fucking space for yourself. The experience is one that will connect you to the longings and the wisdom of your 12th House Self.  Topics She Covers: The Twelfth House as the finale of this series, and as the house of Britten's Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Persephone in Pisces. Britten's relationship to promotion, voice, and the assignment she feels to get her teachings to those they are meant for. The question, "What are you looking for in astrology?" and why Emergence Astrology is more interested in expansive questions rather than fixed answers. The houses as spaces of self-healing, where we can recognize and begin clearing patterns of self-abandonment. The Twelfth House as self-undoing, solitude, retreats, hospitals, prisons, sleep, dreams, altered states, and the places that take us out of the day-to-day of life. Taking space for yourself as one of the most powerful ways to not self-abandon in the Twelfth House. The shame Twelfth House people can carry when their nature draws them away from behaviors that overculture applauds. Ritual devotion as a way to understand your Fourth, Eighth, and Twelfth Houses, and as a practice for receiving your own gnosis. Whether you have placements there or not, you have a 12th House, and you have not been encouraged by Overculture to go spend time there. You were told it's a waste of time, that it's unproductive, that it will un-do you. These lies stop now.     Through the lens of the Twelfth House, this episode explores what becomes possible when we make time outside of the schedule and let ritual become a doorway for receiving the information that wants to come through.   Join Britten Inside of the Emergence Astrology Pathway This is not a traditional astrology course. 244. Self-Abandonment & the Eleventh House

In this episode, Britten continues her series on self-abandonment through the houses of the birth chart, turning toward the Eleventh House. She explores the Eleventh House as a place where self-abandonment can happen when we stop trusting that our voice, hopes, dreams, weirdness, or heart-led vision for the world can be received, constellated around, and shared with others. Topics She Covers: Cancer season, the Moon, and why The Emergence Astrology Pathway begins with Cancer on purpose. The way Cancer invites us to leave home in order to come more fully home to ourselves. The Moon as the first voice that claimed Britten and invited her to come home, listen to herself, and name the no that would change her life. Astrology as a home inside the self, a living and responsive system that's a part of the interconnectedness of all things, and a way of building a place where it becomes safe to emerge. The Eleventh House as the house of good spirit, community, networks, patrons, groups, and those we constellate around us through shared hopes and dreams for the world. Self-abandonment in the Eleventh House as giving up on humans, magic, imagination, or the possibility of finding the people who want to build the world with us. Through the lens of the Eleventh House, this episode explores the restoration of wonder, pleasure, delight, and trust in people, and the possibility of singing the song of your Eleventh House spirit even before you know who will hear it.   Join Britten Inside of the Emergence Astrology Pathway This is not a traditional astrology course. 243. Self-Abandonment & the Tenth House

In this episode, Britten continues her series on self-abandonment through the houses of the birth chart, turning toward the Tenth House. She explores the Tenth House as a place where self-abandonment can happen when we become entangled with caregiver strivings, overculture's templates for success, or the pressure to be known, recognized, and received in a certain way. Topics She Covers: The Emergence Astrology Pathway as a long container, a hermitage, and a structure for surrendering to time, personal gnosis, and what emerges through commitment. The Moon as the place that holds our stories of safety, belonging, emotional security, and the need to be held. The Tenth House as public reputation, public role, what we are known for, and what we bring out into the world. Self-abandonment in the Tenth House as getting hooked into caregiver strivings, overculture's ideas of success, achievement, performance, and who we think we have to be. The paradox of clearing old templates around success while still honoring an authentic public call, offering, or life force that wants to move through us. Through the lens of the Tenth House, this episode explores how we begin to separate from inherited strivings, return to our own agency, and tend to the roots that make authentic public contribution possible.   Join Britten Inside of the Emergence Astrology Pathway This is not a traditional astrology course. 242. Self-Abandonment & the Ninth House

In this episode, Britten continues her series on self-abandonment through the houses of the birth chart, turning toward the Ninth House. She explores the Ninth House as a place where self-abandonment can happen when we cede our authority to dogmas, teachers, books, spiritual leaders, or inherited beliefs that keep us from trusting our direct relationship with the divine. Topics She Covers: Self-abandonment as something we often cannot see clearly until we are taught to notice the signals and call it what it is. Britten's early relationship with self-sabotage, the saboteur archetype, and the realization that we may sabotage ourselves because we are terrified of our own empowerment. The Emergent No as the beginning of her mystical, healing, entrepreneurial, and erotic path. The Chariot, congruence, and the way unconscious parts of us can pull against what we consciously want. The Ninth House as personal cosmology, belief, worldview, imagination, divinity, teachers, spiritual authority, and the way we project what is possible onto the universe. Self-abandonment in the Ninth House as over-trusting external authorities instead of cultivating sovereignty, personal gnosis, and a direct collaboration with the cosmos. Through the lens of the Ninth House, this episode explores sovereignty, imagination, and the possibility of being held by the universe in a way that helps us move through the world without abandoning ourselves to stay safe with others.     Join Britten Inside of the Emergence Astrology Pathway This is not a traditional astrology course. She explores the Eighth House as a place where self-abandonment can become especially nuanced, because this house asks us to give ourselves into contact with another without losing our own attunement, discernment, or trust in what we know. Topics She Covers: Podcasting as a kind of Eighth House reach into the unknown, where Britten extends her voice into the dark and trusts that someone is there to receive it. Emergence Astrology as a relationship with both "this side" astrology and "that side" astrology: technique, lineage, and the mysteries that come through personal and collective gnosis. Year One of The Emergence Astrology Pathway as an exploration with the Moon, self-attunement, personal gnosis, energy training, intuition, and learning to trust your own voice. The Eighth House as other people's resources, debt, inheritance, therapy, caretaking, surgery, intimacy, and the vulnerability of being supported where we most need help. The question of how to become approachable to what is hidden: in ourselves, in reality, in the universe, and among the gods. Britten's relationship with Matt as an example of surrendering into trust, creating repair over time, and building a new body of evidence that intimacy could hold. Through the lens of the Eighth House, this episode explores surrendering into trust, staying in touch with resonance in the body, and noticing where refusing the high sensation of intimacy may be another way we leave ourselves behind.     Join Britten Inside of the Emergence Astrology Pathway This is not a traditional astrology course. 240. Self-Abandonment & the Seventh House

In this episode, Britten continues her series on self-abandonment through the houses of the birth chart, turning toward the Seventh House. She explores the Seventh House as a place where self-abandonment can happen so easily because our desire for connection, safety, and intimacy can become tangled with fear, projection, old agreements, and the need to be loved or validated. Topics She Covers: The Emergence Astrology Pathway Year One as a slow, deep curriculum for identifying when you are not in yourself and learning to anchor back into your own knowing. Gnosis as your own knowing: the thing no one can take away from you. The Seventh House as one-on-one relationships, including romantic relationships, friendships, partnerships, and the ways we find out who we are through others. Projection, intimacy, trust, boundaries, and the difference between intuition and projection in relationship. Energetic contracts and agreements, including the old relational patterns we may have agreed to when we were younger and the fear that arises when we want to update them. The deep vulnerability of intimacy and the ways we can protect ourselves from being hurt by closing our hearts, projecting fear, or refusing to listen in conflict How difficult it can be to stop self-abandoning in relationship because we cannot control how another person will respond when we grow, change, or update the terms of connection.  Through the lens of the Seventh House, she invites listeners to consider the relational agreements they may still be living inside, the fear that keeps those agreements in place, and the possibility of repair through real-time relationship, deeper self-responsibility, and learning to hold our own emergence without abandoning ourselves.   Join Britten Inside of the Emergence Astrology Pathway This is not a traditional astrology course. 239. Self-Abandonment & the Sixth House

In this episode, Britten continues her series on self-abandonment through the houses of the birth chart, turning toward the Sixth House. She explores the Sixth House as a place where shame often gathers around capacity, productivity, health, organization, and what it means to tend to devotion without policing. Topics She Covers: The momentum of moving through the houses as a framework for attention, immersion, and revelation. Gnosis as the wisdom, truth, insight, and knowing that no one can take away from you. The Emergence Astrology Pathway as a space for cultivating personal and collective gnosis. Self-abandonment as something we have to learn to identify, name, and refuse so we can come back into innocence and bring ourselves home. The Sixth House as a realm of bodies, care, energetic health, daily systems, administrative life, and the commitment to living in a body on planet Earth. How shame can distort our relationship to health, capacity, productivity, care, systems, and the way we tend to what needs our attention. Britten reflects on how difficult it can be to know how to care for ourselves inside systems and cultures that do not prioritize care. She names the shame many of us carry around our bodies, our capacity, our administrative lives, and the day-to-day systems that support our health and ability to function. Through the lens of the Sixth House, she invites listeners to imagine tending to these parts of life without shame as the authority: not from punishment, anti-aging, productivity, or inherited conditioning, but because we are people who turn toward life. This episode is an invitation to decondition the shame of the Sixth House and return to a more loving, clear, and present-time commitment to being here with ourselves, in this body, every day.   Join Britten Inside of the Emergence Astrology Pathway This is not a traditional astrology course. 238. Self-Abandonment & the Fifth House

In this episode, Britten continues her series on self-abandonment through the houses of the birth chart, turning toward the Fifth House. She explores the Fifth House as a place where energy flows into what we love, what we create, what we pour ourselves into, and what carries something of us out into the world. Topics She Covers: The Moon as the beginning of Britten's relationship with mystery, intuition, energy, and lunar cycles. The new Emergence Astrology Pathway Year One curriculum as a return to her lunar teachings, with three strands: lunar transmissions, intuition skills building, and ritual wisdom. The Fifth House as children, hobbies, romance, students, creativity, pleasure, and the generous movement of energy through and beyond us. How self-abandonment shows up when we believe our generative capacity is worthless, unproductive, selfish, or not valuable to ourselves or others. The spiritual consequences of shutting down our creative channel, denying ourselves play, or pouring all of our energy into a job, partner, friend, or relationship that demands everything from us. Britten reflects on the way the Moon first claimed her in 2017 and led her into a life organized around listening, mystery, and creative devotion. From there, she traces how her lunar teachings have evolved over time and why the reimagined Emergence Astrology Pathway is built to move slowly, gently, and deeply. Through the lens of the Fifth House, she invites listeners to notice where they may be withholding their energy, denying their right to pleasure, or believing they have nothing to give. This episode is a call to repair the shame around creativity and to remember that our energy is meant to run, move, pour into something, and be shared.   Join Britten Inside of the Emergence Astrology Pathway This is not a traditional astrology course. 237. Self-Abandonment & the Fourth House

In this episode, Britten continues her series on self-abandonment through the houses of the birth chart, turning toward the Fourth House: a realm of home, lineage, childhood context, caregivers, private life, and the places we come from. She explores the Fourth House as the context of you, encompassing the emotional, energetic, and ancestral field that shaped how you learned to take up space, come home to yourself, and understand what safety feels like. Topics She Covers: The houses as zones of terrestrial human life, where our most pleasurable and painful experiences unfold. Why Emergence Astrology begins with intuition, energy, personal gnosis, and learning to hear yourself before learning astrology. Shame as a context we often don't realize we're seeing through, and unshaming as the practice of removing those lenses. The Fourth House as the childhood home, caregivers, lineage, land, family, and the energetic quality of the place you came from. How individuation asks us to identify and surpass the core strivings of our caregivers so we can reclaim our own foundation. The Fourth House as the place where we learn to build a home within ourselves, cultivate safety, and create a private life that can truly hold us. Britten reflects on how difficult it can be to see the Fourth House clearly because it is often the very context we grew up inside. Until we begin to individuate, or until a major transit wakes this part of the chart up, the Fourth House can feel mysterious or hard to describe. Through the lens of Emergence Astrology as a path of repair, presence, and congruence, she invites listeners to consider how self-abandonment forms inside early contexts and how we can begin to untangle from inherited patterns, come back into our own house, and let the Fourth House become a frame that holds us.   Join Britten Inside of the Emergence Astrology Pathway This is not a traditional astrology course. 236. Self-Abandonment & the Third House

In this episode, Britten continues her series on self-abandonment through the houses of the birth chart, turning toward the Third House: a realm of language, learning, fluency, words, education, siblings, nearby community, and the ways we shape reality through what we say and hear. She explores how self-abandonment can happen through language itself: through shaming educational systems, intimidating spiritual or astrological spaces, comparison, perfectionism, and the fear that something is wrong with us if we do not learn, speak, or understand in the same way as someone else.  Britten reflects on re-recording this episode after realizing the first version carried a subtle striving to prove that she knew what she was doing. From there, she opens into a more honest exploration of self-trust, self-doubt, and the emergent changes happening inside her business ecosystem as she prepares to open the Emergence Astrology Pathway.  Along the way, she shares Caitlin Westcott's reflections on learning astrology as a symbolic language and uses them as a doorway into the Third House: how language develops through immersion, relationship, observation, practice, and lived experience.  Through the lens of Emergence Astrology as a language of repair, recovery, remembering, and renewal, she invites listeners to consider how the words we speak internally and externally create our world, and how staying with ourselves through mutation can become a liberating practice rather than another place to leave ourselves behind.   Join Britten Inside of the Emergence Astrology Pathway This is not a traditional astrology course. 235. Self-Abandonment & the Second House

In this episode, Britten continues her series on self-abandonment through the houses of the birth chart, turning toward the Second House: a realm of livelihood, abundance, resources, and our relationship to what sustains us.  She explores why self-abandonment can feel especially charged here, tracing the ways scarcity, inherited conditioning, and larger oppressive systems shape our beliefs about worth, provision, and what is possible. Returning to themes of innocence and unshaming, she asks listeners to consider how deeply conditioned stories about money and resources can pull us away from trusting ourselves. Britten reflects on her own relationship with financial healing, sharing how recovery, grief, and rebuilding trust in herself became part of reclaiming agency after divorce. Along the way, she explores the Second House as a place where we learn to return to our own house rather than surrender ourselves to someone else's authority or inherited ideas about safety. Through the lens of Emergence Astrology as a path of repair, remembering, renewal, and recovery, she invites listeners into a different possibility: relating to themselves as the well, trusting their own regenerativity, and slowly learning to believe that abundance can move through them rather than live somewhere outside of them.   Join Britten Inside of the Emergence Astrology Pathway This is not a traditional astrology course. 234. Self-Abandonment & the First House

In this episode, Britten begins a new series exploring self-abandonment through the twelve houses of the birth chart, opening with the First House as the realm of arrival, direction, and how we enter the field of life. Returning to themes from her recent reflections on The Matriarchy is Already Here, she traces the relationship between shame, self-trust, and the ways we learn to leave ourselves behind.  Britten's Emergence Astrology sees the language as one of repair, recovery, renewal, and remembering. One that helps reveal where self-abandonment lives and what becomes possible when we choose to stay with ourselves. Britten explores the First House as the helm of the chart: the place connected to action, choice, and the way we steer the boat of our lives. She reflects on self-abandonment as a loss of trust in our own way of moving through the world and asks what it means to remain with ourselves instead. Along the way, she shares why the practice of listening with the Moon has become foundational to the reimagined Emergence Astrology Pathway, her one-to-three year program through the heart of her teachings. Rather than turning away from our own knowing, she invites listeners into a practice of attunement: listening, returning, and learning to trust themselves over time with the reckless freedom they deserve.   Join Britten Inside of the Emergence Astrology Pathway This is not a traditional astrology course. 233. Self-Abandonment in the Field: A Dark Moon Download

In this Dark Moon download, Britten reflects on the closing edge of the lunar cycle that began on April 17 and the themes that have continued surfacing across her work, relationships, and inner life. Returning to the phrase "the matriarchy is already here," she explores the strange experience of finding language for something that was already alive in the body before it could fully be spoken. Through stories from recent conversations, client work, and her own unfolding process, she reflects on what it means to stop abandoning yourself in subtle, everyday ways, and how self-trust deepens through repeated acts of attunement over time. Throughout the episode, Britten weaves together astrology, tarot, shame, and nervous system awareness to examine self-abandonment as both a personal wound and a collective pattern. She speaks about protectiveness, collapsed edges, obedience, and the ways people lose touch with their own authority in order to stay connected, safe, or approved of. Rather than framing healing as perfection, she returns again and again to the practice of staying with yourself. Listening, responding, updating in real time, and allowing your edges to become visible.  This episode ultimately becomes an exploration of repair: how we reclaim authority, rebuild trust with ourselves, and slowly learn to belong to our own lives again.   Mentioned: Scopes Unshamed is Britten LaRue's return to monthly horoscopes—shared by Rising Sign and rooted in astrology as a support technology for time, rather than a prediction machine. 232. The Matriarchy Is Already Here

In this episode, Britten shares the living transmission behind the phrase The Matriarchy Is Already Here. She explains where it came from, how it moved through her in real time, and begins to name what it actually means in the context of her teachings. Not as a future top-down system, but as something already moving from the bottom up, human to human, cycle by cycle, through the practice of staying with ourselves, protecting children, protecting life, and refusing to abandon the future. If you want to experience where this transmission first moved through her in real time, you can watch the original Instagram reel here. Britten also shares a deeply personal story from her 30th high school reunion, an unexpected encounter that became a real-time expression of everything she's been teaching. Through this story, she shows what it looks like to update into present time, stand with younger parts of yourself, and no longer let shame, old projections, or dominator personalities define your story.  This episode is a potent reflection on repair, self-loyalty, and the alchemy of becoming someone who cannot be rattled away from yourself.   Learn More: Britten invites listeners to join her and Matt in the 5th installment of Mystics Making Money: Have You Tried Making It Weirder? in May, a four part workshop series focused on branding as a practice of clarifying and expressing what you do.  We understand branding as a ritual process of updating yourself into present time so that what you share, build, and offer is no longer coming from inherited shame, past identity, or someone else's story about you. We're interested in helping you remove the lag between who you are becoming and how you are currently showing up. Here, branding becomes the expression of that alignment, not the goal.
