Today we are reminded that we are commissioned by our Lord to make disciples through love, compassion, and service. By doing so, we fulfill the Great Commission in its truest sense. Discipleship is not merely about acquiring knowledge; it's about living out the teachings of Jesus through service to others. True discipleship involves not only hearing and understanding the Word of God but also actively applying it in our daily lives. It's about living out the teachings of Jesus in our actions, attitudes, and relationships. #beblessedandstayencouraged

Did you say back-to-school? Yes, I did! Sometimes family we have to go back to the school of life and learn from Teacher Jesus. How about a transforming lesson involving enough sleep and perhaps canceling poverty? Think you're ready for it? Tune in now...

But what if you and I reject or neglect our connection with Christ? The statement "If you're not with Christ, then sadly you are also gone" becomes truth. Without Christ, we may lose our way, purpose, and hope. Burdened by guilt, shame, and fear, we lack assurance and become vulnerable to despair. Thank God that doesn't have to be our reality. We can choose Christ today! We can choose to be PRESENT! #beblessedandstayencouraged

As much as it is a tragic to see one so young passes away, it is also tragic to watch one so young not live while still alive. Tragic because Christ is willing to give us the abundance life. Friends, watch out that the thieving enemy (whose only goal is to steal, kill, and destroy) has not stole your joy which is your strength/vitality, killed your faith, and destroyed your life in the process. You are too YOUNG to not LIVE!!! #beblessedandstayencouraged

Sometimes God simply must strip some things, thoughts, habits or thoughts out of our lives. He takes us from a state of spiritual disrepair to purpose. We called that process brokenness, spiritual remodeling. It can cause distress but, the final result will bring comfort and salvation. #beblessedandstayencouraged

As we give thanks for our blessings this season let us remember that the blessings is not just TO us but also THROUGH us. The best way to give thanks is to extend what we have to others. It is to serve our families, churches, and communities with the gifts and talents bestowed on us. It is to make sure the blessings will not just stay with us only. #beblessedandstayencouraged,

It's true salvation is personal, but our faith is meant to be visible and impactful. Jesus called us the "light of the world". How have you shine recently? Was it bright and strong? #beblessedandstayencouraged

You know that moment of fear, crisis and somehow you forget all of God's past interventions and find yourself taking matters into your own hands. Jacob had an episode like that and so have I. What happened next? Well, God wrestled with Jacob until he surrendered and with surrendering came Jacob's blessing...let's do the same! #beblessedandstayencouraged

Did you know that God's is everywhere? He is omnipresence, having the ability to be everywhere at once. Yet, just because something is everywhere doesn't mean we are accessing it. So the question is are we accessing the God who is everywhere? Are we close to Him?

I'm going to say it... You have an enemy who is out to get you. Even worse, you may not realize who this enemy is. In fact, the enemy you’ve been fighting and the battles you’ve been waging might just be decoys and distractions setup by your real enemy to confuse you.  #beblessedandstayencouraged

Regardless of what is or is coming I am going to be HOPEFUL in this season. We've been assured that hope and a future are waiting for us because God plans it so. Some of us are highly protective. I know I'm a mama bear who once saved my son from drowning. Yet, I'm not always good at protecting myself. Let's be PROTECTIVE of our bodies and minds today. #ImgoingtoBE #protective

Hey, what if I told you, we can be INTENTIONAL, yet UNPREDICTABLE, but at the same time IMPACTFUL. All we need to do is choose someone in our circle to show kindness because we have the power to make someone feel good. We can choose to be KIND today! #ImgoingtoBE #kind #beblessedandstayencouraged 

Okay we are agreeing to being and not just doing this week. And I gotta tell you I'm making my choice to be glad today. Keeping our joy is not just a privileged but a necessity. I pray that you are filled with joy today. #

We can all benefit by following Mary example of faith, courage and humility. Mary, mother of Jesus, is not just the divine angelic being so often portrayed in artwork or the Catholic church. Instead, Mary was in many ways like us. She was a sinner who needed a Savior. Yet she was special, highly favored by God, who endured testings and served in a remarkable way. She did this by trusting God even when she didn't know where God was taken her. #beblessedandstayencouraged

Today's episode is an old sermon of mine that centers on a woman named Ruth. Through her story we see God’s provisions, grace, love and redemption. We are reminded God has a plan that only our personality, background, skills, temperament and mindset can fulfill. Ruth's story is a wonderful reminder that God made us unique on purpose and that we can trust His plan. #beblessedandstayencouraged

Jesus is in the business of restoration. And from Scripture, his instruction to us is when they say no, when they reject, shake it off and move to the next! Yes, we can confess we are touched by rejection. After all, dust settles on whatever and whoever it landed on and that's a fact, but we can shake it off, and that family is Truth! Jesus said... "shake the dust of your feet."

The love we've experienced, the strenght and protection given to us, the hope for better tomorrows, the sound mind, the favors or good fortune we've received, we owe it all to our God, our Lord who never leaves nor forsakes, our Jehovah Jireh, who provides all good things, press down and running over, our Rohi, who will shepherd, lead, and navigate us through the many landscapes of life until we reach green pasture. It's not enough to just show up, but we need to show up as our best selves. And what is that you say? Well, this means showing up as my best self is to show up as who God created me to be. So if I am to show up as the WHO/WHY I was created to be then I must show up as "made in the image of God". And remember family, we were created to reflect God’s character, worth, and greatness. Oftentimes we find ourselves battling with our own fears, doubts and insecurities, questioning if we have what it takes.  I think this battle mostly comes because we put our confidence, trust, faith in things temporary (abilities, qualities & judgments)... and when they're not available we find ourselves doubting our worth. So how do we actually become the person God designed us to be? How do we embrace true confidence? For most of my adult years I have always wore the facade of strenght yet, inside I have quake with fear and uncertainty.  For years I felt inadequate, not worthy, insecure, the imposter among the gifted mass such as you. I've agonized over the fear that if others look too closely they will see the crack on my particular mask. I've been terrified that others would see that I didn't belong in the room, or in this instance, the hilltop. They would realize that I am a pillar, but one who is suffocating under the weight of "the mask of strength". In this episode I tell you a little more of my story. #beblessedandstayencouraged

One of the greatest joys in the world is living at peace with God and other people. We cannot have peace with God and at the same time have an unforgiving spirit with others. Therefore there are times in our lives that we must spend time in tears and prayer to forgive others who have hurt us in some shape or form. The simple truth is we are called to forgive as we have been forgiven. Be blessed and stay encouraged!

Can I be forgiven? Yes, you are forgiven. All can be forgiven! God’s love is big enough to love, forgive and sustain whomever believe in Him through Christ Jesus! #beblessedandstayencouraged

God is the only unchangeable force in a forever changing world where we are forever changing as well. Therefore, the truth of who God is does not change with the tides of our generation. The words of a popular song tells us... "You are God alone, from before time began You are on Your throne You are God alone And right now, in the good times and bad You are on Your throne, You are God alone" These words bring comfort to me and I pray they do the same for you. Listen, God sits on His throne seeking whomever will trust Him in these uncertain times.

If you and I make God our dwelling place then staying home is the best thing ever!

Rejection hurts! And yet that's the hurt we deal God when we turn away from His word, denies Jesus’s Lordship and walk away from the church. We reject Jesus Christ!

Holiness doesn't mean PERFECT! Holiness is obedience. It's a lifestyle that shows we're doing what God commands us to do daily. And that my friend, means you too can be holy. #beblessedandstayencouraged

Yep, trust me, or better yet believe what the Bible says, God sees you! This is not a judgment call, I'm simply letting you know the God whose love is everlasting sees us and He loves us anyway. I want to encourage someone today to tell the devil "get thee behind". Don't let the past, shame, or doubt stop you from coming into fellowship with Christ Jesus and His body, the church. The goods, the bads and the uglies, God sees them all and He still loves you. See you in the church building soon. #beblessed&stayencouraged

You are invited! I don't know about you, but I get pretty excited when I received an invitation. It makes me feel special and wanted. Yet, even more special is knowing that Jesus invites us into relationships with him. Listen to how He customized an invitation to this woman and this man in the Bible.
